I have to say, credit to ol coop who could have been on about dykes and I’m not saying he has been brilliant, but it’s obvious what coop was on about, albeit 50 times a day, he is a handful and maybe was worth a punt, wasn’t my choice but I understand what coop was talking about, which is unusual.

We definitely missed out here. Not a player I paid attention too when he played up here but watching him for Scotland he has done very well since coming into the team and definitely would have been a good option for us

The signing policy is quite worrying at ibrox, I’m not against young mcrorie going, but to them, and at that price, with a free year too. Shocking, absolutely shocking and the directors should have stepped in and told sg of Aberdeen’s hatred of Rangers and that we shouldn’t be helping them in any way, shape or form, yes, absolutely shocking decision.

I agree that big Dykes has done well for Scotland. i'm not sure if we can say we've missed out yet as we haven't seen enough of Itten. Itten might be better than Dykes. I like what I have seen so far. If Dykes had come to Rangers would he have played any more than Itten has? Again, i'm not sure. Fair play to big Dykes and good luck to him👍.

I’ve no idea if that’s true trev, and I’m certainly not going to say your telling lies, so il take your word for it, so that’s a shame imo simply because he was not a major risk, and would without doubt have been a serious weapon against certain clubs, itten comes with far more pressure and Roofe is just a risky business altogether, I do worry about Steve and his back room team.

I wanted us to sign Dykes and when you compare him for 2mil and whatever we paid for Roofe then in my mind it's madness. Dykes is young strong big and powerful and a handful. Roofe was well known to be injury prone yet a team of professionals chose to sign him. I hope Roofe and Itten can stay fit and show why both were signed but it's not been a great start for either fitness wise.

Fair play to the boy, he certainly hadn't looked out of place stepping up a level for international football. I was sceltical as to whether he could make the step up from Livi to the Gers, but I suppose we only have to look at Boyd and Novo as two fairly recentish examples that it can be done. Wish the lad well but still not losing any sleep over not bringing him in.

Yeh, Gerrard and co know more about football - let's see how many times the injury prone Roofe is in the treatment room. I don't think he's built for Scottish football, every wee knock and tumble and that'll be him injured again. Morelos however is the opposite, he gets kicked from pillar to post, he's pretty hardy.

How does Gerard know more about football than everyone in here? I know loads about football. Because he played it doesn't make him a mastermind. Look at ex jockeys for example. AP McCoy and Ruby Walsh. Best jump riders if a generation however every Cheltenham festival I pick more winners than them. I bet if you have never and Gerard 10 fixtures to guess results. But anyway it’s not just down to goals per game Gerrard, Wilson and co look into so many variables when it comes to signing players it would make our heads spin, I trust that Itten will be a better player than dykes but only time will tell🔵⚪️🔴.

HIGHLAND BEAR: I have played, watched, analyzed football for the last 25 years or so. So there is my experience. I am not saying I was better than Gerard as a player as I never played midfield so we will never know that. But as a striker I was probably better than him because he had no experience playing there. Also all my pals at the pub tell me I have some football brain. So I am sure I am certainly qualified.

Defender - Gough - No nonsense and always up for the battle. Greatest leader we've had during my generation.

Midfielder - Albertz - Always great against Celtic and obviously his shooting from range was the best I have ever seen. that's something I think our current team lacks.

Attacker - Super Ally - Simple, guaranteed a goal against them.

Can anyone remember the Mcadam bros Colin played up front for us Tom played centre half for them, they had a few tussles when the old firm met.
Brotherly love went right out the window. colin (the beast) could also play at the back.
Colin died aged only 61 after brain haemorrhage seven years ago.
Can't think of any other bros who played for different old firm teams.
There was twins in my class at secondary school one Rangers one celtic. But they couldn't kick a ball to save themselves.

I honestly think they are there for the taking on Saturday. I would be happy with 2-1, to us. However with a bit of pressure on our team and IF they win. Gerard must walk. That's potentially 5 points behind already and they have not been playing well at all. If we lose on Saturday I think we will be the usual 15-20 point behind at season end and that's simply not good enough. The players need to respond to pressure now. Get the win and have a 2 point cushion even if they win their game in hand. Anything other than a win for us must be a disaster.
