He looked decent going forward but much like Tav on the other side his positional play is sadly lacking. At least we saw a bit of fight in the team but you need quality to go with it

As much as I like Morelos he had a very bad attitude he didn't look interested when we were getting beat his head was down and was to busy trying to noise up the big defender lucky not to be sent off himself. That being send second half performance was not good enough. As well as the ref total joke.

I have to disagree here! He gives us a goal threat, he is a typical goalscorer. He offers little elsewhere but does the thing that wins u games! Scores goals which is a hard type of player to come by! And we've not had a natural goalscorer for a long time! Body was last 1 I can think of

Can't believe nobody has Sussd this. We were totally overrun in centre of midfield tonight. not blaming anyone in particular but maybe rossiter wide made a difference.

What cost is was a bad deflection after a free kick given for a 50/ 50 rustle and a defence that was asleep. We put enough pressure on the 10 man defence but final ball was poor. Pena is not shaping up and seems a waste of money. We can keep persevering with miller and midfielder to run at the opposition

Blue nose, it wasnt a bad deflection it was bad defending. Alves took a step to the left and Morelos turned sideways. That left a big gap in the middle of the wall. Stand firm and take a hit, that's what a wall should do. Mind Murdo Macleod being knocked out in the gaMe against brazil. If you are scared of getting hit then get the f¥ck out of the wall!

think you all need to take a step back think they played ok but just ok think we need at least two players a left winger Windas is not the answer he does it in part of the game but not enough and we need a target man to play along side Morelos I'm afraid when you bring in eleven new players you will have to give them time not all transfers will work that is the same at all teams the jury is out but I'm not donning the black cap yet they are a bit better than the beginning of the season and a lot better than last season but granted a long way to go but that will take money and at this point that is tight

I think its time to try a 3-5-2 away from home as we are not controlling the midfield it wasn't a good team performance but honestly Celtic only just scraped a win there and if we are going to play Herrera we must play it to his feet as he's not great in the air and seems to. lack a bit of positional sense in the box.

SG34 do you honestly under MW we had a better team or played better football I defenately think the team has played better over last few games we have eleven new players they all need time and not all will be a success that is the same at all clubs the mess that was left by MW will take time to turn around first of all we are scoring goal again though we need to kill games off I still think we need that aerial threat Moult could have done us a turn and a left winger but that is more money we maybe don't have right now but we fought right to the end it was a good game to watch we are not the Rangers of old we will drop points but we will get better we need another transfer window but let's dig in get behind the team and see where we are Feb March next year

Of course i'm not Baz but when players are picking the wrong pass time and again that's not down to the manager. we are playing decent stuff at times and getting into dangerous posistions then we lack the final ball, that's down to the individule not the manager. and if you wernt aware every games a must win at this club but its not always possible

Bad night IMO. windlass is never a LW also think dorrans should be playing further forward and miller should stay up top and stop coming to deep. we need to be stronger/ tougher in midfield as thistle bullied us in there. Another bad performance and I'm all for giving managers time but I don't think Pedro's got it tbh some bad signings and tactically unaware

Good point Sparky. We paid over £2m for Pena when we could have landed McLean for under £1m. We signed Herrera for £1.5m when we could have signed May for free or Moult for just over£500K. Who are both proven goal scoarers in Scotland. Confusing.

I am fed up of the media continually saying we can go top tonight with 4 goals, yeah its a fact but the rest have a game in hand and its so early in the season who gives a f#! k, if it was 3 games to go but the whole season is pretty much ahead. On a different note I am liking the look of the team but we do always look likely to concede. Cut that out and we will definitely be a force but until then we too often look mediocre. Just hope we get a positive result tonight and continue on our very long journey back to where we belong.

I read a lot on here regarding Miller. some of it a little unfair in my opinion. He constantly works his socks off and him and morelos are forging an understanding. They work quite well and the young Colombian lad is benefiting from Kennys work rate.

Nobody's questioning his commitment but some are facing up to the reality that he's approaching 38 years of age and not cut out for playing wide or dropping into the midfield. Granted he's good in the box but it ends there. He's slowed down a lot and his forward passing doesn't get pass marks. There's too much sentimentality surrounding Miller and you say some of the remarks here are a little unfair. He never gets criticism, far from it, he gets away with a lot when others get hammered for mistakes.

miller should imo be used at the end of games if we need him like say about 20 mins 15 mins to go as i think he would study while he is off and make the most of his time on the pitch

Think he's important while other guys still find their feet at the club, his pitch time will decrease as season progresses! Still think he is vital going into old firm match to help the new guys that haven't played in the fixture before

Kfraser I understand your points, wouldn't you say that because he hasn't been as prolific as last season his mistakes in games are being highlighted more? I feel, in particular, his clever runs and his commitment make him an absolute must for the Celtic game. His experience will be vital in that one. He thrives in these occasions and I feel like I previously mentioned Morelos will and is benefiting hugely with Kenny in there.

I'm pretty sure that the majority of us can see that this Team is getting better. We have the Squad that can give the Tic a game especially if we play basically a 4-5-1.
Celtic have Players who are at a certain level and whether this game was at the Methadome or Ibrox, Brenda will have 5 in midfield albeit an Attacking midfield and we should do the exact same! I do not think we should go with 2 CDM's in Jack and Rossiter, in a 4-2-3-1 BUT I would rather that than a 4-4-2 against that lot!
So the Team that ended the Dundee Game OR a 4-1-4-1 with Jack in front of back 4 and Dorrans and Pena in the middle of the midfield, but we cannot go 4-4-2 we will get over run in midfield.

I think its got to be Rossiter instead of Pena for this 1 Andy. Penas still trying to find his feet albeit he's showing signs of improvement but i think this has came abit early for him. we should maybe give him the last 20mins when we're 4 up😜. (only kidding rayman99 and bham before uz have a meltdown)

IMO it has to be 4-5-1 with a lot of work from the midfield.

Rossiter Jack
Candeais Dorrans Windass
Morelos
This gives is a lot of power from midfield compared to previous games and options from the bench. However we are going to need the mids supporting up top.
Would like to see Pena and Miller later if we need a goal.

That's the team I'd go with also. The 2 holding can provide cover for full backs when they go, however, i'd expect a more disciplined role for full backs. They need to be clever when to go and when not as they obv have pace down both sides.

I thought about Miller on the left for more penetration and if Candeias is crossing from right he could hopefully ghost in at back post. Also he is usually good for a goal against them.
Just not sure he could provide cover defensively.
I also agree that our full backs need to be disciplined in when they break out.

Cant really argue with that selection. Do prefer a 4-1-4-1 though. Think the 2 defensive mids leaves us sitting too deep. Moving fwd into the season i'm hoping to see the exact team you've stated but losing one of the defensive mids, rossiter, and putting pena (if he comes good) in beside dorrans/ behind morelos. Will be a tough game but if we play well they'll know they've been in a game. El Buffalo 1st to score!

middle will be imo jack dorrans sitting windass and candias wide and miller and morelos up front.
miller is generally good for a goal against that lot and like you said pena isn't quite ready to tackle his first old firm or i'd have played pena just behind morelos

Guys, why are we all picking the team to face Celtic. 2 very important games before then and if not won then we will be within touching distance of writing the season off. Focus on tonight's game, anything other than a convincing performance and victory will be extremely disappointing. The Celtic game will look after itself.
