13 Jun 2018 22:13:48
Don't want to tempt fate but I think that now the new defenders all have the ability to play the ball from the back moreso than last year and with McGregor in goals it already looks like a strong unit with genuine leadership which was severely missing last season.
Could we now be seeing a Rangers manager showing his vast knowledge of how football around the world is played and could this be the opportunity to show up the ineptitude that Rodgers has been proven to have when up against footballing brains higher than the current SPFL level?

13 Jun 2018 22:16:20
I love the annual 'going for 55' optimism lol

13 Jun 2018 22:20:29
Rodgers has won 6 out of 6 trophies including a season undefeated, how is Gerrard (fantastic player in his day, although lampard was better) an under 18 coach who has never managed a senior game have a vastly superior managerial knowledge?

please explain

13 Jun 2018 22:29:06
Helmet tongue worry about your own team

13 Jun 2018 22:32:35
You’ll love it even more when we get 55 Henrik. You better hide because we will be unbearable! So I’d suggest you enjoy your glory days now while you have them instead of wasting your time obsessing over what we’re doing

13 Jun 2018 22:42:10
No ‘going for 55’ optimism meant.
Only looking at how Brenda faired in the EPL against more widely educated footballing minds.

13 Jun 2018 23:10:00
I love it that your obsessed with the famous

13 Jun 2018 23:31:13
Oh Timmy

I do love your daily obsession with all things Rangers

14 Jun 2018 06:04:20
kaney
no one said SG has vastly superior managerial knowledge? oh unless you have misconstrued what bathgate bear actually said . or maybe like most of the pathe (tic) reporting in the media you just twist everything to suit yourselves? bathgate bear said i quote
"Could we now be seeing a Rangers manager showing his vast knowledge of how football around the world is played" so how did come up with your comment? PLEASE EXPLAIN!

14 Jun 2018 07:32:26
Exactly the point I was going to make, Brian. Where does it say vastly superior managerial knowledge? I blame the schools

14 Jun 2018 08:37:37
Standing down the park with your bottle of mad dog everyday can do that to you.

14 Jun 2018 08:44:15
briangersfan.

correct me if I am wrong is Gerrard the manager yes (not a TRFC player? )

then his alleged vast knowledge of football has to be utilized in a managerial capacity as he is no longer a player. so my point is: how does he have a vast knowledge that he is to implement in a managerial platform if he is never managed a senior game, additionally how can Rodgers be "inept" at a level higher than SPL when he has made it to the Champions league group stage 2 years in a row and taking points of off Man City, Boroussia M, Anderlect etc (yes we have lost games and looked all over the place at times but The Rangers fans had us out at the qualifying stage)

so maybe it is yourself who does not understand the original point being made so to simplify: What vast managerial knowledge does Gerrard have that will "Show" Brendan's Ineptness when facing stronger opposition (because we lost 4 games last season and still won the league at a canter thumping yourselves on the way) .

14 Jun 2018 08:45:49
Bathgatebear.

did Rodgers not finish 2nd in the EPL ahead of Mourinho, Wenger, Poccetinno ETC.

remind me which player cost Rodgers an EPL title?

14 Jun 2018 09:39:02
Still obsessed with Rangers I see kaney after all the success you’re team has had overthe past 2 years you still seem to come on the Rangers page and get your nose in, I just don’t get it, why do you feel the need to bother, could you please explain? . serious question by the way

14 Jun 2018 09:40:45
kaney what a load of waffle steven gerrards alleged knowledge of football? really c'mon can you not do better than that? i don't know how steven is going to do no one does? but one thing is for by his appointment just maybe the rest of britain europe and possibly further are now sitting up in their chairs watching what will happen in scotland . do you not agree that our appointment has changed things? are the sfa . not wanting more tv money are clubs not getting more sponsorships? steven may not have managerial experience but football knowledge he most certainly does. as well as credibility
passion drive charisma. need i go on?

14 Jun 2018 09:55:00
Things are bad when you're frothing at the mouth so much you have to reply twice in a row. You raging kaney aye? 😂😂😂

14 Jun 2018 11:27:52
no doubting Gerrard's reputation as a player. however the original post made reference to Brendan's INEPTNESS which I highlighted as unfounded.

how can I be obsessed by defending our managers achievements. and yes of course i'm going to highlight your managers lack of experience as he has absolutely none. Gerrard will be gone by xmas as per pedro, we heard the same bull last year Alves the world class defender, cordoso the wonderkid, dorrans the EPL maestro.

come on it is groundhog summer every year with The Rangers. Optimism, Entitlement, delusional thoughts, realization, reflection, rebelling, boycotting then repeat and repeat.

Frothing, far from it. when The Rangers start signing players that are a better quality than Tierney, Dembele, Ntcham, Griffiths, Brown whilst balancing the books then I will start take your team seriously.

14 Jun 2018 14:14:38
Oh but you already take us seriously bhoy. That's why you and dozens like you are on here day in day out. When we restore natural order in Scottish football, some of you lot (most of you in fact) will need medical attention. Your hatred eats you up and it's hilarious to watch you burning with rage, even when you should, for once in your pathetic little life, be happy and revelling in your team's success

13 Jun 2018 21:40:22
I'm fed up waiting on release date for new shirt so took it upon myself to contact Hummel direct. They said that they were not able to provide any dates but I was to keep watch on Official Rangers media or Hummel web page, that's how it'll be released. Just thought would share this if anyone is as impatient as me just now.

13 Jun 2018 22:06:52
As several people have said, they need to wait on the sports direct contract finishing

13 Jun 2018 22:08:12
would never have guessed they would be released on the hummel or rangers site first.

Im glad you rang them

13 Jun 2018 20:48:52
i have a funny feeling that skrtel deal will happen. if so i reckon CB will be skrtel and goldson as pairing and katic will play as a defensive mid. this would allow tav and john to get forward more. i reckon it will be an attack minded 4141 formation. possibly rossiter and arfield in CM or maybe dorrans and arfield. Hopefully bring 2 strikers in and 1 winger. If morelos abd herrera leave then for me it would be Marriot Solanke and that sadiq lad. with harry wilson as the winger. that would do nicely.

13 Jun 2018 20:25:23
Optimistic that this is the year for Rangers, think Stevie G will become a class manager and think McAllister is a very shrewd choice for No2, would love Alonso or Agger to for a coach role.

A few signings to be looked at should be Flanagan on a free, Solanke on loan or maybe an ambitious loan attempt for Ings due to the struggles he will face getting in the Liverpool team and maybe a commanding centre mid if we can find the find one on the right deal.

13 Jun 2018 19:57:06
Thoughts on this, and it’s just an opinion before I get slaughtered. but Jack Wilshere? Out of contract potentially at Arsenal, needing constant first team football, would most likely jump at the chance to work with SG, wages would probs be a no go but just a wee thought. Would definitely be marquee

13 Jun 2018 20:20:59
Wages would be miles out of reach for us

13 Jun 2018 20:38:48
He's knocked back offers over 100k a week at Arsenal and will probably get it at some other premiership club. Never in a million years tbh.

13 Jun 2018 20:44:37
Same with Ronaldo. wants to leave Real Madrid. wages might be a problem tho?

13 Jun 2018 20:46:40
Only if they pay 70% of his wages

13 Jun 2018 20:47:53
Aye probably if we had a spare 75 to 80k a week to spare.

13 Jun 2018 21:00:37
And that kids is why you shouldn’t do drugs!

13 Jun 2018 21:05:39
Firstly let me say that i truly think that jack wilshere, is way too pricey for us! But letting ourselves dream for a second here, he would be a fantastic signing for us! Wilshere is a terrific midfielder and i'm led to believe is a glasgow rangers fan!

13 Jun 2018 21:10:42
Yeah I think you will get slaughtered for that one ;)

13 Jun 2018 22:11:16
A few bites there 😅 just a thought. We’re a much bigger club than most premier league teams, just crazy tv money down there makes them seem bigger. Maybe looking for a new challenge. But yeah wages would **** it

14 Jun 2018 11:44:37
Was also thinking this at work but as you say wages would be a huge stumbling block.

13 Jun 2018 19:45:38
All the guys here slating the players we had last season are being unfair yes i admit we wernt great second half of the season but still topped the goalscoring chart and our players didn't seem happy to be playing for murty now gerrard is in charge i think they players will be playing with a smile and happy players mean good football

13 Jun 2018 22:21:17
Sangil80 bit late for them now, the minute any player pulls on the blue shirt they should be giving 110%, most of them have had their chance mate

14 Jun 2018 07:54:35
Ye brian i agree at rangers youve got to be a decent player straight away

14 Jun 2018 11:47:23
@sangil80 - sorry, got to disagree. A few of these players have underperformed for 2/ 3 managers. We can accept a below par performance but not lack of effort. Thankfully Gerrard will not put up with that nonsense.

13 Jun 2018 19:17:29
Just with everyone concentrating on transfers ins and outs does anyone know if any money is getting spent on repairs of the stadium and training ground, the last I heard both were in need of few bob spent on them, also any news on new strips getting released.

13 Jun 2018 19:29:07
There was s a video from Rangers tv showing the pitch being re-turfed, the main gates being repaired painted and put back up and a good bit more being done. 👍🏼

13 Jun 2018 19:49:16
Ibrox has been at least getting painted and a new pitch laid for the rest I don't know.

13 Jun 2018 20:00:42
The new hummel home kit will be available for our supporters to purchase, after the SD deal ends on the 31st of july! I did say on here about a month ago, that the home kit Would be available for us to buy, around mid august, the away kit in september and the 3rd kit in october! But some people on here shoot you down because they don't have any info on it, so they decry the possibility of anyone else having news on the kits, or anything else for that matter!

13 Jun 2018 20:07:07
We’ve spent 3 million on Ibrox. Roof repairs on the 3 stands and reburbishing the insides.

13 Jun 2018 20:27:06
After selling 48000 season tickets we could do with expanding

13 Jun 2018 21:13:12
I'm pretty sure the stand at Murray park is due to get built anytime now. There has definitely been investment made away from squad rebuilding in the past couple of years.

13 Jun 2018 22:47:01
Regarding work at ibrox . painting and genuine maintenance plumbing, electrical, joiner, etc. I bet lots on this page and hundreds of of season ticket holders are tradesmen. Who would give up spare time to carry out work at ibrox. If it saves thousands why not.

13 Jun 2018 18:45:24
Upfront is now our problem position with Murphy Morelos Windass and Candias as our only options from last season. What would you do to strengthen this area of the team?

13 Jun 2018 19:41:46
I would keep Morelos the boy has potential and with any luck we can secure Dominic Solanke and play the two of them up top next season! Sick to the back teeth of the criticism he receives even though he scored 18 goals last season playing upfront on his own with poor service. I also like the looks of the boy from Roma who what I’ve seen would certainly do a job for us. Morelos under the guidance of Gerrard and a good pre season would certainly be a big player for us next season. Just my opinion👍🏼🇬🇧

13 Jun 2018 20:38:13
Agree regarding Morelos

13 Jun 2018 21:02:03
we (as it stands) need 2 strikers, a prolific quick one and a big solid target man that can score goals. If morelos leaves and cummings isn't brought back, we then need 4 depending on the hardie situation (i. e kept or not) this is the important area now- we need quality. though i would still bring in at least 1 more defender- as i would let cordosa and or alves go

13 Jun 2018 21:24:02
Also think we should keep Morelos and sign Rhodes and McBurnie and bring either Solanke or Ings in on loan.
For the wide and ACM positions I would promote Middleton sign Cadden Jones and bring in Kent Wilson from Liverpool.

13 Jun 2018 18:02:24
I was looking at some footage of the boy Katic and I know we have bought him as a centre back but I was thinking if we get another centre half should Alves or cordso go then I could see Katic playing in midfield, he's comfortable on the ball strong and has good distribution, might be worth a look, what do you guys think?

13 Jun 2018 18:41:25
Yes he could do a job in midfield but I think Centre half will be his main position. Still think we need another Centre half as cover before letting Alves or Cardoso go.

13 Jun 2018 20:35:50
They said the part of katics game that needs improving is his passing so I’m not sure he’d do great in midfield. We moan at managers for playing players out of position now you have a defender in midfield

13 Jun 2018 17:43:03
Would still bring in another centre half as cover before letting either Cardoso or Alves go. For me now I would go for Caulker and let Cardoso leave if his agent can get him a move. Centre defence sorted then with Goldson Katic Wilson Alves Caulker and with McCorrie dropping back into centre defence if needed because of injuries.
Bring Wallace back into the squad and let him fight it out with John for leftback/ left wingback and new contract. Also Beerman will be the same as Wallace.
Tav is the only one I think we have good enough for the right side. Would offer Hutton a 2 year contract with option of extra year and let him and Tav fight it out for the spot. Use Jack as extra cover for rightback.
Sell Hodson and sign Cadden as cover for rightback, right wing and centre midfield.
Defence sorted in my opinion but only my opinion.

13 Jun 2018 18:25:36
Defensive midfield. Rossiter, McCorrie, Jack and Barjonas.
Centre midfield.
Arfield Docherty Dorrans Rossiter Jack Ejaria and Burt.
Attacking Midfield centre. Windass Dorrans Arfield Ejaria Middleton and Burt.
I would sign one more midfielder that is a tough tackling a unit like Kamara of Dundee or Mulumbu of Lillie. Personally I would go for Kamara as younger and could have sell on fee in future

13 Jun 2018 18:34:58
Wings. Murphy Candias Middleton are the only ones I think Merit a place in the squad next season. Think this will be a area looked at. I would bring in two loan players from Liverpool Wilson and Kent and also bring in Cadden and Jones as two young players for the future

13 Jun 2018 17:27:03
Love how SG is stamping down his authority with new players coming in door. Defence of Shagger
Tav Katic Goldson Wallace

That is good solid platform to build on mix of hungry players some more experienced some that could hit there peek under Gerrard, to me he is showing already his head screwed on deal with basics first GK and, 2 CB sorted ARFIELD in the middle and the Liverpool boy is improving midfield so a think next we shall see 2 new strikers or wide attacking players if SG goes Wiv front 3. Let's go am praying we stop the manky lot

13 Jun 2018 17:58:00
John all day long over wallace best lb in scotland . but wallace could still do a good job

13 Jun 2018 18:12:03
midfield powerhouse still needed

13 Jun 2018 17:17:59
Looks like Stevie G is sorting out the spine of the team. First Shagger then a new CH Katic plus hopefully another. Arfield in the middle and a new striker wouldn't go amiss.
Roll on the new season! Let's Go! To 55!

13 Jun 2018 17:23:06
Would anyone else take Hutton as back up to Tav?

13 Jun 2018 18:13:54
hutton all day long just had great season at vila, on form of his life.32 in his prime still for me he would keep tav out

13 Jun 2018 20:44:45
Aye Hutton is clearly the better player.

13 Jun 2018 17:16:08
What does eveyone think we should do with Alves then? I think we should keep him and have 3 at the back Goldson, Alves, and Katic with John and Tav as Wing backs. He's still got a lot to offer imo.

13 Jun 2018 16:39:09
Hi Eds,

I'm just wondering if there is any interest in any of Sportings players/ ex players? Maybe someone like Daniel Podence who has or is looking to break away from the contract? I understand finances aren't there to go out and spend a fortune but maybe Rangers could be an interesting project to some of these players without the expense of transfer fees.

{Ed001's Note - it is not that simple, you still need to get the players registration from Sporting.}

13 Jun 2018 16:36:38
If Rossiter can stay fit he too will be like a new signing.

13 Jun 2018 15:25:25
Morelos is a youngster with a phenomenal goal record for someone his age. He is the best in Scotland at holding the ball, strong as an Ox. He's not the finished article yet and some seem happy to just punt him? Wind your necks in please .

13 Jun 2018 17:01:16
He's also one of the worst finishers in scotland get the money for him because he proved at end of season he ain't interested we'll end up getting washers for him so think you might need to wind neck in and accept he's an empty jersey doesn't want to be here

13 Jun 2018 17:40:14
What makes you think he doesn't want to be here or that he isn't interested? And please don't mention the petulant look on his face because that means nothing,
Also he has signed an extended contract,

13 Jun 2018 15:09:26
6 million spent with 5 permanent signings and a loan I’m buzzing about the quality of players we’re bringing in. Would bring in at least one striker and a winger

13 Jun 2018 15:43:31
wait and see
don't know much about the 2 ch's

13 Jun 2018 16:42:29
All we need now is to sign Torres and the Samaritans hotline will go into complete meltdown with timmys😂😂😂

13 Jun 2018 16:54:47
tilladie, don’t know too much about katic apart from he’s got pace which has been a big problem for our last few centre halves and from what I’ve seen of goldson and what Brighton fans are saying he’s class

13 Jun 2018 17:04:35
Just a wee joke btw! 🤭

13 Jun 2018 18:22:20
TORRES is the dream would shine in scotland

13 Jun 2018 15:03:23
I think we need a powerhouse midfielder, a right winger and a marque striker (solanke)

13 Jun 2018 16:06:29
I recon solanke will go pre season with Liverpool so klopp can assess him then we will get him

13 Jun 2018 16:16:24
Our Marque striker / signing can’t not be a loan player

13 Jun 2018 17:06:23
I'd take Wilson, Woodburn and Solanke. Keep Morelos. Business done!

13 Jun 2018 15:00:51
It seems the banter years chapter of our history may about to close. Gerrard / Allan are building a team here. Experienced GK. 2 tall quick strong CB. Keep the good news coming. #Lets go.

13 Jun 2018 14:10:39
Goldson confirmed on a 4 year deal! Outstanding work! Now for a striker!

13 Jun 2018 17:27:08
Just one?

13 Jun 2018 14:04:16
Done deal re Goldstone on Brighton and Hove official website. The best signing so far IMO. #letsgo.

13 Jun 2018 13:49:03
I would keep Alfredo remember he played double the games of his team mates last year so he must have been feeling it.

13 Jun 2018 13:35:11
Probably get shot down for this but does it really matter if the naming rights are sold for the training ground OR Ibrox as it will always be ibroxe to us the fans for instance I would never say something like I'm heading to the Rangers v Kilmarnock game at the Hummel arena @ Ibrox stadium I would just simply say I'm heading to Ibrox for the game against Kilmarnock! And if it puts money into the club's pocket we should be exploiting every possible revenue stream we can do if the Ibrox naming rights are to be sold won't change a thing as it'll only be short term like 4-5 years or so and it will always be Ibrox to me regardless and if the extra cash allows us to buy the player that ends up helping us take the league title back to edminston drive then I'll be happy.

13 Jun 2018 15:00:31
100% agree.

13 Jun 2018 17:31:15
I get what you mean, Tommy. I'm all for extra revenue and i don't think i'd mind a change in name but it's what Hummel plan to do, will they plaster Ibrox and surrounding area with advertising etc? also, when domestic or foreign teams come to play they will be visiting the "Hummel Arena" and not Ibrox and over time we will lose the identity.

13 Jun 2018 12:13:30
Lots on here talking about cover for Tav. Think we missed a trick not taking Naismith from Ross County as cover, potentially first team regular. Big strong, athletic lad and a massive bluenose to boot. Any thoughts on other right backs?

13 Jun 2018 12:43:45
No, but we really need to be lifting our heads and setting our sights far, far higher than this.

13 Jun 2018 14:49:32
That's an Ally McCoist sort of signing, we've moved on from those days

13 Jun 2018 17:29:04
I understand what you guys are saying about the quality of Naismith but we are talking about a back up RB in the SPL!
I would like us to buy young and Scottish if possible.
Unfortunately there are precious few good young RB's out there.

14 Jun 2018 15:12:05
I'm all for a young, scottish back up right back but I don't see Naismith being good enough, he was the best player in a very very poor County side, if we're going to challenge this year, the starting 11 as well as the squad needs to be stronger than it was last season and a signing like Jason Naismith would not bring that in my eyes.

13 Jun 2018 11:52:09
The Hummel training centre

Call it anything you want lads if its putting money on the table then happy days.

Here's a scenario for or a poll for you lads.

A big company come in and offer to buy the naming rights of ibrox stadium. The deal is worth £5million a year.

Figures are only hypothetical and its only a scenario BUT.

Would any of you be open to selling the naming right of the stadium?

13 Jun 2018 12:38:11
7 8mill at a push yes but it would always be ibrox to us all

13 Jun 2018 12:45:00
Would have to be a lot more money than that on the table, but it will always be Ibrox anyway.

13 Jun 2018 13:29:47
its a no brainer really. and anyone who thinks otherwise is just plain daft. the stadium can be called anything. To fans its called Ibrox no matter if there was a name change.
I am sure if a company wish to pay 5 million a season it would happen.

Although i would very much like to know if we do well this season what the chances would be of possibly adding another tier to sandy Jardin stand. it was discussed years ago. not sure if it was a goer then. possibly add 5 or 6k extra. the big screens i'd say atleast keep 1 of them preferably at broomloan corner end.

13 Jun 2018 14:14:39
Would much rather the name the hummel centre of excellence. ;-)

13 Jun 2018 11:48:50
Excited about the Katic deal beacause it means we're looking in the right places for new talent. Not just down south where the values of some players are over the top.

13 Jun 2018 11:48:23
Morelos is awful let's face it skrtel or him it's a no brainer.

13 Jun 2018 13:23:59
A no brainer, big tim? Take an ageing defender who wants 60k a week, after we've just signed two younger guys, then get rid of someone who has great potential? Right.

13 Jun 2018 20:19:23
A no brainer to someone with very little brain or Visio . don't think Stevie is as stupid to contemplate selling alfredo. the boy will go on to be a massive star. the amount of goals we got last year because if his work rate we’re immense ok he missed a good few but so did super ally Bally

13 Jun 2018 12:06:30
Hi bears, Just looking at all the players we have been linked with etc etc and they all seem to be giants apart from SA. I wonder if that's part of the brief, wee Holty is going to think he's in Honey I shrunk the kids.
Sadiq Umar- 6' 3.5"
Connor Golsdon - 6' 3"
Scott Arfield - 5' 10"
Ovie Ejarai - 6'
Nicola Katic - 6' 4"
Oli Mcburnie - 6' 2"
Dominic Solanke - 6' 2"
Kari Arnison - 6' 3".

13 Jun 2018 12:24:26
Kari arnasson is someone taking the pi55. He just signed for a team after leaving Aberdeen and took a parting shot at British football.

13 Jun 2018 12:26:49
wee holty won't be there mate

13 Jun 2018 13:14:12
Brill mate had a wee chuckle at that honey i comment

13 Jun 2018 17:26:22
Solanke won't happen and i am prayin to god we are not looking at McBurnie or Arnison

13 Jun 2018 12:04:28
By my counting i may be wrong but we now have 8 central midfielders. Surely he has to start shipping some of these guys out? Really hoping it is going to be a busy month with ins and outs at the club.

13 Jun 2018 12:49:24
Holt and Halliday gone will leave us with Rossiter, McCrorie, Arfield, Docherty, Dorrans and Ejaria. That's six, and we'll need six. The first three named would be the first choice three.

13 Jun 2018 13:15:55
any foundation duty to why rossiter ahead of Docherty or anyone for that matter?

13 Jun 2018 13:20:54
Dutycalls - Why Rossiter before the others, on what basis?

13 Jun 2018 14:14:43
Glad you didn’t mention Jack, hopefully he’s gone!

13 Jun 2018 17:28:16
Docheety being very very poor being 1 reason. And we have more than that as you have missed iut Ryan Jack.

13 Jun 2018 09:49:20
Not Rangers related but i read Arsenal are on the verge of signing a massive name in world football, it's Sokratis Papastathopoulos, hope his jerseys big enough to get that name on it ;-) ok maybe he'll go with Sokratis.

13 Jun 2018 11:37:49
Sure he does normally have Sokratis mate otherwise he needs to have pretty broad shoulders haha

Nikola Katic watched some of his YouTube clips, looked good but he's going to have to play against much better opposition in a better league so have my doubts but hope he proves me wrong

13 Jun 2018 09:36:34
Or maybe he'll come here and blow us out the water with how good he is? I don't know for sure but I think we've got a real gem here!

There’s not much between the SPL or the Croatian First Football League mate, I wouldn’t want drawn again Zagreb or Split.

13 Jun 2018 09:51:06
Croatian league is more competitive than the spl

Hes one of the best defenders in croatia he's been pickd for country good enough for me

13 Jun 2018 11:49:20
chilli

ur post made no sense - why do you have your doubts?

13 Jun 2018 12:15:44
He's 6'4 and a big uncomplicated solid center back, nothing fancy in his game, has also played in defensive midfield as an anchor man.

Exactly what we need in Scotland, wins most of his headers and tackles and doesn't fanny around on the ball not to mention still a kid and will improve over the years so good sell on fee down the road.

Every signing is a gamble but I reckon he'll do well for us.

13 Jun 2018 12:50:49
He's coming to a better league? You're having a laugh mate, ours is one of the poorest leagues in Europe.

Have to say I really think the board have now got the two absolute right guys in place at the club to take the team forward in Mark Allen and Steven Gerrard a DOF with tonnes of experience and a new young ambitious manager who is a born winner and a massive name which will help attract players that might have gone elsewhere for more money I don't claim to have any source but in essence SG was Allen's choice appointment as even DK said it was my that went to him and asked if he could bring in SG how would he feel and the rest is history and it seem from the outside that my and SG are really positively bouncing idea on signing off each other I can't wait for the start of the season not been this excited in years.

13 Jun 2018 07:35:23
Please God let it not be another false dawn. My old heart couldn't take it. Don't think I've ever wanted a Rangers manager to succeed so much as it would cause massive, humongous ructions over by at breezeblock boulevard. Maybe we'll see the dark veneer slide right off Brenda's face.

mark allen is doing a good job recruiting players so far, he knows the market we can afford.

13 Jun 2018 11:49:58
hope so it is his job

For the first time in a long time, I have a confidence in where we are going. The signings are impressive, the naming rights to our training ground are in place and we have direction.
The unknown is where the cash is coming from, but I believe that the future is good.
Sitting in the sun in Portugal with a bottle of Sagres, I am a very happy bluenose. Yes DK17, I did say HAPPY.

Are we giving the chairman any credit in any of this?

Few points to make guys point 1 most of guys on here talking about replacing tav or signing a RB as cover. I think we definitely need cover for both sides rem halliday left back. We either need to sort wallace situation or promote one or 2 of the young lads as if john or tav get injured.

Point 2 most on here delighted at the 2 centre backs that we have hopefully signed. I for one will hold my delight until i see these guys play as both are basically unknown and are inexperienced. I would like to see us adding another CB with some leadership qualities and experience.

Point 3
I don't know why we are looking at bring in a couple more liverpool youngsters wingers if indeed we are when we could save on the salary by promote the young boy we got from norwich Glen middleton.
I feel that we should be using more of these young guys. Last season the gained a lot experience playing against so of the cream of europe and held their own in most games. Imo one or 2 of these youngs boys should be getting a game when we come up against the likes of livey or stmirren. If i think back to over the past 2 season anytime we have given any of the young boys a chance i can't rem any of them letting the team down.
