ha am howling here change the manager, we're not renewing season books because of the rubbish football haha BRILLIANT! Tims get aff this page man! Back to back league wins, and super ally's STILL keeping us together, thanks to super ally, because if it wasn't for him STILL being up er, working under them muppets, there wouldn't have been 17'000 season books renewed at this point, the fans r just stuck between a rock and a hard place at the moment, but come the start of the season, it'll b a full house, maybe not in season book sales, but folk buying game to game home tickets!

Ffs colin, don`t you know we all think ally`s back to back wins in the lower league`s with a paltry budget of 7m a season was exceptional, why do you think we pay him so much.

if you don`t play the game like the rest of us on here, where we all kid on that he`s not got a clue about football management, we are going to lose him to the EPL.

you have only got to look at his latest signings, the 34 year old, and 28 year old, to see the guys got an eye for talented youngsters.

however have to agree, if it wasn't for his radical long ball approach for the last two seasons against part timers, there` s no way 17,000 ST would have been sold this season instead of the 40,000 plus the two previous seasons.

so thank you ally for keeping us together, but please keep it our secret. 4 in a row if you do colin.

Although I don't quite share your optimism on Coisty, I do think he deserves this season to show us what he is really made of.
Whilst we have progressed through the leagues, it has not been pretty on the eye.

The old excuses of; "We only had 2 weeks to build an entire squad", "the lower league pitches don't suit a passing game", "part timers are raising there game against us and also kicking lumps out of us" and so on and so on have always been raised when our poor performances have been questioned.

This season we have no more excuses, we are playing other premier league quality sides in Hearts and Hibs, the league also has some great wee stadiums and some good full time teams. This time around if we mess it up, then Ally has to put his hands up and take the blame.

I hope to hell this doesn't happen and I am confident that the manager does have the ability to turn us into a decent footballing side. He is a playing legend, and he did a great turn when we needed him most a couple of years ago. So I think he deserves the chance to show us what he can do this season.

I know a lot of people are gong on about van Gaal getting his tactics spot on last night with his 3-5-2 formation and saying how great it was to wtch but give me the long ball up to Daly any time.

Great post bluebeard. Assination is more effective with a healthy touch of humour and sarcasm

Dunc do you think rangers will ever win a cup with super ally at the helm

tmwnn he really has to win the Ramsdens this year as 3 years in the lower divisions without winning the only cup open only to the lower divisions would trump going through the second worst division without a loss- IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Nbear I agree but I also think we should have won the ramsden cup these last two years and I would put a bet on us not winning it this season nbear what do you make of charlieboy reappearing it must be a case of he HAD to ie major shareholder at least they can't deny he is mr margarita alias blue pitch holding anymore

tmwnn I was of the opinion he never actually went away and that the Bus Brothers were only faces for Green. But to be honest I'm beginning to get a sore heid thinking about it. I started thinking that choosing December for the share issue was to keep down the number of bears buying shares which could lessen his control / influence . Then I thought I had realised they needed the funds from the IPO to keep the club afloat because of the "Black Hole" that Bill Miller talked about and therefore couldn't have delayed the IPO beyond December. Then I got ma sore heid.
What is obvious (I think lol) is that he will get rid of Ally as he sees that as unfinished business and doesn't see anyone else on the current board who will do that.
That would really set the cat amongst the pidgeons and see if the majority on here for managerial change are representative of the support or just a pocket of anti Ally lunatics.
Until us fans have control of the club we probably will never feel certain about the club again.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nbear I think there will be an uproar at him reapearing cause he only put his face out the way for a wee while I know if he had not SAID he sold to the wigs he would own to many shares and would have to make an offer for the club

While I don't think ally has got the awareness and tactical nous to be a rangers manager, I do strongly believe he should at least be given 6 months in the championship, he deserves that, we all wanted promotion the last 2 yrs, nothing more, he delivered that, easy as it was he still got there,, we should let him show us what he is really made of, who knows, maybe he will turn out to be a great manager with proper players, I don't see it myself but who knows? Let him get a decent team together and play better teams, it might just be better quality, he always said it wouldn't be pretty, did he not? And remember this, while I don't particularly rate him as a boss, he does know Scottish football inside out, he wrote half its history, maybe, just maybe he will be a rangers manager,

tmwnn you are probably correct mate. What is the old saying if it looks like Craig Shyte and smells like Craig Shyte then it probably is Craig Shyte. What a parcel of scum bag rogues we have had in charge of our club over the years!

Nbear you are going easy on them there well easy compared to the way I would descibe them lol

17000 season tickets sold can't this board see the obvious there is at least another 17000 season tickets awaiting to renew but won't while we are being served this dross football on the pitch we are sick watching this it is dire I guarantee we will be inindated with renewals with change of manager we are ready to back our team as we always do

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Just change of manager?, think it will also need, proof of deeds to ibrox and murray park, and proof of who these investers/ shareholding companies really are, before the other 17 000 take up their season tickets again.!

@ op not saying that some people don't like the manager but I think you will find that the withholding of ST money is a protest against the board to ensure they give guarantees that our assets won't be sold

Agree0 Disagree0

Rf I for one would buy if ally was gone

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed wull61 whilst I am convinced Mr Green is still holding power through the Greenock Brothers and I worry about our ability to survive the season it is the football that is the reason for me not stumping up as usual. It is a difficult one because it should be a cracking league this year. But in my opinion the need for a new football ethos from top to bottom with youthful flair and enthusiasm with free flowing fearless football is every bit as urgent as a trustworthy board of integrity, honesty and decency who put the club first before self interest. That would be an aspiration for a new manager as well whenever or if ever there is a new incumbent in Mr Struth's chair.
We can but dream I suppose.

Agree0 Disagree0

@2. I think a lot more needs to be known. Who are behind Blue Chip and Margerita for instance. Are the likes of Irvine and Stockbridge still hanging about like a bad smell?. Plenty answers still unanswered

Agree0 Disagree0

Give me answers & I will give them my cash.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ide imagine the board have welded a few thousend on more like 13 or 14 thousend

Agree0 Disagree0

No I beleive that figure is near enough I reckon at the end of the day the irony is if the teaam start the the season well the gate money will amount to more than season book money if they continually sell out games

Agree0 Disagree0

Wull61 I think the crowds will dwindle because most will tipple that's the only way to get the gold diggers out of the mine

Is anyone else out there pretty pleased with the 2 signings so far? Although Miller is getting on a fair bit, he still has a couple of years left in him and will more than do a job at this level. I also think that playing alongside Miller will really help Nicky Clark. Miller is a work horse and Clark is a goal scorer. Trying to pick up the scraps after we punted it up the park to Daly and he headed it god knows where was not helping the young lad at all, it did not suit his style of play. I think the Clark will really come into his own next season if he plays alongside Miller. I hope they are given a decent chance in the first team at the expense of Daly. I also think that knowing he is not the first name on the team sheet will make Daly work a lot harder as well.

I also think Darren Mcgregor looked pretty solid at St Mirren. He has played in the lower leagues before so knows what the league is all about. He won't be whinging if he gets kicked too hard or riled up by heavy handed opposition forwards. 4-5 years ago he was playing non league, part time football. So surely he will grasp this opportunity with both hands and not like has happened with most of the signings over the last couple of years just be looking forward to his money going in the bank every month.
He is an out and out center half, not the most skillful but he looks like a safe option. He has the legs, which have deserted big Lee and he has a sound head which it's pretty obvious Mohsni is lacking. Plus the biggest benefit to bringing him in is that we can finally wave goodbye to that useless, overpaid and uninterested Cribari.

On a final note, anyone know why Cribari and Simonsen have not been officially released yet?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Happy with these 2? just shows how much the cub has fallen!

I half expect a few more signings as a trickle of fans keep buying STs.

Then they'll do their best to punt the likes of Wallace and anybody else with any decent sell on value.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunc I read on another site yesterday cribari had been released

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so (tmwnn) as all a google search on the subject brings up is an Record article from May in which he says he wants a new contract. 7 grand a week he was on as well. disgusting! No wonder he wants a new one. The new lad will be on about half that and will be chomping at the bit to get on the park week in, week out. Another reason I reckon it's a great signing.

And (aldair), our club has fallen, where have you been for the last 2 years? We are lucky to still have a club and are currently playing in the first division. I would be even happier if we signed a couple of 6 million pound Dutch internationals but it just isn't going to happen anymore. For a club as skint as ours and playing at the standard we currently are, I am more than happy with these two.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunc its was further down this page I seen cribari was away and the new guy you mention lol let's hope that unlike cribari that he ain't scared to header the ball lol
