Good to see Scotland get a good result, hopefully see a few Gers in the team in future.

13 Oct 2019 20:38:46
I wouldn't hold my breath bizzmyđź‘Ť.

14 Oct 2019 03:03:44
Thats not a good result its an F expected result. If we had won against anybody else bar the worst football team on Earth bar none then yes the you may have a claim. GAFG.

14 Oct 2019 05:12:12
Hey Bizzmy, this wasn't exactly redemption for low point other day. Beating mighty San Marino was similar to beating Shawlands boys brigade. Let's get things in perspective here.

14 Oct 2019 08:49:20
Yeh, against the mighty San Marino!

14 Oct 2019 12:38:22
MBW, why you picking on Shawlands Boys Brigade?

14 Oct 2019 13:04:57
I'm only saying it's good to see them winning, I know SM are a pub team at best but a win is a win and maybe a dim flicker of hope for the future of our national team.

14 Oct 2019 14:19:11
Don’t want any of our players near that team . No chance.

14 Oct 2019 18:25:05
I want any of our scottish players to play for their country. Its an honour to play for your country and nobody will convince me otherwise. It also means they're playing well for rangers. Ask any former rangers players of the past who've played for scotland and they'll tell you how much of an honour it is to be capped for your country.

14 Oct 2019 18:39:25
SGL that was in years gone by before the whole set-up became politicised and blatantly anti-Rangers. Why on earth would any player wish to play for a team whose supporters boo them? Why would any Rangers fan follow a team whose fans in the past have sung 'Hello, hello Rangers are dead' and 'Who are Rangers? ' Or give credence to a national organisation that would gleefully have seen us go out of existence altogether? What was once a source of pride for thousands of Rangers fans (me included, with 11 Wembleys behind me) has sadly been poisoned by the lethal venom from those who hate us.

14 Oct 2019 19:05:07
I agree daisy. I went to two world cups, multiple Scotland games hone and away, no more.
U r right they wanted to kill us and tried very hard.

14 Oct 2019 19:53:28
daisy yore, one of the best posts on Rangers Banter ever!
Well said that man✊✌️🇬🇧.

14 Oct 2019 20:37:11
Its still an honour for any rangers scottish player to get capped for their country. Try and look beyond the jacobites and SFA morons, about what i'm saying here guys. Ask ryan jack for instance just now. He's already said he's honoured to be picked for his country.

15 Oct 2019 10:22:16
What do you want him to say, SGL? Why should we look beyond those who despise us? Look beyond a manager who is openly hostile to our club? Look beyond a 'national' association that would gladly put us out of business? Look beyond those who took away my enjoyment of our national team? I now support Scotland in everything except my first love, football, and what you suggest is far too much 'looking beyond' for me, sadly.

15 Oct 2019 11:19:42
Ok before steve clarke got the scotland job daisy yore, what was the reason before that. They idiots certainly wouldn't put me off supporting my country and playing for my country, if i was good enough.

15 Oct 2019 16:52:31
SGL nothing up with our players want to play for our national team. However, we do not need to support a greedy self serving organisation called SFA.

15 Oct 2019 20:15:51
All of the above listed in both posts, SGL, like they hate us.

13 Oct 2019 19:13:58
See Shankland scored. Mb I'm wrong, get in there and sign him. I reckon two million plus Morelos will get him.

13 Oct 2019 19:45:24
Coz he's not as good as morelos doesn't make him a bad player john. Lad will do s good job for someone in spl no doubt, he'd score for us eith the chances we make as well.

13 Oct 2019 19:58:13
Shankland hardly kicked a ball tonight and looked out of his depth again against part time players. The same against Russia. Like a few have said before. Nicky Clarke banged one the goals in the lower leagues and did nothing for us.

13 Oct 2019 20:36:29
Because nicky clark couldn't make the step up, doesn't mean lawrence shankland can't blue nose. Every player is different and shankland could end up making a helluva lot of people on here, eat their words. You just never know. Remember jamie vardy playing non league football?

13 Oct 2019 20:44:00
SGL Shankland is a headless chicken.

13 Oct 2019 20:53:47
Saw Shankland against Alloa last Friday night and expected a lot more. Alloa centre half’s were all over him. On that showing he is championship standard at best. A week later he is playing for Scotland against Russia. The Scottish national team is really in a bad way if he can be one of our centre forwards.

13 Oct 2019 20:54:47
Sorry but as usual I don’t see this desperate need to highlight the negatives of any professional player.

Clearly Shankland would run rings around any expert on here.

Whether SG rates him or not only time will tell. Until he signs or not why waste your breath slagging him off?

The fact the our national team won comfortably no matter the oppositions should be a positive thing.

13 Oct 2019 21:24:11
Hes already had his chance at higher level. Aberdeen and St mirren. Grand total of zero.

13 Oct 2019 21:36:14
Dk 19 not interested in the sfa team.

13 Oct 2019 21:41:28
If we are only allowed to comment on players we are personally better than then it will turn into a very quiet forum 🤣.

13 Oct 2019 22:14:15
Always the same on here DK . People dying to be negative, at least there leaving our players alone for the time being .

14 Oct 2019 09:04:04
I would be happy if we got him, not for ÂŁ2million though, that's mental money for someone in that league will prob call it ÂŁ3million now he has an international goal.
But I do agree why is everyone so hostile towards him. His value I would have though would have been ÂŁ500,000 with a sell on %.

14 Oct 2019 12:32:05
fintyfint I'm not hostile towards the boy, I have actually seen him play and in my humble opinion he is nowhere near good enough for us and never will be. Let him get on with his modest career and let us go forward with the class of player we require. Seems to me the Moult/ Walker brigade would be happy for us to wallow in mediocrity.

14 Oct 2019 16:26:02
Finty not hostile against Shankland, like everyone on here I have my opinion. I hope the boy does really well for himself, but like everyone on here I want the best for our great club and to win the league.
People talk on here re more rangers players in Scotland team doing well, we don’t exactly have many Scots.
Although amount of academy boys delivering is a massive improvement on last few years, representing Scotland, England and NI.
On a more positive note re international’s this week we have seen our players represent their countries, ie Barisic, Davis, Aribo, Kamara, Morelos, Helander, Polster and Arfield at training camps and Jones and Jack out injured. Two years ago we did not have players getting in squads.
International experience improves our players and also enhances their profile, all good for our club .
We r going forward for sure.

14 Oct 2019 18:31:19
the best way for us not to be hostile is to not mention him. apart from not being good enough we would buy him loan him out then sell him on for a loss. he wouldn't get a game unless 2 strikers in front of him broke a leg and couldn't play because be assured SG would play Defoe or Morelos everytime even if they were having a bad day in the office, so if he wants to come and warm the bench once in a while then does that not show lack of ambition for him?

13 Oct 2019 17:57:54
Aribo scores against Brazil, another few quid added to his value, great to see him doing well.

13 Oct 2019 19:45:46
Cracking gosl as well, great feet.

13 Oct 2019 20:34:06
Great feet, glad to see him play at that tempo and pace that's exactly the tempo we need him playing atđź‘Ť.

14 Oct 2019 16:29:12
Coldo talking to John Brown re Aribo, I was saying great feet but quite slow, he told me I was talking rubbish and that the lad is deceptively fast and has great ability to go by players. He said fans think he is slow due to body language but this is not the case.
Interesting take from someone who has much more knowledge re football than me,

14 Oct 2019 17:36:27
I mean he holds onto the ball too long jboy. He can go by players no problem at all. Hope brown is right. I was impressed with that goal against brazil. đź‘Ť.

14 Oct 2019 17:49:11
I also used to think he was slow. Mb with coaching he will learn from Mcallister and gerrard yes it was a good goal mate.

14 Oct 2019 19:15:10
The boy can play football but can he
Handle pressure games so far it's. Been No.

13 Oct 2019 15:53:28
Been mentioned on here before, that alan hutton would be a very good back up signing for james tavernier. Hutton has a good few years left in him yet and at 34 years old would be a good signing for us. Hutts is still very fit and would breeze playing in scottish football again. I had heard hearts were interested in signing hutton a couple of weeks back, but nothing has come of it. I don't think hutton would sign for any other scottish club except rangers.

13 Oct 2019 16:25:17
Coop, don’t we have John Flanagan still at the club, who can cover both fullback positions? ✌️🇬🇧.

13 Oct 2019 16:25:36
Why? We have Flanagan and Polster as back up right backs. Why pay wages for another. Remember he was up against 40 and 50 year olds in a kick about yesterday.

13 Oct 2019 17:54:46
Silly season finished in august coop get real🤷‍♂️.

13 Oct 2019 18:00:54
If that was the case regarding yesterday. then we should resign Alex Rae . he was immense yesterday . even put stevo on his arse.

13 Oct 2019 18:24:06
Guys your totally missing my point. Quoting alex rae etc is just nit picking. Alan hutton has only just finished playing with villa and is still very fit and imo most definitely could do a job for us.
The way you guys are talking by going by age then we have both steven davis and jermain defoe who are terrific for us. You wouldn't be negative with these 2 and quite rightly so. So that's all i was stating guys.

13 Oct 2019 18:55:13
Alan Hutton is done, silly post.

13 Oct 2019 19:48:08
Hutton is finished,

13 Oct 2019 20:38:39
Not a silly post as far as i'm concerned Sir_Rock_Katic. Silly reply as far as i'm concerned.

13 Oct 2019 20:40:59
I heard the same on here by many John25,that both steven davis and jermain defoe were FINISHED. How foolish were they. I for the record backed both to be very good signings for us, once they got their match fitness up to speed!

13 Oct 2019 21:26:05
Hutton wasnt great on Sunday he is done hahaha. What a suggestion. If any right back on the park was getting signed would rather glen johnson. Also done but far better than hutton.

13 Oct 2019 21:37:18
Both were signed players, SGL Hutton is a free no one want.

14 Oct 2019 12:22:14
Were you at the game paul86.

14 Oct 2019 14:38:01
Regardless of whether he could still do a job, it seems everyone is forgetting Hutton was publicly very critical of the notion of Gerrard as manager, he went on record saying Clarke should be given the job instead.

13 Oct 2019 14:03:40
What's the betting on Kenny Miller writing a book, a tell tale if you like with some name dropping?

13 Oct 2019 14:58:33
Its a cert bgate, a final pay dayđź‘Ť.

13 Oct 2019 13:44:02
Big aribo scored against brazil.

13 Oct 2019 14:01:47
That’s 2 in 2 for big aribo.

13 Oct 2019 14:08:40
Brilliant for the lad.

13 Oct 2019 14:09:19
Hopefully he can kick on from here for us.

13 Oct 2019 15:07:15
Aribo, is that e same lad, to slow, can’t beat a player and not good enough for gers.

13 Oct 2019 15:10:11
he is going to make us a lot of dosh, eventually.

13 Oct 2019 15:30:07
Saw the goal earlier absolutely brilliant.

13 Oct 2019 15:39:13
Hopefully he does kick on for us, was slowing our play upđź‘Ť.

13 Oct 2019 17:26:11
He's a talented lad, no doubt about it.

13 Oct 2019 12:06:37
Tell you what, Well done to everyone involved in bringing Mr Wilson to our club as DoF.

What a coup that is. As someone mentioned previously he was the major cog in making Southampton ÂŁ300m in player sales!

Another piece in the jigsaw getting us back to where we belong!

Welcome aboard Ross
🔴⚪️🔵.

13 Oct 2019 12:29:10
Welcome aboard and hope he does well. Wait and see those as a lot of their fans aren't that bothered he is away- sixty mill of flops currently loaned out. Interesting to see how he copes with a different level of budget and market. Will cross my fingers for success.

13 Oct 2019 15:27:38
Snell, no DOF can get every transfer of a player correct, incoming or outgoing mate. Its sour grapes with the southampton fans as far as i can see. Ross Wilson has been on the whole superb for them and the money he's made that club in his tenure with them! He'll be a terrific appointment for us imo. He's very highly regarded by most within the game, with terrific contacts and his entourage of people, who work under him.
