Dont want to go on about it so last post from me. If the home nations rule was scrapped who would get into the England team right now from the EPL. Most if not all elite players they would want are already internationals elsewhere, the advantage is definitely with England. Wales, Scotland and NI could attract good players on long term contracts if we had routes to international football making our leagues and national teams better which would be increased competition for EPL and England - no wonder they wanted the deal. Deep down I think the Sco team should be made up of Scots but if you cannot beat them (which we can't most of the time) then join them. Have a great evening folks. Cheers🍺🍺.

Well we have beaten them many times before and may well do so again, do we want to go to Wembley playing England with a team full of England, not me, it takes away the very soul of the national team but that's just my opinion.

Costa played for Spain upfront was Brazilian.
That’s just one of the top of my head but it’s happened a few times.

The Irish have had umpteen Englishman it was actually embarrassing at the 94 World Cup. Anyway. Diego Costa for Spain. Deco for Portugal Jorginho for Italy zidane was Algerian for France i don’t want to keep on about it but the players of African and West Indian descent playing for France Belgium England Holland. Russia played a brazilian at right back. But Scotland can’t play an Englishman at right back? Geez peace man. Just heard on the radio Roy airmen’s father was Jamaican? Thought I’d add that in. Difference between pretty much every example above was that they moved to the country they represented when they were young children and grew up there and/ or had parents from there rather than moved as an adult for a job.

Didn't realise the home nations rule, every days a school day. Get it scrapped, would benefit us more than England IMO. Plenty of players out there to fill all squads no bother. Tav, Kent, Roofe and Goldson will never play for England if they remain in Scotland, all 4 would improve the Scotland team.

Never read that whole post I wanted to apologise 1st if u go back I didn’t say roofe or Kent to play for Scotland in fact I’ve not said Kent’s name in days. Roofe somebody said had agreed to play for Jamaica and I said on yerself basically.

What I meant and don’t know how u mixes me up in what I said is if I wanted to play for a country and was legally eligible and the manager wanted me but some stupid out dated “agreement” was stopping that then I would take that to court and challenge the agreement even if never picked to play similar to Jean Marc Bosman it may not benefit me but brings to an end a terrible and outdated rule (agreement)

In a back 4 or as a right wing back it would be very close between the 2 they both offer so much to the team. I rate both very very highly. Clarke has made it clear he’s playing 3 at the back with wing backs. And that fits tierney and Robertson perfectly. It gets mctominay and jack both into the team. And if u can add tav to that then your looking at a really good 11.

Not necessarily KJ mctominay could play centre back with tierney in a 4 no problem. He’s played cb for Man Utd so can do it for us mate. But my point was we aren’t overly blessed with top players so to fit them all in the team. The back 3 kinda helps. Gets the 2 left backs in without affecting balance. Gets mctominay and jack in the team without losing McGregor. The team kinda picks itself. Only question would be Christie or Armstrong even Fraser and Forrest prob struggle to get in the 11 we have a good team. Be prob our weakness although the boy O’Donnell has done fine. So has Gallagher but I’d like tav at right back and centre half worries me.
