Anyone see or hear Ann budge interview. I see she has said they shall take legal action if hearts a relegated. But more importantly she says hearts not playing football they shall lose 1 million pound income in April. This is a very scary time for football as well as peoples health. I can see lot of clubs going under here.

17 Mar 2020 08:43:41
Fauldhousebear, said the same thing last night mate, its going to cause a lot of problems, not just in football either.

17 Mar 2020 10:10:46
she can't take legal action according to article 59 in fifa rules which states you can't take football bodies to court, you can only go the court of arbritation, if you ask my honest opinion its all a big carve up which only suits the spfl and you know who, they make the rules up as they go along.

17 Mar 2020 13:32:53
Trueblue, mr lawwell makes every decision for the s.f.a.

17 Mar 2020 14:50:54
paulellen exactly as re my post above.

16 Mar 2020 20:34:43
We're all bears together on here and we all love our football, but it has to most definitely be put on the back burner when human life is at stake with this worldwide pandemic of coronavirus! I hope and pray that all our loved ones and family circles are able to all come through this unscathed. I wish everyone in general, the Ed's and all their families all the very best of health in these such worrying times for all of us. Look after one another and take care guys! God bless!

16 Mar 2020 22:31:06
SGL, well said mate, as a 73 year old this month, and my Wife 75 this year, it's a very worrying time, let's hope we all come through this hellish virus unscathed, all the best to everyone who posts on this site, you too ED's.

{Ed001's Note - take care of yourself and your missus mate. I hope you are both fine.}

17 Mar 2020 03:40:25
Well said boys. It puts things into perspective. I pray we all come through this and out the other side safe and sound. It will pass. Some brilliant and totally dedicated people are working tirelessly on a vaccine for this terrible disease. Stay safe everybody and heed the experts' guidelines.

17 Mar 2020 07:17:35
Take care of yourselves, we shall rise again.

17 Mar 2020 07:58:09
Love Life and Love Glasgow Rangers!
Take care guys✌️🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧.

17 Mar 2020 08:42:53
Well said, take care.

16 Mar 2020 18:34:34
Did any of you see the statement from Rangers? It strengthens what I said earlier about the league ending and standings final. Next day or two they will declare the league over and Celtic champions. If anyone thought there would have been any other outcome then you are tuned!

16 Mar 2020 18:52:56
Im not convinced of that, budge says she will sue if hearts go down and there is only 1 club in each league that wants this scenario. All other clubs will want it voided.

16 Mar 2020 18:55:45
CoI, it does not really matter. If decision taken by SFA to award Celtic the championship without having played all games then so be it. The 5 asterisks will become 6 with a footnote in the history book. At this time public health and not sport comes first.

17 Mar 2020 08:00:08
Not true C, Liewell is a stickler for sporting integrity 🤣🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧😭.

16 Mar 2020 18:06:16
Lets just say the league is declared null and void if and when we start the new season do Celtic start at 1 in a row or continue from where they left off at 8. Please don't start with getting your knickers in a twist about how football is not important and we have serous issues going on - life goes on and the banter ramps up, we joke, we laugh and we take the P*ss as normal that how we get through this. If you don't want to partake in a bit of light hearted fun, fair enough, try not to visit a banter page.

16 Mar 2020 18:39:23
They will start at 0 like the rest of the teams. Sporting integrity and all that.

16 Mar 2020 18:43:51
We tell them they start again from zero. They say we started in 2012. They start again now as no one won this season.

16 Mar 2020 18:56:56
Celtic would say 8 rangers would say 0.Who knows what would happen.

16 Mar 2020 20:18:28
I’d be happy to let them go from 8, thanking my lucky stars they didn’t get 9!

16 Mar 2020 15:04:37
Interesting to see rangers have appointed new head of communications and Media strategy.
Wonder what Mr Traynors role will be.

16 Mar 2020 15:13:08
John25, noticed that earlier, don’t believe said he would be reporting to JT.

16 Mar 2020 15:45:58
Retiring in May according to DR.

16 Mar 2020 16:54:14
Never heard that cuillin.

16 Mar 2020 17:56:08
They announced last year that he was leaving, I only found out last week he was still here.

16 Mar 2020 20:27:00
I was unaware he was leaving. To be honest I always find JT a little too much about himself and a divisive character.

16 Mar 2020 21:47:33
I have no time for jt.

17 Mar 2020 08:44:15
John25, his name only pops up to tell us he is doing nothing anyway.

16 Mar 2020 13:54:37
Just for the sake of the conversation I wonder what would have to have happened if we were still about neck and neck with them with them say still the 2 points in front but with us a game in hand so they'd still be top of the league and would probably still be saying the title should be theirs as they were top when the league ended or should me then be awarded a default 3 points for the game in hand and we would then get the title either that or they get deducted 3 points for one of the games they won to bring them level on games played with us but still then we would have to get the title as we'd still end up 1 point in front how would they feel then I wonder!

16 Mar 2020 14:14:52
what will they do with la liga. 2pts in it with 11 games to go

you can’t call that surely so principal must be to void.

16 Mar 2020 14:47:30
It would make no difference, contrary to what the great Bill Shankly said, football is much less important than life or death.

16 Mar 2020 15:22:24
What about ante post bets,

16 Mar 2020 15:23:21
Just seen spfl to lobby uefa to get Separate Entity FC into the champions League group stages and Rangers into Europa League group stages, what ever happened to sporting integrity or is that a myth.

16 Mar 2020 15:26:18
If the Tim's are all about Sporting Integrity, then we should take the league back to where the standings were when everybody had played each other home and away once.
That leaves us 1 point behind and still to play St Johnstone.
Over to you Tims?

16 Mar 2020 17:02:35
agent ghost, i am a rangers supporter but that's the most ludicrous post i have seen.

16 Mar 2020 17:17:35
Jeez O Agent ghost, calm doon! Let's hope we can play the remaining games and see what happens! I certainly don't want a null and void outcome, it seems everyone else does. why?

16 Mar 2020 18:13:13
Bonnie bear. It won't matter if the games are played or not as we won't be catching them. Not a person on here worried about income as this shall surely set every club back. I can see supporters from every club asking for refunds if games are not played out.

16 Mar 2020 10:17:53
If it's true that Klop advised Gerrard to start his manager career at the bottom, it just goes to show the EPL teams realy believe the SPFL are a a diddy league .

16 Mar 2020 11:09:23
I think he meant by the youth work he did.

16 Mar 2020 12:46:07
i THINK HE WAS REFERRING TO HIS TIME AT lIVERPOOL academy. not here. just the Rhebel press stirring rubbish as per usual.

16 Mar 2020 13:20:56
Yea and bluebilly.

16 Mar 2020 09:48:38
There are rumblings that the SPFL are about to declare the league over and positions now are final. If this is to be the case I hope someone at Rangers grows a pair and demands our historic titles be acknowledged. This is going to go crazy!

16 Mar 2020 10:28:21
Not sure that could do that off own back surely it must be a blanket choice of all associations? can you imagine the chaos if you had 10/ 12 different out comes in different leagues all over Europe.

16 Mar 2020 10:44:14
If Peter Lawwell had his way I am sure the SPFL would but as Blue Blue Sea rightly states, they can't make a unilateral decision on this. It must come from UEFA. According to UEFA's website, meetings will take place via videoconferencing between UEFA and all of the football associations tomorrow to discuss issues to do with the coronavirus epidemic.

16 Mar 2020 12:20:21
problem is Liewell is part of Uefa and will be lobbying like mad for separate entity fc to be crowned champs asap

watch this space.

16 Mar 2020 12:34:14
UEFA will decide, with the big 5 leagues in Europe having a say. Diddy leagues / associations like ours ( SFA, SPFL ) will just have to go along with any decision made.
Money talks. Do you think Villa will just accept relegation? Or that West Brom and Leeds will decline promotion if the season is null and void?

16 Mar 2020 15:21:27
I take it they want the Scottish cup as well.

16 Mar 2020 18:30:32
We just want the league since we weren't going to lose it. Because on current form no o e else was catching. No disrespect. But no way we were dropping 13 points and everyone surely knows that? I'd prefer to finish the season so there can be no moaning and impossible what ifs.

17 Mar 2020 08:45:12
Myles, funnier things have happened.

17 Mar 2020 08:47:02
But you've got to win it first.

16 Mar 2020 02:42:49
Here's a suggest that would suit all probably not some bears.

Suspension of all tournaments for six months.

Complete all 2019/ 20 tournaments as they currently are, including European.

Host the euro championships in Dec.

For season 2020/ 21, have leagues play half fixtures for the season, for instance Scotland premier league 22 games, epl 18 games. No play off or spilts.

All cup games be one leg knockout, no seeding including European tournaments. Simple draw home team first name drawn.

Scrap nations league, scrap International friendlies and preseason events.
Season 2021/ 22 back to normal.

16 Mar 2020 07:55:28
Far too complicated mate. Easiest thing is to declare the season null and void right now. Fair for most, perhaps a bit less so for the minority. This is a national and global health emergency and at the end of the day, people's lives are far more important than 11 people kicking a ball about a football pitch.

15 Mar 2020 22:22:05
Trying to get my head round all this football guff are they just trying to sell newspapers football will get back to normal shortly? but what about the government's advise for the over 70's that they must self isolate for 4 months?

16 Mar 2020 10:17:24
Sturgeon isn't keen to do this up here, so we may go a different route.
