It, s amazing that Rangers play less than 5%of their games in europe and have been fined 5 times . yet playing 95% of their games in scotland and have never been fined once by the S.F.A in 120 years

Funnily enough UEFA and the SFA have ignored what the Celtic fans have been getting up to.

To Blue genius and Sickbhoy, you both are a dying breed unfortunatly, real fans of football, these pages have been rife of nothing but bigotry and hatred. . can we please all just get along with the football here! ! its about we hate you and you hate us, but neither the twain. lets all just have a laugh, slag one another and be done with it. . .please! !
BHRYDO BHOY

Sadly a true fact we are a dying breed, but we can still post opinions and have some decent slagging and banter as the eds don't post stuff like you see on other sites.

I am fiercely proud of my club and like to consider us the good guys! Lets be that!

Bluegenius!

I am also fiercely proud of my club too, and we have a lot of decent and good guys too, I like your attitude mate, if only others could see it so. I enjoy the banter and slagging but at 36yrs old I am not interested in the bile. My political and religious views are personal and have nothing to do with football. I have said before, the only song that bothers me is the famine song, apartf from that it is really 90 mins of ripping the pish out of each other, after that I have a life to lead, although Celtic are a big part of it, it does not make me a bigot.

To blue genius,

I agree with you bud, half of the people who sing these songs don't know what they mean. I'm 30 years old and have been a gers fan all my life, these song are going to ruin our club. CAN WE NOT CHANGE THE WORDS LOL !

"As for that unwanted element! We should look after ourselves (self-policed if you will) Every man that wears the Jersey (fan or player) represents the club. You know yourself when you see the bam on the bus or the steamer making people nervous and stumbling around wearing your colours(happens to all clubs) or singing your songs it is an embarassment. We sing as one and we act as one. If asmall element act up - The majority stand them down.

The problem is Bluegenius, that it is the MAJORITY that sing sectarian songs at Ibrox and nobody stands them down - most join in.

RE:
Bluegenius, i agree with your post to a certain extent. The fans do have to be careful as it is costing us money and the last thing we want is to be banned from our own ground, however, there was absolutely no sectarian singing at Ibrox in the 2nd leg and as far as i could hear, and from people who i have spoken to who where in Eindhoven, there was no sectarian singing there either. The UEFA delegate at the both matches praised Rangers fans for there behaviour and felt no need to file a report yet the delegate from FARE feels the need to make a report. Obviously absolutely coincidence that FARE are run by a Celtic supporting family and that had we got through the PSV game without any incidents we would have been absolved from the warning we received a few years ago. Total coincidence? I think not! Im assuming that FARE are also looking into Sectarian and Political singing at certain other grounds or are they happy to glorify terror organisations, abuse British war heroes and call the Rangers manager a "sad orange b**tard"?

I know mate but it does happen! We cannot say we're not guilty because it didn't happen that day! Message is simple - If we don't do it we won't face punishment for it!

As for policing yes I can see that this would be an issue but if we are 100'000 deep then we could not be moved!

"The deal is taking longer because Craig whyte is trying to get Rangers for the cheapest price possible! This will benefit Rangers and Mccoist and Co as it will give them even more transfer money to play with in the summer. Chill rangers fans as this time next week we will be millionaires and septic will only be able to look on jealously. .

SFA Mason"

Agree and disagree with you SFA Mason. Agree that Whyte will be trying to buy Rangers for as cheap as possible and negotiating the best deal he can with Lloyds. He will not want to pay the circa £21m, but a lot less than that.

However, this does not mean that any discount he gets on the purchase price will be used to purchase players, renew contacts, etc. Whyte is a businessman. What he saves on the purchase price is what he saves, full stop. It will not be used to buy players, etc. with.

I note the Rangers Supporters Trust are getting closer to admitting the extent of sectarian singing by Rangers fans, now that meaningful sanctions are facing the club. This is positive, but disappointing that it took UEFA charges to make this happen.

But what the RST and other bodies need to do, is admit the problem and get their house in order, full stop. They currently have to keep tagging the bit on the end about what other fans do. Stop this, just admit the problem and deal with it and forget about other fans.

What other fans do or do not sing will not open the doors at Ibrox if Rangers are forced to play behind closed doors.

And looking further ahead, if the sectarian singing does not stop NOW, what will happen the next time. It's pretty obvious, Rangers will be banned from playing in Europe altogether, maybe for one season, but could be longer.

Agree with the majority of your post. Although well intended, I think 100,000 outside Ibrox would be a recipe for disaster. An element would undoubtedly turn up that would cause more problems in the long run.

Good to see the decent Rangers fans seeing the bigger picture. Good idea about standing outside, but how would Strathclyde Police take to that idea, but some very good points mate.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

I'd imagine they, d just treat it like a normal midweek game in regards to officers at the game.

didn't inter milan or AC have there fans banned from a number of home euro games, I am sure there were thousands outside the stadium those euro nights aswell.

In terms of this Organisation who have supposedly 'grassed the "bigots" up', where were they when the Barca Fans threw practically a Kiosk at Real Madrid and a pigs head at Figo? (Oh but we can't ban 100'000 catalins from the Nou Camp), or where were they when Heskey, and co were getting Monkey chants aimed at them from the Spanish National fans? (But its okay, because they were euro and now world champs) or what about the racial abuse that Diouff got from some muppet in the Celtic Crowd.

I won't try an make excuses up for the rangers fans who sang these songs, but these external organisations cannot see this for what it is, for the 90 minutes. Rangers and Celtic fans work and live with each other, on a daily basis, the banter is a daily thing. I think we should ask the police to provide stats on violent crime and see how many of these crimes are down to Bigotry, racism or sectarianism, I'll guarentee you in would be such a tiny percentage compared to those fuelled by, drugs, alcohol, or gang culture in Glasgow.
This "Charity" doesn't understand Glasgow socially either. My fiance is Catholic as is her family, I don't run round their house and belt out the sash to wind them up, and they don't scream the soldiers song or whatever to me, in fact we get on rather well. As do I with the 4 Celtic fans in my band, including my best mate and eldest Daughters Godfather, we do rib each other when the teams win, I have never "phoned the polis" or a "Charity" when my mate called Rangers Jammy Orange B'stards when Loovens scored into his own net. (mmmmm Orange Jam, mmm) I don't believe them to be just the Decent ones, as I find it hard to think of anyone on either side of the fence that are truely bigoted (by its proper Definition - and not just for a couple of songs at a football match)

Celtic fans cannot honestly take offence to the songs that Rangers fans sing, when they give just as good as they get and fair play to them.

The world is f***ed when real racism and persicution is going on, murders are being committed on the basis of Colour and Creed in countries all over the world and nothing is being done about that (unless there are a few billion quid worth of oil lines at stake), yet a few songs get heard by the Mary Whitehouse of Modern Day Football, and 50'000 good fans are punished. Songs don't kill people, We don't hate Catholics, We don't hate the Irish, we still watch Father Ted and Mrs Brown's Boys with no ill feeling.

Rant over

Have a good weekend, Mon the gers

If 100,000 gers fans turned up outside the stadium i can't see what the police could do? that would be something tho, would be iconic (if you could call it that!) . . .

lol u think if the fans sung banned songs they would still get charged for it ???

Right it is very clear that FARE are the wee kid in the class who will look for things to grass in to the teacher but the fact remains if you are doing nothing wrong you can't be punished. We also can't use the "everybody else is doing it defence" because that doesn't matter.

I have in the past been known as a 90 minute bigot! I did however stop this and we all NEED to if we truly love our team. I don't love the queen, I don't love King Billy, couldnt care less about Ireland but I love Rangers! I also don't care who owns them or how much money they have!

ITS TIME FOR CHANGE!

I put a suggestion to all like minded fans. If we get banned from europe for 2 games this means we can't have Forty Thousands in the stadium. Lets have 100,000 outside singing (the right songs). Radio's in hand to keep up to date. Lets be heard even if we can't be seen. Lets have no trouble and everyone behave in a way that shows wee're proud of our team and the jersey!

Thoughts?

Great idea, and there is very little Strathclyde police can do to stop it.

Its big Yeven Khacheridi that we should try and get from Dynamo Kiev, the Ukrainian international centre half.He is 6 feet 6 and is 23.And his contract is up at the end of the year.We could get him on a bosman. He could be just what we need to replace Weir and Bougerra. He looks like he has a bit of a temper on him though. From what I watched of him tonight. But he looks a right good defender.Solid as a rock who could handle the SPL easily. In fact our game would suite his style if anything. As Captain Picaird says.Make it so
