Stevie G, said that he did not expect any signings unless something major happens to one of the first team players, still think we need a striker as back up to Morelos and Defoe.

16 Jan 2020 19:44:45
On the very offchance both are unavailable greg stewart can slot in there for a game or 2.

17 Jan 2020 00:51:08
I will be disappointed if we don’t sign anyone. I get that we are trying to trim the squad and keeping hold of our best players is a priority, but with Grezda, King, Murphy, Docherty and a few others all potentially leaving that’s a good chunk off the wage bill. We have Celtic on the run yet despite the biscuit tin jokes they are the ones strengthening. We are only a couple of injuries away from a problem. We will be kicking ourselves if we let this title slip because we didn’t put our hands in our pockets this window. Just one or two quality players could make the difference. Another striker and another left back should be the priority as if Borna or Morelos get injured we are in trouble.

17 Jan 2020 09:53:01
Theswagman, we don't need anybody in this window in my opinion mate, our younger players would be used if need be, for by that its time we started using some of them.

17 Jan 2020 11:02:38
Not convinced they are strengthening. Adding numbers yes, but no guarantee on quality or impact. Let’s focus on us, and one game at a time. We aren’t top yet, so need to stay positive without getting cocky. I am confident in our ability and squad though.

16 Jan 2020 15:06:17
Quick question lads. Can Morelos play tomorrow or doeshis 3 game ban apply to Scottish Cup as well?

16 Jan 2020 15:13:07
moc morelos cannot play tomorrow.

16 Jan 2020 15:14:08
Moc he is suspende, carry over from last years Scottish cup.
Then two gam ban for red against them.
Back 29 for Ross county game.

16 Jan 2020 15:22:00
Yeah, he’s banned.

16 Jan 2020 17:47:43
Cheers lads. i'm pleased its not 3 games in the league he's missing.

17 Jan 2020 09:00:00
MOCBear, I think you've just answered the question regarding signings with your comment as well. Guys, if Alfie has a 3 game ban from the Old Form Game now, and this one tonight is a carry over from last season, does this mean he still has 3 games to miss after tonight.

17 Jan 2020 09:55:12
Irvger, i think the cup ban is carried over from lastt season, then. Alfie misses three premier league games.

17 Jan 2020 11:53:53
O Alf has a total of three game ban one in cup, nothing to do with red against them.
Two game league ban, st mirren the. n hearts next Sunday.

17 Jan 2020 23:26:01
That's good then because he probably wouldn't have played tomorrow anyway.

16 Jan 2020 14:10:45
Would like to see polster or Patterson given a run.

16 Jan 2020 15:15:52
Rossco I would let Polster no where near team, his priorities are a bit mixed up.

16 Jan 2020 16:51:51
John can you elaborate on that?

16 Jan 2020 17:14:55
He decided to take time off for his wedding in Vegas and made himself unavailable for winter camp in Dubai.

16 Jan 2020 18:06:40
I’d take time off my work to get married.

16 Jan 2020 18:13:19
Would love to see Patterson given a start tomoro night as it’s the perfect game for him, however, I can see Flanagan getting the nod.

16 Jan 2020 18:30:04
Especially if you are marrying his bird 😍.

16 Jan 2020 20:34:00
John25, can you shed more light on exactly where the priorities of Polster lie.

16 Jan 2020 21:03:30
My view not with rangers. He had several month to rearrange wedding. The recent Iran issue only became a problem post his wedding.
But end of day SG will decide.
I loved his statement today either you want to play for rangers or you don’t.
Not aimed at any one in particular but well delivered.

17 Jan 2020 09:19:51
Agree John25, find this entire Polster discussion if true rather strange to say the least.

17 Jan 2020 23:27:13
It's not easy to rearrange a wedding. If he'd already had it arranged before he signed then fair enough.

16 Jan 2020 14:07:14
Read the boss' comments on his positive relationship with Ross Wilson. This is fantastic news and it looks like we are finally all pulling in the right direction. It's plain to see the effort and application the players are showing and there's no doubting the pure passion and drive from Stevie and his coaching staff. To hear that the 'suits' are also playing their parts warms the cockles of my heart. Just need to rid ourselves of the spectre of Ashley and we will really move forward. 55 is so close, just drive on and do it for us boys!

16 Jan 2020 16:52:30
Would watch the interview, his face and body language don’t match his words, I’m not sure the gaffer likes him.

16 Jan 2020 17:36:50
Theswagman, totally agree. When the last dog left, Gerrard was quoted as saying we'll manage fine without a dog. That suggests to me Gerrard is not keen.

16 Jan 2020 19:35:58
Swagman and stuck without elaborating you’re both miles off the mark on this one.

16 Jan 2020 20:41:08
I haven't heard anything mentioned anywhere. Let's hope you're wrong guys.

17 Jan 2020 01:11:50
I’ve not heard anything or anything like that, just going purely by the interview and his face and body language. Wilson seems a bit too smug and Austin MacPhee like to me, hope I’m wrong!

18 Jan 2020 00:15:28
Seeker, your on the money mate, good op post,

16 Jan 2020 01:47:20
Papers now saying Tav could be out for up to 3 weeks! Let’s hope he makes a speedier recovery than that, would be a huge loss to the team.

16 Jan 2020 08:03:04
Stay calm, take what the tabloids print with a pinch of salt.

16 Jan 2020 09:44:02
We've got three good back ups for right back.

16 Jan 2020 09:47:01
As much as Tav has had a decent few games in a row this would be a decent test to see how we actually do without him some folk think he's best thing since sliced bread others think we can cope without him no probs due to poor crossing and terrible errors. Flanagan go in to cover or throw young youth lad in who is impressing?

16 Jan 2020 09:56:34
If Tav is out, who do you think SG should play at right back? Flanagan or Polster or someone else?

16 Jan 2020 10:09:17
Ah cmom on. what's being said bout Tav simply tabloid garbage. Once he's got serious injury and another says man flu. Their writing anything to fill column inches.

16 Jan 2020 10:18:42
SG has said Tav had a small procedure and will be out for 3wks.

16 Jan 2020 10:44:46
Doiger - I think we will go with the young boy Patterson against Stranraer and if he shows up well he keeps the jersey. I think he’s the only one of the 3 options with the pace to replicate Tav’s runs down the right.

16 Jan 2020 11:21:45
Interesting theswagman. I haven't seen young Patterson play yet so sounds like a great idea to give him a chance against Stranraer.

16 Jan 2020 11:47:04
Manager says tav had appendix procedure out for three weeks, that’s six games.

16 Jan 2020 12:37:42
Thought Polster was away?

16 Jan 2020 12:57:58
Considering there are many posters on here who think Tav isn’t Captain material, Rangers class, can’t defend, can’t cross the ball or tackle it looks like you have all got your wish for the next 3 weeks as we see how Rangers perform down the right hand side without him. 👍
Let’s hope his absence doesn’t come back and bite us on the ar$e!

16 Jan 2020 13:06:39
John 25 the manager said a couple of weeks. In ny book that's 2 weeks. Probably wouldn't have played fri night anyway.

16 Jan 2020 13:10:33
Theswagman, you beat me to it mate, nathen patterson, ideal replacement. i. m. h. o.

16 Jan 2020 13:17:16
Mr Pacman u r right, however it’s a new right back we need, not ones already at club with possible exceptions of young boy Patterson
Flanagan and Polster are not better than Tav.

16 Jan 2020 13:34:42
Cool Paul, I agree he probably would not play Friday.

Then I it’s Wednesday st mirren
Sunday hearts
Wednesday Ross county
Saturday Aberdeen
Wednesday hibs
Then cup tie.
We r unlikely to be able to play him twice a week at beginning, that’s what’s the squad is for.
I’d go Flanagan but try out Patterson in Stranraer game and cup tie depends on draw .
I’m not sure we would play the boy against Aberdeen or hibs.
Also tav may be a quick healer.

16 Jan 2020 14:03:23
Hopefully john. I am 1 of his biggest critics but going into 2nd half of season we definitely need everybody available. Should pull through stranraer and st mirren without him. Hearts always tough place to go for us as they have shown us already this season. Aberdeen at home then killie away be tough as always. Nice to have a full squad to pick from.

16 Jan 2020 15:28:12
100% agree John, Patterson in the Cup tie and Flanagan in the tough league games. 👍.

16 Jan 2020 20:33:22
Ryan Jack has filled in at right full back before, recall he actually played for national side in that position.

16 Jan 2020 20:40:43
Gerrard won't chop and change from game to game. Probably Flanagan will step in and Patterson will be his backup.

17 Jan 2020 22:32:20
Jack will not play at right back, it would weaken the midfield as well as diluting the effectiveness a proper right back would bring. No chance.

18 Jan 2020 00:18:12
Doiger, i would hpoe young patterson gets the place, as unlike flanigan, petterson covers every blade of grass, up and down like a yoyo.
