15 Dec 2018 23:23:40
Steven Dobie has scored 3 more goals than shankland this season so far. Shankland has 3 more league goals however.

15 Dec 2018 21:59:51
Ejaria loan deal terminated and he has now returned to Liverpool. Whatever the reason it's a shame it didn't work out as imo it doesn't look great on us.

15 Dec 2018 23:05:13
why would it not look great on us? its him that bottled it, if anything it will make clubs question whether they want to take him on in my opinion.

16 Dec 2018 03:00:02
He left because he couldn’t hack the game up here but he probably won’t be short on offers from clubs in the championship. I wish him all the best for the future 👍🏻🇬🇧.

16 Dec 2018 12:10:23
Snell. you think liverpool wil be willing to loan us any more young players when we can't toughen up one of there hopefulls.
After all that's what they are sent on loan for.
Dont you think other clubs who are asked about loanees will take notice that two young guys have been sent back to their clubs early and their cofidence in ruins.
Dosnt look good for rangers coaching system.

16 Dec 2018 12:31:25
one (sadiq) was not good enough and the other (ejaria) didn't have the bottle. How could we have coached more out of either situation? you can't toughen up someone that doesn't have the will or self drive. let ejaria go to some obscure mid table english side, his loss not ours.

16 Dec 2018 12:36:10
Bluebrother it is not for us to toughen up their players. The player needs to want to toughen up.
Also I believe we have been kind to lad as I hear, attitude stank, regular run ins with McAllister, late at least once a week, never wanted to stay back and do extra work.
Unlike guys like Tav, goldston, Katic mccrories middleton Morelos.

15 Dec 2018 21:18:47
Who on here does not want Shankland to sign for us? Please give your reasons and we can debate it but for me he's the next Boyd.

15 Dec 2018 22:33:43
I think we should just down to the fact he will be cheap and so will wages and with the amount of goals he has scored think it’s worth the gamble as he could be another kris Boyd but then again could be another Nicky Clark but definitely worth taking a chance on for me.

15 Dec 2018 23:15:19
Can he prove it in a league up? What about Dobie? He's smashing them in too?

16 Dec 2018 08:07:35
Deanobear is spot on. Shankland will either be another KB or turn out to be another NC who had a great strike rate on lower leagues but couldn’t hack it up. As for Dobie, is he 35 so not one for the future. If anyone needs cheering up, do to Dobbie’s Wikipedia page. Worth a laugh.

16 Dec 2018 08:36:23
Worth a punt on Shankland. Hardie scored 2 for Livingston against Hearts on Friday night. Seems everyone we let go scores for other clubs!

16 Dec 2018 10:50:47
Defo worth a punt. Boy's taken a few knocks along the way and came back stronger. Always a good sign of his character.

16 Dec 2018 12:16:36
Jyf. Never mind Boyd We need a McCoist at least he could score against Them.

16 Dec 2018 12:38:55
Jyf I don't want him, we need better to win league. For the life of me why we would sign anyone and lend him straight back.
Everyone says we need a striker, agreed so why lend him back.
That would suggest to me management don't think he is good enough for first team.

15 Dec 2018 20:08:31
Liverpool official posted that's ejaria is to return to Liverpool with immediate effect. Good riddance IMO. Guy had ability but wasn't putting 100% in for me. Downed tools as soon as things got tough.

15 Dec 2018 21:08:18
Absolute blouse. Any GOOD player can play in ANY league.
Off you feck and see how your career blossoms after showing your defeatist attitude.

15 Dec 2018 21:36:43
Lets not slag our own, it did not work, least we could send him back.

15 Dec 2018 23:15:56
That's just it Jboy, he's not our own.

15 Dec 2018 23:16:21
he isn't one of our own - he is one of Liverpools. Also a bottle merchant at that.

15 Dec 2018 23:33:59
Wish ejaria all the best, didn't work out. I do think he's a young player with talent and hopefully he will learn to use it and have a good career.

16 Dec 2018 08:08:46
They’ll be no hiding place for him at Liverpool either. He’ll be shipped out on loan to lower leagues down south and hat will be the story of his career.

16 Dec 2018 10:55:57
The guy showed glimpses of quality along the way. I suppose that's the loan system in a nutshell, pros and cons.

16 Dec 2018 12:39:37
He is one of ours when he puts the jersey on.

15 Dec 2018 19:06:01
Young lad mebude signs deal till 2021.

15 Dec 2018 19:15:58
Great news. The youth set up does look very good just now. It seems to have been a while since we had a kid come through and have a prolonged run in the team over a few seasons. This bunch seem very capable of producing the next Barry Ferguson or Allan McGregor.

15 Dec 2018 19:38:21
Kelly the best by far.

15 Dec 2018 23:11:11
Good news, hopefully see him scoring soon in the first team, agree RE Kelly, hopefully can fill out a bit physically and get in the team!

15 Dec 2018 23:36:16
Do you see much of youths games jboy? I've seen a couple and Kelly was good but thought mcpake was good.

16 Dec 2018 00:56:31
Different ball game barjo was a stick out in that team now struggling out on loan.

16 Dec 2018 10:51:49
Bathgate see most of home games, wish Kelly would stretch, seen his dad at games he is tall so maybe lad has growing to do.

15 Dec 2018 17:20:34
Ejaria on his way back to Liverpool all the best just simply wasn't good enough and said that weeks ago on here and got absolute dogs abuse for it. Sadiq away as well hopefully these two will be replaced with solanke and Davis and another 2 or 3 coming in because we will need it.

15 Dec 2018 17:39:29
JGG players need to head out, king said we have way too many players on wage bill.
I'd hope we could do something with two Mexicans, at least one keeper, Wallace, dodoo, holt, two u name of wage bill. Mb sell Tav if 4m plus offer
Would not sell Morelos, grezda etc in this window.

15 Dec 2018 18:15:01
Would send worral back as well and replace him with a quality centrehalf and stick with the same centrehalf pairing for the rest of season. Goldson and hopefully the greek defender from Athens. WAllace is by and dodoo, holt the two Mexicans are simply not good enough need to cut our losses with them.

15 Dec 2018 18:55:41
Agree jgg. I don't see all the hype in worrall. Ejaria had more dig.

15 Dec 2018 19:09:24
Thats our famous no.9 and no.10 rangers shirts up for grabs, with sadiq and ejaria now away from rangers. The question now, is what 2 new players will be given these 2 famous jerseys! I'm saying steven davis and dominic solanke/ fran sol,
to fill these shirts.

15 Dec 2018 20:15:22
Possibly Dowell from Everton for the number 10 and solanke for 9. Wishful thinking lol.

15 Dec 2018 22:01:57
Davis and dowell but not sure on ST. Definitely won't be Solanke though, think it will be someone we haven't been linked with.

15 Dec 2018 16:16:23
Just seen Squad for the Hamilton game.
Obviously fredo is suspended but only striker listed is Lafferty.
Surely young Dallas merits at least a place on the bench in a home game?

Red card or injury to lafferty means no striker. No matter his age, Dallas knows where the goal is which is more than can be said for using a midfielder.

15 Dec 2018 17:20:23
Thinking the same slim Jim Flanagan, Halliday mccrorie and four centre halfs for Hamilton, c'mon Stevie G.

15 Dec 2018 21:14:30
Im sorry but the manager is making far to many mistakes for my liking
how many of our loan players are performing for him? Ejaria leaving is an embarrassment to gerrard unless he comes out and says he told him to go. Sign players that we can afford like Shankland before we loan players like solanke and stand on our own two feet. The loanees are not giving us 100%.

16 Dec 2018 11:10:11
My thoughts too Jboy. Not saying that young Dallas is the answer but surely someone that KNOWS where the goal is should at least be on the bench just in case, rather than all those defenders in a home game against Hamilton.

15 Dec 2018 15:31:34
Stevie G must get Shankland signed up in Jan! It's a no brainier .

15 Dec 2018 15:58:52
I agree scotty 123!Theres a lot of clubs now in the queue, wanting to sign shankland! He's already scored another 2 for ayr utd against ross county, today! We can't pass up this chance to sign a striker as prolific as him. We must take the chance, as he could be the next massive striker to come out of scotland! I do know also that he could be the next nicky clark, but we can't take the chance, as he could end up amazing with us! Its a no risk signing in my eyes and it is a no brainer! We would have the advantage, as shankland is a massive rangers supporter! We just have to sign him, stevie G, "lets go"!

15 Dec 2018 16:06:21
My grandson has just scored his 54 th goal today mayb SG should sign him.
This guy is ok at his level, I believe deal already agreed for him to go to Swansea then loans back.

15 Dec 2018 16:55:54
Don’t see Shankland as being good enough for us. Would say that both Ryan Hardie and Joe Dodoo are better options and we have both out on loan.

15 Dec 2018 17:18:06
Who does your grandson play with Jboy?

15 Dec 2018 17:21:10
Dodoo no way, interesting see how many hardie can get before end of season.

15 Dec 2018 17:41:42
Scotty 123, his school, twelve years old. 54 in about twenty games . Also plays with a championship club. At under 14.

15 Dec 2018 17:59:44
"next massive striker to come out of Scotland" go and remind me please Coop, who actually was the last one? 🤔😂.

15 Dec 2018 18:12:54
Jeff Stelling saying today Rangers and Sunderland interested in young Shankland.

15 Dec 2018 18:24:03
surely shankland is worth a punt doesn't matter what level he's playing at if he finds the net consistanly enough as he does then he's worth a punt the boy is breaking scoring records in that league and is a bear and is young with plenty of sell on value if we get him no brainer.

15 Dec 2018 18:24:30
i think we just have to trust gerrard allen and our scouts on shankland guys

i don’t know if the lad could cut it at the top level with us his strike rate is superb but so was nicky clarke down the leagues - it’s a gamble but he might just be worth a punt

i know many wld disagree but i hope hardie gets his chance at least in squad he’s scored goals everywhere he’s been including 2 vs jambos the other night.

15 Dec 2018 18:57:27
Alex Rae saying today shankland already agreed deal with Swansea, then loan back.
He trained with them before he signed deal at Ayr.

15 Dec 2018 18:59:07
Trev I just feel he has ran out of time, let's be honest not better than Morelos or lafferty, however could be useful back up.
The lad will go on to play for Scotland.

15 Dec 2018 19:00:30
The ayr players seem to think Shankland will be at rangers next season. Buy and loan back in January I was told on friday.

15 Dec 2018 19:40:37
Fb it only gets worse, we need a striker, so we buy one we can get for nothing in June, then lend him back.
Thank goodness Mark Allen not that daft.

16 Dec 2018 00:28:20
My pal plays with ayr, says whoever sign Shankland it will be a loan back till end of season or no Deal. We could chance a precontract but I think it would be worth a punt for 3 or 400 grand. Pretty sure any striker we get in jan will be a loan so doing the same with Shankland is hardly daft mate.

15 Dec 2018 15:28:54
Shankland definitely worth a gamble another 2 goals already only 30mins into match?

15 Dec 2018 15:28:07
Docherty again get him back.

15 Dec 2018 16:07:07
I feel Docherty would benefit for full season on loan.

15 Dec 2018 17:02:29
Jboy21. I agree. Another 24 games down south will complete his education and he can be outstanding for is next season To bring him back now and use as a squad player makes no sense. The boy is scoring down there and has great momentum going.

15 Dec 2018 17:21:45
Totally agree bankie, I really like this lad.

15 Dec 2018 15:08:05
Defo need to get docherty back just scored again today 7 goals 4 assists we could do with him right now.

15 Dec 2018 14:32:02
Ryan Hardie, 3 goals in 2 games for Livingstone since returning from injury. Let's bring the boy back in January. Contract expires in June and will not sign another unless in Gers first team squad.

15 Dec 2018 16:07:54
Bankie how do you know he won't sign a deal. He did in May.

15 Dec 2018 16:40:56
Jboy21, the lad is almost 22 now, has been with us since he was a kid, has consistently scored wherever we have sent him on loan, and is no longer eligible for Scotland U21s. He now needs a proper first team squad contract or he moves. Some similarities with position the ginger Ramos was in last season and we missed out badly there.

15 Dec 2018 17:23:45
Not quite, I'm a friend of family. If we don't keep him there is a queue to sign him, at least five top league teams, livi, hibs, killie, Hamilton Dundee. Miller really rates the lad.

15 Dec 2018 18:31:15
Then you probably know he will not agree another 12 month holding deal. If he leaves believe will sign for Hearts or Aberdeen.

15 Dec 2018 19:01:40
He is desperate to be in our squad match day. But we need to offer him a deal, I would gamble if he scores about twelve at livi.

15 Dec 2018 13:25:33
Maybe the rumours about Morrison would mean tav going the other way?

15 Dec 2018 15:29:04
Just watching Sky Sports and Shankland just scored, the commentator said, the lad Shankland who is interesting Rangers scored.

15 Dec 2018 13:12:51
Like others have already said, the January window will be interesting. The SD thing is all very well, but I worry for the long term. We have a lot of first team loanees and adding players who are nearing the end of their playing days just means continual anual squad upheaval.
For the sake of argument, who do you reckon could fill the no:10 spot for us, that is affordable, not with us at the moment and would have a long term future?

15 Dec 2018 10:09:16
Can anyone shed light on Dorrans? Could he be the creative spark we’re looking for?

15 Dec 2018 11:01:15
Dorrans is still injured and he most definitely would have been the creative spark if played at no10. Jamie Murphy is also a massive miss creativity and goals wise coming in from the left.

15 Dec 2018 12:20:34
Murphy is a big loss, was just looking through our squad and forgot we had signed Dorrans! When is he due back?

14 Dec 2018 23:09:17
Can I just say I'm gutted were out of Europe. But we had a great run and that great run got our expectations up so high we thought we deserved to go to the next round. We didn't! . We lost. Moscow away is what got us. Let's just get off Gerrard's back and see how it goes. We are on the up and that's what matters.

15 Dec 2018 08:55:31
Spot on mate.

15 Dec 2018 14:36:49
Good post fellow. We should definitely take stake of where we are and where we have been. This transfer window will be critical for any change of a challenging. Davis would be a good short term addition.

He is a class player and is a Rangers man to the core. Let’s be positive we are only a win or two from top spot. if we can pick up the home from again we won’t be far away in May.
