Quick query. Father in laws 70th bday near Ross County away. Does anybody know if its okay for Rangers supporters to get hospitality tickets or is it for Ross county only. Either that or I try and get 5 away tickets which would be nearly impossible. Cheers.

15 Sep 2019 20:34:34
I’ve been in there corporate, no colours, no problems.
We declared when we booked in case they tried to ask us to leave. They basically wanted the money.

15 Sep 2019 21:01:12
Thanks John25.

16 Sep 2019 12:10:52
If its on the telly you will get 5 away tickets outside ground no bother.

15 Sep 2019 19:38:22
Certain individual needs to realise where we have been in the last 8 years and the massive improvement Mr Gerrard has made to our great club over the last year! Ok he never one a trophy in his first year but surely the season was a massive improvement with Europe football returning back to the club! After being where we have been maybe it will take us and Steven a few years to win the League back? Our club is on an upward spiral and we will get there but it takes time and I just hope Mr Gerrard stays on the journey✊🇬🇧.

15 Sep 2019 20:05:05
Spot on👍.

15 Sep 2019 20:05:56
as much as I agree with your sentiment mate but its bad enough that the 67 get thrown in our faces constantly but 10 in a row or even twice 9 in a row would be too much---I don't care if we were in lower leagues for 4 of them but this run has to be stopped---#priority imo---then and only then can mr g. move on to the bigger picture as in the epl.

15 Sep 2019 20:35:31
Deecee our survival greater than ten.

15 Sep 2019 18:12:54
If we can keep barker fit, he will be massive for us, He has the ability to be World class, but very rarely plays more than a few games in a row with out getting injured, supposedly has dodgy hamstrings. This comes from his last manager.

15 Sep 2019 19:50:22
The boy Barker played over 20 games during his time at Hibs. I think that’s probably his likely upper limit for us this season with Kent/ Jones playing the other 40 matches. I actually think Barker is potentially a better player than Kent and can be an excellent option and match winner for us if he says fit.

15 Sep 2019 20:11:50
What are dodgy hamstrings. Hamstrings are the muscle group on the back of your leg. So he has dodgy muscles but just on the back of his legs the rest of the body is okay or maybe he pulls his jaw muscle after a few full cooked breakfasts. The guys a winger with serious pace so the strain on the muscles is high. If he keeps pulling the leg muscles then he needs the physio and doc to look at how he can fix the issue, could be his running style, boots or physiology.

15 Sep 2019 20:47:14
Great post Doc TJBB.

15 Sep 2019 23:05:04
I think Gerard bringing in the new physio has a lot to do with it tbh.

15 Sep 2019 15:41:02
I see our loanee jake hastie has scored 2 in 2 for rotherham, who's manager is saying he's a terrific winger and playing out of his skin even this early, for them! Hopefully he keeps playing superbly well for them and comes back to us next season raring to go in our first team, on the right wing! He is a very powerful, pacey direct winger, with goals in him!

15 Sep 2019 16:31:24
Correct @SGL, a full season playing at a decent level will do him the world of good and can only benefit him and Rangers.

15 Sep 2019 17:39:56
Personally felt we loaned him out a bit quickly, much as we have a few wingers at the club he was doing well in the league last season and I’m not overly convinced with Ojo yet. Would like to see us bringing more of these youngsters into the team and letting them grow together. That’s the philosophy that breeds success everywhere else.

15 Sep 2019 19:33:23
Hope it gets more of a chance than young docherty is getting at present!

15 Sep 2019 19:52:14
I agree Supercoop than I think what has happened to the boy Docherty who also was a standout during his loan season in England.

16 Sep 2019 23:02:49
Its Rotherham. nuff said.

15 Sep 2019 15:33:23
To anyone basing criticism of the manager on us needing new players in certain positions (LB, CF etc) can you name me one team in the world who's fans don't have similar opinions? Man City fans going daft they are stuck with Stones and Otamendi til Jan, does that mean the team is crap or Pep should go? Would love to see a playmaker signed for the no.10 but to base short comings on the manager of use as evidence he isn't up to the job is wrong. Point is supporters of every team in the world would pick 2/ 3 positions they want changed.

15 Sep 2019 15:33:04
steven gerrard will be judged at the end of the season and in to the big one --the ten in a row farce. hopefully at the end of this season he becomes a legend like watty ---the pieces of the jigsaw are right in front of us with a great squad of players--who when they play in the right system are unbeatable#55---lets do this and make next season #56.

15 Sep 2019 14:37:00
People are getting hysterical about me questioning the manager. My concern is we are blinded by his famous name. This season is pivotal and here is how I think he needs to be judged.

Firstly, completely disregard the European games. With teams dropping in from CL the chances of us actually winning the Europa League are probably about the same as someone like East Fife winning the Scottish Cup. We probably will get some decent results as counter attacking suits our players, but a counter attacking style is useless in about 90% of domestic games where people sit behind the ball. So Europe is irrelevant. And before your argue with that ask yourself this - if you were offered 6 defeats in the upcoming games but you could win the title would you take it? I know I would.

The manager needs to be judged at the winter break. If we are ahead of Celtic or at the very worst within 3 points of them, then he’s doing his job. If we are more than 3 points behind he has to go. That gives an experienced manager time to come in, use the second half of the season to assess what he needs to do in order to stop 10 (really basic things like sign a left back) .

But my fear is we will be in a position where we are trailing Celtic but too scared to sack him because he is Steven Gerrard, whereas we would have sacked any other manager in the same position. We have to separate the legendary player from the rookie manager.

15 Sep 2019 14:55:45
Wagsman you r hysterical.

15 Sep 2019 15:02:08
Only one person is getting hysterical and that's yourself @Theswagman👍
You're questioning his position after 5 league games but at the same time are saying he should be judged at the Winter break? Make your mind up.
So we've to disregard the achievement of getting to the Europa League group stages and the cash benefit that brings to the club because we're not going to win it anyway.
So when we win #55, will we just phone up UEFA and tell them we aren't interested in playing in the CL qualifiers because we have no hope of winning the CL anyway?
So if we are 4 points behind he has to go? Or am I bring facetious?
And who's your choice of experienced manager?
And we have a LB, Barisic, who will start on Thursday. 👍
Knee-jerk reactions like yours will set the club back 2 years and back to square one.
Yes Gerrard made mistakes against Celtic. He's still got time to rectify them.
So I'm 100% behind Gerrard and the team, I won't be disregarding the Europa League achievements as I look forward to the Group games.
In Gerrard We Trust!
Let's Go!
#55.

15 Sep 2019 15:30:48
Sorry Theswagman, i'm totally with the rest regarding steven gerrard as rangers manager. Way too early to making hypothetical statements about what if this happens, what if that happens. let's wait and see and assess everything once the season is finished. Its definitely NOT the answer to keep binning manager's and ripping it up to start again! Gerrard has more than shown enough to be backed and continue as rangers manager, even after this season and if we don't win the league. Like i've said before, i believe we will win the league and most definitely a trophy.

15 Sep 2019 15:54:51
@SGL - MY point exactly. Let's try and build on something instead of permanently ripping it up and trying to start again.
Did Liverpool panic with Klop? No.
Have Man Utd panicked since Fergie? Yes, and they are a basket case.
Gerrard is putting the foundations in place for something special. 👍.

15 Sep 2019 16:17:20
I’m not questioning his position. I’m saying at what point do we question? As I’ve said, my worry is we are all too in love with being able to say Steven Gerrard is our manager without being able to separate out his actual performance. He has much better players than previous managers but the rise in performance levels does not match the rise in the standard of players. We are playing better than under previous managers yes, but let’s say we are playing 20% better but with a squad that is easily 50% better.

15 Sep 2019 16:18:37
Coop, once the season is finished? So if he’s then had two tries to beat Celtic and failed, does he get a third?

15 Sep 2019 16:24:14
Thewagsman you're a wind up merchant few people will take seriously.

15 Sep 2019 16:40:10
How am I a wind up merchant? I’m asking a serious question. Our manager got tactically outsmarted by Neil Lennon, surely that has to be a worry? Last season his blind spot for Worral cost us points. His constant rotation the same. He can’t get a performance out of a Croatian international left back so plays a right back or centre midfielder instead. Again, I’m not saying I want the manager sacked, I’m saying I’m not convinced by him and I worry people can only see the famous name.

15 Sep 2019 16:44:08
Two serious questions for all of you - and please answer the questions rather than just fire in with random insults.

1. If we drop more points and lose the next old firm and are 8+ points behind Celtic going into the winter break (all that would take is one draw for us and them to keep winning) are you still keeping the manager?

2. If the answer to the above is yes, what would it take for you to get rid?

15 Sep 2019 16:51:04
Why are you basing your whole argument on hypotheticals? If Fredo doesn't score for the next ten games, should he be sold cut price in January? If it's revealed Tav has an 'i love Neil lennon' tattoo on his leg do we drop him as Captain? I would rather debate on the here and now mate.

15 Sep 2019 16:58:09
You're full of ifs and ifs. Calm down.

15 Sep 2019 17:48:13
Most on here can see an improvement on last seasons squad, results. We're winning games, even when playing poorly, I happen to think that's a sign of a decent side.
let's NOT ignore European results, its helped sign Kent.

15 Sep 2019 18:11:18
I'll repeat a small part of my original reply to you Theswagman. If using your word here, steven gerrard loses the league to celtic and is lagging behind in january he still stays as manager for me. He'll still have the scottish cup to play for at that stage and he may well have won his first trophy, ie. the league cup by then. My whole point to you was i don't think there's any point in continuing to change manager's and tearing it up, as what happens, when a new manager comes in! The reason like you said that we have better players, is because of steven gerrard being our manager! Hope i've explained it ok for you Theswagman. 🤔.

15 Sep 2019 18:47:54
Quite simple Sg stays for 3 minimum, we can’t keep changing.
It’s about being mentally tough, remember they tried to kill us, we will be back.

15 Sep 2019 19:29:09
I agree John25.Theswagman asked what he felt it would take at possibly changing steven gerrard as our manager. I agree with John25,as i'd keep gerrard as rangers manager, for a minimum of 3 years, as that would cover us either stopping 10 in a row or them achieving it (I don't think they'll get 10iar) . Only then should we look at gerrard's position. It would be hypothetical looking at his position, when he wins the league this season and stops 9iar. that's my opinion on it.

15 Sep 2019 19:56:28
I’m with theswagman. Hypothetically if Rangers were more than 8 points adrift at the winter break then we should be looking for a new manager. Simple.

I hope that never transpires but why would you want to keep a manager that has had heavy backing but not able to win the league? It doesn’t make sense.

Why would you think anything would get better in the second half if this season or the third?

We just passed up the easiest ever time to beat Celtic. An untried back 4 and a goalkeeper that hasn’t played in ages and we managed a single shot on target in 90 mins.

Make no excuses that 100% comes down to Gerrard.

Let hope he manages a run if wins and Celtic drop points. If not his coat will be on a shoogly nail going into the next old firm match.

15 Sep 2019 19:59:41
Spot on John25. We will win the league when we return to having a strong winning mentality throughout the team. This is improving year on year but is not their yet.

15 Sep 2019 20:04:33
Behave yourself Theswagman and get fully behind the team. If I had to choose between beating Celtic two weeks ago and qualifying for Europa League, on this occasion would definitely choose Europe. We have plenty of time now to observe and deal with Celtic this season. Very big couple of weeks coming up and time for the supporters to get fully behind SG, his staff and team.

15 Sep 2019 20:06:50
Completely disregard the European games?! He has guided us through 8 qualifiers unbeaten and this will earn us millions!
European football is pivotal for our club, don’t just brush them off as not important.
Ask yourself this. in 2008 did you think we could win it after getting put out the CL?

15 Sep 2019 20:12:31
Sorry people I totally agree with thewagsman.

15 Sep 2019 20:59:47
Some things never change DS.

15 Sep 2019 21:20:12
So we just keep changing manager's every 2 years or so and throwing money down the swanie? No if we're getting closer to them and improving we stick with the manager because with gerrard i truly think that he'll win the league for us. Remember the magnet he's got in his name and professionalism in bringing players to rangers. They all want to play for stevie G. Get behind him as there's no doubt he's closed the gap on them and their dominance will come to an end under gerrard's tenure as rangers manager, i'm pretty confident on that. For the doubters better the devil you know and who would you bring in?

15 Sep 2019 21:30:25
Thanks Zikos and dsgersfan. Too many people seem happy to let standards slip and let them coast to 10. We would never hear the end of it. If we are behind them at Xmas it’s time for a new manager.

And the “get behind the team” comments - I have a season ticket and I’m behind them every single game.

16 Sep 2019 00:04:29
Like it or not there comes a time at Rangers that if your not meeting your targets or if the fans aren’t happy then you will be shown the door. And I don’t think the target he has been set is to finish second.

Nothing personal, just the way it is and it won’t change.

Let’s all hope Stevie doesn’t find that out.

16 Sep 2019 05:07:41
Who would you want to replace SG Wagsman, hypothetically?

16 Sep 2019 08:54:33
Swagman I kinda see some of your points but you can't disregard Europe you can't disregard the name of gerrard and the profile of our club he's raised IMO we'd never have got Defoe, Kent, Aribo if it wasn't for him
I think his position would be questioned at the end of the season if we were further behind celtic than last season.

At the moment we've got to stick with SG and the team my gripe with him and has been since day one is IMO he waits too long to sub but given he's ex Liverpool captain and England captain I'll bow to his superior knowledge
I think some were a bit unfair in replies to you after all your entitled to an opinion and to ask questions.

16 Sep 2019 12:01:37
Thanks blue blue sea. Accused of blasphemy if you ask the question!

15 Sep 2019 12:48:39
We all have to remember that Mark Allen was instrumental in trying to bring mcinnes to ibrox, he will be sorely missed.

15 Sep 2019 15:38:44
Yeah I agree with that Goph and thank the Lord that guy never took the job🇬🇧.

15 Sep 2019 16:23:59
To think there was many on here, who wanted delboy mcinnes as our new manager, OMG a very lucky escape we had there. Mcinnes never good enough to be the glasgow rangers manager!
Simple as that for me and i did say so on here at the time! The derek mcinnes lovers and wanted him as our manager, have stayed silent since but they know who they are!

15 Sep 2019 16:41:11
What are you on about SGL? Mcinnes does not get mentioned because he tried to embarrass us but I would have taken him as manager in context of where we were at that time, now I wouldn't give him a sniff of my fart. Do you need reminded about our scores against them last season?

15 Sep 2019 16:51:19
At the end of the day you never knock Glasgow Rangers back especially if your a blue nose and he will regret that decision the rest of his life!

15 Sep 2019 18:17:20
We needed a manager to challenge celtic Jyf. Derek mcinnes had no chance of achieving that for us over a 38 game league marathon. Yes he beat us a bit last season but when graeme murty was our caretaker, he beat mcinnes a few times, my point being you can't go on that, as they're one of games and we all know the sheep always raise their game against us. With steven gerrard being our manager, he IMO gives us a far better chance of taking the league from celtic, than mcinnes ever could have dreamed of doing. Mcinnes didn't have it to where our club needed to go, simple as that for me pal!

15 Sep 2019 20:45:29
Supercoop, I recall some on here even wanted Billy Davies ahead of McInnes as our manager.

15 Sep 2019 21:21:43
Bankie honestly mate imo billy davies is streets ahead of delboy mcinnes as a manager.

16 Sep 2019 09:03:52
SGL you can’t have a man with his background near our club.

15 Sep 2019 11:26:00
I'll be at super soccer in Glasgow on 15th sept 4pm anyone wants a match currently looking for competition and game time preferably bigger guys I've got a cup final coming up at Dunfermline football stadium.

15 Sep 2019 08:59:23
Some people on here need a reality check regarding Gerrard and the team!
We are 5 games into a league campaign and too many are letting the Celtic game define our season.
Cast your mind back a couple of seasons where we were seen as a soft touch home and away and teams weren't afraid to come and have ago.
Now under Gerrard we have that fear factor back and teams are sitting in making it very difficult for us to break them down.
And this is where the team deserve credit this season. Because although they haven't played well at times they've dug in and ground out last minute winner at Killie and eventually broke down a stubborn St Mirren side. They even weathered a difficult 10 minutes spell when Hibs had nothing to lose and could and get back into a game we were totally dominating.
Throw in under Gerrard the first club ever to go through all 4 qualifying rounds to get to the Europa League group stages for 2 seasons running and I would say progress is being made.
The only thing missing is Silverware.
Now what are the alternatives?
Any McInnes fans left?
Any Steve Clarke fans left?
Just remember the current profile of Rangers is because of Gerrard's status in the game and because we are now seen as a Europa League team again.
Previously? Well I don't need to remind anyone of what went before!
So let the team and especially Gerrard rectify the disappointment of the Celtic game. Let's all enjoy the upcoming Europa League games and let's see where the rest of this season takes us.
Sometimes it won't be pretty, but 3 points are all that matters!
In Gerrard We Trust!
Let's Go!
#55.

15 Sep 2019 09:08:33
Superb post LETSGO! _55 and spot on mate! 👍.

15 Sep 2019 09:26:13
Great post someone who can see the bigger picture.
I for one can remember going to Ibrox in the pre Gerrard years where teams came and were in fact confident of winning .
That has changed now teams come and sit with 10 men behind the ball and leave one up top like the first half yesterday. It is now up to Gerrard and the team to find away to break this down ( which they are ) it will not always be pretty but as long as we win that is all that matters.
On another note Goldson needs to be rested don’t get me wrong the guy is a good defender and is always talking to his team mates throughout the game but his form has taken a dip lately, there big number 9 yesterday won every battle against him before he got sent off, and his long balls out of defence 9 times out of ten either go out the park or straight through to the oppositions goalie.
Anyway everyone should get right behind the team on Thursday as this is where we wanted to be beginning of season the only blip was the old firm.

15 Sep 2019 09:35:50
Brilliantly put let'sgo couldn't agree more👍.

15 Sep 2019 10:46:44
I agree with above posts to a point but I still think we need players a good left back for one this a problem area on the park Halliday good squad player but sorry not at left back if it’s going to be Barasic then he needs game time, also we need a quality number ten to break these teams down it’s that final ball to open up defences that we lack I’m not going to be greedy but another striker a good old fashioned tall striker just to mix it up I agree with Goldson yesterday his passing was terrible but all in all we are in not to bad a place pity about Kent but when one door closes another opens and I’m glad Barker walked through it I was impressed with him you could see Livi were frightened of him two sometimes three players on him and a great goal so bring on Thursday another night under the floodlights magic.

15 Sep 2019 12:48:10
That post from letsgo is far to positive for some on here.

15 Sep 2019 13:35:05
Terrific post LETSGO 55, we must also live within our means, as for the comments about needing a left back, we are perfectly covered in that position with seasoned pro's who played at the top level, no need to waste money, where we do need cover is a striker. Terrific turnaround in fortunes for our Club since Steven Gerrard arrived, I cannot think of anyone else better at this time, as LTESGO says, let's stop moaning and get right behind this team, because, apart from one game, these boys don't know the meaning of the word defeat.

15 Sep 2019 20:05:37
Well said, Ii have been to every home game this season as a season ticket holder and the celtic game aside I fail to see the extreme negativity towards the team we could easily have been up by three or four at half time yesterday we had them pinned in there own half for massive parts of the first half was it really as bad as some were making out I just didn't see it.
Livingston came with a game plan having already put more points on the board than hearts hibs killie and Aberdeen the teams that are all taken to make up the top five.

We broke them down scored three times and move on no body looks good against teams that sit in with 11 men behind the ball with the only objective being to get a point.

The Steven Gerrard debate its just the silverware that's been missing so far and I really don't think we are that far away either in the previous past few seasons we lose yesterday and we lose against killie there is a confidence there now and a steel. All just my opinion but I really don't think things are that bad.
