Hi fellow bears, just like to get my tuppence in regarding Kent. Although I think he is a good enough player I really don't think he is worth the kind of money being banded about. To be honest I don't really think we need him, although perhaps another loan period would be okay. If we do sell Alf I think the money would be far better spent on an out and out striker, to boost our firepower.

I think a loan with an option to buy would be ideal, as he was showing a wee bit more consistency towards the end of last season and if he was to kick on from there then he would be a +£10M player.

According to the transfermarkt Ojo is valued at 2M now we don’t know how much Liverpool would want for him but surely if the price is right we should just buy him and make his loan a permanent one maybe at the end of the season start of the new one. He certainly looks a player.

Please stop taking valuations off of transfermarket. com, it talks pish. The fact that he has signed a 5 year contract at Liverpool and that they rate him higher than Kent, a player they apparently want £12 million for, means that we can not and will not be buying him, end of.

Unfortunately, transfermarkt valuation mean SFA. His valuation is whatever his club want for him. End of story. We need to stop going off what a website says someone is valued at or what wage someone is on. None of these things will be disclosed by club or player. It's pure guess-tamation.

ive said before kent isn't really needed. jones is overall going to be as good if not better value over a season. He is not a kid so doesn't need coddling.

If Kent plays well he stays at Liverpool, in the squad. If he wants to return here then he's doing the right thing in not catching Klopp's eye, ergo making it likely he'll be back.

We will see a few players over the coming weeks being either released from their contract or sold on, some others are being loaned out. A few senior players are being moved on due to injury or do not suit SG future plans - these players are Rangers players until they are released but a few posters on here are calling them 'Deadwood'.

what a horrible use of a word, Rangers Fans should never call Rangers players Deadwood - they may not be playing for all kind of reasons, most of which we do not know.

I have had the unfortunate scenario of being made redundant a couple of times - it is not nice, can be undermining and debilitating. Please choose your words carefully. Our competitors can do the slagging off - we can do the encouragement.

I suppose if you wan to split hairs, you could class Kranjcar, Clint Hill and Barton as deadwood as they are a the end of the careers. Jason Holt, Herrera and Garner not good enough. Mcrorie, Murphy, Candias, Lafferty and Halliday may find themselves or are surplus to requirements for now or in the near future as we've improved and we are bringing in a better standard of player. Simple as that. However I agree that there are ways to deal with departing players. We want the players to keep supporting as this will help raise the profile all round the world. Such as ex pros going to the conventions or charity and pundit work. It also creates a network that was sadly demolished that enhances our scouting system. We still see and hear some of our ex players talking fondly of the club I for one want that to continue. If any player signs and the gives their all but can't cut it, then we should be decent enough to say cheers, thanks for trying and good luck down the road - don't be a stranger. Coming to Rangers should be seen as a massive challenge to be sought after for a player and not something to be feared but embraced. SG is creating a hard but fair environment and I can't imagine he would ever have a player in his office and say your deadwood and these two guys are here to take you for a drive in the countryside, Pedro might have gone down that route which is not Rangers. SG has in one year raised the standards in how we go about our business in every way, off and on the pitch. If a player takes the piss then this should be dealt with behind closed doors professionally and quickly and in a away that does not leave us open to criticism like any other industry I suppose, negative news is not good for the club.
