Any news on the Rangers share issue? Not heard anything about it for a while.

The return of sir wattie is a great thing it's nothing to do with shares. Charles Green has stated we have over £22m pledged and that was two weeks ago so has increased. CG stated that anything less than £20m and he would buy the difference so forget about shares.
We are building rangers back to where it was and have wealthy wealthy guys like Hart, it's not all about fans money we do enough with our support money turning up. I'm sure CG will scupper the Alloa rumour and confirm its paid.

Believable10 Unbelievable24

The money may be pledged but that's no guarantee that that figure will still be raised hence the Share Issue Roadshow this week.

The fact that Walter comes back to Ibrox at this precise point in time suggests to me that Walter's reappearance does have at least something to do with the share issue.

BARNEY BEAR

Agree17 Disagree2

You do realise a pledge has no guarantee?

Agree10 Disagree0

There won't be a penny from me, I just can't afford it and if I had a few grand tucked away it wouldn't be on bits of paper. There's much higher priorities about a hundred of them before rangers shares. Holiday much needed, car changeout, nice clothes, kids clothes, wallpapering decorating, I need a new lawn mower and I'd love decking......

I predicted on here a couple of weeks ago that Tom walsh would play for the first team before the end of the season. He was in the first team squad at the weekend, and the young man is chapping on the door. And to those who pressed unbelievable, start to believe it.

Believable15 Unbelievable21

Its a good time to be breaking through now. If good enough they will get their chance- for at least 18 months. Some people just disagree, just the way they are. Proud moment for you if he does do it.

The news that has come out of Ibrox in the last 24 hours regarding Walter coming back is the best news I have had all year. Walter was there through the good times of 9 in a row and has came back to help when we are at our lowest - he is true legend and will bring a wealth of knowledge with him. More importantly any questions over whether Charles Green is the real deal have all but been answered. Walter has obviously been keeping a watchful eye over Green and his consortium over the past few months and if he is willing to back them then that's more than good enough for me.

Gers1986

Believable17 Unbelievable34

Couldn't have put it better I agree 100%. If they can just package the share issue with clarity over where money is going in writing plus publish accounts I will be investing in the rebirth of my team... george

Agree7 Disagree25

He wont be bringing millions to buy success though.

Agree19 Disagree2

Ya dumplin, smiths only been brought in to lead all the gullables to the wee windy where you can buy your shares in greens holding company so he can pay all the zeus mob that have the shares already their 100% profit.your club has,nt a bean in the bank, but yous will believe any thing they tell you cos your still hanging on to the hope your clubs alright.wake up and smell the coffee your clubs skint and bills are starting to mount up.ffs you cant even pay alloa 10,000k,does that no ring any warning bells.and dont believe for one minute that they would have had 500,000 to pay hearts, its all PR trickery to get the mugs to buy shares.(in a holding company .of . a holding company....gary

Agree47 Disagree11

Even though Walter stood behind Murray who lead to all this? Was he not a major part in the whole mess, look at the positives all you want but don't forget about the bad, for that's when it may happen again. All new ppl should have been the way to go but we shall see what happens, hasn't been going well with the old mentality of everyone against us and bullying tactics on or off the field.

Agree15 Disagree3

@3 your the dumpling , you obviously don't know Walter. He's not a pawn or someone who is going to be used to someone elses advantage he's come back because he knows green is the real deal. As for this Alloa nonsense I forgot you must be so much more informed than anyone else well done!

Gers1986

Agree8 Disagree16

@3 so how long have you had access to rangers bank account what you say isn't true. Watty left because he knew the Sh,t was going to hit the fan and wanted no part of it. Now green has given him proof that everything is a ok so smith is happy to come back and show his support for green as for there being no money in the bank get a grip

Agree5 Disagree12

Green will use Walters return for PR. Whilst this is true, football and the well being of the club will be Walters only interest.

THE SECRETS TO BEING RANGERS CEO

1) Embrace Ally McCoist.

2) Create enemies for the fans to villify.

WHYTE tick GREEN tick

3) Make bold financial statements that fall apart under any reasonable scrutiny.

WHYTE tick GREEN tick

4) Make signing promises that fail to materialise.

WHYTE tick GREEN tick

5) Take the club to the cleaners because ultimately I've got a history of collapsed businesses and a terrible track record and by getting them to focus on enemies and false promises I can do what the hell I want.

WHYTE tick GREEN ?

Disagree all you want but there is evidence aplenty for every claim made, and well you know it.

Just a few of differences and like most fans maybe in doubt, bringing Walter on board is a very good move as I could not see Walter accepting lies and bs off Green, too experienced.

Gaz we all make mistakes but most of us also do good things. Yes there might be evidence there to support your claim but I think green has also been involved in successful businesses. So how long until you lot except we are not going back into admin after Xmas next season when we get back to the top a decade how long. Probably until the time comes when there is none of the obsessed left yes there is evidence there but none of them have been founded yet therefore it is easy to disagree

Gaz, spends more time online with his obsession than Malware. Similar to the lesser known 'Wabbit' - The least ambitious of all malware, (timalloy is a close second)it is content simply to focus on utterly devastating a single machine. Keeps replicating itself.

Agree5 Disagree3

RTID - don't you think the "no pre-season" crap is getting boring now?

@2) Green doesn't bother me at all. I thought the Walter/Ally coup d'etat just after the failed CVA was disgraceful and I said so in here. (The phrase keep your friends close and your enemies closer springs to mind immediately by the way.)

@4) "Doing what he said"

Did he sign 5 guys from the Euro Championships? Did he have 20 backers in his consortium? Do you have no debts (external or otherwise)? They are all things he said.

@6) Evidence, was there evidence with Whyte, fill in the blanks, what happened next?

As yet not one of you has categorically debunked anything I've said.

Gaz

Agree8 Disagree3

@7 Lol, good stuff, though I take exception to one thing, I'm not obsessed I merely pity the blinkered.

@9) You never refuted one thing, just pandered the old obsessed line, any chance of a decent counter argument from you or will obessed suffice ever more?

The only time I come on here my posts relate to some idiot comment one of you has already made, moaning about Salmond not helping Rangers, how great Green is, how all Rangers footballing woes start and end with no pre-season, how a European record can be misclaimed as a world one. Less nonsense from some of you and I guarantee some of us will be less forthcoming with common sense or dare I say it, downright facts.

Gaz

Agree11 Disagree3

@6: this time last year Rangers fans were saying there was no way the club was in trouble, that the BBC doc was all lies and Whyte would come good...

Agree13 Disagree2

@7: and it seems Rangers fans are obsessed with Hearts. And Celtic's European fortunes. And the SPL in general...

Agree11 Disagree3

Gaz, you are just like the rest of cohorts on here. For your information, Green said they were looking at five at the Euros. At that time the vote re SPL was not known. It was clear that when div three came about that these targets would not pursued. As usual you take the bit that suits you at the time. One thing or sure, Gaz obsessed wit Rangers, tick

Agree1 Disagree5

Come off it Gaz.

1. Even if the unthinkable happened and it was Peter Lawell taking the helm at Rangers he would have embraced Ally given the situation he would be faced with. That isn't even remotely a decent point to make. Anyone taking over would have done the exact same thing to get the fans onside straight away, particularly with the Blue Knights, Walter etc still hovering around, making the situation even more difficult for him. Whether or not he sticks with him remains to be seen though. Depends on the fans.

2. Point 2 is 50-50. He has given his opinion (I assume you are referring to the 'bigotry' line as an example) on how he views things at a point in time when Rangers were/still are under siege from almost every direction imaginable. If he did not speak up then he wouldn't be doing his job (not saying he was right with everything he said - just defending his right to an opinion). Did you ever criticise anyone from your club claiming there was/is an agenda or bias against Celtic and openly accusing those they felt were responsible even when they were proved wrong? Ah, of course, that would happen to be true 150% of the time so its not comparable, lol, yeah right.

3. I will concede he has made silly statements in terms of finances but I think he is implying that the club will be in the black (as opposed to debt-free which is almost impossible for any person/club/company to be - if the papers get delivered in the morning then that constitutes a debt until they are paid, for example) at the end of the year. Difficult to argue against that one (show me a valid and reliable source re the Alloa thing and I might take it seriously) since we will have taken in two seasons worth of season ticket money, whatever he gets for the share issue, plus the % increases in comparison to previous years in relation to catering and merchandising minus a vastly reduced wage bill and standard costs attributable to running a football club. Plus, for all we know he could have two holding companies operating (one deliberately kept debt free purely for the footballing side and one responsible for all the finances which would clearly have debt) in which case, technically, he would be correct on both counts. As far as the twenty backers goes he said he had twenty people willing to invest big money in the club. When did he say it though? That's right, when he, and the alleged backers, thought we would remain an SPL club. He then had to get the begging bowl out and go round potential investors willing to invest in a club which would be playing in the BOTTOM TIER of Scottish football when most of them didn't materialise. An easy sell?

4. I had to laugh out loud at that one. Surely that is said tongue firmly in cheek. The five players from the Euro's were mentioned, once again, when he thought we would remain in the SPL. Once we ended up in the 3rd we couldn't hold onto the decent players we had, never mind bring in players of that quality and pay them the wages they would have demanded. That would have seen us heading straight back towards administration. Come off it Gaz. I actually liked his line comparing Ally to a woman shopping for shoes as it proved he wasn't willing to do a Murray and give his manager a blank cheque to sign players he shouldn't need. The ones he did get will get us out of the Division and that is all we need for this year. It suggested to me that he is going to run it prudently and keep a tight reign on spending, unlike Murray or Whyte. Another moot point for me.

5. Time will tell but you are bang on with your assessment of Whyte to be fair.

Brian

So what has changed for Walter to come back.He did not like greens plans for the club Nothing has changed .And Walter did say it is a new club no history will he change his mind on this also .All is not right at ibrox I feel there is trouble ahead big trouble..

Believable25 Unbelievable26

U r the type of person, that even if u woke up and won the lottery. u.d still be hacked off that its raining outside

Agree14 Disagree10

We are not parly to what has changed Walters mind. Perhaps Green has given him private assurances about the way he intends to take the club forward. Charles Green needs Walter on board to help boost the credibility of the share Issue and Walter is too savvy to allow Green to pull the wool over his eyes. bigbaz

Agree6 Disagree7

Well if you are right about trouble, WS is just wasting his time on the board. Everyone knows there will be challenges ahead, who knows what will transpire as time goes by. One thing I know, if CGs group had not come in when they did, we would have no club. All the doubters may be proved correct, but............lets just let it run its course.

Agree7 Disagree6

Could it be Charles Green is already planning his exit strategy and that Walter and his Latest Kinghts will be launching another bid to buy Rangers in the not too distant future after the share issue?

BARNEY BEAR

Agree9 Disagree5

He's surely not there as a Judas goat , is he ? He hasn't the skills needed to be a non-exec for AIM purposes .

Agree10 Disagree3

Green is only days away from being found out point 1 he tries 2 get hearts to take 500k now but at the same time he has asked alloa for 6weeks to pay the gate money for cup tie the hearts thing was just a publicity stunt 2 make it look like he had the money or he would pay alloa not ask foe extra 6weeks {The Ed039's Note - Do you believe all the rumours you read on forums, again can someone supply something official if Green has asked this? Is it perhaps more to do with the non-bank that Green has to use and the amount of time it takes to make a withdrawal? All a non story if you ask me)

Agree9 Disagree4

Seems more likely an AIM float needs additional non-execs, and so two added to meet requirement....

are they shareholders...? more to the point.

There are 3 probable groups dissing
Ally on here contunally.

2. Glory Hunters
3. So called fans who have never set

OP and Bocanegra and Goian could be back after their loan spells.

Agree4 Disagree11

Smith will just bring confusion as to his role which appears ill defined. He will tread around as an inexperienced first time director and be more trouble than he's worth. He's obviously been convinced the survival of the club greatly depends on him coming in and he's been shown the books. His job is to coalesce fans into parting with money (as usual) whilst once again, like Ally, he takes a salary and benefits out the club.

Agree14 Disagree14

Sdm made him a director after nine inca row, it was on TV and in all the newspapers, historical fact. He never relinquished that appointment even on going to SFA as Scotland manager. On liquidation he and hart are out of association football for 5 years. This is Green setting up the SFA for conflict in enforcing this Uefa regulation when oldco is liquidated.

Agree12 Disagree6

Re 2] and 3] Forever the pessimists, anything done and someone will find a minus about it, as for 2] you obviously know what his role is, could you let us all know.

Agree2 Disagree2

Ah, the good old proper pre-season rears its ugly head again. It is closer to Christmas than it is July and that is still doing the rounds.

If QOTS counts as a defeat then Rangers three defeats so far came in their 8th, 12th and 15th games, get over yourself and embrace reality!

@5 The reality is The Rangers will always be Scotlands best loved/supported premier club and you cant STAND that can you...... :)
Plying their trade in the bottom tier and STILL grab all the attention.

Agree5 Disagree6

'The obsessed' as you call them (plenty of Rangers fans 'obsessed' about Hearts last week and with Celtic last week) are desperate for Ally to stay, not dissing him.

Agree6 Disagree1

Obsessed because constantly on gers pages, Did some go on hearts page last week? If in a years time they are still going onto hearts pages- every hour/ every day- then you can then call them the 2nd most obsessed set of fans in our country. Until then the 'self proclaimed' will hold that honour.

Agree2 Disagree2

@6 you reckon you had worldwide attention last Thursday, Friday do you? Only worldwide attention you have had all year was "Rangers collapse" "Rangers in admin" "Liquidation" etc etc. I'll prefer our worldwide attention of late if you don't mind.

I couldn't care one iota about your club but the "pre-season" nonsense doesn't wash considering when the club suffered it's losses. Fair enough losing three of first four games then going on a good run but if your not up to speed by game 15 then either you're not that good or the manager isn't. You choose?

Agree5 Disagree3

@8: you, and others, doth protest too much. There are loads of Rangers fans on other pages, mostly Celtic, and nothing near administration or liquidation has occured. Surely the problems with your club and the fact it's now in the bottom tier mean that others will take an interest, even if it is out of a humour-driven curiousity and/or to wind you up. Yet you feebly insist it's obsession. Or can you just not handle the fact they're allowed on here?

Agree4 Disagree2

13 Nov 2012 04:12:04
Btw i love how "some" have jumped on my mention of the pre season. My whole point being,
I believe the Gers' will be in the 2nd div next season. The team will have gelled and they will have a pre season to look forward to. So everything will be back to normal and a lot more settled. I would just love to see what other fans would say should their team be in the exact same scenario. Always have been, always will be DOUBLE STANDARDS! RTID

Agree0 Disagree0

@10 had a quick check and none actually I scrolled back as far as I could and only found 9 comments from rangers fans honestly in your attempt to prove you ain't obsessed you just become more obsessed. I think it's time you admit the point then maybe you can get the help you so desperately need. Your own team is doing well having its best euro run for years but you constantly have to go on about a team in the third div it has been suggested that the reason parkheid has so many empty seats every second week is that thousands of fans simply forget to turn up due to the fact they are to busy trolling sites of a team they say is only 4 months old. This is becoming such a problem that doctors have a name for it rangeritis symptoms include slavering Sh,t about a certain team trying to convince themselves a certain team no longer exists spending hours a day trolling a site with a certain teams name on it then trying to say that said page was not set up for fans of that certain team posting comments about certain team and thinking them funny when it is quite clear they are just cringe worthy and last but by no means least being completely obsessed with a certain team. This is becoming such a big concern for a slightly smaller team in Glasgow that they are thinking of ways to remind fans that there own team are playing. One idea was to phone fans up on the morning of the game but this idea was scraped after they trialed it on 10 fans and all turned round with the response sorry mate can you phone back later I've got to go post something on rangers banter
