Ally and youth, somehow don't seem to go together, unless we perhaps add desperation.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

The board have probably told him to do it to try and get the fans back on their side

to the Muppet's that abused our goalkeeper, get a grip.

All the goals we conceded against Dundee Utd. were caused by Rangers players, when a goalkeeper makes a mistake it almost always ends up in a goal, what about the strikers lol they missed any chances they got, we only scored because there goalie made a mistake!

Thought Ally should have criticised the numpties who abused the guy and more especially his son instead of just saying he shouldn't have been on it in the first place.

A player being on Twitter isn't half as a stupid as a manager doing a karoake turn after losing a cup final.

The abuse he has received is bang out of order. As you say there were plenty of mistakes during Saturdays game. Moshni, Law, Foster, Daly and Shiels were also guilty of appalling errors however that the way it goes sometimes and the answer is not to abuse them or their kids. Poor to say the least from the people responsible

As far as it goes no one should get stick for that boy made one mistake but totally castigated by a shower of persons once again the minority let's us down

We all need to think carefully about this Dave King deal. The board are a shambles. How dare they ask for season ticket money in return for the business review. There is no review! The Easdales are Rangers men and although I think they are being hamstrung in their roles their motivations are questionable? The same is true of DK, it just has too much baggage for me. Rangers supporter true but still questionable. We can all still be true blues together! let's keep our money, give to none of them and be supporters and pay at the gate.

Also I may be wrong but didn't Kenny Mcdowell not do quite well with the youth at Celtic.?

When Advocaat had his vision for Murray Park, did he not have a blue print on how it was to be used?

0 0

The real blame lies with Mr "youth will get a chance" McCoist for signing a 35 year old keeper in the first place, and then for playing him behind hopeless defenders aged 26, 28, 29 and 35, (3 of which he also signed) in a schoolboy system against a professional team.

0 0

I wonder why young Gallagher wasn't giving the chance in goals. He's already proved at the start of the season he was good enough. But then again it's been the same argument all season long no youths. Look what we got from Murray park in young Lewis McLeod great player maybe we have a couple more gems there. Give them a chance Ally and we'll see. John1glasgow.

Follow the boycott route at the clubs peril I cannot beleive that fans union throwing in a long with king and asking everyone to do he same without any plan or guarntee of what will happen if bandits liquidate club will he buy club back will he refund all loyal bears who bought shares and would lose there money in any admin/liquidation that's caused by his actions will he give details of the investment he claims to have ready and waiting he is as bad as bandits for transparency only a lot more dangerous between d kings boycott and macoists teams performance it soon be tits up for everyhing the only way to save club is by negoation on a price / share any other way is fraught with danger why doesn't king set up a fund to buy shares which would be more helpful

0 0

Ibj the SECRETshareholder would not be willing to sell enough shares for the simple reason the would get no more big lumps of money so why would they want to sell there gold mine before they have emptied it completly

0 0

At right price shares will change hands but the point of my postwas tha king does not give any inkling o what he can bring to the table considering he has no investment at the minute and and apparently has no inention of buying any unless there is a new issue he is even worse than bandits for transparency

@7

That's a great point mate Gallagher came in at the start of the season and did really well. It was madness for Ally to sign Simonsen when he clearly wasn't needed. All it did was add another wage for nothing. I doubt very much that Simonsen will be there next season so if Bell doesn't make it tonight then Gallagher must start.

Lbj d. my understanding it's not a boycott rather the money put into a bank account and drip fed to the club until the give assurances on ibrox and auchenhowie (refuse to use the name). so all the board have to do is give these assurances and they get the money. simples. nothing hard about it. or is there. you make your mind up.

0 0

@12 Not just assurances though. An actual security. The board can't realistically agree to that. I see that the board are going to give an update on the 120 day review next Friday. The the first tranche of money will leave accounts on the following Monday. No real time to cancel DDs, if that is what you choose to do

So you want the club to hand over the deeds of their stadium and their training ground or you won't give them season ticket money. Now, correct me if I am wrong BUT you are just a customer, you have NO right to demand anything for SUPPORTING your club. I find this whole thing utterly astounding. You are willing to withhold the one trench of money that every club relies on because some ex con director tells you to. If you are unhappy, protest, don't buy merchandise, but do not abandon your club in it's time of need and that is exactly what DK is asking you to do. Please do not be confused with who you are dealing with here. The companies that own your club will get all their money back and more and if they have to sell everything then they will and there isn't a thing any of you can do about it. Why not show a little bit of faith in this current board, they have done nothing wrong, they are trying to put the club on a footing to move forward, it may be slowly but it will be sustainable. The demands that this man is asking you put on the club are both obscene and ridiculous. If the club don't receive the money, how long are you as fans going to stand back and let the whole thing fall down. until DK

0 0

@ 14 your case is well made and set out and will make a lot of sense to a lot of people. I find it easier to be logical and sensible when I have no emotional tie to the situation and that is where the majority of us are at a disadvantage to you. We care passionately about the club- sometimes I wish I didn't as I tend to enjoy a football match more if I am dispassionate about the outcome. I must try and post on other forums- on second thoughts no - I don't see the point if I don't really care.

0 0

It may start of as drip feed but bet u bar of chocolate king would kick of and demand money frozen as both sides become entrenched then its a whole lot of heartache because fans who put money into boycott would not get admission to games it would turn into all out war and dare I say oblivion

0 0

Ibj its not going to be drip fed if the board give the fans what they ask for if they did the board would get lump sum

0 0

Ally mac firstly you make it sound as though I'm buying an all week ticket for first bus. secondly I take real offence at you callng me "just a customer". well I'm sorry when your father nearly dies going to watch this great club and the club he took me to watch until I was allowed to go myself, a club that I have spend thousands of pound following all over Europe, no I'm not "just a customer"!

0 0

18: I am sorry that you took that out of context especially with what is going on in Liverpool over the last few days. Here is a question for you, if you were £1 short of the price of a ticket would they let you in. in an answer NO. You and all the other fans of every club are customers, very loyal customers but ultimately that is what you are. It wasn't meant in a derogatory way I was just trying to emphasise that fans asking for control of the assets before buying tickets is a ludicrous demand and one that will NEVER happen. What next, the fans demand to have seats on the board, fans demand one of them gets a game every week, fans demand to sue the stadium for a kick about. I know these are stupid statements but no more stupid than asking the club to hand over their assets. I also think it may be illegal, would need to do a bit more digging but I don't think they can just hand over the assets of the club and leave themselves potless because basically that is what it would do. Season ticket money is not a guaranteed income so cannot be projected in figures however when doing the accounts the assets listed as Ibrox and Auchenhowie help to balance the books because they are on the plus side, take them away and then you have even more problems. Nbear2, now is the time when you have to be logical and sensible because if you don't the decision you make now will have severe consequences for the club. I know the fans care passionately about their club, every fan does but sometimes passion can cause blindness to the situation. I am sure you have been through enough false dawns to want to have to go through this again. You watched your club fall into the wrong hands BUT the strange thing is you seem to be rallying behind the very people who caused that to happen, King, Murray et al. You say I don't care, probably not if I am being honest, but that doesn't stop me wanting to have a well run Rangers in the top flight competing on a level footing with all the other clubs, surely that should be your ultimate goal. There are a lot who would be more than happy to see Rangers fold forever, I am not one of them, but maybe it is because of that that I can form an objective opinion, it may not be a popular one and I will no doubt be called all sorts for it, but I haven't said anything derogatory. In MY opinion DK is not the answer, stand behind the current board, support them and see what happens but be prepared for some harsh truths when the review comes out in a couple of weeks time, but that is what it will be truth. If your club is ever going to stand tall again then it will be done with the fans support, not by some outcast playing on your heart strings. but like you say I am not emotionally attached so it's easy to say.

0 0

Again allymac you are probably correct. Let's hope the review is not a fob and a waste of time. On your apology to a fellow fan some of us do think of the unlucky bears who set out to support their team and didn't come home on 2 occasions. They are part of the fabric of our club and we should always remember them. The Hillsborough disaster was likewise truly awful and of course unbelievably compounded by the actions of the authorities.
Had David Murray a semblance of sensitivity it should have been Rangers who played Liverpool as both clubs shared the worst possible experience.
But he was gazumped (giving him the benefit of doubt that he did in fact think about it) by our East End cousins who to the best of my knowledge do not have first hand experience of tradegy to that extent.

A PR and humane disaster of complete insensitivity and poor leadership yet again by Mr Murray.

But hopefully the two matches with our "friends" provided the help assistance and succour the fans and relatives deserved.

Ally Mac. no probs mate. listen you are 100% right?they wouldn't let me in if I was £1 short because it's a business as you say. although supporting a team goes a bit deeper than being a customer, in my opinion. but I do think before I hand anymore cash than I already have I think I'm entitled to know the answers to the questions posed to the board. you say why should them board cowtow to us fans. well the simple truth is no fans, no club. so if the people who have invested millions in shares don't want to lose it, answer our questions although I think I know what the answers will be!i know you don't support our club but your input is very welcome. cheers

Damned if we do damned if we don't? This is situation with renewals! I don't know what to do my heart says renew but head says get a grip! By the way McNamara says he wasn't worried about us in open play! Are you listening ally?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I'm exactly the same. I want to renew but the current board are a shambles although new shirt sponsors is a step in the right direction.

0 0

1. really in right direction- asking Bears to pay for another 3 shirts.

0 0

I don't want to renew because o the mince hat is served up but if necessary I will because the club cannot be lost forever due to the boycott and I honestly fear hat is a distinct possibility what hapenned to deal with new kit manufacturer there would be a tidy sum from that and new shirt sponsor?

0 0

Keep your money the quicker we get shot of this board the better, or who in their right mind will sign for us?
Also have not heard anything from Paul Murray lately

To my fellow Rangers supporters.
This is my first post on this forum and apologise in advance at what may become a lengthy rant. Like the majority of supporters I have witnessed the sorrowful demise of our great club. During this period I have been taunted about my allegiance to our club to the extent that I left a well paid executive role after the corporate huddle in that organisation emulated 1 of their irish based sites and referred to me as trailer trash of a broken empire. I had hoped that we could have built a new force in football, cleansed of our sins and rising like phoenix from the ashes of the past. I had hoped that we would have a club reborn, supporter focused, community based without prejudice and where the best of youth developed in to the best of sportsmen.

We have achieved nothing! It may now, I fear, be too late.

We don't have a club anymore as it stands. No corporate governance, no boards dedicated to our badge, no management capable of developing and moving forward. Everyday brings new revelations and new embarrassments that will drive many of us over the edge.

We cannot trust these people in charge anymore. They have lied and cheated us everytime. They have failed at every turn. Our management is a disgrace!

We must find our own answers and follow our own beliefs of what is right in majority. Please don't just consider the first person that comes along as being our saviour. Whyte, Green, McCoist, Murray and Smith have all brought us to our knees and are all guilty as charged.

Don't allow it to happen again, unite, but be careful who you look for as our champion (s). Our neighbours did just that and whilst we gloated they planned ahead. They did it, we must do or we will continue to suffer (or worse)

Sorry ed and fellow bears for the rant but can no longer stomach the lies and deceit a minute.

Great post Royal71 but glad you left the biggoted workplace. Somethings are more important than money.
On yesterday's poll ED 36% think Auchenhowie has been a good investment- do they get care in the community?

0 0

Good post and right to mention not only those whom have been deemed white knights coming to the rescue (still don't trust Dave King either) but also our bigoted baggage, witness the sectarian chants at the Raith game last week.
