Hearts are taking SPFL to court. First thing they will do is ask for an injunction which will stop season starting on 1st August.
Doncaster and his 'phone a friend' mate, Peter, should really have a good look at themselves.

16 Jun 2020 01:39:59
Ann will not Budge, and good on her. Ironic she is the only one with the balls to do it.

16 Jun 2020 05:06:06
That mob now trying to arrange the fixtures for next season they really do run this cesspool that is Scottish football🇬🇧.

15 Jun 2020 20:05:12
I'll give you a laugh guys. A jambo i know quite well told me half an hour ago that former rangers legendary manager sir walter smith, is going to be the new hearts director of football, with either tommy wright or john robertson becoming the new hearts manager 😂😂. I honestly nearly swallowed my big mug, as well as the coffee whole.
It got me thinking again about wattie however. Fellow bears, being totally unbiased,
where does walter smith sit in your opinion,
in your list of being one of the best, scottish manager's of all time? 🤔.

15 Jun 2020 20:16:13
Top 👍.

15 Jun 2020 20:23:39
He has got to be up in the top 3 Scottish managers to be honest.
Alex ferguson and no matter what you think of that lot jock stein as well.

15 Jun 2020 20:43:50
That would be my unbiased 3 KJA9!
The best 3 scottish manager's for me would be-1.Sir Alex Ferguson,2.Jock Stein and 3.Our Very Own Sir Walter Smith! 👌👍. There's not much between smith and stein IMO. I remember when sir alex ferguson took walter smith down to be his assistant at man utd.
Fergie said then, that smith and stein were practically equal and he said walter could easily be the manchester utd manager, in his own right, that's how highly sir alex rated walter smith! He thought smith was a terrific manager and of course as usual he was correct! 👌👍.

15 Jun 2020 20:44:19
Probably just in front of Waddell.

15 Jun 2020 20:50:28
Lot of top Scottish managers Fergie busby shanks stein and Walter prob forgot plenty as well.

15 Jun 2020 20:51:46
Yup coop.
Ferguson
Stein
Smith.

15 Jun 2020 21:32:24
Walter, fantastic man and manager.

Matt Busby maybe the best for me, coming back from the Munich disaster to win the European Cup in 1968 was some achievement. Think he signed Charlton, Best and Law so definitely had an eye for a player.

Finally, Jim McLean deserves a mention. Winning a league and talking a provincial club to a European final and the semis of the European Cup was impressive stuff.

{Ed001's Note - Shankly gave Law his debut as a 16 year old at Huddersfield Town and wanted to take him to Liverpool with him. It was he who recommended him to his friend Matt Busby, who paid a British record fee for him.}

15 Jun 2020 22:14:23
Forgot about shanks and busby I would say WS would be 5th best just wasn’t thinking.

15 Jun 2020 22:48:45
Thought jock stein was a rangers man anyway so why would we not agree? Lol 😂 but yeah sir Walter for me, best by far, didn’t have all the riches like Alex Ferguson at Man Utd and didn’t live in an era like jock stein where u get through 5 games on aggregate wins u win the European cup, Walter was better than both, tactical genius who had to cut his cloth to suit in comparison to far superior wealth clubs in Europe, whilst dominating domestically, LEGEND.

15 Jun 2020 23:10:21
Jock Stein, followed by Shanks and Ferguson.

15 Jun 2020 23:00:14
Sorry lads can't have stein.

16 Jun 2020 03:20:48
Walter gets in the top 5 behind Ferguson, Busby, Stein and Shankly. That's some company to be in.

16 Jun 2020 06:57:29
Gaz, Ferguson never had riches at Aberdeen and look what he did there. Alex Ferguson was probably the greatest manager of all time from any country!

{Ed001's Note - didn't he take over Aberdeen when they were flush with North Sea money? I am pretty sure they had a comparatively large amount of money to spend.}

16 Jun 2020 09:45:50
12 what are your reasons you can’t have stein.

16 Jun 2020 10:13:30
Hard to argue with Ferguson, Stein and Smith in that order, though Bill Shankly's brother Bob did a fantastic job steering Dundee to their only league title in 1962 on limited resources. As a youngster born and brought up in Dundee, before my Dad allowed me to travel to Rangers games, I remember this team:

Liney, Hamilton, Cox; Seith, Ure, Wishart; Smith, Penman, Cousin, Gilzean, Robertson.

Some team!

16 Jun 2020 14:26:44
Well Alex Ferguson also got sacked by st mirren? But yeah he is a great manager I’m not saying he’s not, I just think Walter shades it for me 👍 if Alex deviated from a 4-4-2 he might’ve won a few more European cups in my opinion, Walter was great at selecting tactics n formations, just my opinion mate 👍.

16 Jun 2020 20:08:49
Gaz sorry Walter does not shade it from Fergie.

16 Jun 2020 20:09:52
Doiger, Gilzean a fantastic player, I wanted him at rangers.

17 Jun 2020 02:52:45
Ok Alex Ferguson won what? 13 titles and 5 fa cups in 26 years? Also 2 champions leagues, that’s 20 major trophies in 26 years, Walter smith won about 23 in 11 years, more trophies in less than half the timespan, Alex Ferguson took over Man Utd in 1986 he didn't win the league until 1993.

Walter was successful in both his periods at rangers right from the get go, Walter also took us on a 44 game unbeaten run, including a ten game unbeaten run in the champions league where only corruption prevented us getting in the final, took us to the UEFA cup final in 2008, became Scotland manager and took us more than 70 places up the rankings, it’s Walter Smith for me 👍.

15 Jun 2020 19:48:21
The new strip doesn't seem to be very good I'm afraid. The logos aren't embroidered. It's like a plastic transfer stuck on. The kind you get done for a stag night. They only cost about 4 quid to make and RFC wants to charge a bout 50 quid. I don't like it, but I'll buy one anyway. And yeah, tav should be demoted. Never captain material. 2years with him as cap and 2 years with no silverware. Any other job and the guys upstairs would have the captain sacked for being crap. Ryan jack was captain at shaggerdeen. Why not give him a chance. Gerrard needs to wake up big time this season. BIG TIME.

15 Jun 2020 19:56:48
Have you had a look and quality of new strip? Can’t see it anywhere and the RFC badge must be embroidered.

15 Jun 2020 20:01:31
Firstly you haven't seen the strips. Secondly even if it is a non embroidered badge doesn't mean the whole thing is cheap crap. Thirdly we haven't been favourites for any competition for the last 2 years. Fourthly captains aren't judged in what the team wins. Fifthly our budget is half of Celtics, fans need to wake up big time.

15 Jun 2020 20:08:45
Rossco3001,thats training gear to get them started mate, they're not our strips! I agree however that i would hope/ like our badge and the castore logo to be sewn on, as opposed to a plastic transfer.

15 Jun 2020 20:21:17
It’s not the strip but I 100% agree with you the new training kit looks horrendous to be honest. I hope the strips look better or it’s just embarrassing.

15 Jun 2020 20:26:20
I like the Castore gear. It’s good quality sports gear. I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the new Rangers kit and training gear.

15 Jun 2020 21:58:20
Rossco where have you seen the strip not the training gear to pass comment on quality etc?

15 Jun 2020 22:57:52
What strip?
Isn't it just pictures of the training tops that have been released?
But you've basically moaned for nothing saying you will buy it anyway? 😩.

16 Jun 2020 03:21:52
Castore have confirmed they are embroidered.

15 Jun 2020 17:54:44
Can I have a poll if any thinks tavernier should be captain? Not for me we need a real leader.

{Ed033's Note -

Tavernier as captain poll

15 Jun 2020 19:09:44
Don’t understand the constant rubbish that is aimed at Tav.

Maybe he would be a better captain if people got off his back.

Take the captaincy off him, don’t let him take corners, don’t let him take free kicks, take the penalties off him, he attacks too much, he never defends.

Honestly give the guy a break.

15 Jun 2020 19:53:37
He admitted that he and the players couldn't handle the pressure baz, not captain material for me!

15 Jun 2020 20:17:36
I agree Baz the bear, we all need to get behind james tavernier and if gerrard keeps him as rangers captain, we should be supporting him whether we think someone else should be captain or not! I've always said this and been proven correct. When tav isn't in our starting 11,we miss his attacking prowess and athleticism massively. We're nowhere near as good on our right hand side when tav isn't playing. Its not lies fellow bears, that's a fact. He's like a lot of full backs nowadays, as he's not the best defensively, but good going forward and is a good footballer. Get behind him guys and stop this constant slagging of our captain. Stop making him the whipping boy all the time. Gerrard knows what it takes to be a captain, as he was a magnificent captain for liverpool and england and he's still sticking with tav as rangers captain! That will do for me!

15 Jun 2020 20:17:37
That's why he shouldn't be captain baz, if your are a professional footballer then you have to expect criticism. If your captain at a massive club like rangers and the team don't perform then that criticism is ten fold. He cannot handle the pressure and expectation, he does not have the balls for the job.
Do u think gough or
Ferguson would have come out saying their scared to play the smaller teams in the match programme? . not in a million years mate, they would rather castrate themselves with a rusty butter knife before saying that in public!

15 Jun 2020 20:22:33
Tav is never captain material it’s a complete joke I have never understood it he is a terrible defender and that’s his main job defend.

15 Jun 2020 20:52:51
Gerrard obviously thinks different and highly of tav and that's what matters guys, as he's the manager.
Gerrard sees everything in training etc and everything about tav as a person that we're not privy to see.
Like i said earlier KJA9, the majority of modern day full backs are all much better going forward than defending, as that's the way football has been going for a while now! Tav's defensive mistakes get magnified because we don't have the centre halfs to cover him, when he's constantly attacking up our right hand side! Teams with better centre halfs can cover their full backs much better and it doesn't get noticed the same.

15 Jun 2020 21:37:06
It scares me if we go into a season trying to stop 9 3/ 4 in a row with a captain who is nowhere near mentally tough enough.

15 Jun 2020 22:17:09
SGL you are right SG does think different but doesn’t make him correct as we all know he has made plenty of mistakes, I am right behind SG on most things but JT as captain is not one and it’s something that he has got badly wrong from the start.
Also CG is never a vice captain either.
Should be Jackie arfield I would have said Davis but getting in a bit and won’t play every game next year.

15 Jun 2020 22:23:53
Geronimo, if tav wasn't mentally tough enough, do you or anyone else for that matter, think steven gerrard wouldn't act on it? Of course gerrard would as he's so very professional, so give the manager his place here guys and trust him and back him and the FULL team!

15 Jun 2020 22:48:39
As long as Tav has got a Gers top on I will back him. No he’s not a captain but he gets blamed for every goal we lose by some of our support. How about getting behind the guy.

15 Jun 2020 23:15:58
For me Jack or Shagger for captain for coming season.

15 Jun 2020 22:56:11
Let our manager decide who the captain should be - that's his job.

Our job is to support.

I'm afraid that if you think that SG is missing something when it comes to the choices he makes on team selection, captain, signings etc, you need to forward your CV and see how far you get.

Every move, player and decision is analysed in great detail before and afterwards by professionals.

No decision is perfect, no decision is made with hindsight and no decision can take into account referee decisions, odd individual errors, slips or fouls.

For me, Tav has been one of our best, most consistent players (must have played more minutes than anyone else in the last 2 seasons) .

He ain't perfect, he will never be a John Greig or even Richard Gough but whilst he is named as captain I will back him - I don't see any other stand out in our current squad.

15 Jun 2020 22:59:27
Correct Baz.
The team should be full of leaders.
Jack, Davis, McGregor, Arfield etc should all have stood up to be counted when the going got tough after the winter break.
Stuart McCall said on the 4Lads podcast that was part of the success of the Rangers team he played in - leaders all over the pitch.

15 Jun 2020 23:32:11
I understand many people don’t like Tav which is fair enough. His comments weren’t the best last season and I get why people were upset.

But some of the abuse he was getting last year was way over the top. For a rangers captain to get that amount of abuse from his own support wasn’t great. I sit in the club deck and the abuse was terrible.

If SG picks him as captain I will back him 100%. As fans we don’t see what happens in training, in the dressing room, etc. He seems to be a popular lad and I can’t recall any of the players having an issue with him. Apart from a few games last year he has played nearly every game since arriving. I also think his stats for assists are very good but as I am not really a stats guy I can’t back this up.

Everyone deserves a bit of criticism but a wee bit over the top for me.

16 Jun 2020 07:54:13
I don't think fans need to see what happen's in the dressing room or on the training ground, what happens on the pitch is what matters and Tav just doesn't have it. He is not a captain or a leader and he needs replaced, not only as captain but in team aswell. 👍.

16 Jun 2020 09:09:21
I have to say I'm not the lad's biggest fan as I think he switches off at vital momemts in games. Invariably, knowing our luck these moments lead to goals. I don't think he is a bad player, but he just needs to stay on his toes at the back. As somebody said I'm not really a stats man, however Tav's goals and assists are extremely good for a full back. Do I think he should be captain? No, but I don't see the point in demoralising him by taking the captaincy from him. To be honest, there should be 11 captains on the park for Rangers. People need to step up to the plate this season.

15 Jun 2020 16:58:12
If hearts do not stay relegated there must be an investigation to why celtic can have a title and bottom do not get relegated simple.

15 Jun 2020 17:28:32
Hearts legal challenge underway. This will be interesting.

15 Jun 2020 17:31:15
rfc we signed same document as every team saying the season can't be completed and celtic to be champions all we had to do was refuse it but we didn't by refusing it we wouldn't reconise there title ball was in our court and we passedit back am afraid.

15 Jun 2020 18:28:22
Blue bear rangers and hearts did not vote, they abstained did they not.

15 Jun 2020 18:40:14
bbb - that does not make it right and it most certainly does not make it legal.

15 Jun 2020 20:18:15
Baz. I like Tav and some aspects of his game are excellent - going forward. However, for me, a captain should drive the team forward and when things are not going our way or players not at their best he stands up and leads by example. That’s what I expect of a captain. i'm not convinced that is what Tav brings to the team.

15 Jun 2020 21:28:19
If Hearts legal bid is successful then how can the SPFL board survive.? Does this mean the season will be voided? I think Hearts have a case and probably so do Partick and Stranraer .

15 Jun 2020 14:36:13
I see Brown has made times all time spfl greatest 11. Saying better than ferguson, embarrassing. How many other truly class midfielders could they have picked. Malpas better than Numan, mmm. Mclies (friend) better than Gough/ butcher?, and it's not even finished yet!

15 Jun 2020 15:34:22
A hero of mine Bomber and goodness we could do with now✌️🇬🇧.

15 Jun 2020 17:23:51
Yately01, Bomber is my favourite Rangers player. If only, we could find another gem like him.

15 Jun 2020 18:45:27
Our team crying out for a bomber right now!

15 Jun 2020 18:55:59
No biased whatsoever, but there's not a shred of doubt about it that scott brown is absolutely nowhere near in the same class as barry ferguson! I know honest celtic fans who admit this.

15 Jun 2020 20:08:29
You are kidding! They didn't put peanut in before Ferguson? Surely not! I remember peanut quiet as a mouse and played off the park by Fergie every OF match. Absolute joke!

15 Jun 2020 14:25:37
Any of the guys on here have any idea when the new strips will be released? The mrs has asked what I would like for Father’s Day from my kids and was thinking about telling her to hold off until the strips are out (Really like the black and orange concept) failing that I guess it will just be the usual bottle of aftershave and I could maybe suggest an I. O. U for in the bedroom 🤣.
