Montrose 0-6 Peterhead Annan 0-1 Clyde. This is the opposition we're playing against. Montrose a team we've struggled with home and away this season, hit for six, Annan a team that won at Ibrox last week loosing against bottom of the league Clyde. Yet we are reduced to scraping 1-0 results and playing 4-5-1? With 6 defensive players (back 4 and black and Faure who are shocking) a win yes but the way we went about it was abject and dire again! c'mon Ally!? Gowdy54

Believable44 Unbelievable8

FFS if that is the way you judge football and performances you need to get a grip!
Everton today beat Man City but a few weeks ago were beat by villa. OK not a good enough example for the dark side followers how about Southampton beating Liverpool!
We are not an Sphell side at the moment-we would have to get a lot worse lol- however in reality we need to be better than we are. ok a lot better however the goal this season was??? yep win the third division! Our next Goal well that is up to Lawell and co! Who knows what embargo they may set next perhaps a goal will not be counted unless scored by say the goalie- sounds like sporting Integrity to me!! East Bear

Agree16 Disagree16

@1 listen if you are honest you should not even be in div 3 as other teams filled the criteria more than yous, so stew in your own mess, rangers and nobody else created this, so stop blaming everyone else and by the way if rangers are fast tracked into top league at reconstruction I for one will not be back at another football game again and for blaming peter lawell for everyhing, I think you will find that you were one of the clubs who voted him into the position at the sfa head quarters as he was very good and still is at his job

Agree14 Disagree16

How many millions are going to have to be spent on this rangers team just to get it up to spl standard. I'm afraid it's going to be many many years befor rangers are up competing with celtic.

Agree10 Disagree2

@1 "we are not an SPL side" why buy SPL players and have the second biggest wage bill in Scotland just to produce terrible performances and win a league against part time teams?

Agree9 Disagree1

17 Mar 2013 16:14:05
@2 no you listen pal, we were punished beyond belief, why should we not be in div3? Who should be there before rangers, ' are u silly enuf to wish spartans should be there, no offence to that great club but scottish football doesn't need to gain 500 fans and lose 50. 000 every week, r u mad?
!or do u just hate RANGERS
Tommyblue

Agree4 Disagree7

Good post number 1 lawwell and his cronies are vicious back stabbers having meetings behind peoples backs

Agree3 Disagree4

Tommyblue 50,000 fans EVERY week wtf are you on, you can't get that every second week. Take your blue tinted glasses off Tommy.

Dear Tam, as you will be well aware,, I was talking hypothetically, if that's beyond you I apologise, ' my point was simple, gain a junior club, and lose a major institution, I'm sure u would rather have the former,, but you really shouldn't, the game will die without rangers, or celtic, most folk realise that pal, my blue tinted specs will remain, isn't that what following a football club for 40 yrs is about?

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Mar 2013 17:44:36
Another weekend. Yes, another 3 pts-----thanks to a penalty, but is this what we want?Feel there's no point complaining each week as no one listening. Once the magic number is reached and the league is won, let's not get carried away as we so often do. We are not playing good football and have been very lucky for the most part, to get the wins we did. I fear for this team and the club.

Looks like the SPL is not boring after all. What an entertaining game at Parkhead today. Ally wake up.

Believable37 Unbelievable28

Aye they sure showed us how to win by a 1 goal margin.

Agree24 Disagree15

Lol @1 without a penalty.

Good news 4-3 not on sky. doh!

Agree11 Disagree5

@1) He said it wasn't boring, he didn't say anything about margin of victory, nor did he say it took a penalty to beat Elgin but I will.

Gaz

Agree34 Disagree8

@1 winning by penalty won't bring in sponsors and advertisiers if boring penalty.

no future in this style.

meanwhile 7 goal thriller in east end. face facts.

Agree30 Disagree15

A game only becomes "a 7 goal thriller" when your defence leaks silly goals.

Allys delighted with todays performance what a joke. If he thinks that was a decent win then nothing will improve he must go

Believable37 Unbelievable15

Gretna romped 3-1 on average, so this should have been 4-0 easily.

Agree17 Disagree3

Gretna's performances in the lower divisions was far more impressive than Newco's has been! They steamrolled pretty much everybody! Newco have been struggling to cope with the part timers!

Agree9 Disagree5

16 Mar 2013 16:05:57
I believe that the proposed league construction is a nonsense, however maybe we should hope it goes through since this current lot WOULD NOT win a league above, it is getting worse instead of better as is Ally's tactics.

Believable29 Unbelievable8

Absolutely woeful. i'm done with paying good money for this rubbish. jl

Agree23 Disagree7

Put away the petted lip, support the team, yes it is pretty poor stuff to watch, nobody said our journey would be easy, but that's where we are, remember, last year, we could have had no Rangers, so think on, a bit of patience is needed. win Div 3, Then see. May be Ally decides to go, we start next season with a new manager, and new ideas. Rangers Always.

Agree14 Disagree19

@2: if nobody said the journey would be easy, why did so many Rangers fans put money on winning every match, or going through the season unbeaten, or scoring x number of goals in total, or reaching cup finals, or winning cups.

Agree13 Disagree10

@2 "nobody said our journey would be easy "? If I remember correctly, plenty said you would win every game easily! Not only that, you could win 3cups! What happened to The Quad?

Agree9 Disagree7

Personally, I don't know a single fan who put money on rangers to steam roll the thir division. Totally disrespectful to fellow third division team. Leave the lack of respect to the darkside who constantly remind us that no one cares about third division football.

Agree8 Disagree4

17 Mar 2013 10:26:49
@2. how on gods earth do you know how many fans bet on anything, R U mad, or just so obsessed with Rangers you will post nonsense,? just tell us how you know, and I quote " why did so many Rangers fans bet on winning every game ", you have absolutely no idea, how many, your gibbering, I could say the same thng about sellik fans cudnt i, but I won't because I've no idea, but then i'm intelligent enought to know I have no idea!,

Agree1 Disagree3

17 Mar 2013 10:31:28
One other thing @2, and 3, Why would anyone make such a stupid bet, you could have the best team in the world winning 7 nil every week ad winning their title by 40 points, then discover the manager has allowed all his kids to play the last say, 8 games,, your moneys gone,,, ad don't be fooled, (altho it seems that won't be difficult) by reading so many posts saying they will bet on such an outcome, that bet is only for mugs!
Tommyblue

Agree1 Disagree2

Post 2} you seem relatively happy, then you say new manager, new ideas?

Agree1 Disagree0

Garbage 5) I've seen endless boasts of winning games by 6 or 7, winning every game all season, unbeaten all season, beat the club's consecutive league wins record. All of which failed to materialise. Reality is that Gretna got 98 points in this division scoring 130 goals with a net goal difference of 101 with a fraction of Rangers investment.

Gaz

Agree1 Disagree0

Ithink the young guys have had a chance and they haven't taken it,

@9 Gretna is a great comparison with what happens when clubs go bust and are liquidated.

Forget the technical debate around tactics, player quality etc etc. Why are we no fitter than part time players with poor training facilities and full time jobs?
Bang on the 79th min young Mackay, fresh on the park, could not lose the Elgin left back in a straight 30 yard race.

Why. ?

Believable24 Unbelievable8

Skytv shows elgin-rangers live dross, one penalty kick, one send off.

yet on tv radio we have top spl action. with 5 goals.

rangers dire fitba pulling down future revenue potential.

Agree18 Disagree16

The Elgin player was faster? can't believe I've answered that lol. CheltBlue

Agree12 Disagree1

Who are the part-timers. those who only train in the morning at a £14million pound training facility.

how can a club bust last year, own a £14 million pound training facility?

Agree16 Disagree5

Ehhh, because he is maybe not so quick.

Agree9 Disagree2

Pulling future revenue down. Sky/espn don't show celtic home games.

And the contract was agreed at the beginning of the season.

Sky/espn care more about tv viewing numbers so they can maximize viewing figures to charge more for advertising. Sky don't care about ict/ross county.

Agree11 Disagree2

We currently lack quality to dominate games especially in midfield.
McCulloch gave the defense a bit more stability today. ANOTHER 3 POINTS is the only plus factor from todays match.

Look Ally if you have any feeling for our great club you would do the honourable thing and just go the majority of fans can't take this negative style of s--t tactics you play I hope to read in Mondays papers that you have resigned because I won't be back at Ibrox while you are still in charge.

A GER4LIFE

Believable36 Unbelievable17

Absolute disgrace -- Ally your negative tactics are a joke, you have no shame or you would go for the sake of our club -- you will never be a manager so go back to your tv job while you can -- I won't be back until YOUR OUT OF IBROX!

Agree22 Disagree11

How long is charles green going to put up with this garbage -- mccoist and HIS Signings! are killing our club

Agree20 Disagree12

Here we go again, the sack ally brigade are out again. even when Rangers win! Ally's Gers will win all leagues put in front of us on the way to the top. Get real and leave the man alone.

Agree10 Disagree32

I have watched Rangers for 45yrs & the last two games have got to be the worst yet, as much as Ally loves our club& steered us past the blackest year of our History, it's time for a Total change, Evey game is so predictable, he simply hasn't got it. Come on Ally time to go!

Agree25 Disagree8

How can a brand new, third division club, spending 1000 x more than their opponents be considered a "great" club?

Fool!

Agree23 Disagree23

@1 please don't return to ibrox. I, like most people on here, waNt mccoist to leave. However, people who abandon our club shouldn't be welcomed back. Protest outside ibrox before and after the game but not during.

Agree5 Disagree15

(No5) when I refer to our club as being great It's all about our history it's being ruined by this man we maybe in the third division but we should be beating these teams it's not all about financial matter it's his tactics or are you to blind to see it or are you a Fool.

A GER4LIFE

Agree12 Disagree4

Well I've watched gers now for 57 years and seen some bad performances but this year and last are the worst, I've not been going to the games last 2 months due to other commitments but seen every game on my tv or computer, today it was constant high crosses punted into the box and 1 good sandaza header to show for it, I've paid my season book for this year and will do the same for next year but won't be in any hurry to go and sit in brass monkey weather and watch the dross that's been dished up till ally does what is right that is step down and let someone with the technical knowledge lead the club forward doug t. s. o

1-0 victory with a stone wall penalty, with 10 men, against a team who didn't have a shot on goal. can't wait for this season to end, hopefully division 2 we improve.

Believable16 Unbelievable5

You Rangers fans have some great times ahead lmfao. See you in the First Division.

Agree11 Disagree5

It will improve as soon as the embargo is lifted, mcCoist has had to work with the players that never disserted the club, when the embargo is lifted and he gets better players in things will be different.

Agree0 Disagree6

16 Mar 2013 14:34:40
The lack of discipline from the players sums up the whole sorry shambles.

Believable16 Unbelievable6

Player you mean - Ian Black.

Agree12 Disagree6

I also mean the keeper Alexander collecting a booking for time wasting at the end of the match.

Which also led to Elgin having another 2 or 3 minutes to apply pressure on the Rangers goal

Come on Ally - let me show you the exit. You obviously don't know ANY direction.

ONE UP FRONT AT ELGIN.

Now you really ARE having a laugh.

Wee Bill

Believable29 Unbelievable12

One up front at Elgin. Ally must have lost his Elgin Marbles.

Agree19 Disagree8

Obviously a fruitful weeks training. We're really launching it up the park with conviction!
Tactical genius.

Agree19 Disagree4

A midfield player at centre back, a centre back in midfield and at right back. Our top goal scorer out on the wing and Black and Sandaza in the passenger seats. Or am I watching a different game from Ally?

Agree21 Disagree2

McCulloch was there to organise the defence which we all know has been a shambles all season

Agree9 Disagree2

16 Mar 2013 13:35:41
Good stuff Ally and the boys. Super-Ally has the defence playing well today at Elgin and we are safely in at half-time without conceding.

Believable12 Unbelievable6

Faure looks as if he is no stranger to the patisserie!

Agree9 Disagree1

Op your joking RIGHT?

Agree3 Disagree1

OP here. No. 2) I think that was typed with tongue in cheek. What a shocking display against part-timers, Men doing full time jobs and taking home 200 a week and training on the side. And they are a match for Rangers? And it is every week.

Agree8 Disagree1

16 Mar 2013 13:25:42
I know this isn't a rumour, but here we go again. The league's top scorer playing out on the wing in a 4-5-1 against 3rd division opposition.
This shows me that our manager isn't confident enough in these players to play anything more attacking.
With 2 strikers, the opposition would have to play a more cautious game.
We do have the players for 4-4-2.

Had to laugh at the commentators on Rangerstv. "Rangers are playing with 3 forwards. " Eh?
Aird and Wallace on the left. Little and Hegarty on the right. I don't see where the third side player is.

Sigh.

Believable17 Unbelievable2

16 Mar 2013 13:48:17
looks like you might have to revert back to elgin having to lose a player and you getting a last minute goal against 10 men ( its been a while)

Believable18 Unbelievable2

Watch the dross! Enjoy! WATP.

Agree10 Disagree7

Playing against part timers 6 of whom train in Glasgow.

Full time professionals with coaches and fitness coaches, goal keeping coaches etc etc.

Absolute garbage McCoist you are not a manager, give it up and resign.

Pitiful to watch. How long will the supporters put up with this?

Rangers might manage to hold out for a point?

How can Ally build a team? Wtf there is a transfer ban he had about 4 weeks to build a team all he had was the young guys and few first team players to start with? He has given the young lads a run in the team and being careful not to out burn them, how do you think these young guys at 17-19 feel when most of you guys boo the team and want McCoist out a huge boost to there confidence "not"

Class post!!!

Believable17 Unbelievable35

We are in the bottom tier of Scottish football? We are up against part time players who probably only get paid expenses. I could see your point if we were still in the SPL although our wage bill is still higher than everyone else bar 1. It's alarming that some Rangers fans seem to want to make excuses for the shocking displays in the 3rd division this season and defend McCoist when it's crystal clear he isn't up to the job

Agree23 Disagree5

Can I have a pint of what Ally is drinking, if he can't see the football we play with a team of full timers against part timers is s### then he is either drinking something or smoking something, he is scaring the kids away, I was at the game last week it was a cold day and after 65mins all the kids were leaving with their mums and dads as the football was c##p we need to keep the kids entertained they are our future. So Ally thanks for all your goals helping to keep the club together through the tough past year put please go with your head held high, before you are sacked.

Agree22 Disagree4

Personally I think the job of a coach/manager is to improve the team as the days/weeks/years go on when he is in that position. but sadly have to say I don't think any player has done that under the current coaches at rangers.

Agree13 Disagree0

OP, wow the old transfer ban coming up again? Is that the same transfer ban that was conveniently started after the transfer window shut? And the need to buy players for your club while 100s of creditors sit by and watch after your club ripped them off?!
Maybe your transfer ban should be until all creditors were repaid! How would you like that? Stop wingeing about missing out on 1 transfer window! But I guess it makes for a great excuse for persons like you though doesn't it!
