So Kilmarnock want to cut our allocation, that's their choice. We did it with another club to look after our support. The difference being we can fill the seats week in week out, they won't. Now I believe our team should have support home and away but I believe we should hurt these teams financially.

So I would take the 4,000 seats and advise Kilmarnock that we will accept the same allocation of 4,000 for future seasons. 4,000 bears is still a strong support for our team. On another note I would not buy anything from their ground or others for that matter, such as food or beverages, starve them of our cash. Hope they enjoy their 150 year Bash it could be a costly exercise going forward. And still we follow on.

16 Apr 2019 23:25:20
The decision to boycott games or clubs should be reserved for the fans that actually attend those games! Not by anyone else.

Some fans want to go and support their team at every opportunity and that right shouldn't be taken away from them by anyone.

16 Apr 2019 23:25:43
Kilmarnock supported Rangers in the past when all the others put the bootin.

17 Apr 2019 07:04:23
My observation on this move by Kilmarnock is this. Their chairman believes he is taking a stand against us after their manager had a man period over the sectarian chanting back in a January. He will regret it if we do inform them that we will only take 4000 moving forward. What he fails to realise is that while he may be able to sell these seats he’s took back for this game (even so I doubt it) he won’t be able to sell them moving forward and that’s nothing to do with chanting it’s because the football that they serve up is dross and they don’t have a following like ours who will turn up week in week out regardless. It’s our way of life and he is taking us for a mug full in the knowledge that we will snap up the 8000 again should he offer them. I hope the club take a stand on this and apply for reduced allocation for Kilmarnock and Hibs and Aberdeen. Then asses who else has been at it in this regard. Any bears who buy direct from those clubs are then in direct conflict with the clubs wishes. I’d be really interested in a stat that showed how much income the other 10 clubs made from the 4 old firm home games as opposed to their other 15.

17 Apr 2019 08:40:58
I’ve read the Kilmarnock chairman’s reasons for his decision and if he is willing to take a big hit on their finances then it’s up to him and his board and management team, there’s no way this is a spontaneous decision on their behalf. They are fed up with the coins being thrown and the baiting of their manager. As someone else on the site said, Kilmarnock backed Rangers at times so it’s not just us they are getting at, Celtic and their missile throwers are also mentioned. I don’t get to Kilmarnock’s ground so I don’t have the right to talk boycott, but it is extreme.

17 Apr 2019 09:10:44
That’s a fair point Johnboy🇬🇧.

17 Apr 2019 09:31:48
The way i'm seeing this is all because of the minority of both sets of the old firm fans can't leave this sectarian crap behind us, this is 2019 and no place at a football match.

17 Apr 2019 10:24:04
Well said Blue Blood.

17 Apr 2019 11:43:44
Hear Hear Blue Blood!

17 Apr 2019 19:09:33
Exactly mate. There easy to recognise with us and the Celtic fans as well. It's the fake Irish who wear the NI and the ROI tops but have no idea why. Guys who are Glasgow born and bred but run about was tricolor and red hand of ulster flags 😂 it's time all that nonsense was left in the past.

17 Apr 2019 21:28:39
Frustrated Blue
As my name states I’m from Ulster and I love the flag, but you are right, there is a time and place to fly it and it shouldn’t be a football game, I despise that tri- colour, I call it a butchers apron, but I can’t have it both ways, Good old fashion Rangers flags is good enough?

Going to Hearts game on Saturday - any top tips for good parking?

16 Apr 2019 20:48:30
You can get reversing cameras these days. Should improve your chances of good parking.

17 Apr 2019 00:16:44
Wow so helpful.

17 Apr 2019 00:26:35
Where you driving from? Inclusion park and ride next to airport and take the tram to murrayfield or Haymarket. Can also park at bankhead tram stop but it's just on street parking and gets busy quickly.

17 Apr 2019 07:48:40
Yeah - that was my plan - Ingleston and then the tram. Cheers.

17 Apr 2019 08:12:21
So much cheaper and convenient trying to get a seat on a local supporters bus. Time you pay for parking, fuel, public transport if you park out a bit it will probsbly
save you money and time mate.

17 Apr 2019 08:18:30
On street parking only on Gorgie Road - the side streets are permit only - no chance of getting parked.

Get the train to haymarket and get the bus back to Gorgie.

Drive to Livingston Train Station and then get the train to Gorgie East Train Station.

Parking in Edinburgh is too expensive and getting in and out is a nightmare.

17 Apr 2019 12:21:09
Usually go on supporters bus, but don't know any going to this one from Falkirk area.

18 Apr 2019 23:12:00
Facebook is the supporters friend. Get a post up asking about buses leaving locally on some of the gers pages, there's always a few bears willing to help out 👍.

16 Apr 2019 19:03:55
As we all know steven gerrard wants to sign quality over quantity in the close season and rightly so. I personally would be happy with john souttar of hearts, nick powell of wigan and the permanent signing of ryan kent from liverpool and if not permanently at the very least another 1 year loan deal. Those 3 with another striker,2 of morelos is sold, which being honest is likely. What do we think fellow bears and what players does everyone else on here think we should be signing, for these positions? Its going to be a crucial transfer window in the summer, for us, no doubt about it.

16 Apr 2019 19:19:45
Think we need more than that tbh. Would like to see Goldson and Candeias replaced. Bring back Kent for another loan, as he needs to improve on consistency. If we can't I don't think it will be a big loss with Jones coming in.

It would be good to sign a number 10 and drop Arfield back into a more central role where is work rate is needed.

Also your right about another striker. Personally I really rate Morelos but would be happy to see him replaced as his discipline has costs us too many points.

16 Apr 2019 19:51:08
Why do we need to replace goldson.

16 Apr 2019 19:53:13
Was down on holiday in Yorkshire last week and took in the Hull v Wigan game. Nick Powell scored in the 1st half but done nothing else - very lazy looking that night.

btw - Windass was poor and Garner played ok, but no end product.

16 Apr 2019 20:12:39
Yeah Coop, Kent is a great wee player and will get better! Morelos will probably be moved on and it’s probably for the best as he is another great prospect but is a liability and I personally will like to see him move hopefully for a good fee? The money could be invested like you say a descent centre half, a couple of half descent forwards but the most important is a great playmaker which is the hard one!
In Stevie G we trust! 🇬🇧.

16 Apr 2019 20:17:19
In response to your post zikos, i don't think for a minute that we should be contemplating selling goldson and gerrard won't. Again only my opinion, but ryan kent for me, is a good bit better than jordan jones,
which i've said on here many times. So not having ryan kent next season, will be a big loss to us, as far as i'm concerned mate. Nick powell would be a really good creative attacking no.10 midfielder for us imo. I agree with you regarding scotty arfield, who in centre midfield would be terrific there for us.

16 Apr 2019 20:54:35
The folk who want Powell obviously haven't saw him much, if folk on here thought windass hid wait till u see this guy. really Talented but only interested when his team have the ball. Wouldn't be near top of my list although with the amount of chances we make he'd probably get a good few goals and prove me wrong 😂.

16 Apr 2019 21:27:32
If we could only sign one player this window my choice would be Nick Powell, he’s got everything we need in midfield. I suspect he’ll move to the PL but I would push the boat out for him.

16 Apr 2019 22:53:52
I can't fault Candeias or Kent's work rate, however I honestly don't think they contribute enough assists or goals over the course of a season.

It's possibly the formation we play but if they're not scoring or assisting then what are they offering? Surely there not there to be providing space for Morelos and overlap opportunities for the fullbacks to deliver into the box? - who by the way probably have more assists than the wingers.

I think Kent will come back next year and kick in, however I suspect we've probably seen the best of Candeias and hope we can find someone of a higher standard. Although he has been a great servant for us, I would be a little disappointed going into next season with the same first choice RW.

In terms of Goldson, I know he is a player that divides opinion. And for me I think he lacks the physical stature to be top class. I've seen him bullied far too often this season, and make a lot of unforced errors. If he was a squad player, I would be happy enough, but coming from the EPL he will be a big earner and will want to play every week. Therefore, I would happily sell him. Some fans think he is the best in Scotland, but for me he isn't even the best at Ibrox and I don't think he is even in the top 5 in Scotland. Definitely a position we can do better.

But that's only my opinion.

16 Apr 2019 23:39:15
Coop, BTW I don't think Gerrard will drop or sell Goldson either.

He also needs to improve next year!

17 Apr 2019 04:54:08
He was superb beside katic at the beginning zikos. He didn't hit the same heights, since he came back from injury after the celtic game, at the turn of the year. He's lost form but doesn't make him a bad centre half. He's a good centre half in my eyes and will regain his top form.

17 Apr 2019 07:16:06
Powell is only a good option as he’s on a free. I’d still be looking for better quality than him and Stewart in attacking mid roles.

For me we need:

CD to replace Worrall, Souttar would be ok but o think we need a big season Katic too. Still leaves us one short

DM still don’t think we have a beast in here, might be one to look at next season as we have way to many defensively minded midfielders already.

AM The Key signing. A link player who can provide plenty assists as well as 10-15 goals themselves.

FR Possibly Hastie if it’s still on. Someone who is more of a goalscorer than a winger. An inside right who can get 10-15 goals.

FC if Morelos goes, if not then just a replacement for Lafferty who has offered little.

FL Hopefully Kent but if he’s not available then someone of similar quality. Even Kent can improve though.

17 Apr 2019 09:19:19
Arfield is not a cm. Nick powell is not what we need, far from it. 👍.

17 Apr 2019 11:32:05
Nick Powell gets linked with us and Celtic every single window. It's just recycled space filler for the tabloids.

17 Apr 2019 14:00:33
None of the players being linked to us are the marquee signings SG said we need to win league
Worrying.

17 Apr 2019 16:42:53
Coop Goldson is decent, nothing more. Would take any of the up and coming Scottish boys over him. McKenna, Porteous or Souttar.

17 Apr 2019 19:14:48
No chance mckenna and portions are rank. Golds on is miles in front of those 2. Souttar is the best of 3 you mentioned but I'd still say he's behind goldson atm.

17 Apr 2019 20:03:03
Watch the Hibs v Rangers match again and tell me Goldson is better than Porteous. Goldson got rag dolled by McNulty and the Swiss boy, whilst Porteous was man of the match. Solid dirty player in the mould of Craig Moore (my favourite ranger) .

16 Apr 2019 12:57:01
If story true about Kilmarnock cutting allocation, why not boycott?

16 Apr 2019 14:06:02
have they been cutting their own allocation for years too? 🤔 always lots of empty space in their own end.

16 Apr 2019 14:36:56
there's no chance they would even fill 3 stands. 1 for them would be plenty. If we have sealed 2nd by then (which we should have) then yea i agree.

16 Apr 2019 14:44:00
Boycott why? If they want to lose revenue like Hibs did last year let them!

16 Apr 2019 17:00:14
If that's what they give us its all I would take going forward. No doubt will want to put it back up next season when the 32 regulars turn up for them 🙈.

16 Apr 2019 18:21:37
If second place secured then boycott
Hit them where it hurts.

16 Apr 2019 09:19:21
Interesting article in the DR this morning from Kris Boyd, and especially some of his comments regarding the SFA
"the SFA have been able to look after certain clubs better than others"
"there have been incidents where they have turned a blind eye"
"you can see the pattern . It seems they'll deal with some things and not others"
All very true.

16 Apr 2019 15:22:50
They will be ragin'! Lol.

16 Apr 2019 17:20:05
And surprise surprise, the compliance officer says no rules have been broken in relation to the abuse their fans aimed at McInnes on Sunday.

16 Apr 2019 18:23:51
Have to be honest we don't exactly
Call Lennon a cheeky wee Roman Catholic do we.

17 Apr 2019 08:22:25
Think that's the point 6 counties. Soon as we sing anything, take the Steve Clarke situation it's all over papers, we're a disgrace etc. The week beDore boyd got same sung constantly and hit by a coin from Celtic fans, Steve Clarke didn't bat an eyelid, no condemnation or mock horror. This week you have hartson etc in papers saying mcinnes is only using sectarian card because Aberdeen got beat. The point is these songs are either sectarian or not, its not dependent on which set of fans sing them.

16 Apr 2019 09:10:41
I see Michael Stewart is bumping his gums again concerning Rangers, a lot of these
( not so good journalists ) are making a good living giving their unwelcome and unprofessional views in an institution that makes millions of people smile 😊 I suppose it’s the only way these uneducated guys can make a buck?

16 Apr 2019 11:57:31
Talking about "bucks", levein tried to trade stewart in at cash converters to get his buck back and they told him to jog on. Terrible footballer, even worse pundit. The bbc know they have lost the ratings, that's why that clown thompson is now a presenter. No one else of credibility will go near bbc sportscene. That jonathan sutherland that commentates for them proves that they are a joke show. 😂😂😂👍.

16 Apr 2019 13:36:36
not sticking up for that f*nny Stewart but he was only commenting on Dave Kings statement (which was just a lot of havers)

16 Apr 2019 14:45:24
Dave Kings “Dominant Force” was absolute rubbish to be fair. He wasn’t lying there.

16 Apr 2019 15:25:01
Sportscene is a joke programme. Amateur night. Always good for a chuckle mind you as they try but fail miderably to hide their hatred.
