Interesting.... OP - please dont start on about ''our crowd is bigger than your crowd'' again, we have done that to a standstill FS, its normal for a drop in attendance at the early rounds of domestic cup games

JG

How early in the cup games do we normally expect low attendances JG??

Let me remind you JG, since you seem to be the font of all knowledge!

5 oct 2012 rangers v Dundee utd 5th round Scottish cup game...ATT 17822!

Is this round to early?... Please let me know, because you know everything about everything whether its shares, strips or general BS. So I welcome your reply 'font'

Briggs

Believable9 Unbelievable14

It takes one to know one Briggs. Clearly you are the true 'font'. ;-)

Brian

I was aware the the Rangers Trust was advertising £125 for fellow fans to buy up loads of communal shares. My intention though was to buy one for myself (£500) and was quite happy to do so.

I've since had an email from "www.buyrangers.org" also offering fans to purchase £125 towards a share. Can anyone advise who this group are (RFC?) - assuming they are not the Rangers Trust - getting a bit confused as I thought it had to be £500 or paying the £125 to the trust as the only alternative.

Would appreciate any clarification - Thanks.

Believable11 Unbelievable4

Not exactly sure about the trust set up,but it sounds like these are the secondary common shares at £125 as mentioned in the prospectus. £500 first then these ones afterwards.
P.O.B.

7 3

So does that mean rangers still have there history and can add to it

SM

6 14

Are these shares the historical shares that were framed and on people's walls for decades? Or are these new ones that can be framed and hung next to the old ones?

6 5

So the euro club association has granted rangers associate membership and has recognised that their history remains.

Believable31 Unbelievable21

The honours were bought i.e the contents in the blue room.building and contents {The Ed039's Note - The goodwill was bought)

21 9

Yes, as a founding member RFC have been granted associate membership and the history remains.
Surprised you haven't had the no its no! brigade on but they are prob googling European Club Association right now.
Under a Memorandum of Understanding signed by UEFA in 2008, the ECA would be recognized as the sole body representing the interests of clubs at European level.

19 17

Good to see someone with common sense.

11 9

How can a company that ripped of hmrc out of 14 million and millions more from creditors such as 20 million from ticketus and other small businesses even claim to posses " GOODWILL" {The Ed039's Note - Maybe you should try researching what purchasing "goodwill" means before slating it)

13 17

History is still there i went into superstore at ibrox this afternoon and bought my founding fathers top THE LEGENDS hurry along fellow bears and visit the store as there is a good sale on ,open to all other supporters too as some of them that are never off of here are halfway there already lol doug t.s.o

14 13

No 4 ,what have you to say about hmrc come come now a statement would be appreciated about how hmrc have ripped us all off for years or maybe your 1 of their employees ,not much chance of you losing your job like a lot of unfortunate people have doug t.s.o

11 8

OP - well isnt that a turn up for the books, i think i have been trying to explain why until i was blue in the nose

JG

Just found out this news here. Went straight to the relevant articles to confirm. This has to be the best news for a long time. Another point of ridicule done and dusted after the tax ruling. Merry Christmas bears :) CheltBlue

11 11

An independent body - one independent of UEFA. Ergo, not UEFA.

11 5

If the opposite had happened, would you all have rejected it as nonsense from a body which didn't know what it was talking about?

10 5

Wot you talkin about.? Eca is a private members club it has no legitimate power. It's proclamations ain't legal. It means nothing .support your team but face facts and move on .rangers went bust. You have started a new team best of luck with it .it is really demeaning to the memory of your club to have supporters on here trying to defend the indefensible. It's only football but the truth is the truth. If it had happened to celtic or man utd you wouldn't be agreeing to such fatuous arguments. Accept and move on.all your doing is condoning business men getting rich off your love of your club. Mon the old firm!!!

15 11

Another jump the gun and let your mouth rumble a lot of sh*te moment from the blue hordes. EURO CLUB ASSOCIATION ARE NOT REPRESENT UEFA OR FIFA! FACT!!!!

AND TO SAY THEY REPRESENT THEM IS ANOTHER STRAW CLUTCHING EFFORT.

12 10

Still an official body that is recognised by UEFA. Think I'll take their word for it over any Timothy's (the legal brains that they are!) just think when we get back to the SPL we will still have won more titles than you lot. HMRC result...oops 1-0 Rangers favour. ECA ruling...oops 2-0 Rangers favour. One of these days eh!

10 11

Rangers are an honorary member due to david murrays involvement in founding the organisation.which is why a couple of old guys found the need to vote in favour of a goodwill gesture.

11 6

@13) Of course you would take they're word for it! You believe everything big Chico thinks so do you honestly think I'm surprised by your stance? I'm giving you the facts bud, I know at the end of the day you are only gonna believe what you want or who is saying the things you want to hear.

Listen you mut realise that no matter how many straws you clutch at or how much evidence you bring to the table Celtic
Fans will never ever let you forget Rangers were liquidated. Mate it's the name of the game, you will never let the Big Jock patter go and we will never let this go. But honestly the evidence is stacked in our favour on this one, it's about sentiment and legacy vs plain facts.

9 7

Charles Green's sevco5088 Rangers is not the founding Rangers that's erroneous. Rangers founded in 1872 and forced to incorporate in 1899 to achieve association club status is being liquidated. That is the ECU founding club not this SEVCO rangers founded 2012 club.
Green petitioned ECU with knowingly misleading statements without challenge. When ECU get put right on the legal status of new Rangers, ECU will change its wording.

9 8

@15&16 of course your right you lot always are. Never wrong. Yawn yawn. Just cos you put fact in your post does not actually mean it is a fact I'm afraid to say. I'd say looking at the replys on this thread that most Gers aren't really making much of it but the others are actually raging that someone in a more official capacity than them has stated that rangers are the same club. You know, same stadium, same badge, same fans, same sponsorship deals, same name in league tables, fixture lists, manager etc etc etc.

15.) The thing that I cant understand is how can all oldco assets be bought for £5.5 million and then without doing any work the Stadium is suddenly worth 3 times the value of all the assets.

There is going to be tough times ahead for CG and D&P when BDO get their teeth into all the dodgy dealings that went on after D&P took over.

Ian

Simples

when CG bought the assets no one knew what league if any Rangers would be in so infact he bought a club a stadium and various other assets which technically didnt have an income stream now we know what league we are in and the response of the fan base its a going concern and is worth more

like buying a car with no mot or tax you will get it on the cheap once you tax and mot it you will get considerably more for it

lochaber bear

Believable13 Unbelievable11

@ lochaber bear; your car comparison is flawed. You will have to lay out cash for an mot and tax to raise the price by maybe 20-40%. Greens spent nothing on the assets yet it increases by 300%!

8 4

They must be some motors you're buying LB!

6 2

No one ever valued the assets at 5 million, they were purchased for the 5million simply because it that was the best offer made, thats how these things work... Never bought anything from an auction site before for less than face value? Or do you prefer to spew bile to suit your anti rangers agenda?

6 4

Lol comparing chuckie to a dodgy second hand car dealer is spot on

7 2

@5 So how many offers were made?Don't think any as a deal was made behind public's back between CG and D & P .This is what BDO will be looking at.Trust me. {The Ed039's Note - BDO are looking at the financial mis-management of SDM and Craig Whyte. HMRC and BDO have made statements confirming this, they are not intersted in CG and Rangers as they are now. Trust me)

5 1

Why is it when anyone disagrees its anti rangers bile ,,,,why can't it be seen as a reasoned assessment of the situation or considered comment. Some people on here have little debating skills ,disagree. ,fair enough but at least flesh out your argument a bit,it would help the blog or was that from an anti rangers agenda ?"????.

10 2

So where is the flesh in your argument plebster number 6. You may wish the worst for the Rangers with all your poor wee heart, but like my wean wishing santas gonna bring him a real spaceship for christmas, it's no gonna happen.

Ed, congratulations on not going mad whilst being The Rangers Ed on these pages. It has to be the most troubled Ed job.
Reading the tabloid today and Kenny Miller being linked with St. Mirren in Paisley made me remember the strategy of Whytes Rangers to buy over St Mirren, amalgamate, and Rangers get their SFA and SPL share. Remember the st Mirren Director getting the sack for having the rangers finance director in the st Mirren boardroom pouring over the accounts? The issue was the timing, all done PRE administration. If that's not evidence of admin/ liquidation intention what is?

Believable10 Unbelievable10

This issue of rangers wishing to destroy st mirren for the st mirren spl share is still raw with st mirren fans. Still very raw.

Ed - Can you explain 50000 attend against worst team in Britain but in Cup-Ties ie Motherwell,ICT and Elgin less than half that. {The Ed039's Note - Season tickets arent valid for cup games)

OP - please dont start on about ''our crowd is bigger than your crowd'' again, we have done that to a standstill FS, its normal for a drop in attendance at the early rounds of domestic cup games

Ok bears lets talk football, remember how we used to before this page was hijacked
Just saw Lewis MacLeod picked up YPOTM and well done to him but I have seen every game this season (apart from one when my generator broke down) and i must admit he has not warranted a start in every game, Think ally should rest him for a game and have a look at an alternative midfield
what is your opinion on the young lad?

JG

Believable5 Unbelievable4

I thought barrie mckay would have won it hes had a cracking start

3 1

I totally agree. Think the boy is getting praise when it's not due. Feel he gives the ball away too much and falls out of games for long periods. Barry McKay has had much more of an impact and I am surprised he has started more games. Both he and Aird have looked really good so far and hopefully they will prosper in the team.

Well fellow bears its decision time and i would urge all bears who are in a position to invest in the rangers, to do so and for those not in a position, get together with some friends and club together

I have just completed the application for myself
and guess what my son is getting for his christmas this year, starts with s ends with s and has hare in the middle

heres to the next 140 years

Interesting that between my first application and my second which took about ten minutes, there was 56 applications in that short space of time

JG

Believable14 Unbelievable25

Are you related to CG. I bet your son is over the moon with getting a worthless piece of paper for Christmas.

Ian

13 9

Yes a great crimbo present. brute after shave and socks....or a share in a club that has given me and my son lots of happiness over the years....how do you put a price on tam Forsyths face after that goal, how do you price up looking down canal street manchester to a sea of blue, what price helecopter sunday and big marvin.....no danger where do i sign.......les

11 9

I have to say i think it's sheer folly to be buying shares before the BDO investigation is concluded.I admire any fan letting his heart rule his head,we all do,but this has been speeding along on a web of rent a quotes from Mr Green. As for the RST? Give it up,you have been found out to be the same self serving wasters you always were.

10 6

No need to buy now. Can buy any time after floatations. I'm waiting 4 months to see if the money is still there, the club is still operating and whether everybody has been mugs. Probably get them cheaper in several months also.

13 5

4. I know a few folk doing the same. Reckon they'll pick them up at a reduced price too so it's win-win for them.

Ed,,, i am a UK citizen, but reside in Australia. I'd like to know, can i read the shares prospectus here in Australia as a UK citizen, or am i banned because i'm viewing in it in a country not on the viewing list that's allowed? {The Ed039's Note - Good god mate, I dont know. Anybody help with the answer to this?)

1 2

Check out www.rangersshareoffer.com f
Geo

1 1

@6 i downloaded it here in Angola, so go for it, if you cant get it send an email address to the ed and i will send it to you in pdf
if you are buying shares use a UK address of a relative on your application

JG

1 2

@4/5 don't be stupid 1 share only costs a quid if rangers progress up the leagues they will be worth about £2 £2.50 a pop by the time we get back to the top league. The only way they will be cheaper is if gers fall back into admin

2 5

Don't buy these shares ,,,,,,,,wait and when the parasites leave you can organise and get your club back. Don't let this clown fleece you rangers will still be here when he is gone,,,, cos rangers is the supporters not a holding company not an entity not a club but the supporters don't buy these shares,

6 2

@10 - I imagine you would be happy if this share issue flopped but the only way an existing shareholder will leave is to sell their shares (for a profit)thats called getting a return on your investment, ask wee fergus he knew

Alright bears, what likes the weather at Montrose? Game likely to be on tomorrow? Cheers t the bear

Believable3 Unbelievable5

Artificial pitch - so playing conditions are fine, but if there is bad weather then the police could cancel it last minute because of the surrounding area

2 1

@1 - Met office say 7 degrees and cloudy, should go ahead no problem

right ed and fellow bears, advice time, £ 500 to cg or £150 rst ??

Believable0 Unbelievable12

Do what you can afford mate i was going down the RST route simply because £500 at this time of year is a little hard to justify but my kids have decided to give me money for xmas so ive given them the money i had for shares they will round it up to £500 and no doubt have the certificate framed and give it to me on xmas day lol

Lochaber Bear

7 11

OP dont think twice about it
If you can, its got to be 500 to the rangers

JG

9 12

JG, are you getting a cut, you're pushing the shares nearly as hard as CG.?

5 3

I unfortunatly have no spare cash but what I would like to say to all those buying shares. I thank you with all my heart for the undying support you have shown for our great team
. As a child now man I have been a fan of RFC. Ladies and Gentlemen I take my hat off to you. My fellow bears you fill me with pride.

7 3

Cheers bears, meeting the boys in pub to watch game tomorrow, so will talk it through with them, see what if any the pros and cons are ( outwith cost) on both sides !!

2 1

Heard a thing from 2 of my mates (the rangers fans) said that if you go down the rst route you need to pay like a fee to them every year ? Unless as JG says you pay £500 outright then your just giving money to the rst to help fund them getting a higher share % ? And you have nothing to do with AGM Etc

Banter and all aside I just hope whoever does but money into it whether it be the first time or 2nd time round they don't get bumped in anyway.

Lenny

3 0

Went for it with the wife last night. £500 each that is. That's us thrown our hats in to the share issue. For better or for worse. We'll soon see. Couldnt not do it. Geo

4 5

@3 - no im pushing them as hard as others are pushing against them,
there is some propoganda again be constantly pushed our way

JG

1 1

@7 well done Mr and Mrs Geo

JG

1 1

Lenny - you misunderstood my post, my advice to the poster was to buy shares directly, therefore giving him a shareholding in rangers directly and giving rangers capital
