Foderingham

Tavernier
Ball
Kiernan
Wallace

Thompson
Law
Halliday
Holt

Hardie
Waghorn

so its 4 4 2 so what?

{Ed039's Note - You have 4 central midfielders)

14 Dec 2015 07:34:41
Nicky law? Jesus.

14 Dec 2015 12:38:05
Nicky law has played well this year, imo we have missed his bite in the middle of the park, only my opinion.

13 Dec 2015 17:26:53
Most of the team are off the boil plus we are crap tactically, look at first goal Morton scored, Halliday never got a foot in then gave up, he does that every week, flatters to deceive. Zelalem is toothless, thank fek for holt, the defence reminds me of oil tankers, holy FK they can turn quicker, we need to play two in front of back four, similar to Spurs and arsenal, we leave bigger gaps than the grand effin canyon, wtf is warbs doing. Sorry guys but this lot is starting to frustrate me big time, need to stop pissing about and start destroying these crappy teams.

13 Dec 2015 18:21:12
Lack of competition, no1 needs to try hard to stay in starting line up. Players tried at first but now their place is safe, why bother? Unless hibs come off the boil, which I am sure they will, we could be in trouble.

14 Dec 2015 12:44:41
I disagree with u albertz, every single player gives their all, yeah we might not be as free scoring as we were at the start, but I think that's because teams are know putting 10 men behind the ball, remember teams last year were coming to ibrox expecting to win, we got that back a bit from the first two months of the season, but know their sitting in, but it's not all doom and gloom, I have full confidence we will win at Falkirk this Saturday, the players should be right up for it, but we will find out soon enough guys. WATP.

14 Dec 2015 14:52:33
Please remember we are playing against very, very poor opposition. It's not good enough that we can't break these sides down and are so easy to hit on the break. We need to mix things up, move ball far quicker, and find some cutting edge- otherwise hibs will win the league.

Also - why is Kiernan not dropped? He is worse than McGregor and almost as bad as mohsni. He is always getting caught out due to his poor positioning.

15 Dec 2015 00:05:42
Halliday flatters to deceive!? Are you on glue. For every tackle the boy has missed he's won 100 more. The boy is non stop and i dare to think how many goals we would have lost without him. People forget it's a whole new team, new way of playing. Some of the best teams in the world can struggle to break down teams which have 10 players within 30 yards of their own goals. The only thing I would say is I'd like to see us mix it up if need be give the other teams something different to think about.

13 Dec 2015 15:30:16
Do we honestly believe that one or two players in January is actually going to improve the team that much?

At least four in January are required.

The cover at full back, a holding midfielder, a centre back and please, we Need a Striker.

Seems obvious.

13 Dec 2015 15:49:50
We should set up some academies in China. With 1.3 billion people there are bound to be a couple of gems we could unearth. At the moment in China the state run ones charge for the pleasure of being trained and not everyone can afford the fees so If we make ours free we could get the real gems.

13 Dec 2015 16:11:21
Hopefully a couple of players will be lined up for the first week of the transfer window then about two more as soon as possible after that.

No matter how optimistic fans are, there are no doubts that more than a couple of new players are required.

It's not panic mode. It's just simple facts. The squad is by no means big enough if we get a couple of injuries. And knowing what usually happens, there is no doubt at least two of our regulars will get mid to long term injuries before the conclusion of the season.

14 Dec 2015 05:27:04
Seeing as we there is a team called Hong Kong Rangers which was set up by an avid Rangers fan, and Hong Kong alone has a higher population than Scotland, that is where I would start looking.

14 Dec 2015 16:48:22
We do have a new Chief Scout or Head of Recruitment.

Frank Mcparland has the same mind set as Mark Warburton. I suppose that means a centre forward who can play out wide as well as up front, a centre back who can play in holding midfield, and hopefully a creative midfielder who has no trouble playing on the right or left.

If we can sign someone who will make a similar impact in the second half of the season as Waghorn has done in the first, we should win the league comfortably.

13 Dec 2015 15:19:24
What's happened to Tavarnier? Not the same player he was 2 months ago.

Would also like to see young Jordan Thompson get a run in the team - class player.

Also, For last 5 / 6 weeks it Seems to me other teams know how to play us now but we have no plan b on how to change our style of play to break teams down - over to you MW! - What are we working on in training all week?

Who do fellow Bears suggest as signing targets for January?

Murray Davidson, Kyle Lafferty, Peter Pawlett, Will Vaulks?

13 Dec 2015 15:24:12
RFC111, kyle lafferty no chance, he made his bed and he sure as hell can lie in it!

13 Dec 2015 18:12:51
Jackson irvine, Ali Crawford, will vaulks and a striker.

13 Dec 2015 18:25:05
Warburtonthefifteenth, I think we need to move on from the past.
Lafferty knows where the goals are, is in good form for NI - he scored in most of the qualifying games playing through the middle.
I think he would give us the height and experience we need up front?

I also think Murray Davidson would give us the height, steel and experience in midfield and is good at arriving late to get on the end moves in the box to pitch in with some goals?

13 Dec 2015 16:18:55
Warbs15 that's the way I look at it mate, people like lafferty, Naismith, etc, I think some of our younger supporters don't realise we are Rangers fc, an institution, people jumped through loops to get a game for us. At one time, and lafferty, Naismith they obviously didn't think once a bear always a bear, some of them even earned a couple of million for lying on a table, if any firm wants to give me a couple of million for lying on a table for two years I will gladly. Work the next 5 years free of charge, seriously.

13 Dec 2015 16:55:42
Would like to see Thompson and Walsh get in.

13 Dec 2015 20:23:08
Warbs15

We have argued on this site a few times however your right about Lafferty and the other ones who jumped ship. They made their beds and none should be allowed back.

13 Dec 2015 19:35:03
Listen RFC111, kyle lafferty wanted to take the club we love to court so if you and a small minority want that kind of person back at our great club I suggest you think long and hard about especially lafferty before you try and tell me and other bears to move on, he's also a very disruptive influence in the dressing room and is in no way a player warburton would want anywhere near our dressing room as he's a stickler on team harmony! So there you have it mate.

I've been a season ticket holder and shareholder for almost 40 years now and go everywhere supporting rangers and I've never in my puff came across a rangers player and SUPPOSEDLY massive die heard 'gers fan wanting to take the club to court! Hope that answers where I and the MAJORITY of rangers supporters stand on where kyle lafferty is concerned!

14 Dec 2015 00:29:16
Warbs15 I just nipped on here before I go to my kip mate, and I'm really glad I decided to look to see what what happening before I go to the land of nod, I totally agree with your post above about lafferty, and the rest of the mob that couldn't get out the door quick enough. we sound roughly in the same age bracket mate, and I posted on here about our supporters either getting younger (on this site) they don't seem to realise what our club stands for, now, then, forever. so well in with the above post mate, i'm glad some of us still realise what the club means, goodnight all.

14 Dec 2015 06:20:47
Warbs- I agree with almost every post you put up here but to say as a younger fan that I do not realise what our club stands for is a sweeping statement that is far from true. My passion for our club is not different from yours, nor is my understanding of how a club works. I am surprised as to how men of your experience can not differentiate from a club and the business that owns it. e. g. - The greatest ever ranger refused to come to Ibrox from 2011-2015 because he couldn't stand what was happening to the club. We fully accept he was treated like dirt by the company and had to leave. but when the players do the same they are rats who abandoned ship and traitors to the club?

14 Dec 2015 08:47:36
Teddyofthesouth, I think if you read my post again mate you'll find that I didn't say anything regarding the younger generation of rangers fans not understanding the value of our club! My post said fans in general mate!

14 Dec 2015 12:49:08
Apologies Warbs was referring to billys post below yours and got confused in that regard.

14 dec 2015 14:14:43
john greig did not jump ship to join another club for money, nor was he paid, nor did he make statements suggesting we didn't have a club, get it right, he refused to sit with the people he believed, rightly were raping our club, bio big difference.

14 Dec 2015 15:05:03
So let me get it straight- if you don't think Warburton is faultless and that the players that left are akin to the devil then you aren't a proper rangers fan?

Perhaps players that stayed did so because they were on good wages and were not sure of getting the same money else where rather than out of "loyalty".

I understand the animosity to naismith, but I don't blame the others one bit. Essentially they were putting their careers in the hands of a bunch of (alleged) criminals.

15 Dec 2015 17:08:49
T.o.t.s. my point was not meant for you personally, in general the supporters at our ground are getting younger ( not just because I me getting older lol) I was talking to a couple of youngster a few weeks ago and they had never heard of players I mentioned to them. so IMO if they don't know about our past legends then they don't know too much about our club IMO, these youngsters were roughly 16 maybe 17 year old.

15 Dec 2015 14:59:55
T, o. t. s. grieg proved to be right as the rogues have been chased out the door, as I say the ex players that flew out the door milked our club, in some cases making the selfs millionaires, they should have hung around to see what they could have done to help the club IMHO, I also see that the Houses of Parliament have declared they are watching how hmrc. progress in there enquiry into s.d.

i remember when the pie man and charliebhoy were first linked on this site, I posted saying I hope Ashley regrets the day he got involved at our club, I now think he will be regretting it, his wealth in s.d. has dropped by 227 million in the last week, ha ha ha.

15 Dec 2015 23:22:28
Warbs15 an blue nose, if you were owed money by your employer and were not guaranteed future wages, would you not want to change jobs or would you just stay loyal to your employer and maybe work for free? That's why Lafferty and all the other players left!
The club was in turmoil and was allegedly bought and being run by some very unscrupulous people.

Didn't see any of the players who received EBT's (who you and the rest of us bears probably idolised) rushing to give anything back to the club!
Warbs15, how do you know Lafferty was disruptive influence? And how do you know the MAJORITY of bears wouldn't want him back?
Is this the same bears that didn't want the No. 10 from the dark side of the city?

Blue nose. How do you know what age the bears on here are?

16 Dec 2015 00:36:51
Rfc111, the player that used the e.b.t. tax scheme done nothing that was against the law. the e.b.t. were not illegal. also these players that flew out the door won't need to go on a building sight seeking employment. some of them are millionaires. like I said the other day there is a thing called loyalty. these badge kissers that loved the club sure had a funny way of showing it.

13 Dec 2015 12:16:45
I like the look of young Scottish striker Mark McNulty think he could do us a turn. Or Will Grigg at Wigan he's worked with Mark Warburton before at Brentford just 2 possibilities to help the strike force.

13 Dec 2015 12:31:51
I was watching the Man U game and saw Nick Powell coming on he is so far down the pecking order at Man U he'd be a good loan signing in January if their injury list improves.

13 Dec 2015 12:36:00
I agree but the loan market isn't going to benefit us for next season I want players in who are ready for the challenge of next year.

13 Dec 2015 12:47:38
He's been at Man U for 3years so his contract must be running down. So get him on loan with a view to signing him at end of season. I can't see Man U wanting to hold on to him as he's played more on loan since he joined them than he has the first team. He always knew the way to goal and he's only 21. The only problem might be his wages.

{Ed001's Note - Powell has had injury issues and fell out of love with the game for a while, due to off field issues, and almost retired. That is why he was out of the first team picture.}

13 Dec 2015 12:52:05
Why won't the loan market benefit is next season?
Assuming the quality is right.

13 Dec 2015 14:17:12
Hi ed. your right he has been unlucky with injuries and hopefully he's over the worst. I still think he's worth a punt and with Man U supposedly looking at the likes of Bale and Ronaldo his first team prospects might not be great. I would love him to rediscover his goal scoring form in a Rangers shirt.

{Ed001's Note - I doubt his wages would be anywhere near within reach.}

13 Dec 2015 14:24:34
Players we currently have are more than enough to win this league our biggest worry is getting in others to at least get in the top six next year.

13 Dec 2015 14:28:23
That's what I'm saying in my eyes we should be trying to get in guys on peremnant deals instead of looking for more loans because they're going to go back to their parent clubs in the summer and it leaves us with gaps to fill were as we could bed the new guys in get them ready for next year.

13 Dec 2015 16:22:15
Gs1990 I would not mind a couple of good loaners to get us promoted, after all we only need to finish top 6 in our first season back in top flight, survival our first season up is a really the main thing surely.

14 Dec 2015 00:31:48
Maybe I never put my above post properly, what I me meaning in I don't mind loan players, as long as the help us get promoted,

13 Dec 2015 12:01:48
Still top of the league boys still 3 points clear i think next week will be a test away to falkirk and hibs are at home getting 3 points there will be a task you have to think hibs will get 3 points with there home game, think we need to strengthen in january we, re getting pridicable watp.

13 Dec 2015 10:39:26
Posts calling for patience, needing more time for the players to get used to the system are missing the point. Start of season we beat Hibs 6-2 and most others by a barrel load. The time argument doesn't stand up. We need a Derek Johnstone or Mark Hately in the front line.

13 Dec 2015 11:44:01
Sorry bud but think it's u who is missing the point u have picked a freak result to base your point on. Checkout hibs starting 11 that day and look at there starting 11 now. it wasn't even a league game. do u care for the petrofac cup. Sorry but I dont. A big DJ or hately type could be an option to come of the bench if needed for a more direct approach ( basically u punt up the park and hope for the best) imo I like the system pressing attacking football. only downside is it can leave us a bit vulnerable at the back but would be more than happy to win 5-4 every week. Maybe take a look at the league table it might make u feel abit better.

13 Dec 2015 12:02:26
How many minutes would DJ last? I reckon he is past it, better to get a younger player in, just my opinion.

13 Dec 2015 12:18:44
I think everyone can see that we need an out-and-out goalscorer. Miller is OK but getting past it now. Hardie is young but hasn't been given a chance. Waghorn is scoring goals but we need someone to be the main striker and he'll get even better. Let's see who Warburton brings in next month, but I hope it is someone who can hit the ground running. Too many missed chances of late.

13 Dec 2015 12:43:24
We all have our own thoughts as to who we would like to see joining us soon ---- My thoughts are as follows -----
I would sign four players with the following attributes --
1. They must be fast 2. They must be strong and have natural footballing abilities 3. They must be six feet two inches tall (at least)
Remember that old addage ----- "A guid big yin is always better than a guid wee yin"
I wish you all a Merry Xmas.

13 Dec 2015 14:26:07
So you basically want Lewandowski? lol.

13 Dec 2015 16:04:59
Yes Tompo88 that would do very nicely ---- but will you and I have to chip in for his wages? lol.

13 Dec 2015 16:21:15
Sorry Kerry u might have to look elsewhere for someone to chip in as Tompo 88 blows his giro every second Sunday at Celtic park.
