Guys genuine serious question

After today and looking back over the last 2 seasons Under Gerrard

When the pressure heats up like today and let's not be under any illusions there was a bit of pressure today to win that game and put 3 more points on the board and hand some pressure over to Celtic

Like there was after both Xmas breaks past 2 seasons when our team collapses

What is going to be different this year

Why do we think now after seeing this today and knowing past 2 seasons when pressure builds our team tends to implode and a nervousness comes into there game

Why do you think we will be able to turn it around this season

I for one thought this season we would do it

But it was there to see today it's the same old nervousness same style of play with no end product

Why now after today and after 2 seasons and a very good few million pounds and over 30 odd players brought in under Gerrard do you think we will turn it around and win the league

Remember Celtic under pressure last 2 seasons now have shown when it matters at the buisness end they can deliver
We haven't shown it

How can we show it this season

4 games is in

But well over 100 games under Gerrard and no trophy 🏆

Nothing to do with throwing in towels and not being a Rangers fan

Just give me your humble opinion On how it's going to be different?

My opinion humbly is we can't and won't under Gerrard nothings changed today showed
And we needed experience and Gerrard has been a big gamble on manger who really had no experience and it's not working and his signings a lot of them haven't done it

How much money have we made from profit from his transfers?

Yes we done well in Europe but we didn't win it

Bread and butter first surely - win the league take it from your fierce rivals?

Spot on same old same old from the manager. He knows nothing else, can't change and won't change. We won't win any of the silverware or league again. He repeatedly says we learn from this and move on but we obviously don't learn because if we did we wouldn't be seeing the same dross in season three.

spot on Thestigno1. great post. This is essentially the same outfield team which imploded and bottled it last season after the winter break. Its no different other than our new signings warming up the bench. Gerard is clueless in my opinion and these same players lack bottle when the chips are down and and they are under pressure. He has too many favourites who are undroppable. Capt Calamity Tav Goldson Morelos Jack to name a few. Every SPFL manager knows how to set up against us yet we don't seem able to break them down and are too one paced and predictable with no plan B. I think this will be Gerards last season if we don't win the league. Going on todays debacle this is looking more than likely.

Said ages ago sg wasnt the man to deliver us the title, last season I said on here it was crazy to give him a new contract at the time as it would be made sense to see how we finished the season but luckily for him cv bought him more time cause I've no doubt we would've finished a lot further behind celtic.

Actually thought Jack was poor today. Slowed the game down far too much when we needed to speed it up.

All the players taking too many touches on the ball. Really disappointed in the team and the coaching staff.

Disagree Onewalter. Sky had us setup 433 but I think Arfield was swapping from wide right into no.10 role with Hagi, he did drop back a bit deeper at times to try and get the ball so I'd say we went 4321 for the whole match.

Another tricky fixture for us with Kilmarnock surely roofe gets a start and fingers crossed balogun and aribo are back we missed they guys today massively.

Roofe certainly looked more mobile than Morelos but that's not saying much as the more frustrated he gets during a game the more static he becomes.

Poor result today but there were always going to be slip-ups, we'll have them and Celtic will have them too. Insane that some so called fans seem to be throwing in the towel already.

Correct KJA9, it was me a while back that mentioned how ridiculous that comment from Warburton was at that time. We are not as one dimensional as people make out, as KR55 said (I think), SG did change things around yesterday, it was the players who failed to take at least one of at 6 chances yesterday to bury Livingston, the Manager has to rely on the players to adapt to different situations during a game, Walter Smith himself has said before, that once they cross that line, it is up to them to follow the instructions given, that's not happening in some games.

It's only one game. We don't have a divine right to win every game when our best players don't turn up.
We all know Kent has the ability. Today he lacked the consistency and goals of the previous games. For a £7 million player we expect more.
It's the same with Hagi.
And Jack and Kamara weren't dictating the pace as normal - it all felt a bit rushed today.
The one plus was another clean sheet.

Clean sheet is the only bonus today. Cannot think of anyone who had a good game, although Goldson was probably the most consistent. Hellander scares me to death at the back. Gerrard said before the game he expected livvy to be physical, but they never had to be all game, just sat and watched us pass it back and sideways! Its high time we had some physical players especially in midfield, which was sadly lacking today. I do think Gerrard is slow to learn how to play against teams like that, there never seems to be a plan B. For all our possession we never hurt them at all, surely he and Gary Mac must see this?

Thoughts on Hagi folks? I'll admit I was excited when we signed him, but so far I'm sorry to say, he looks a waste of money. He's been ineffective again today, Fourth game in a row he's basically done nothing. It's one thing doing it against Braga but for the money, we should be looking for him to create that wee bit of magic in games like this. I really don't want to see him start v Killie. Think Roofe deserves a start as I thought we looked much better when Roofe came on and he offered more than Hagi has in the last 3 games.

Sirstruth, I respect your opinion but struggle to see what Roofe did? Roofe has had 23 touches as a Rangers player and gave possession away 15 times. I am willing to give Roofe the time he deserves to prove his fitness and worth to this team because he hasn't played a competitive game since December but he wasn't any better than Hagi. They play completely differently as well so its a difficult comparison. Hagi and Aribo were probably 2 of our best players in pre season and as I have said before, Hagi is a player and will prove this. Every player behind the ball is difficult to play against and we do need to find a way. i'm sure we will and i'm sure both Roofe and Hagi will be vital in finding the way to do this.

One paced, no physical presence and not sure what his best position is. Can see why Fiorentina bombed him but can’t see how he was ever good enough to get a move there. Should possibly have been signed again on loan but £3 million! Yes two good goals vs Hibs and braga plus a lucky free kick.

Not just Hagi, only Kent and Barasic were the only two that looked like they wanted to win. We were playing with six defensively minded players against a team that were only interested in a draw and we missed Aribo, principally because Arfield was more like an auxiliary defender. We lacked width and we lacked leadership.

When Roofe came on we were more direct cause he was trying to get into the box with Itten which was causing problems for the Livingston defence. If we'd have done that the whole game, I really think we'd have won that game. Hopefully Gerard sees that is the way to play against teams who sit in and don't try to attack.

Problem is hagi isn't a winger, end of story. You can say Gerrard is trying to operate like liverpool do but that's not what happens. Hagi ends up stuck out on the wing and he ain't effective there. Did Gerrard watch Hibs destroy Livingston last week. If Dykes was playing then there would be a great chance we would of got beat. Tav had no inspiration at all and Gerrard can't alter things. All Jack did for the whole game was play back or sideways passes. Found himself in acres of space on numerous occasions but instead of running with the ball he just kept playing the same passes and slowed the game right down. He and Kamara are way too similar and we lost so much creativity because Aribo wasn’t playing. Hagi kept coming deep to try to get involved but clearly isn’t as good with his back to goal.

I have to say I am hoping that someone will come in and give us £10m for Kamara so we can sign a different style of player that offers something going forward. He and Jack are too similar and both want to slow the game down, do sideway passes or back passes and when he does decide to pass forward it is generally to an opposition player. We sadly missed Aribo, Arfield offered absolutely nothing until he was replaced. Far too defensive against a team set up for a draw and other than Kent, n one that looked like they could cause any damage!

Tough game today against a team that had no intention of coming out to play.

We done it against Barcelona and hit a nil nil so it's hard for even best teams to break down a 10 man defence.

Pitch is awful slowed game down a lot but still poor result given the dominance in possession.

Onwards and upwards Celtic will drop more points as long as it's more than us we are good.

Other than Kent we had no one that looked like opening up their defence. No danger from lovingstone
But real danger from ourselves either

And playing the ball in our own half too much for My liking - need more flair in the midfield

Tavs crossing not been the best either

Young mcglaughlin looks composed in goals good feet work around the 18th minute

Hadgi a bit light weight

Barisic Kent seen plenty of ball along with kamarra and jack but no killer ball as yet
Really lacking imagination in that midfield area once again

If anything Livingston defence been pretty Solid so far and there doing there job well at the minute

Talking to one of my rangers pals there and got me thinking when he said we're due a penalty this season. I gave the quirky response by saying to him we're better off not being awarded one, because we just can't seem to score a penalty just now 🤔
It also got me thinking who steven gerrard should put on penalty duties for us, as i think we've missed 4 out of our last 5 penalty kicks 👎with all different players taking them! Don't know about the rest of you guys but i would make borna barisic our new penalty taker, as he has a very accurate wand of a left peg and strikes the ball superbly well 👌🤔.

Morelos scored our last penalty pre season. In a game that tav and barisic were on the pitch, so suggest Alf had the job.
Also Itten and in particular Roofe hit a good penalty.
At least we have players willing to step up.
