Coldo, did i read earlier a post from your good self saying that a pal of yours has been told tapia is signing for rangers? 🤔I hope he's right pal! Tapia is the last signing we'd need for our midfield, providing nobody leaves. He'll add that strength and steel in the defensive midfield role and that's coupled with his technical ability. IF we could sign him, it would be a terrific piece of business, especially as a free agent! 👌👍.

I've seen tapia a good few times for feyenoord by watching games from the dutch league. I've actually seen tapia more playing for peru mate, if i'm being honest. Of course also in the 2 games against us this season in the europa league, in which as i knew him, i paid particular attention watching him closely against us and i thought yet again he stood out! I really rate tapia, but like i've stated before, i hope i'm wrong, but i think he'll sign for a spanish club.

I was sure he did Biff316,but i did most definitely see tapia playing against us in the europa league and i liked the look of him. Like i did state in my earlier post, i've actually seen tapia playing a lot more for peru than for feyenoord!

in terms of first 11 picks, i disagree with here we go. defoe another yr older and morelos possible continuing discipline problems so 2 out and out cntr fwd to lead the line is not ebough to win title
yes first 11 needs improved i agree but we can’t be left with no recognised cntr fwds in a have which could very easily happen with defoes age and morelos picking up cards
a strong def mid would be a good addition but i think our defense needs improved - i don’t think our back 4 is good enough

Okay guys (and Coldo) 🤔 here's a wee conundrum for you to consider. Let's suppose the season starts in August and after one game played Dundee United top the league after an easy 5-0 win over Hamilton. Before the second games can be played Jam Tarts get a court interdict preventing further games being played for 2 months. Just before this ends a new strain of the corona virus rears it ugly head, and lockdown is enforced again preventing the season being completed. Now how many of you would be happy to see United awarded the title? (Sorry guys I need to get a life) . 😂.

I have always wanted to see us try 3 at the back. We have 4 very good centre backs and I’d like to see the likes of Edmunson get more minutes. 3 at the back with tav and barasic as wing backs not only allows the wing backs to push further forward to break teams down when they sit back and defend against us, but also gives us more bodies at the back to deal with any potential defensive errors katic/ tav/ goldson can tend to occasionally make. Also having 2 other centre backs beside him may make up for Helanders severe lack of pace.

A lot on here are saying good riddance to Hearts, well I disagree. I don't believe their leadership have covered themselves in glory neither during this farce or in 2012 but that's not the supporters fault so I wish them luck in court and hope justice prevails.
If this season was never to be finished then the only FAIR out come was to cancel the season and play this season with all standings from last season counting ie champions league, europa places etc. but awarding championships and relegating clubs was only ever heading in one direction, court.

Guys think back to 2012, when we were kicked out and put in the 3rd tier because we used an EBT Scheme which was LEGAL during the time we used it, HMRC backdated their decision, I don't remember anybody in Scottish Football feeling sorry for us apart from Kilmarnock at that time.

The SPFL were steamrollered into handing Celtic the title, nothing else mattered, clubs being relegated or not promoted were deemed acceptable collateral damage as long as Celtic getting the title was done very, very quickly. That from a director chum but it was nothing we didn't all know.

The hatred towards our Club should never be forgotten by our Fans, yes, a lot of Hearts Fans did probably disagree with what happened to us, but, their Club didn't. As for Brechin, that's where the crux of this legal battle lies as far as I'm concerned, completely non-sensical.

Patrick and Hearts. Surely the rules of the competition are to play x number of games with the team with most points being declared champions and the one with least being relegated. One cannot then change the rules at short notice because something unexpected cropped up. If it was a tennis match or golf competition and a storm prevented the game being completed it would be abandoned with no winner declared. If the weather cleared up the remaining games would then continue. I cannot see why football is any different, Hearts and Thistle have been cheated and Celtic are not champions. There is no such thing as 3/ 4 champions you either are or you are not. Celtic are not champions and Hearts and Thistle should not be relegated. Wrong decisions have been taken.

We voted to end the season, this constant going over the same ground is getting desperate. They were awarded the title, however you'd have to be deluded if you think we would have caught them. The relegation is more unfair as these teams had a realistic chance of survival whereas we never had a realistic chance of winning the title. 👍.

I does not matter how many points we were behind Celtic it does not even matter if we were so far behind it was mathematically impossible to catch Celtic, the fact remains, the competition was over a set number of games, and if those games could not be played for whatever reason you cannot just award a title to someone when the rules of the competition have been changed after the event. To do so is unfair and unsportsmanlike. Again, would it happen in any other sport? What would happen if the new season started and one month later the virus (or a new virus) raised its ugly head and the season had to end, and let’s say Dundee United had got off to a flyer, would it be correct to award them the title?

Greig, McNeill, Baxter;
Johnstone, Gazza, McCoist, Laudrup, Wilson,
I would suggest the following and I might just be tempted to have Ronnie Simpson in goal, Jardine would have to play so McGrain would have to go and I fully agree with Caldow. I might be tempted to play Murdoch instead of Greig, Butcher or Gough, or Amoruso rather than McNeil and Baxter is a no brainer. Too many quality wingers to make that one an easy decision, Henderson on his day was as good as Johnstone, it might even become a necessity to move players out of position to accommodate the best and for me both Laudrup and Larsson need to be in the team, Gazza is another no brainer and while I was a big fan of Davey Wilson, what about Cooper or indeed Bobby Lennox. Not an easy choice.

There talking about florian kamberie but i would let him go back to hibs or to another team and we concentrate on the likes of Adrian gribic, renato tapia, kiki kouaki Dennis gyamphy from Leicester who has got pace. These players would excite me, plus the German football is back so there's been talk of 5 players that we could be looking at plus a polish goalkeeper too, and all within our price range.

I was actually talking to the guy in the locker room at the start of our shift coop, we were obviously talking about potential signings and I said the same as you about tapia but I said I think he has signed for betis and he shot me down there and then, he wouldn't say how or why he thought that other than that he was convinced that he was signing for us. Time will tell I suppose. 👍.

Have a listen to the latest Heart and Hand Podcast - an interview from yesterday with James Bisgrove. A very exciting insight in to where we're actually going. After the horror show of the last few years, it's impossible to not get genuinely excited about the direction of travel off the park, as well as on it. July will be a big month commercially, hopefully transfer window wise too, and then we can get back to the bit we love. Hearing about Edmiston House, stadium WiFi, Castore, museums and concert venues, upgraded catering and increased capacity due to hospitality box upgrades, and a new integrated website and incoming commercial partners finally shows we have a team getting it right. Can't wait to see the activity this all generates. Good times ahead fellow Bears!

If gerrard play's kent in his natural position you'll see the real kent. Gerrard changed it last season and tried to play two 10's kent and ojo/ aribo. Lost our width🤦♂️🤷♂️👍.

I agree mrgrumpy that kent wasn't as good as he was when he was on loan to us, but i honestly put a lot of that down to gerrard not playing him in his wide left position. I think with hagi now here, gerrard will play kent in his best position, with hagi playing the roaming no.10 role.
I've no doubt kent is a quality player and i've no doubt he'll do the business for us! 👍👌.

If it was the other way around I would expect all our players to say we deserved it. How do we think changing the old form fixture to later in the season would help Celtic?
I get its crap to lose a season in that way but their players and fans are no different to ours. Celtic have deservedly won the league because they have been the best team, no conspiracy. I will support and back my team to the end but the paranoia is embarrassing now.

Charlie as the old saying goes 'self-praise is no praise'. I don't hear praise for Celtic's hollow title from anybody that isn't connected with celtic or someone who doesn't get payed to give their opinion in a newspaper. 👍.

Huey. You need to read the news (pardon the pun) . Paranoia has nothing to do with it. You can't award teams a league title with 9 games still to play and you can't relegate teams either who also have every chance of avoiding going down. You deserve nothing until you have won a competition and no other team can do so. Celtic have won the league since 2012 because we weren't there, simple as. And now at the first opportunity the corrupt Scottish football authorities have awarded them another league title. The entire hierarchy stinks!

I am as disappointed as anyone the way the season ended, but, I firmly believe we blew our league chances by being crap this year, onwards to better things now fellow bears, no time to dwell further on what may or may not have been.

Celtic didn’t win the title they were handed the title? If they were that confident of winning the title they should’ve been putting their weight behind the right to win it with honour, but they didn’t, shows their mentality 🤔 and it will now forever be tainted, should’ve backed finishing the season.

it pains me to say this but Celtic have made Millions from transfers in the last 10 years. We always seem to sell at a loss or even pay players to leave. Frustrating!

Is that not because they have sold their best players to good teams with money and we have sold our worst players to lower league clubs? Also they have signed lots of dross and sold them at a loss but for every 5 bad signings they make 1 good. Kouassi. About 5 strikers bought for over 2mill in last 3 years and sold for peanuts after barely playing.

Good point Huey, if u look at the amount of players they have bought and what they sold them for then celtic don't look so clever at it. Then on the other hand they have done well on the return on players like van dyjk, dembele, Armstrong in the past so I can see where gus57 is coming from.
We need to remember that we have been on a rebuild for the last 8 years, a good few years with schiesters in charge who's only objective was to take from the club.
Finally over the last few years we have made numerous shrewd signing like kamara (£50k), barasic (2m), morelos (1m) that when the time comes for them to move on will give us a impressive profit.
We are 1 million transfer fee and and approx 3-4million quid in wages invested in morelos so far since 2017 so anything over that is pure profit, we should do well👍.

Further to my earlier post I just want to see a profit on player transfers so that we avoid any financial problems. I know we are rebuilding and there are some good young players in the pipeline. Maybe some will get an outing in the first team this coming season.

For that outlay it’s a no brainer! he looked sharp and hungry in the appearances he had IMO. He’d be a great addition to squad and I’m sure he wouldn’t be brought as number 1 if Fredo goes, Defoe is on the downward curve now but think he’d be invaluable to the like of Kamberi as a learning resource.
