I just hope with the state the Jambos and Hibs that we don't accept extra tickets to fill the ends with our support at their middens. When they were going great we got our wee section behind the goals and told to lump it. You can bet we will be offered the full ends for the upcoming games there? 🇬🇧.

17 Sep 2019 16:27:28
Aye, but Levein won't be in charge. stuff their ticket allocation!

16 Sep 2019 18:37:32
For anyone who hasn't watched the Motherwell v Hearts highlights.
It's worth a look!

16 Sep 2019 21:15:38
Hearts are in terminal decline, sad to see, but Levein is clueless. A manager who used to be a defender allowing his team to be so bad at the back. Our problems are trivial compared to them.

16 Sep 2019 21:27:24
What's your point BAR72,that the motherwell V hearts highlights is worth a look? Is it a particular player or the team performance of motherwell mate?

16 Sep 2019 23:21:00
Seedorfs goal is a belter to be fair.

17 Sep 2019 05:38:03
have WE got problems?

17 Sep 2019 08:14:41
SGL - Motherwell are not the they were last year, they play quick attacking football and are sitting with the same points as us and only a goal or 2 difference. Hearts (I think) are better side than Livingston and Motherwell ripped them apart away from home. Their forward line (Seedorf especially on the left) could give our guys a headache (in my opinion! )

17 Sep 2019 09:10:51
Motherwell are not on the same points as us and if they give us problems they will give them problems, if we can't beat both these teams then we will not get 55 this season.

17 Sep 2019 09:24:37
To be honest Motherwell looked far better against Celtic than we did. In 1st half they had them on ropes.

17 Sep 2019 12:03:17
and yet still lost ….

18 Sep 2019 14:03:15
Eric - if Motherwell play to form it might be an Orwellian nightmare for you!

Expectations? Standards?
I know this site is all about opinions.
But when did some on here just think Rangers should turn up and teams are going to hand us the 3 points?
I'm fortunate enough to have been around to have enjoyed all off our own 9IAR.
I'm also unfortunately old enough to have been around before the Souness revolution.
As fans we take the good with the bad over the years.
We don't spit the dummy out over one poor display to our rivals for the title in the first month of the season!
Some are questioning the manager's future after 5 league games!
Some are saying we should forget his achievements in guiding us into the Europa league groups for the 2nd year in a row.
Some are conveniently forgetting we played Celtic off the park twice at Ibrox last season.
He isn't above criticism for the poor performance against Celtic. But they are nothing special.
The hysteria from some on here that are predicting Celtic are going to walk to 9IAR because Gerrard is in charge and we don't have a left back, another striker and a number 10 to break teams down is way over the top in my opinion.
Especially where we have come from in the last few years.
Especially since we were seen as a soft touch before Gerrard took over.
Last season was a learning curve for Gerrard.
This season? I think we can already see the fighting spirit / team bond / never say die attitude.
We played and won until the final whistle and came back from a goal down.
It brings me back to Expectations? Standards?
As a Rangers fan, I believe we've come through the most difficult period in our history on the playing side and that is down to Gerrard raising the Expectations of us the supporters to the point where the Celtic defeat hurt more than others.
He's got us believing again. The team is a joy to watch at times. It's not his fault ( or is it? ) the opposition now treat us with respect and put men behind the ball.
This in turn means the players / manager didn't hit the Standards expected of Rangers players in that same game. Should that one game define the season? Definitely not.
The result was a major disappointment but we are only 5 games into the season.
Should we be contemplating or even be discussing changing the manager? NO!
For the first time in a while the team are all together.
Let's give them the backing they deserve.
In Gerrard We Trust!
Let's Go!
#55.

16 Sep 2019 12:43:46
Well said that man!

16 Sep 2019 13:48:07
@snell - better to go long winded. That way people may get fed up half way through and just agree with you anyway! 😂👍.

16 Sep 2019 13:53:39
Probably the most sensible post I’ve ever read on here. 100% with you on that.

16 Sep 2019 13:59:21
I am of a similar age Let’s Go, couldn’t agree more with your original post. Although I did stop for a coffee halfway through! 😜.

16 Sep 2019 18:26:42
Long winded post. I like SG and want him to do well. However. I am sick of him moaning about stupid things. Against Celtic, the team he put out was terrible. On Saturday we should have been 2 down. Firstly down to Arfield and almost Halliday. Now. People know my feelings on Halliday. he's not good enough and SHOULD not be in the team. I am also old to know what the team has came through. Do I see progress in SG team? Yes. But If he doesn't win the title this season I think he can't be trusted for next season. That my opinion. he's been backed by the board. More than any other manager in recent times. In the summer we bought too many midfielders and should have bought another striker. We should have also bought another LB. something is wrong there. Europe is another free hit but we need to win the league this season. Hers hoping!
One more thing. We need to blend is more youngsters. These young guys are not getting a chance.

16 Sep 2019 19:34:01
Good post 55 long though i shaved twice reading it :)

16 Sep 2019 19:43:00
@as1974 - should've, could've but we weren't 2 down.
Another one playing the if, buts and maybes card.
As for blending youth. When? Plenty on here saying we need to win silverware this season so that rules out both cups. Maybe if we open up a 20+ lead at the top of the table he can play some of the development squad? 😉😆.

16 Sep 2019 19:57:35
Your right but we need to look at both negatives and positives and not to have tunnel vision.
I meant youth as in maybe 1 or 2. Not talking 5 or 6. For example LB. unearth a gem. I know we need to win silverware. I want and hope SG does well. We need to look at him as a manager and not the footballer he was. I know he's got a lot to learn but going back to the Celtic game. Totally baffled me and thousand others.

16 Sep 2019 21:58:54
Anyone ever noticed if you spell bill leckies name backwards its leckie bill 🙄.

17 Sep 2019 09:30:18
My spelling is terrible I get it as wee Fanny! 😂.

17 Sep 2019 12:02:54
It doesn't matter where we have been, its all about where we are going. I think a lot of people are frustrated with gerrard because of his formation, team selection and tactics against celtic particularly when he knows already how to play against celtic but did the complete opposite.

I think its over the top to want him sacked. I don't think aribo or ojo improve our starting 11 based on what we have seen so far. The game passed by both on saturday. Ojo did play the pass for barker's goal. And coop you can't have a go at anyone for wanting mcinnes when you wanted billy davies.

16 Sep 2019 07:59:36
Stupid question time, now that we are back and some of us delusional enough to think we can really challenge this year, and yes I include myself, Would you have rather we missed the ride through the lower leagues? I'm not sure I would, some great memories through the hard times.

16 Sep 2019 09:35:45
It’s had its good points and bad points. Should never have happened in the first place and was horrible at times. Still think if we’d tried to stick with more youth players than bringing in folk like Nicky Clarke we could be in a better position now than what we are. And it’s caused a lot of ill feeling towards icons like McCoist, for mistakes made in his very first managerial experience.

On the other side, think it’s unified the support more than ever before.

Big picture though, yes I would gladly have avoided it. Think it’s set Scottish football back a great deal (not that the other clubs would admit it) and bred a lot of bitterness at the same time which is contributing to the crowd troubles that keep cropping up.

16 Sep 2019 10:51:57
Yes stupid question very good.

16 Sep 2019 10:58:00
I could have lived without it. I don't think any of us who believe we can topple Celtic this season are delusional. That accusation is simply self defeatist. We have a great squad.

17 Sep 2019 12:18:33
Should never have happened?
So u think its ok to do what you did and get straight into the top division?
