Just watching the Gladbach v Frankfurt game and an interesting to note the players can't get in the refs face wonder if that will continue if this ever ends. Just also wondering if a player forgot and approached a ref would they give him a straight red for endangering the ref. Bizarre time right enough. Players looked nacked BYT LOL.

16 May 2020 17:55:04
Just watched England 90.
Squad
Woods
Butcher
Steven
Stevens
Gascoigne who went on to sign.

16 May 2020 18:19:58
Some players John. How good was Gazza!

16 May 2020 18:51:17
Amazing. Shows where we are nowadays.

16 May 2020 20:18:47
Gazza. He should have been one of the best ever and did waste his God given talent🇬🇧 Maybe to our advantage ✌️.

16 May 2020 21:06:04
Paul Gascoigne quite simply yately01 was a genius, an absolute maverick of a footballer! Voted the greatest english footballer over the last half a century, says it all really mate! 👌As far as i'm concerned gazza was the greatest footballer to EVER play in scottish football, bar none! 👍👏.

16 May 2020 22:17:45
I can't and won't argue with your opinion coops just now but would love to spend a few hours with yourself and others over a beer or two trying to change your mind and vice versa. My own favorites growing up was our very own Mr David Cooper and Brian Laudrup. I just wonder in 10 years time when this generation grow up a bit who will they look back on as their favorite Rangers players?

16 May 2020 22:46:03
Jim Baxter for me but Gazza was special.

17 May 2020 05:47:37
TJJB I can just see it now, the youngsters arguing in 10yrs as to whether Tav or goldson is the greatest Ger ever to wear the jersey 😂😂 no offence to them but at least we have laudrup and Gazza to remember.

17 May 2020 05:33:25
Colin Stein, ran his socks off for 90 mins chased after balls he was never going to get, not as gifted or as classy as some but would be first on my team sheet every week, David Cooper would be next ahead of wee Willie Henderson.

17 May 2020 11:59:33
HENRIK.

16 May 2020 17:18:29
Assuming there is the will to respond to the seasons outcome. As fans, our only REAL power is to boycott away grounds. There is no doubt this would impact all clubs, some more than most. Thing is:
Could this realistically be done?
What effect would this have on results?

16 May 2020 19:03:10
Agreed and it’s what should be done. But we’ll be shouted by those who either won’t see the bigger picture, don’t care or don’t agree. I’d prefer Rangers didn’t take any allocations. Couldn’t care less of other clubs suffer, they don’t deserve a Single blue pound.

17 May 2020 15:44:17
Ibrox4me, i swore i would go to any away grounds, once we got back into premier league, and I've not been to any away games, don't get me wrong sometimes i wished at attended away grounds, but my word is my bond, so no more ever for me, i know a lot of us said it at the time, but obviously some stil go, tho. I think its maybe locals, without season books that attend away games, though when i hear some of the songs i'm glad i never went, mate.

16 May 2020 16:17:50
I wonder when we will find out officially,
that castore are going to be our new kit manufacturers and the finer details of the deal and its duration. Its been over 2 weeks now since james bisgrove said that an announcement to all our supporters on the identity of our new kit manufacturers and retail partners was imminent. 🤔I honestly thought it would have been announced by now!

16 May 2020 17:56:38
Legally my understanding can’t annouce till July.

16 May 2020 18:17:00
I think they can announce it before the end of july John25.They obviously won't sell any kits 'till the deal with hummel/ elite and sports direct officially finishes on the 1st of august, that's my understanding of it mate. I think legally they can announce castore anytime now, as our new kit manufacturers!

16 May 2020 18:35:10
agreed John and am sure you mentioned that previously too.

16 May 2020 18:52:30
Sgl definitely cannot announce new kit manufacturers now.

16 May 2020 19:05:47
Yet they announced Adidas weeks ago? I’m sure they must be able to announce the supplier and launch date. Happens everywhere else.

16 May 2020 19:19:00
Rangers i'm told will announce castore as our new kit manufacturers before the end of this month John25.
James bisgrove himself said about a fortnight ago, that he would announce/ introduce our new kit manufacturers and retail partners to the rangers supporters imminently.
He actually used the word introduce.

16 May 2020 21:26:47
Sgl and others nothing to do weigh Celtic announcements theirs. We had court case.
Although we r to announce something tomorrow.

Wonder what.
Some say new deal
Maybe we r continue pursuit spfl
Roll on tomorrow it’s all about Rangers.

16 May 2020 21:53:00
SGL - are you sure its castor this time? You've mentioned every other maker and swore by them every time.

16 May 2020 22:18:58
John25,the announcement on our new kit deal is tomorrow morning and set your alarm for 7am pal! What did i tell you mate, of course you can announce our new kit manufacturers,
before the other deals run out. It happens consistently at every club pal!

17 May 2020 13:28:32
SGL u seem to forget we have had to deal with court case after court case from SD
Watch this space.

16 May 2020 16:00:18
as much as I still feel a " and VOID season was the way to go, it doesn't stop the harsh reality that our season WAS over pre virus. The season was finished with no silverware realistically achievable. Our manger got a "get out of jail card " that masked his failure to bring the goods home. The Europa run was a saviour but that was ending also with the big winners being the fans that enjoyed that run. If there is indeed a 20-21 season the jury is still out whether he can turn his goojc into a #55 success. maybe he quits with the card intact and saves his career .

16 May 2020 20:19:44
Tomorrow morning at 7am is the announcement ✌️🇬🇧.

16 May 2020 15:23:05
Folks, I see on the BBC Webpage that Anne Budge has been given the green light to resurrect a short term reconstruction proposal. This is another stitch up, now that the SPFL got there way as usual. I said in a post a few weeks ago, that Rangers would end up the only losers in all of this, and sadly, I may be right, total mish mash of a system.

16 May 2020 15:45:40
The SPFL are pretending that they are helping Hearts to get them on the their side, thereby isolating Rangers and making us look like the bad guys who are the only ones complaining etc etc. Dirty tricks, you couldn't make it up!

16 May 2020 16:15:28
irvger not trying to be argumentative but could you tell me why you believe Rangers are the only losers in this. What is it they are losing?

Like is said not looking for an argument just interested in your thoughts.

Thanks.

16 May 2020 16:18:43
Please explain how we r losers in this, half our support after Hamilton game conceded league loads wantEd SG Sacked.
We blew league after break.

16 May 2020 17:05:17
John and Mojo, we will come out of all this with no credibility at all, that's basically what I meant. I'm the first to admit that I don't think we had a pigs chance in hell of winning the league, but perfectly valid points supported by 12 others were totally rejected by the majority, as was the reconstruction proposal, now, magically the SPFL give Anne Budge the green light to come up with a short term plan, thus, I would imaging dispensing with Relegation this season, how can you have Champions without relegation. Excuse my rant, I am just sick to death of the goal posts being continually moved by this lot at Hampden.

16 May 2020 17:32:38
You can have champions without relegation by league reconstruction.
Obviously what Budge, Spfl, and other teams demoted are trying to achieve.
Whether they get it or not is another mater.

16 May 2020 17:53:02
irvger thanks very much for you response and I agree that salient points were missed and I would have welcomed an investigation to either clear things up or highlight poor governance. I am glad that you recognise that Rangers would have, on the balance or recent results, probably not have won the league. I think Doncaster will have to leave his post soon as he lacks credibility. You can have Champions without relegation as that has happened before but I think in the end Hearts will be relegated no matter how hard they try.

16 May 2020 19:03:33
Good evening Mojo, thank you for your response, I wasn't being angry with anyone, just, I feel that the SPFL Board seem to do what they want irrespective of the end result.
Take care my friend, and stay safe, we all have bigger fish to fry at this time, this is a good wee distraction from all things the virus at this time.

16 May 2020 19:22:31
Irvger I share your frustration with the governances of Scottish football. You are right this is sometimes just the distraction we need if we have sensible conversation and discussion. You stay safe and hopefully we can all resume our rivalries in the near future. Too much at stake just now with this virus to let bitterness take over.

16 May 2020 23:28:40
Yea I agree . spfl board have probably thru the carrot of reconstruction into the ball park so hearts will no way oppose the forthcoming decision with court action and an interdict .
This will be another smokescreen, and once the decision is called they will ( hearts ) have egg on their face again .
s
Surprised Ann B has fell for it again.

17 May 2020 05:31:41
We have lost the chance to win the title. Is it really that unbelievable that we could win our game in hand and beat them twice reducing the deficit to 4 points with another 6 games left? How many times did we put them in a sling this season? Just saying. If we can have a collapse surely they can as well. It's not as if they are Barcelona is it?

16 May 2020 15:10:02
I am sick at that mob getting the title. I am sick of the SFA and there corrupt board members. They hate our club, but take the money our club and fans bring into the game. a read that they have signed a massive deal with sky to show games. I call that all Rangers fan cancel there subscriptions and starve them of the money. They won't admit it, but they need Rangers as part of that deal. Think of the money they make from Rangers fans every year. Games are shown every week on Rangers tv, these are meant for fans outside the uk. There are ways round it, and all thr money goes to Rangers. At th4 end of the day sky are only interested in Rangers and Celtic. If we boycott them, it will hurt the SFA eventually. It might be petty, but am fuming about them being awarded the title and they way Rangers are treated in this country.

16 May 2020 15:40:16
Laudrup. I have Sky Sports and tried to cancel my subscription. Surprise, surprise, it is easy to add a package to your Sky subscription online but to cancel you have to phone a number you never get an answer from. Anyway, I'll persevere and will cancel.

16 May 2020 15:58:41
DOIGER, a know mate, its a joke. Thanks for your support. Its the only way i can think of to fight back, and also boycotting away games. As fans, its all we can do. We will always support our team, but the rest can go to Hell. I am from North Glasgow and remember when Partick Thistle had the save the jags campaign on the go. Rangers supported them through this and helped them out, as did a lot of other scottish clubs. When we were going through our troubles, Thistle were at the front of the queue to stick the knife in. A think Kilmarnock were the only club to back us. If we all stick together and support only our club, we can hit them where it hurts.

16 May 2020 16:11:14
Hi Doiger,

Try telling them you want to cancel your sky giving them the one months notice and that you will cancel your direct debit after that period.

They will bend over backwards to try and keep you .

16 May 2020 16:21:05
Laudrup No1 Whilst I agree that boycotting away games will financially impact other teams this is ground you covered back in 2012 and it never happened. With the cancelling of your Sky subscription they make so much money from fans in England it really won't make any difference to their business model if every Rangers fan cancelled. I know you believe that you are this massive institution, and that may have been the case in the past, but not anymore. Sky will survive just fine without your £50/ 60 monthly subscription.

16 May 2020 18:29:42
I don't think rangers fans should cancel sky subscription but if and it's a big if all rangers fans did cancel, sky would notice it. Compared to the English TV deals, the Scottish one is small but sky would still want a return on they're investment.
Our beef is with how the SPFL is run and the seemingly dodgy behaviour of certain individuals.

16 May 2020 20:02:35
A hear what u guys are saying. I have no issue with sky, but they would ask questions, if suddenly they lost half there scottish subscribers. It would make thrm ask questions to the sfa. At the end of the day, they are on interested in scottish football, because of the old firm. The sfa and spfl would rubbish it, if sky started asking questions. As fans, there is very little we can do. This is just an idea along with the boycotting.

16 May 2020 22:47:10
The whole of Scottish football are out to stick a knife in us anyway they can. time after time . so a team that plays more games and is catchable on paper is handed a title by a association out to bend over and take it whatever way the mhanky mob direct them to take it.

ask all the clubs that voted no when it wasn't going to cost them a penny why when the only two outcomes would have either cleared the spfl and Doncaster of no wrongdoing or brought to light the sham that they are and the truth about what went on in these conversations and carrots offered . they obviously have something to shy away from. sporting integrity is non existent . disgusted with them all!

16 May 2020 13:59:06
2 guys up at court 1 for stealing fireworks and 1 for stealing car batteries verdicts > 1 got charged and the other got let off.

16 May 2020 13:37:24
When I was 12 I ran away with the circus my mum told me too take it back.

16 May 2020 19:18:31
Did you hear about the homosexual highlander? He preferred Pete to Heather.

16 May 2020 13:28:36
Looks to me Seeker is spot spot on with his analysis of the current situation on his latest post.

In view of this I feel due to the unsurmountable corruption in the SPFL board we have no option but to let the matter rest rather than our club spend millions pursuing a court case we could never win in a million years.

Apart from the effects of this horrible virus we only have ourselves to blame for the present situation and its outcome.

The past two seasons were due to the latter poor performances and results of our squad after the breaks.

I would suggest we hold an investigation into why for the past two seasons we were doing brilliantly untill after the winter breaks.

Hopefully such an investigation would result in a cure then we would be able to reek revenge on the clubs who chose to cowtow to the SPFL board and spitefully refused to back the Rangers call for an investigation.

16 May 2020 13:04:57
Football back on TV today, any regular punters got any tips for a wee bet later?

16 May 2020 14:53:34
Ridiculous, everyone doing the 2 metre social distancing thing even at the coin toss - whistle goes and they are all tearing into one another, all bolilox!

{Ed001's Note - have you seen the benches? The subs all sat 2ms apart. It is ludicrous. Either it is safe to play behind closed doors and just get on with it or don't, but this half-arsed thing is just silly. You can't possibly social distance and play football together.}

16 May 2020 12:49:47
My mate just got sacked from his job at the circus. He is suing them for funfair dismissal.

16 May 2020 11:35:06
How come the Dutch league has been called null and void with no titles, promotion or relegation with Champions League and Europa League places based on current positions? Ajax were miles ahead but their manager has said that although it is a pity he fully understands the decision and has sympathy with the authorities stating there are more important issues than football at the moment.

Meanwhile, here we have a divisive and corrupt organisation run by one club who's board, manager, players and captain pull all strings possible, including bullying, coercion, and even threatening clubs with no fee payments if they don't vote a certain way, and then when they do vote the 'wrong way' their vote is inexplicably lost only to reappear, among promises of league reconstruction and glamour friendlies, as the opposite.

Then, when my club, along with others, call for an egm to put forward a proposal to carry out an independent investigation into the corrupt organisation, we are castigated, ritised and ridiculed from every quarter, even though we have publicly stated that we will pay for it.

Then, a third of clubs, ones who were obviously concerned at the goings on within this organisation and were not afraid to speak up (like the rest) voice their concerns and nothing can be done about it. How wrong must that sound to people looking in from other countries? Doncaster, McLennan and McKenzie don't even need to try and hide their affiliation to one club anymore.

It is so blatant it would actually be laughable if it weren't so criminal. I really hope we are fully committed to a legal challenge with this. Otherwise we would be better getting used to just assuming the position as this will only be the beginning. The only funny thing about this is the proposed *8.75 in a row. Forever to be referred to as this.

16 May 2020 12:03:46
Biggest joke Clyde saying needs an investigation then abstain from vote either a friendly Against or loanees from Mhanks.

16 May 2020 12:41:54
Very true Seeker these corrupt bas###ds need taking down big time 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺😎⚽️👍.

16 May 2020 13:44:35
Ok Seeker we’re all annoyed by the whole situation but if you’re going to go on a rant at least try and get the facts straight. Ajax were not miles ahead, in fact they and AZ Alkmar were both on 56 points and only separated by goal difference and the team in third were only 6 points behind so the situation in Holland was quite different.
Yes we all wish things were different but realistically would we be actually be happy with needing a global virus and the league being cancelled to stop them winning? I for one would rather beat them on the pitch and stop them that way. And before any of this started we were all raging about how we’d gone and thrown the league away since Christmas.
Yes the spfl is shockingly run and yes the people running it clearly favour them, unfortunately we are currently in the opposite situation to what it was like in the 90’s when David Murray was the big shot and had the major influence. Now it’s them and Lawwell that are able to call the shots. It’ll be a long road to change that but the best way for it to happen is to start winning again on the pitch and become the dominant force once again.
We used to laugh at them for all their wailing moaning and nashing of teeth and called them stupid and paranoid for it. Well now unfortunately It’s us that are acting that way.

16 May 2020 16:32:22
Gers 1978 this is one of the best posts I have seen on this forum and is the perfect antithesis to some of the paranoia on here. The SPFL are poorly ran and their is incompetence within those employed however it was club chairmen arguing with each other in the lower leagues not the Premiership that caused the issues. Can we stop saying this is Celtic controlling things. As you guys saw in the 90's when you are winning everything there is no need to cheat or force any issues and you are in the ascendance and did the talking on the pitch. Now Celtic and are in that position and don't need any help off the pitch as they win everything on it.

16 May 2020 19:17:35
Paranoia my azz, blatant cheating, with refs on the park and people in positions of rule off it, I’m not forgetting all that referee decisions in a hurry, WORSE CORRUPTION I've EVER WITNESSED IN MY LIFE, and people called me paranoid when I said I wouldn’t be surprised if Marseille bribed CSKA Moscow in 1992-93.

16 May 2020 19:41:33
Seeker, nail on the head, if my ipad didn't keep uploading i would have put up a post identical to your op, mate, let's face it when we were coming back, up the leagues all of the premier teams would except the fight for second place, without opening there mouths about the corruption, for fear of getting the same treatment as.

We got, back to bottom league, fought our way back up, because i'd imagine lawell, mcllenen, and co will know they disagreed with celtic, pal.

16 May 2020 22:43:14
I must have read the Dutch information wrongly gers1978 as I thought Ajax were well in front. As for the SPFL and celtic, the situation is far from what it was during the Murray years imo. It is so blatant and I can never remember such skullduggery as getting votes changed and bullying and coercion. It is now so out there that I fear it will hardly matter what we do on the pitch, everything is loaded in their favour.

Even the so called impartial compliance officers have had Rangers players suspended at the top of a hat while their players get off with doing the very same things. When one of them does get 'done' it turns out he's out injured anyway so why bother, unless it's to appear impartial. This is corruption of the highest order and it is time there was a clearout. Pass the laxatives.

17 May 2020 05:32:33
Aye we were certainly controlling things in 2008 when the governing body bent over backwards to help us during that momentous cup run to the UEFA final. 4 games in 8 days. Well done! And compounded by an ex SPL board member years later telling the press he had been approached by another club's chairman imploring him not to help us in any way. Wonder who that was?

16 May 2020 09:35:54
Guy goes to the doctors and sayshave you got anything for wind the doc says ofcourse I have and gave him a kite.

16 May 2020 11:39:52
A guy goes to the docs and says I think I'm invisible, doc says who said that.

16 May 2020 08:24:59
Man goes to see his psychiatrist who asks what is the problem?

Man says, I don't why but I keep thinking I@m a dog.

Psychiatrist says, OK jump up on the couch.

Man says, I'm not allowed on the couch.

16 May 2020 02:44:45
A new zoo opened up in my town so I went to see what all the fuss was about. Waste of time it only had 1 dog as the attraction. It was a shitzu.

16 May 2020 00:07:06
Rangers fan and celtic fan live next door and are always trying to outdo each other.

The celtic fan says to the Rangers fan I've got you know, he says when you die and are buried they'll put green grass over your coffin and not being undone the Rangers says no chance when I die I'll be cremated and go up in a wee BLUE light.
