I read there were 1700 fans at the Dumbarton/Hearts match yesterday. No news or anything but would be headline stuff if it were us. The question is how do they survive when our "paltry" 31000 at Ibrox isn't enough for us to get by on?

The answer has to be to cut overheads, reign in directors' and managements' salaries, live within our means. You'd think Hearts wouldn't be able to live with Rangers on their wage base and yet some are tipping them to win the league. I'd like to see a decent Board as much as the next guy but reading in the DR today to starve the club into administration isn't a route I want to go. I reckon I'd chuck it in and go full time Chelsea fan then!

{Ed039's Note - The game as at Dumbarton who have a capacity of 2000 before segregation so pretty good crowd, judge Hearts of their home attendancies KF

Chuck it and become a Chelsea fan! WOW that pritty much sums you up then mate as I could never do anything like that. And why you talking about Hearts attendance away from home what's that got to do with anything?

@1, well let me put it as simply as possible. Based on our attendances which are vastly superior to those of our opponents, we should not be in a position where our outlays are greater than our income. Our fan base gives us a great advantage and yet we're the only club in our league struggling to stay afloat.

That is what happens when you bring in players on stupid money for playing lower league football because of the fear to play the youth. The club is skint because they think they are an SPL club while on the income of a lower league club, simple economics, don't spend what you don't have.

The reason the club are skint is because we are being run by a board that are not fit for purpose. Our wage bill is 6 million and we had 70 million in the bank 2 and a half years ago. Explian that one

Allymac i ain't the wage bill that's the problem its the non playing board members getting double bubble for everything the team does plus the massive pay offs when they leave the club bunch of greedy barstewds ide line them up against a wall

What's all the fuss surrounding Fraser Airds comments on twitter, I thought we lived in a democracy where freedom of speech was a given, did millions sacrifice there lives in two world wars for such a privilege only to be told by the looney politically correct party which molly coddles the UK That is not the case, from what I read in the boys tweet there was nothing racist or malicious just home truths he may even have been counting himself in the immigrant comment, there have been players at other clubs with views and affiliations to far more sinister things that pick hardly any media coverage. Give the boy a break.

Probably something to do with the colour of jersey he wears, how's that for democracy?

Absolutely Soton Bear. A lot of easily offended people desperate to get involved in PC witch hunts nowadays.

Cromjo. surprised you can walk with that chip on your shoulder, grow up. Not everything in this world is decreed by the team you support, your religion, colour of your skin. jeez, dark ages or what.
