I just want to single out Josh Windass for praise. He is in fine form and his goals have been the reason we have picked up points recently, especially given the fact he has scored at both Easter Road and Pittodrie.

Looks like we might have a striking partner for Morelos.

14 Dec 2017 00:00:34
I’ve been praising him all season for his performances vs last season and some gave me pelters on here.

He’s never a winger in his life, supporting striker/ CF all day. He’s racking the goals up now.

14 Dec 2017 00:27:07
Good result and we’ll take it given our lack of luck in some games this season but the reality is we are papering over the cracks and we need better quality and belief from our team if we are to secure a challenge for second never mind Celtic

14 Dec 2017 01:37:21
You need luck sometimes MOLS. And we’ve had he has this season. As far as I’m concerned that’s us even vs Hibs for the shambles of a refereeing display at Ibrox.

It was a hard fought win. Luck played it’s part but even the best teams get their lucky breaks. Try and enjoy the win eh.

14 Dec 2017 01:44:09
MOLS I for one will take papering over the cracks if it means 3 points players deserve credit tonight for battle

13 Dec 2017 23:12:39
Again too light weight tonight for that style of play and too many passengers. Even the goalscorers were poor. Very few pass marks tonight.

The boy Barker is one to keep an eye on though.

13 Dec 2017 23:21:01
asked my hibs fan mate if he always plays that well. apparently very hot and cold but was their main threat tonight by a mile

14 Dec 2017 01:41:34
Boy barker looked a threat!

14 Dec 2017 08:13:25
I'm told that's Barker's best game - ever. It could take him months to do that again.

14 Dec 2017 08:50:49
Can't believe some of the posts here, some people are never happy. To go to Easter Road and get a result coming from behind is a fantastic achievement, yeah the performance might not have been there and we rode our luck, but we came away with the points. Remember the manky mob could only manage a draw. There's a lot of talk about us being in a crisis, an embarrassment etc but we are only 5 points behind.

14 Dec 2017 18:02:16
Struth it's not that I'm not happy about getting the 3 points, however we didn't deserve them. This team of ours can't boss a midfield and retain possession for any length of time and we won't be able to challenge until we can control games for long periods of time. I think this is going to be another wasted year tbh as I can see most of Pedro's signings leave in January.

14 Dec 2017 18:56:22
In the 9 in a row years Tommy Burns Celtic Never got much because of the goalie's great displays. They had us pegged a few games. So take the deserved and undeserved points, that's what wins cups and leagues. 😃

13 Dec 2017 22:21:56
Oh and forgot to say will someone at Murray Park please give Morelos some heading practice.

13 Dec 2017 22:32:21
got a head like a 50p piece 😂

13 Dec 2017 23:12:27
What was that header!? Loved the celebration though 😂 how mad was Lennon afterwards couldn't hold back about bates handball 😂 unlucky Neil

14 Dec 2017 08:12:05
Should have scored both headers.

14 Dec 2017 12:00:51
Our forwards are just not good enough. Although Morelos scored his overall play is shocking. He can’t hold the ball up, he can’t pass, his finishing is poor. we need a decent centre forward. Miller and Herrera are rubbish as well.

13 Dec 2017 22:19:57
What a win tonight, Hibs played really well and we ran out luck a little but hey how much has luck went against us in games. Thought Fod Wilson McCrorrie Bates Tav Holt Windass all had strong performances all be it backs to the wall type stuff. Down side Candeias was awful done nothing but give the ball away all night. Finally got to mention Murty he pulled it off again beginning to think he'll get the managers job. Well done Rangers keep it going . c'mon us.

13 Dec 2017 22:35:10
We were a bit lucky tonight, but to be honest it is the first bit of luck we have had in a long, long time. A bit of justice after the Hibs game at Ibrox.
Now keep it going!

13 Dec 2017 23:20:03
Rangers were woeful. Personally would only give pass marks to Fod Alves, Wilson, John and Holt. Thought the rest were shocking, even the goalscorers.

Candeias under Pedro was our best player and now he is the worst. Looks as though he wants away quick. Really need another clear out in January.

I hope we can offload Cardoso, Candeias, Pena, Herrera, Dorrans, Krancjaer and Rossitter.

13 Dec 2017 23:34:53
I don't agree with offloading dorrans. He'll be an important player for us in the second half of this season

14 Dec 2017 08:13:40
Yip, can't argue with that robbie. On a serious note, murty for manager? Why not?

13 Dec 2017 22:11:52
Great result tonight. Happy that we showed the character needed to see a tough game out.

Quick request. Can BillyTwoPies give us all a bed time story to send us all off to our scratcher happy😂😂😂

14 Dec 2017 22:15:28
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

13 Dec 2017 22:08:34
Not the best of performances tonight but lots of positives none the less.

1) Great to see a manger making the brave decision tactically to see the game out.
2) Danny Wilson looking better and better. Lots of crucial interceptions.
3) Josh Windass working hard over the last few games and getting better with confidence.
4) Morelos wasn't great tonight but still scored. He will get better and better.
5) Big Wes is often criticised on this sight. What a performance tonight.

Well done to the team tonight they gave it everything.

13 Dec 2017 22:14:14
Danny Wilson has been class of late he looks so lean! He always imo looked heavy and I think that caused his injury problems! Took the arm and ahead of alves when Miller went off and imo should be team captain

14 Dec 2017 08:07:30
No risk here imo! Give graeme murty the rangers manager's job 'till the end of the season! He has them fighting for him and has proved he's tactically aware!

14 Dec 2017 08:29:39
Totally agree lads, let’s not get on his back too much should we have a couple of bad results though!

2-0 on Saturday would be just lovely!

13 Dec 2017 22:04:55
A wee mention for mcrorie tonight picked up early booking but really stood his ground afterwards and went onto be solid and competed for every ball well done lad! Big fod some great stops also 👏.

13 Dec 2017 22:00:54
Well done to every player for digging in and massive well done to Graeme Murty. Really deserves to get the job. He has made them hard to beat. Murty deserves to be rewarded. Give him the job tomorrow morning. No cost, promoting within, it’s a no brainer!

13 Dec 2017 22:19:50
Murty is tactically aware, not afraid to change system. The players are playing for him and confident in HIS ability. He has a fine persona, modest, honest and has the same integrity as Walter.

No doubt the board will make an arse of it by appointing someone else.

14 Dec 2017 08:15:51
I agree with giving Murts the job, well deserved . Only thing is, as soon as he loses 2 games on the trot you will all be crying out for his head and you know I'm right . One week it's he's not got it and the next he's the new Walter. Out of everyone you've tried since 2012 he's the only one in my opinion who's showed some tactical knowledge, used his eyes and brain during a game rather than this is how we play tactics .

Imagine the confidence he would get with some backing win, lose or draw as well as the security of the job full time and a chance to buy some players of his own . Bet he has a list as long as his arms of young up and coming players with a great future out there that others might disregard. Give him the job and give us some competition guys, please 👍

13 Dec 2017 21:40:57
Great win - totally ground out - whatever murty hss its certainly working and tbe players are doing it for him -.

13 Dec 2017 22:02:05
Can't agree more best thing about it is after the game he admitted we were off our game and also was on the money regarding where we must do better look after the ball more and stop putting ourselves under pressure! Signs of a man who knows what he's looking at

13 Dec 2017 22:02:15
Get it right up Lennon!

Brilliant result with bad play. Murty is definitely a legend for me already. I don’t care about the 2 losses he has learned from it and now the players are learning from him. He is a class act, I swear he has been sent to us as a gift during another tough time in our history.

Well done lads, let’s keep this run up and see what unfolds.

13 Dec 2017 22:04:24
Great win tonight and this is what Rangers has always been about grinding out 3 points after 3points despite the personel and good or bad performances. Declan John had a poor game but never hides and like windass never hides. Seeing Lennons face after that loss - priceless.

13 Dec 2017 21:27:48
Declan John couldn't get a start for Cardiff . I think tonight we are seeing why! He can't defend! Do not sign this guy, simply not good enough for rangers.

13 Dec 2017 21:54:04
Can’t believe our support are happy with guys like Declan John . We Will win no league titles with guys like him. A fact . He let crosses come into our box tonight far too easily . he couldn’t get a game for Cardiff yet he’s good enough for us? No way

13 Dec 2017 21:58:43
Hibs were good tonight and we managed to get 3 points! a lot of our players were off their game! Wouldn't single out john who imo would be a decent signing as I believe he's a freebie at end of season

13 Dec 2017 22:02:57
Declan John is a massive upgrade on Lee Wallace

13 Dec 2017 22:08:53
Be fair to Declan John he was a left mid that was moved back to left back by Cardiff. Think when Wallace is fit he could go back to his right position. Got to say I was impressed with the boys macrorrie and barjones the way they handled themselves tonite. Take a bow Graeme Murty for having faith in these guys.

13 Dec 2017 22:42:20
Can’t believe the stick Declan John is getting about defending, has nobody else seen Tav defend at the opposite side!? Yet nobody really seems critical of him. Give the guy a break, would rather john in there than Hodson.

13 Dec 2017 23:03:00
Agree about Barjonas, hopefully he gets more game time during the busy run of games we’ll have and it’ll help keep other midfielders fresh while giving him more experience. I still can’t believe McCrorie is 18/ 19 years old. Plays with a great head on his shoulders

13 Dec 2017 23:49:46
Can't believe the tick we are giving John, he is a winger shoe horned into a left back, when Wallace is back you will see a stronger left hand side. Also Tav is terrible at defending.
tonight when lemon changed it and brought on barker at left mid/ wing and is all right footed he constantly showed him inside and he caused numerous problems because he lacks the game intelligence to learn and pay attention and show the boy the outside, his left side, reducing the threat, and everyone is complaining about John, defies belief.

14 Dec 2017 08:03:20
Excellent 3 points tonight. Dug deep but got the win. That's all that matters.

14 Dec 2017 08:04:25
What a great win. Just like Walters teams of old.

However I thought our passing was terrible. Although Morelos scored his overall game is shocking. What has happened to Candeias? How many times did he just give the ball away? I also don’t see what everyone dooms to see in DJ. The game totally passed the young Barjonas lad.

We really are down to the bear bones squad wise.

13 Dec 2017 18:23:06
Its time for the players to step up to the plate and produce a performance like Aberdeen. Time to shut lennon and hivs up. The worry is the midfield with jack suspended and dorrans injured. Where is the permanently injured duo of kranjcar and rossister when needed. Both worse than Andy Carroll and Micheal Owen combined. Its time to offload this pair as quickly as possible and cut our losses

13 Dec 2017 18:39:30
Niko has been fit just severely off the pace due to no game time so unless we're 2/ 3 up in games he won't get the chance to build his sharpness

13 Dec 2017 20:41:24
Kranjcar isn’t injured

13 Dec 2017 21:30:14
Where on earth is kranjcar if he's not injured. Its times like these he's needed but as usual nowhere to be seen. How much time does he need to get fit. Along with rossiter a total failure of a signing. Our history in recent years is littered with them

13 Dec 2017 21:48:36
He's been on the bench the last few games.

13 Dec 2017 12:11:58
Would like to see Herrera get a start with Morelos. miller needs to be dropped he's been rank the Las few games and he seems to get 90 mins most times.

13 Dec 2017 12:41:06
A fair point but needs to be and will happen are two different things and Murty is clearly a big fan of Miller. I don't think Herrera has shown enough to justify a place and he sums up the could've, should've, would've transfer debacle of Pedro. Herrera, Pena and Dalcio instead of Moult, Walker and McLean at half the price. The answer is now obvious. Miller's 38 in 10 days time and long past his prime but he still has massive support on this page and arguing for his benching is gauranteed to get a dozen or so disagrees. Maybe Pena is an enigma and will surprise us all but it appears Ryan Hardie is not up to the task when the youth coach in charge doesn't pick him. He's clearly no Derek Johnstone or Parlane at a time when when we needed one most.

13 Dec 2017 15:39:51
I would too like to see them play together at some point, however I don't think tonight is the night for that.

Plus he won't drop Miller.

I think it will be Morelos in for Pena, along side Miller with Windass sitting behind them where Pena has been playing.

13 Dec 2017 16:12:21
miller or herrera not currently doing so how about getting one of either hardie rudden or dallas up top with morelos would like to see doodoo get chance when he is back

13 Dec 2017 17:15:46
You must not have watched the game on Saturday 1-0 down millers energy along with Holt and Morelos in second half dragged us up feild and millers hard work paid off with the interception for the equaliser he is frustrating with some of his touches but more than makes up for it with his work ethic if only Pena worked as hard as him he would be a top player I get why u don't want miller as we need to built a team without a 38 year old but at this time we play better with him if murty does play a youngster like hardy or rudden etc I would rather he played with miller a top pro who could talk to him and coach him on feild tottaly understand where u come from though as he frustrated me since we brought him back but got to look at his whole game

13 Dec 2017 20:31:44
it was Millers work rate that intercepted the ball for our equaliser on Saturday. Herrera before Miller? No thanks

13 Dec 2017 20:38:14
Herrera is worse than miller. At least Miller has a goal in him and a shift. Herrera is brutal and so is pena. I know I have said it a million times but we could have had moult and one or two others for the price we paid for these two.

13 Dec 2017 11:02:53
I like the suggestions that we play 3-5-2 tonight. Given the injuries, we could still field a decent team. Foderingham; Tavernier, Alves, Wilson; Holt, Barjonas, Kranjcar, Windass, John; Morelos, Herrera

I know Krancjar is much slower nowadays and injury prone, but he is class and give him an hour or so to try and create the chances we need. Candeias and Miller can be brought on later if need be.

If we had no injuries or suspensions the team might have been:
Foderingham; Tavernier, Alves, Wilson, Wallace; Dorrans, Jack, Rossiter, John; Morelos, Windass.

13 Dec 2017 12:00:52
Why include Rossiter? He can't be better than the other midfielders we have, he never plays football! I'm not having a dig I genuinely don't get the hype as he's hardly played senior football

13 Dec 2017 12:38:14
No mcrorie? would be One of the 1st names on my teamsheet now

13 Dec 2017 12:43:16
After watching the game on Sunday we will need to stop mcginn in my eyes he ran the show for hibs 90% of the play and good passes went though him

13 Dec 2017 13:28:43
Fair enough, forgot about McCrorie. I only included Rossiter because it would have been nice to see what he would have done.

13 Dec 2017 13:29:53
Put wee Holt on McGinn and get him snapping at his heels all game

13 Dec 2017 13:38:42
mccrorie is injured or would start

13 Dec 2017 13:40:09
Think we can stop mcginn by playing tav hard against him in middle of the park his driving runs from midfield would force mcginn side on as we can't have him playing with time on the ball to pick passes and dictate tempo! Pains me to say it but he's turning into a cracking wee player! Wee need the legs of holt tav and barjo to turn it in our favour with sharp passing and moving off the ball, their energy is key to tonight to play the triangles and dictate the game .

13 Dec 2017 13:47:35
no point mentioning Rossiter. he's injured

13 Dec 2017 15:23:49
Rossiter is like Santa, you are lucky if you see him once a year!

13 Dec 2017 16:08:12
I thought he was only 7 - 10 days away.

13 Dec 2017 17:23:31
If mccrorie isn't fit tonight i'd play fod tav John alves Wilson Holt miller candeias barjonas windass Morelos or swap barjonas and play hodson at right back and tav in the middle of the back four or on the right instead of camdieas but I'm sure murty will have known his starting 11 since Sunday after watching them . My prediction is rangers to take the lead early in first half hibs to equalise towards the end of the first half rangers to score twice in second half and hibs to be put down to 10 men and Lennon sent to the gallows I mean stand!

13 Dec 2017 20:33:27
McCrorie is in line to potentially start tonight the injury doesn't appear to be as bad, Murty giving him every chance to be passed fit.

13 Dec 2017 20:34:38
Tonight Barjonas will play the spoiler role against McGinn.

13 Dec 2017 20:35:23
That's a belter Snell

13 Dec 2017 20:36:43
That what warbaurton told u seanaldo?

13 Dec 2017 20:39:18
I agree he's like santa. he doesn't exsist!
