So where are the numpties that were arguing with me the other day about the bid for docherty? Telling me we had already bid 600k. When the bid did go in it was only a reported 300k. Iam pretty sure you don't bid 600k on Saturday then bid 300k 2 days later. I don't know where people gst their ideas from but you are turning a rumour page into a farce with your made up nonsense.

Probably no one knows on here, too many people believing the papers. I read the other day that we bought harrera for 1.5 mil? Swear we bought him for 750k at the start. Bottom line is the papers are a joke don't read to far into it

As far as i have heard the docherty bid is a rumour aswell. Havent seen anywhere or anyone official confirming it.

I think only two people had said there had been a bid china, most people including myself said that it was an enquiry that was made. As the poster above said, don't believe everything you read in the papers. Most of the rumours on here are a farse but in fairness it is a rumours site. Anyway you sort of defeat your own argument when you said the bid was a "reported" 300k, you don't even know the facts yet you slate others for not knowing the facts as you suggest by arguing with you originally.

Ohal was 6 month so that was finished. Halliday was brought back because murty wanted him as cover and his loan was not working out, halliday hated it.

Spot on eezyeez, jason cummings was a boyhood hearts fan! His dad was the rangers fan but jason will become a rangers fan now, just like our legendary players from the past, who were boyhood jambos like, john greig,
sandy jardine, alan mclaren etc! Jason cummings has the potential and ability to become a great glasgow rangers striker, for many years to come! He has swagger, character, superb left foot finisher, ability to know where to be at the right time! He'll score a lot of goals for us, i feel, over many years! Go on jason my son, you're a teddy bear now and our fans love a great goalscorer and will take him into their hearts!

Will be very interesting to see the Cummings / Morales strike force, love Murtys philosophy of fast direct football, no wonder some of the dark side are taking more interest in us than their own team, we will be back sooner than they think .

Cummings scored in the championship but was very average in the spl then could not get a game at an average Forrest side but people on hear talking like we have signed some absolute top class player

Glad to read the positive comments about Cummings joining us - last season not many seemed to want him when it was first mentioned - a bit similar to comments made about Windass by some last year as well - both are welcome additions to the gers - the next few months are hopefully going to be fun and its good to know we, like always, will be behind our team 100% -

Cummings average in the spl. Jesus deanobear, he was 17/ 18 yrs old in a terry butcher team that got relegated. Then he was in another useless managers team with rubbish tactics at forrest.

Which Scottish side would want Herrera? The only way you can get rid of Rossiter is to pay him off with money we don’t have and it’s not as easy just to get rid of someone who is on a season long loan. As for possibly catching Celtic there is no chance of that and we are still some way behind them. Admire your optimism though

What does it matter what Kilmarnock paid? If he's under contract they have a right to ask what they want for him, you then have the difficulty of actually meeting that figure, clearly there isn't a million to spare at Ibrox given other failed signings lately.

Am aw fur the changes and really quite please with MA appointments so far and am the first to say they were badly needed. but a canny help but sit here n think 'hawd on a wee minute does this put us on the backfoot because we huv to develop as a full team from scratch for the second half of the season? '
like a say - am well up fur the changes and overall v impressed with our use of the limitated finances we have in this window so dinnae anyone jump down ma neck lol

For me it's definitely a good thing, the amount of players which will be fighting it out for places can only be a good thing, the team performances should increase a lot now and I'm excited to see if the Cummings and morelos partnership brings rewards!

I agree must be good. Actually added quality and depth. Our starting 11 pretty much picked itself this season, windass had a free pass to play garbage first few months of the season same with Miller. Now guys have to be on their game or there is someone right behind them ready to take their place

If its as badly needed as you say mate, which I agree it is then it can only be positive. Did you see the team in america? If you never then the new boys goss murphy looked as though they had been in the team for a while, both added quality to the team. Cummings and morelos will be lethal together. Loovy good point bud! We still have more or less of the backbone of the team and with the signings made they would go straight in to starting 11 as in Martin centre back Murphy wide Cummings alongside morelos already stronger with these 3 in my opinion!

agree coldo and did see them over in the states aye. Looks like we have a few good players planting the right seeds and am delighted mate. just hoping we have enough time to convert it into points and keep the sheep in their pen.
Aye jayjay, hoping we keep the structure and formations the same and slot in the strength and continue to build on that as opposed to blast the new guys right in and expose any weaknesses (by that a mean by lack of time together as a dynamic squad as opposed to skill or passion etc afore anyone shoots me lol)

Is anybody else getting sick and tired of Kris Boyd bumping his gums constantly?
Now, i'm not saying because he's an ex Rangers player (record holder etc), that means he cannot criticise us, far from it.
But what I do have an issue with is Boyd slating the club for the sake of him being able to churn out another article for whatever rag he is writing for, or to put the limelight on him in a similar fashion as Chris Sutton would do.
For example, he's slated Rangers from bidding less that what Kilmarnock value Jordan Jones at. As if that's never happened before? This is standard procedure of transfers, all clubs do it look at Liverpool with Southampton and Virgil Van Dyk? Liverpool continually bid less than what Southampton valued VVD at.

A side note on Jones, if Killie want 1m for Jones then they can keep him, move on. We signed Morelos for 1m, Candieas for 750k, Jones is a good wee player but he's nowhere near the calibre of those two mentioned and that is backed up by performance stats.
He's another MOH waiting to happen.

our club is suley making enquiries about these players first before bidding so why put in bids way below the price you have been queoted it is just going make the teams more determend not to deal with us we should offer a fair price upfront then club would be more open to discussion after all we wouldn't sell one of our better players for 350k if we can not get anyway near the clubs valution move on to the next player

It's just sour grapes from Boyd due to him being dumped after 1 season as he didn't cut it at the club 2nd time around. But have to admit that when it's one of our own criticizing the it cuts a little deeper because there's plenty others from outside the Rangers family criticizing the club all the time and just waiting for the opportunity to put the boot in even some making up stupid rumours about admin just to put the boot in. I'm not saying he shouldn't criticize but just saying at times he seems to have a massive chip on his shoulder with the club poss in relation to how his 2nd spell went but he's long enough in the tooth that he should know how the negotiation process for signing players goes but suppose in a way he's trying to stick up for his current employers bit I still believe deep down somewhere in side him he's still a bear.

I for one am happy with the dealings of the club and the second half of the season is looking much more positive under Murty and the obvious input from DOF.
Unless a player is an extraordinary talent, I for one, wouldn’t give another SPL Club any of our money again.
For too long they have baited and relentlessy kicked us but the tide is now turning and the blue sea of Ibrox will once again wash over them with its tidal waves.
Though the streets be broad or narrow fellow bears, we will follow on.

Anyone else sick of boyds anti rangers chat - didn't hear him moaning about Celtic making derisory offers for Dundee Utd players. Not sure the lad Jones is worth much more than Rangers have offered and to be honest not sure why we need him as left mid look well covered. Last time I checked a club are entitled to make an offer which can either be accepted or declined. He seems to fancy himself and has plenty to say on just about any subject - and it's usually a pile of sh*t.

Boyd's a fan and entitled to his opinion just like every one of us here. I think most of his remarks and comments are pretty astute observations and he's no fool. Our so called negotiations with Hearts on Walker got us nowhere. I don't know what this Killie player is worth but our offer is a clear insult to them. We've had a Docherty bid turned down as well. Go in with a realistic price at least as a starting offer or just do your homework, make your decision and pay. That is of course if we have the money.

Kfraser - totally disagree. We offered 600k for walker - this is a fair offer for a player with less than a year left on his contract and next to no international offers . Hearts were extremely vocal in declining the offer and he ends up leaving for 300k. Rangers obviously decided to move onwards by purchasing Murphy and not be held to ransom. The Docherty deal is being handled correctly, Hamilton chairman clearly stated an Ibrox official called to ask permission and both clubs will then enter into negotiations. The fake news will have you believe otherwise!
