2 fingers up 2 the SPL, 50,000 @ Ibrox 2moro, all eyes on Rangers

Cammy1250 *****

Believable26 Unbelievable16

Why, what else would you expect at a stadium that holds 50,000!

The excitement of a brand new football club is too much!

Agree11 Disagree17

So it should be full a season ticket costs a fraction of the original price..

Agree11 Disagree6

Gonny have a higher attendence than the rest of the SPL games combined, I'm sure it'l be a sell out. The last few thousand tickets will get sold tomorow as they are being sold at the ticket office all morning.

Agree10 Disagree4

All eyes on celtic. its on tv. yeeha.

Agree9 Disagree20

No one cares, that's why your in div 3. Let's see who shows up when you can't beat the clubs, ally and green would have to go out and say how ppl are against you,, bigots this and that and how they use hate to draw in the support. So sad that works

Agree17 Disagree21

What a bunch of wallies. You could have bought the club lock, stock and Ibrox for the amount spent on season tickets. Another example of fools and their money. Green would never have believed he could get so many idiots to pay good money to watch the worst standard of football in Europe.
Sad indictment on Scottish education.

Agree15 Disagree17

Yeh maybe the big crowd will help you forget you are in Division Three Oh how the mighty have fallen

Agree12 Disagree13

@ 4) I would rather watch England playing cricket(and that's saying something)than watch your mob on the box, anyway the SPL without Glasgow Rangers has lost it's sparkle. Geo,Chatanooga,TN. Yeeha!

Agree15 Disagree7

So sad that you can only start getting 50000 after you go bust and ticket prices are slashed. Celtic get it every year. You may have more fans this week than the SPL combined, but next time you're away the total attendance in Div3 will be smaller than Hearts. Its all lies and statistics. But you will be the biggest little club in the world. {Ed039's Note - Patheticly put together post)

Agree7 Disagree7

..And still the hatred spews from the cellic fans....sad very very sad...

Agree13 Disagree9

For post 5. No one cares. Why are you on the rangers banter page. You care. Haha. I feel your pain. WATP.

Agree7 Disagree5

@7 No I think the big crowd will remind us We Are The People.

Agree9 Disagree7

Let's just wait & see what stadium has the highest attendance , when it comes down to it ! 4 to 5 weeks down the line parkhead will be half empty ! while IBROX will be " Bouncing "....

Agree8 Disagree7

@9 CFC FC PLC, opening game of the season 2012/2013 Flag unfurling day, attendance 48,251, 20% of your support didn't turn up.
You certainly don't get 50,000 plus every year. Celtic v Dunfermline 23/11/11, 41,000, that's probably the number of season ticket holders. Europa Lgue 2011/2012 average attendance 32,945.
Yeah, it's all lies and statistics.
Back to your loft.

Agree5 Disagree4

I said all along the Rangers support would stay loyal. And they have.

& I also said Bomber Brown was gonna make a clown of himself and he has. Wonder how he feels today?

'Starve out Green' LOL

BARNEY BEAR {Ed039's Note - I hope that old boy got his money back off him)

Agree4 Disagree2

@10: can you quote the hatred you refer to?

Agree4 Disagree3

The stadium holds c.50,000 and considering the plight of the club, it would be a travesty if it wasn't at least 80% full considering the number of supporters and the reduced cost of tickets. Every time Rangers played at home in the past, the attendance was more than the rest of the SPL because of the fan-base. It would be a massive indictment on Rangers fans now if that wasn't the case today. Fair play for the continuation of support in a lower league but it's not hugely surprising given the alternative: not supporting the club at a time when it really needs you (and the subsequent ridicule about not turning up from the fans of other clubs).

Instead of trying to brag about attendances on here, shouldn't you be hoping the performance of the team on the pitch for the loyal fans is much better than that of last Saturday?

1903

Agree3 Disagree1

@ 13. Totally agree, timmy will lose interest by end of October(maybe sooner) and darkhead will be half empty on matchday.

Agree4 Disagree5

@18: why do you care? Are you obsessed with Celtic's attendances? {Ed039's Note - Are you obsessed with rangers)

Agree4 Disagree2

No ed. but thanks for asking.

Agree2 Disagree2

Ha ha good to see timothy hurting, obsessed by the Rangers as always, the fact that you lot are still coming on to our pages proves it's all about the Rangers, always has been and always will be, love it, and thanks for coming on and confirming what we already knew, IT'S ALL ABOUT THE RANGERS. P.S here's to another possible world record today, beautiful.

Agree0 Disagree2

Cop this bears!!!
In the Estádio do Arruda in Recife, an attendance of 59,966 was recorded as home-side Santa Cruz booked a return to Série C with a 0-0 with Treze
Having come from 3-1 down away from home to pull level at 3-3, the result was enough for the Pernambuco side, long regarded as one of the best supported in Brazil.
Despite their lowely status, Santa Cruz have regularly attracted massive crowd figures and bost a massively loyal support, a feature of North-Eastern sides in Brazil.
Other teams promoted to Série C include Oeste and Mirassol.
How sad. It's a pity Ibrox is so small.
Maybe you could rent parkhead if you want to get a record.

Agree3 Disagree2

Celtics average attendance last year was 49967. That's the average. So 50000 was basically correct unless you want to argue about 33. Don't just pick our lowest attendance. Yours was 46519. Well done, we are both big well supported clubs. But your "holding company" cheated and avoided tax so that's why you're playing East Stirling. Enjoy.

Agree4 Disagree1

The Commision set up to look at the EBT problem is high powered. With the damning evidence which has been highlighted so far ( Dodds, Rae, etc ) it looks to be a bleak future for the Govan loyal . Certainly titles and trophies will be forfeited and I would imagine a short term suspension. Start again in season 2013/14

Believable13 Unbelievable33

Suspension not an option. Doncaster n Liewell organised a contract with Sky to show Rangers games. They can't afford to break the contract as the SPL is in a bad enough state without losing more telly money. You need to separate wishfull thinking from reality.

Agree22 Disagree11

Titles or trophies will not be lost to Lawwell/SPL without a fight i.e. appeal, protest, challenge, etc. I detect by your post that you're a celtic fan because only your kind keep harping on about taking our titles away. Why not, if all goes against Rangers, a hefty fine instead, payable to youth or school football thereby satisfying all fair-minded officials and fans. Geo the Ger

Agree28 Disagree4

(1.)-Absolutely correct-they built their own barrel, we (Gers fans) can observe them as they straddle the barrel & laugh at the predicament they have created for themselves.

The SPL clubs(in reality not the clubs but their fans or was it fans of a few clubs influencing their thoughts?) got what they wanted- Rangers gone away!

O.P. You mention a bleak future. Will the SPL get the cash distributed to members before they suffer financial problems?

The SPL also has an obligation to pay a sum of money(a reported £2m) to the SFL as part of the deal when the SPL was formed- when will that be paid? or is legal action on the horizon?

Incidentally, how is it possible for the SPL to be having cash-flow problems? They have negotiated a tv contract similar to what was already in place before Rangers imploded & no sponsors have jumped ship, so what is the problem?

Maybe fans of clubs in the SPL should be concerning themselves with that rather than bothering about a club (Rangers) who are not part of the greedy cabal!

To sum up this rant (I hope it makes sense- I am drinking vodka-it's good!) Forget about EBT investigations, suspensions, forfeited titles & trophies. The question is what deal did Neil Doncaster & Peter Lawwel negotiate? Did they not ask the simple question-when do we get the money? Clearly not, when the SPL state they can't say when they will distribute the cash.

The whole thing is a (insert expletive here) shambles!

ThatsNotMyName

Agree11 Disagree1

Is the tv deal not a one year deal with a four year option depending on viewing figures watch this space league reconstruction surely not sporting integrity ?????????? Mmmmmmmmmm

Agree0 Disagree1

Some posts just make up s--t the worse that will happen stripping of titles (5 in that period)but most encouraging for me is the loyalty of our support turning out for games buying season tickets truly asstounding .we may be bottom tier take us a bit too rebuild to get back were we belong .probally get a few drubbing now and again from higher league teams in cups.with our fan base we will be back stronger than ever

Agree3 Disagree2

Nimmo already been involved with the SFA and Regan. Flint has ties to Celtics Brian Quinn and Harper McLeod, Celtics lawyers, who prepared this witch hunt.
Nicholas Stewart , he is the supporters of a Club that actually HID their use of EBTs , Arsenal

Independent ? Aye right

The chickens are coming home to roost and I really can't wait!

Roll up and buy yer half price season books!

Get Ally on that 25 year contract !

Agree2 Disagree2

@6: not paranoid at all, are you?

Agree2 Disagree2

Why Liewell? What's he lied about? Isn't it fans like you who've been lied to by your club's board for the last decade or so?

ED how many over 21's are clubs allowed in SPL3 ? I thought it was 20 but am unsure

Paddy Malarkey

Tried to post this earlier to no avail .Got an answer on the other page .Any chance of a wee email as to why you were unable to post it ? {Ed039's Note - I replied to it mate, I actually dont know to be honest because lets face it, its not something I have actually had to concern myself, but I text my mate who is a Stirling Albion fan so maybe he will know. I know they dont have rules like the SPL where you need a certain number of outfield players to be named in your matchday squad under 21)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

OP, I posted this a couple of times before in response to similar questions.
The Constitution and Rules state a club can have 22 registered players who have reached the age of 21.
Section 11, 115.2.

just a thought! What happened to all the posters from the dark side who said we'd struggle to sell twenty to thirty thousand season tickets. Think we just proved who the best supporters in the world are watp craigton bear

Believable16 Unbelievable8

Their eating humble pie or is it killie pies leftover from last season

Agree7 Disagree5

If they figures are correct then very well done, but i think rangers fans are missing the bigger picture here.

if the new club dont sell 30,000 plus season tickets then they'd be back in administration by xmas,,,,,the running costs maintenance , insurance etc of ibrox are around 1,ooo,ooo a month.

dont be too suprised if 30,000 tickets are sold and the actual attendence sits at around 17,000 on average throughout the season.

Agree5 Disagree6

You'll sell them if their 30% cheaper. So would they.

Agree6 Disagree2

There is no "new club", just Rangers.

17000 by Xmas ? Not too much more than Celtic - lol

Believable0 Unbelievable1

It depends mate, which option did you select post or collection. If you selected post and did this before 4pm yesterday then you will receive them in time, if not then you need to collect them from the ticket office.

hello bears, just back from the bookies so the prices i quote are from corals, nearest to me... right tomorrow you play the shire. statistically and officially the worst senior team in british football over the last 30 years, i know you have struggled a bit against brechin and peterhead. but this is your first home league match and it will be pretty much a full house.. so i'm going with the east fife result and have gone for this... £10 on 6-0 20/1 £10 on 7-0 25/1 and £10 on 8-0 40/1. so if i'm right 200 250 400 pounds back.. now bears i want you to wish me luck not pray for 5-0 or 9-0 .. shamrock {Ed039's Note - I'll take a 1-0 after last weeks result Shamrock)

Sorry Ally, but apparently you DO Walk away...
The Glasgow Underground has reported
poor financial figures and blames it
on less Rangers fans travelling to games
by underground.
It goes on with rangers early exits from
europe and both domestic cup competitions
the annual passenger figures were down
120,000.
With Rangers now languishing in the
bottom tier of football, the underground
do not expect to make up these figures
this year. Timalloy {Ed039's Note - Timalloy what has that got to do with the price of cheese?)

Believable5 Unbelievable12

You are a prat timalloy-the second para of your post explains the down turn nothing to do with walking away it was there were less games played!Away back to your leggo set and see if you can put more than 5 bricks together!

Agree6 Disagree5

Ha ha ED039 the clue is in the title of your page BANTER.... LOL Timalloy
Ps can I have my hook back? {Ed039's Note - Yes Timalloy, you can remove it from my mouth because I did bite)

Agree2 Disagree1

Sorry for second post ED039, forgot to say I will be helping underground tomorrow as I am taking my two nephews to game, promise I made them if they went to HJK game with us. lol Timalloy
PS ED039 well I would not want ALL Rangers fans to forget what european nights are like...... {Ed039's Note - I'll be the fat guy in the East Enclosure lol)

Agree1 Disagree2

Although I am Celtic through and through ( you would never guess) and I enjoy my wee mischievous posts on here, seeing my nephews in tears when club folded was bad, we will all miss the atmosphere at Celtic- Rangers games.
To the genuine RFC (Sevco, sorry had to put it in) fans hasten back, to the others you are the ones I enjoy winding up Timalloy

Alexander, Broadfoot, Goian, Bocanegra all need to go - not because they are good or bad, but because their wages are TOO high for us at present.
We could probably get twice as many players for the same money although i think we only need 2 or 3 more

Believable7 Unbelievable5

Already have a small squad and you want to get rid of another four and replace them with 2 or 3! I agree with broadfoot and goian goin coz there mince but we need another few in,youngsters hopefully coz we have enuff senior players the now

Agree1 Disagree0

Cribari was signed surely to fill the void if Goian,or Bocanegra leave.
Hopefully he will make his debut against East Stirling.
We need another Goal-keeper as cover for
Alexander.

Agree2 Disagree0

You are totally right, we cant afford their wages as they have went back to their orginally wages before admin.
The club have told their agents to find them other clubs asap. i dont think this includes Alexander thou.

If it does, then dont read the posts)

Agree7 Disagree2

I agree with you ed... i watch a lot of 3rd games last few year and their good to watch but my thoughts is the players your signing (spl) will take away the competition and fans could get bored 6 months or a year down the line when the novelty wears off the crowds will drop (imo) ... 2nd and 1st will be the big test for yous

from Official site

ALLY McCOIST could hand Emilson Cribari a debut tomorrow after the Brazilian defender received international clearance.

The Rangers boss has already said this week that the 32-year-old central defender has been training well and was close to being ready.

And with clearance now received the experienced former Lazio star could be included in the manager's squad for the meeting with East Stirlingshire.

Rapid Vienna in the press this morning demanding their £1m balance for Jelavic. This could cause huge problems and won't just go away believe me. The whole system of player purchase depends on paying up and CVA and liquidation doesn't scam out of it.
Secondly, end August over £2.1m due on vat on ticket sales. Will Green pay up or do a Whyte?

Believable6 Unbelievable6

Aye ok... Where u hearing this? Where do u get ur figures from? Did we only sell full adult price season tickets?

'The' Rangers fans players manager and owner are continually saying that its time to put the past behind them and'lets get back to playing football', yet every single day they make a contraversial statement to keep off field stuff in the limelight, me thinks they are scared that everyone is going to forget about them as if you have watched their first few games they are nothing but an average Div 3 team, WATP, you are having a giraffe! VEGIEBHOY

Believable11 Unbelievable14

Will the best supporters in the world be turning out in droves tomorrow, I doubt it, one big game in Scotland tomorrow and despite what you believe we are big news and still the people!!

Agree10 Disagree4

Would an average division three team beat a second division team 4-0? I reckon you are are obsessed with Rangers to try to take your mind of how poor a team you support, one that will be embarrassed in Europe and is on a downward slope, money drying up, poor season ticket sales and essentially are very dark future.

Your right calling in to question the sfa's credibility, claiming bias by ref's, linesmen bigotry by authorities against the angelic manager and so on . Hang on isn't that your team?

GREEN SLIPS UP . . . AGAIN

Rangers Admit that "the Club" Went into Administration, not the "Holding Company"

The statement goes on to say, and Mr Green repeats, "The debts were outstanding from the time the Club went into administration."

Mr Green adds, "There was no obligation on the consortium buying the Club to pick them up."

This seems to create another combination in the seemingly infinite set of theories about the continued existence of Rangers.

So we have the comment that the club went into administration – but the club did not go into administration, we are led to believe, it was merely the "holding company" or the company owning the club, or some other comment which works simply to distance club and company. But here the official Rangers FC website states that "the Club" went into administration.

However, "the Club" was then bought by "the consortium". Not the assets and business of the club, but rather the club itself, which was apparently in administration.

Being legalistic about it, that cannot be and is not correct. Even by the standards of the present debate, it is not right. If the club is separate from the company owning it, how can the club go into administration? That suggests an admission that club and company are synonymous.

Believable11 Unbelievable13

Let go. You are making a fool of yourself.

Agree4 Disagree4

Let me guess you are not a rangers fan are you. Keep believing what you want mate if you believe it it must be real. But I give it to you the simple way rangers are still called rangers rangers still play at ibrox rangers still play in the same strip rangers still train at murraypark you lot still hate rangers old and new rangers still have the same manager same fans same trophies in the trophy cabinet. So for me there are to many things still the same for it not to be the same. So you keep telling yourself whatever you want but your wasting your time telling it to us because we don't care we still have a team to support and that's all that matters

Agree7 Disagree4

Desperado jargon to explain the existence of an animal that died. What is the club, what is the holding company...never heard such a crock. Listening to the bitterness from the Gers fans proves they know this to be true. Boycott this, bigotry that, everybody hates us, Ian Black was booed cause he's a Ger (sorry that would have been laughter), SFA are picking on us, have we no been punished enough....

Just an aside...listening to Clyde and a Ger fan is complaining about the Simpson testimonial because he ended Durrant's career. I agree I don't like Simpson, I remember the tackle. Not too different from Black though.

To the OP who thinks Bears change their values, Of course we booed Ian Black he is a thug and was an opposition player who tried to put our best player at the time out of the game. In an ideal world he wouldn't be allowed near Ibrox and would be serving a lengthy ban, but he is now at Rangers and will not be booed by us. The Tranny Army booing a Scotland player onto the park! who would have thought it! what possible reason could they have?did he get booed making his previous apps for the A & B sides? don't think so, but then again he didn't play for the Gers then. I personally have not changed my views on this guy but he is at Ibrox and will receive my support as will the whole squad while we begin our journey back to the top.

p.s.
Shouldn't the Tranny Army have easier targets for abuse, like their manager! Road to Rio! he is aa bigger comedian than Bob Hope ever was.

Believable10 Unbelievable9

Who's bob hope? Ian Black is a thug and a coward who has a past of being just that also caught in a night club with drugs yet he got off with that too. the boy is a disgrace and getting paid plenty for a 3rd division player.. he has always been a rat and always will be no matter who he plays with. THE END

Agree5 Disagree3

Ian black was booed because he played for hearts not by the tartan army but by hibs fans at easter road nothing to do with being a rangers player if that was the case rangers players would have been booed at peterhead if everyone had an agenda against rangers.

Agree1 Disagree3

Tranny army booing a Scotland player, short memory man, remember Johnstone and Hay,no did not think so.

Who cares if he was caught with drugs? Got ffff all to do with his football.

@2 Am fed up hearing it was Hib's fans only.Untrue! A variety of fans (with different reasons)were doing the booing. Not saying it was right or wrong but will say it again----it was NOT only Hibs fans.

Agree4 Disagree0

To dtp89 well the fact that football players are meant to be roll models to kids so we do care about them getting caught with drugs.
try thinking before you post and say no to drugs.

Based on the number of fans on here complaining about phoning the ticket office I wonder if Green has set up the line to make a few quid...

Believable8 Unbelievable10

Why is everything got to have a motive behind it, catch a grip, to many tims on here trying to upset us, is your own club to boring to talk about? Last weekend I was in the pub instead of talking about their upcoming game against real Madrid all as they could talk about was rangers. What's thst all about?

Agree3 Disagree2

@1: because the Rangers saga is a huge talking point for everyone with an interest in Scottish football. Don't tell us if it was Celtic in that position, you wouldn't be discussing it and laughing/gloating on their site? It's banter, remember.

Agree2 Disagree0

I think the OP could be correct in what he is saying and i am a Rangers fan.

Just got tickets for the weekend. It says on the rangers website it's 3 on sat bt someone told me it's moved to 4 on Sunday. Is this right? Strange time for a kickoff on Sunday.

Believable2 Unbelievable10

No the game against Elgin has been moved to 4.30pm on Sunday 2nd September. The game tomorrow is a three o'clock kick off.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's Elgin game at 4.30 on 1st september I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think there talking about the Elgin game which has changed to 4pm due to Great Scottish Run.

Agree0 Disagree0

No it is the Elgin game that has been moved

So let me get this straight ?
according to the CFC fans on here

We are still Rangers FC so we must pay all our fines and debts ?

AND

We are NOT still Rangers FC so we are not due all the money owed to Rangers

George Orwell would be proud of that Doublethink

OP. You could level the same charge at your own fans. So calm down.

It's really very simple. If you can't understand it you're not going to be able to deal with most issues in life.
You're a new football club. Period. Nobody owes you money, so u got that correct.
You have assumed penalties as an entrance requirement to Scottish football. That doesn't mean that you're the oldco, it just means the authorities thought those fair and appropriate penalties.
Really very simple to understand, all above board and no anti Rangers agenda.

Agree5 Disagree4

Not just Celtic fans, add SPL and SFA. In fact the only ones to come out of this with any sporting integrity is the SFL.

Agree3 Disagree3

I would say look at yourselves before you talk about Celtic fans thinking cause if you do you would see a lot of your fans wanting it one way and the other, trying to take the good from both. You want the money but not any punishment as well you want your history but no punishment, so wake up already and get yourself sorted, your dead club really messed you thinking up eh.

Agree3 Disagree2

I dont understand why the gers fans are not getting this, its very simple. Rangers went into liquidation and the old compnay folded (or will fold soon).
For a new club to start in the Div 3 they need 3 years of accounts obviosuly something The Rangers dont have as they are only a few months old. So the SFL bended over backwards and allowed The Rangers to get in as long as they took some Financial Penalities and they agreed to pay some of the debt of the old company. You are having to pay the debts as you dont have 3 years of accounts (history) and this means you jumped the que ahead of spartans etc. everybody out to get us blah blah blah is getting boring. Your old club has gone as it failed financial and the only people to blame are David Murray and Craig Whytes no one else!!

Neil Alexander should be Scotland goalkeeper for Serbia game, how many Scottish goalkeepers do we have that has played in a uefa cup final?

Believable11 Unbelievable7

How many keepers do Scotland have who have played in the EPL?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense! alexander would have not played if McGregor was available.

Gordon and McGregor are better players - end of!

Rab Douglas and he's currently playing in the SPL, not division 3, a more worthy candidate i would think........Stevie

Agree1 Disagree3

He's a good reliable goalie but your stat is hardly bullet proof is it? David Marshall kept a clean sheet at the Nou Camp, it still doesn't mean I think he should get the job.

Agree2 Disagree0

Why not call up Big Rab Douglas then he's still playing in the Scottish Premier as well........DH {Ed039's Note - Wow, that has got to be the worst idea ever)

Agree2 Disagree2

Yes your are at the pi55 take i'm sure or are you really that stupid? form etc would/should be main reason for getting a game in any team

How many goal keepers we got thats playede in the ramsdens cup ??
