Toilet rolls for sale.

13 Jun 2020 20:52:06
I would like a poll to add to that ed please if you don't mind. The poll being which powerful, strong, technical defensive midfielder would you prefer in the rangers starting midfield, ie. greg docherty, ross mccrorie, lewis ferguson or renato tapia? Cheers ED, would be very much obliged mate! 👍.

defensive midfielder poll

13 Jun 2020 21:19:14
Jeez oh SGL - are you trying to upstage me mate ?

13 Jun 2020 21:20:32
I don’t think docherty is a powerful strong defensive midfielder for starters. Also I don’t think that’s Ferguson’s best position.

13 Jun 2020 21:29:31
Tapia for me not on the poll sgl.

13 Jun 2020 21:52:48
Bgate w - Ferguson best position is at Aberdeen.

13 Jun 2020 21:56:15
Stewartyblue, Tapia better than the other 3 put together imo!

13 Jun 2020 22:23:02
SGL you’re like Neil Doncaster don’t get result you want so let’s have another poll!

13 Jun 2020 23:04:45
Blue sea, Doncaster is a very selfish individual who clearly has no interest in Scottish football. Scottish football needs a radical change and investment. We have some great teams and great history. Doncaster will ruin our great game. Whereas SGL is very loyal to his team, he has some strange opinions but I value them but we're all passionate about our Rangers.

14 Jun 2020 00:29:37
Tapia all day, ferguson and mcrorie for the squad.

14 Jun 2020 05:27:00
tapia and sgl.

14 Jun 2020 10:23:43
Stuck I used that name as an analogy sorry to seem to have hit a wee sensitive nerve
SGL is loyal, his biggest failing is no one else is allowed an opinion not in tandem with his.

14 Jun 2020 10:37:51
Because i disagree with opinions on here Blue blue sea, doesn't mean i think no other bear should have an opinion, because i most definitely think everyone deserves to have their own opinions. that's what makes this great facility, what it is. So i most definitely apologise, if it can come across to some at times, that i don't think anyone else should have an opinion! 👍.

14 Jun 2020 10:45:45
I am of the view that none of the three in the Poll are Powerful, Strong, Defensive Midfield players. I have no idea about Ferguson. I have only seen him against Rangers and while he certainly got stuck in he would not be my answer. I still need to see an awful lot more from Docherty before I am convinced that he should be in the squad and I suspect that Gerard doesn't rate him. I do like McCrorie but I suspect he will have another year down South and might even end up as our next right back. We need a Souness type player or if we are looking more defensively then a Roberts, but unless we can find someone internationally I am struggling to think of a player that we could sign that fits the role.

14 Jun 2020 11:01:02
SGL apology accepted sometimes passion for our team spills over 👏👏.

13 Jun 2020 18:38:52
Apologies to anybody I offended with recent posts I was in a right mood last night for some reason.

13 Jun 2020 19:59:11
TJBB, no need for apologies my friend. Maybe we're prone to a bit of cabin fever during this lockdown. Things can only get better and we're all looking forward to Rangers playing. Albeit on the TV for the time being.

13 Jun 2020 20:04:20
No need happens to us all bud👍👍.

13 Jun 2020 20:11:30
I’ve just watched Gazza documentary on sky. Wot a guy some of it so sad as well.

13 Jun 2020 20:46:34
Tjbb it happens.

13 Jun 2020 21:34:10
yeah gazza docu was superb jaws

few tears laughter and sadness - story about the emu 🤣.

13 Jun 2020 22:05:21
Paul Gascoigne was the greatest bar none for me. What a talent with a heart of gold, who unfortunately couldn't control his demons. God bless him, as he didn't ask to have his very tragic mental health issues/ challenge. 🙏.

13 Jun 2020 22:05:34
Whatever anyone thinks of GAZZA, be it good or bad (or both) . The Geordie Genius always gave us all a thrill. Bless you son. As a fellow alcoholic I understand what you are going through. By a fluke of nature I have managed to reach 67. I sincerely hope you make it to. IT AIN'T EASY MATE. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE FAMOUS GLASGOW RANGERS. WE MOST CERTAINLY ARE THE PEOPLE. End of rant 😜.

13 Jun 2020 22:37:50
Do youse mind the Gazza documentary when he joined us? Think it was on channel 4.

13 Jun 2020 22:56:31
Well said ger4life life and god bless you sir? 🙏 Here's to another 67 years pal! 🙏.

13 Jun 2020 23:04:08
Gers4life Stay strong my friend. Gazza was unreal. Demon's are in us all they just come out in certain people.

13 Jun 2020 23:32:24
Ger4life why do you, quite often state " end of rant " after some of your posts? Your not having a rant my friend, it's your opinion which are highly valued on here. We're all different with different views and opinions. However there all very interesting. Keep posting my friend.

14 Jun 2020 05:27:58
didn't notice tj.

14 Jun 2020 08:35:40
Ger4life, stay strong my friend.

13 Jun 2020 17:14:09
Talks of Atlantic League Dutch and Belgian teams making an 18 team league they forecast it would take in £300million in TV rights, imo Rangers should definitely try and get in on that.

13 Jun 2020 17:24:54
Talk of it. Same talk there was 20 year ago. Will never happen imo.

13 Jun 2020 18:03:22
Can try all we like the Dutch &Belgians don't want us as there is promotion and relegation in and out of their leagues.

13 Jun 2020 18:05:18
Not really an Atlantic league with just the Dutch and Belgian's involved.

13 Jun 2020 19:34:56
Think they are calling if BeNe liga, would be bigger than ligue one if it went as planned. If we aren't invited, try something similar with the Scandinavian sides, they tend to be quite forward thinking- could help our backwards league grow up a bit.

13 Jun 2020 22:08:57
Snell a bomb up the @rse wouldn't help our backwards league grow up a bit. The expression NO BRAIN NO PAIN springs to mind.

13 Jun 2020 16:30:16
Hi Ed, can you run a poll please. Who would you like in our first team - McRorie, Docherty or Ferguson. Cheers Ed.

{Ed033's Note -

McRorie, Docherty or Ferguson poll

13 Jun 2020 17:54:01
I'm keeping an eye on this poll. Very interesting as it's very close at the moment.

13 Jun 2020 18:22:54
As it’s very close why should we splash the cash on Ferguson?

13 Jun 2020 18:38:43
MrTupacman, my thoughts exactly, that's why I requested this poll.

13 Jun 2020 19:00:34
happy with doc and mac, fergie not worth the dough the sheep would only want to rob us anyway.

13 Jun 2020 19:28:41
Was a hard call if it was a plain choice between the three- Ferguson. If he does end up costing a few mill I'd say McCrorie as he is already in the squad and budget could be better elsewhere. Doc a distant third I'm afraid.

13 Jun 2020 14:39:06
hows everyone doing, hope yous are all ok and keeping well in these terrible times.

13 Jun 2020 16:19:36
Yo Wulie10, all good here. I'm currently furloughed. Lots of people worse off than me though. Very strange times, there maybe a bit of light at the end of the tunnel . Thanks for asking.

13 Jun 2020 19:41:11
Cheers Wulie, working full time from home but no commuting or travel so all good. Hope you, and the rest of the online Bears are all great too.

13 Jun 2020 12:48:19
Atlantic league being mentioned without us involved bit disappointing to not get the chance. Should we be pushing to be involved chance to get away from the spfl.

13 Jun 2020 11:11:57
This will upset a lot of lewis ferguson fans on here if this does indeed happen. Just after reading an article stating that brentford will pay aberdeen the transfer fee they're looking for, to secure the signing of lewis ferguson. QPR are also said to be very interested in him. Aberdeen are supposedly looking for £3million for lewis ferguson.
If brentford are prepared to pay that sort of money for him, good luck to them. They can have him, as that's way over priced. Trying not to slate the young man here, but can anyone tell me what he's done as a midfielder, to command a fee of £3million? 🤔.

13 Jun 2020 11:31:38
Transfer fees are relative Coop amte, 3 mill is a big chunk out our budget but peanuts to a Championship club. If i was calling devils advocate, a lot of people used winning young player of the year to justify Kent's fee last year and Ferguson juts won that.

13 Jun 2020 11:46:47
This will come back and bite us. As I've said it might be like Celtic being too mean to buy McGinn and how much is he worth now?

I honestly think people will laugh at young Lewis going for £3 million in years to come.

13 Jun 2020 12:02:20
He’s just won the football writers young player of the year lol.

13 Jun 2020 12:20:43
I would say 90% transfer fees are way over the top! Just depends what someone is willing to pay. I would say the sheep will bargain and haggle with the boy winning football writers poy etc.

13 Jun 2020 12:25:34
I've said it before on here, 5mill + to this level of team in England is small change, no risk money.
If we spend that kind of cash we need 1st team, win the league type players, probably from eastern or southern europe.

13 Jun 2020 12:26:11
SGL, I'm not a huge fan of Ferguson, he's decent. He's also rash and apparently quite big headed. Are Rangers really interested in him? I actually think no. Wow 3 million? If he's valued at that, what's Docherty valued at? 4/ 5 million. LOL.

13 Jun 2020 12:50:40
Yes he's won the football writers young player of the year but regarding its in scotland, doesn't mean to say he's worth anything near £3million C of Ibrox.

13 Jun 2020 13:03:45
I'm going to be honest and nobody will convince me otherwise here. The fascination of signing lewis ferguson with i good few on here i reckon, is because of the ferguson connection with rangers, with obviously the young man's dad derek and his uncle barry having played for rangers. that's most certainly not nowhere near enough for me, as he will never be anywhere as near as good a midfielder, as his uncle barry. I had the privilege of watching baz play for rangers since his debut at tynecastle and judging them both at lewis's age of 20 ATM,
barry at that age was miles better than lewis. He's honestly nowhere near in the class/ mould of barry!

13 Jun 2020 13:12:04
I think the peruvian tapia would be a far better signing for us than lewis ferguson! He's available for nothing, still only 24 years old, with a wealth of big game experience. Is it just me that can see tapia would be much better value than paying £3million for lewis ferguson? Both play in the same midfield area and in a similar style, so they can be judged against each other. No brainer here for me! I think we're in for tapia right enough and not for ferguson, which for me is the correct decision by gerrard. Night and day between the 2 midfielders and saving a transfer fee of £3million, into the bargain! 👌👍.

13 Jun 2020 13:44:33
Too honest coop, you mention Lewis Ferguson more than anyone else on here! 😁
It has made a change from you waxing lyrical about Lyndon Dykes! 😂.

13 Jun 2020 13:49:20
Coop, for me the name Ferguson has absolutely nothing to do with it. He is one of the best young midfielders in the country. He is a stand out in this league and will only get better. We should be signing these kinds of players. Most of our greatest ever players have came from this league. Should we not be buying young stand outs than risks from other leagues. You are saying the young player of the year has done nothing to merit a big move? What has Lyndon Dykes ever done to even warrant a move to a club like Hearts or Hibs never mind the old firm?

13 Jun 2020 14:03:21
Definitely rather have Tapia if he was going. If he is on a bowman does mean he can command a higher weekly wage so hopefully doesn't price us out! Would be a cracking signing though.

13 Jun 2020 14:25:10
We need another different type striker in lyndon dykes IMO C of Ibrox, we don't need lewis ferguson,
simple as that pal!

13 Jun 2020 14:30:37
SGL, Tapia for me if your running a poll .

13 Jun 2020 14:39:10
Sign tapia, tell Barry Ferguson to tell Lewis Ferguson to run down his contract wherever he may be then come home for free, in about 3 years, sorted 😆.

13 Jun 2020 14:40:12
Lewis Ferguson was not good enough for Rangers 1st time around and is still not good enough. Try and aim a bit higher, we need quality and experience to win the league next season.

13 Jun 2020 14:40:56
C of Ibrox simple question pal. If rangers were signing one of these midfielders, which one would you prefer us to sign, ferguson V tapia?

13 Jun 2020 15:08:20
SGL So you are saying that Scottish football is 💩 regarding young Lewis Ferguson winning the young writers player off the year and would Only be a bench warmer at Rangers, But have stated that we should sign Dykes from Livingston whom has won F all 🤔. Barry was a Rangers great his older brother Derek should have done better, But that’s a different story. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🇦🇺⚽️😎👍.

13 Jun 2020 15:39:03
Let's get some things straight here, as it's obvious that lockdown is badly affecting some people on here. Someone suggested Lewis Ferguson is a bighead. I know he's not, he's a sensible and decent boy. He is also a much better player than Docherty. In today's market he is worth up to £3m if Kent is worth £7m. It's relative to what clubs will pay. I do not have a 'fascination' with the Fergusons, I merely think he's the only player in Scotland outside the Old Firm right now who could get anywhere near our team, including Dykes, Cosgrove, Shankland and the rest. If he came to us he's got it in him to improve immeasurably. And of course it's nonsense to suggest that any of us think he could be as good as his uncle, but that doesn't stop him from being a good player in his own right.

13 Jun 2020 16:28:10
Covenanter - MCrorie is also a better player than Ferguson.

13 Jun 2020 16:34:14
Well folks we will just have to trust the guys who actually make the recruitment decisions and the prices we pay. Last but not least get behind manager and players 👍.

13 Jun 2020 16:54:02
Correct bgate.

13 Jun 2020 16:56:32
The covenanter i'll ask your opinion here pal if i may. Who would you rather see rangers signing, lewis ferguson or renato tapia? 🤔.

13 Jun 2020 17:16:16
I really hope mccrorie gets a chance this season the stuck. I am not sure SG rates mccrorie as much as you and I do though.

13 Jun 2020 18:11:54
I reckon that Ferguson would be a good buy at £3m., but I do believe that Tapia would be the better signing. I don't see McCrorie being at Rangers next season and if he is then I just don't see him being of the calibre that we need to win us the league. As for Docherty the jury is still out with me. I want him to do well but would he make the difference that is needed, probably not. I am hoping that if not Tapia then we will sign someone better that the media hasn't a clue about. In terms of striker, we definitely need a 3rd striker and either Dykes or Taylor would work for me. If we lose Morelos then we need a player that is of a higher calibre than both the aforementioned.

13 Jun 2020 18:20:11
SGL you really don’t seem to like young Ferguson is there any particular reason why? Do you not think buying him now for say £1.5m and loaning him back to Aberdeen for a season as part of the deal is decent business? I’m not saying he’s going to be as good as Barry but I do think he has the potential to be a top player. Celtic done a similar thing with Ryan Christie and the turned out pretty good for them.

13 Jun 2020 18:28:03
How many people here can heart and hand say the knew who Tapia was before we played Feyenoord? Or is the clamour to sign him based on 2 games against us?

13 Jun 2020 18:39:39
HighlandBear81.Firstly let me state i have absolutely nothing against young lewis ferguson and if gerrard did choose to sign him, i'd back him to the hilt as a rangers player.
Secondly, i have already said in a previous post, that ferguson is a good midfielder, but i wouldn't pay what aberdeen are looking for him and its double the £1.5million you're saying mate! We all have opinions and mines is why pay that money when as far as i'm concerned we already have greg docherty, who i happen to rate a better midfielder than lewis ferguson! Putting all that aside, i would want us to sign renato tapia as he's miles better than ferguson and available for nothing, as his contract at feyenoord is finished. He's already at only 24 years old, a very experienced, battle hardened midfielder with already an impressive 53 caps for peru! I hope i've thoroughly answered your question mate and put your mind at ease, as to WHY i don't think we need to sign lewis ferguson!

13 Jun 2020 19:03:43
That’s good enough for me mate. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, it just seemed a little personal the shear amount of comments from you against his signing. But for me, I agree with the Covenanter I would have him before any other players in Scotland without a doubt! Cosgrove dykes and all that mob however as I said we’re all armchair managers and are all entitled to an opinion. By the way Aberdeen can ask for £3m but that means absolutely nothing if a players heads turned a deal is normally done, and I’ve not seen much of tapia of if I’m honest but if he’s available on a free and he’s all that! He’s probably going to be looking for big big wages.

18 Jun 2020 01:18:31
Sign ferhuson then loan him back ‘ for free ‘? You’ll never be an accountant son 😆.

13 Jun 2020 11:08:20
Shankland scored 24 league goals for Dundee Utd until the season was abruptly halted. Dykes scored 9 and Cosgrove 11 in the SPL. Apart from playing the Old Firm, there isn't that much difference in level between the rest of the SPL teams and the Championship teams. If we are going to sign another striker (hoping Morelos stays) then surely Shankland would be the better bet?

13 Jun 2020 15:41:28
Shankland is good at scoring - in the lower leagues.

13 Jun 2020 18:21:34
I’d have Shankland before Cosgrove or Dykes any day!
