As long as we finish better off than we did last year we must give this manager atleast 2 full seasons to get a team that challanges celtic .
i know we all want that this season but realistically that's not gony happen.

16 Aug 2017 21:23:01
2 seasons? We'll be looking for a new manager by Christmas we needed a proven manager and we ain't got one!
Unfortunately I may add.

17 Aug 2017 00:23:27
Where is that going to get us geomac33!? Whether some of the doom merchants like it or not we are improving pedro has off loaded most of the duds brought it quality where it was required most! So offing our manager every twist and turn is going to do what exactly?

17 Aug 2017 07:54:26
Jzer

What do you base that on that he has improved the team? Under him this season we have had our most embarrassing loss in Europe and have lost 1 and won 1 in the league with a goal difference of 0.

17 Aug 2017 08:56:23
Exactly Brian g we need a proven manager not just someone who Says 'we are the people' and he's came out with some whopping statements
I have no confidence in him the hibs game just proves for me (not forgetting European disaster)

17 Aug 2017 09:12:25
Yes were out of europe big deal it history now can't be changed hibs game now history same applys onwards an upwards to hearts at the weekend

No point dwelling on past results etc as said nothing can be changed about them same goes with performances it the next one that counts not last weeks or last months

17 Aug 2017 09:29:53
Kaymer

Sorry but past results do count and if we have another bad start those results will be used against the manager just as they would for any other manager. TBH it's incredible naive of you to think those results don't matter

17 Aug 2017 09:43:02
Sorry, Kaymer, but spouting mantras like "onwards an upwards" doesn't cut it for me, especially when there appears to be no upwards.
Mantra spouters are oblivious to what's happening around them.

17 Aug 2017 09:46:04
Kaymer we can't just keep saying onwards and upwards after every set back. Yes we have signed a few good players but also a few duds. The manager is clueless and we will be a long way off by xmas. Hate saying it but its fact!

17 Aug 2017 13:02:26
all u guys that want another manager already are an embarrasment to the club the guy is just in the door with a new team and people are complaining about europe are u seriousl? europe would have been a massive bonus but wouldn't sack the manager we can't be like that with managers we are not celtic

16 Aug 2017 13:34:20
Seemingly pedro wants more new players before the end of the month, does anyone actually think we'll get any? It seems a bit weird how he went flat out and brought so many in then went quiet, I think we should have brought all in at the same time, that way they would all gel at the same rate

16 Aug 2017 14:15:37
walker and a fullback a good fullback at that.
does anyone have any ideas as to whom we should go for?

16 Aug 2017 14:48:27
Cheaper options would be henegan of Motherwell whom we supposedly had previous interest in also liked the look of Niall keon of thistle?

16 Aug 2017 15:19:25
He's done the right thing bringing in the guys he wanted early it's gave them time to get playing as a team.

Would like to see him bring a couple extra players in, walker and Naismith would be good signings. Although I seen Naismith was in the first team on sat so Norwich might be reluctant to sell him just now.

16 Aug 2017 16:13:54
always best to get them in early and together but market is dictated by when clubs want to sell too, once they have done their own business etc. would love to see a few new faces come in, signings or high quality loans to supplement the squad. no motherwell or thistle players though, if that's where we are shopping may as well call it a day now!

16 Aug 2017 17:53:31
Remember Pedro saying he wants players signed who have a history of supporting Rangers.

That was after Jack and Dorrans. McClean, Walker and Naismith are the only players who, its been speculated are supporters of the club.

Think he wants Mclean and Walker. Think we'll only get Walker. Don't even think he wants Naismith anywhere near the club.

would love wlaker but we need a qality fullback

16 Aug 2017 08:09:04
i was watching ss the other night and they where looking at jose signing since joining man utd. he has made 11 signing everyone bar one is 6foot 2 plus. i feel this is the route that pedro is trying to attain making us a big physical unit. in the history of rangers most of the unclean teams have had the more attacking and skillful minded players and throughout these times we have simply bullied them off the park because as pedro would put it we had a team of men. most of the goals that we concede are from set plays and this signing tactics will i feel help with use losing silly goals. when every club comes to brox they are up for a fight and a battle as some would put it their cup final. the gers need to get that fear factor back that when teams come 2 us we terrify the life out of them with a team of fighters and winners. thoughts guys.

16 Aug 2017 11:57:20
Agree on all fronts. Though it's worth a mention that when PC talks about 'men' it's not just physicality but also 'mentality'. I'm hoping when this team gels and we get a run together the 'we just win. that's what we do' swagger will create that fear factor you mention. For now the mentality has to be. " right! . let's prove everyone wrong! "

16 Aug 2017 13:21:11
yeah, that's what oniel did when he came into to rebuild celtic and he had success right away. you have to be careful though, they still have to be good ball players.

16 Aug 2017 14:16:31
a good mixture of both is a good idea
