Ed Have I missed something or has the Dave King F&P thing gone completely quiet? I can't understand why a decision hasn't been made by now. On a slightly different note our new board as far as i'm aware arrived in a wave of optimism based upon complete transparency and plans for the future? I am yet to see anything positive come from them, anyone else any thoughts? For what it's worth I am still happy they are in control with a will to do the right thing for the club but am far from convinced that a real plan actually exists!

{Ed039's Note - Just in the papers today that a decision is close, I had mentioned the other day I had heard that it had been held up at Kings end and looks like it was correct)

Maybe the reason they are not cming out with any plans is simply that they are waiting on hearing the verdict on the Dave King case, I know it seems pedantic but if he is the man with the plan he might want to be the man to unveil it.

I also am glad they and not the previous incumbants are in charge and I genuinely do think they will come good but I can understand the frustration of others after what we have been through.

I would expect if King is passed fit and proper that he will act pretty swiftly and give us the clarity and direction needed.

"Whoever gets it in the summer, whether that's me or someone else, will find it is a great job to have. There will be a lot of new players coming into the club so it will be an exciting time to be the Rangers manager."

Looks like there will be a clear out in the summer

read today, SFA still waiting on Kings lawyers getting back to them regarding more information they requested over two weeks ago.

why the delay from Kings side? has he taken cold feet and just trying to piss them off, or is he delaying too see outcome of play offs.

I think if rangers are still playing in the championship next season, King will make sure he fails fit and proper person investigation, as he`s had a look under the bonnet, and seen the engine`s F££K£D.

Bluebeard if king is holding it up at his end then he is up to something. Do you think he wants out after looming at the books?

I read today that McCall is no certainty for a permanent post even if he does get us promoted. I'd have doubted Mourinho appointed would have managed it. If McCall pulls it of, there's surely no question at all that he should be given a full contract.

Kfraser, why should there be "no question"? If he gets the job full time then great, on we go but getting us promoted through finishing third in the league is not an instant "sign him up now" moment, we could be just stumbling on in the same vein as we have been for the last four years. In my opinion this is one of the most important appointments we have ever made and serious thought has to go into it, if we go up and Mccall does not get the job then he has done his CV no harm at all, still a legend, but if he gets the job and we carry on as we have been with new players but same tac tics then I worry about our future.

A very interesting insight into Ashley's thinking on stirring trouble for rangers in a great piece in the telegraph by roddy Forsyth worth a read.

It is purely his opinion, hardly an insight into MA.
