Still no new news about our fight against the cockney who goes by the name of mike ashley! He's tried in vain to hurt our club by getting his claws more and more into us!
Feel so sorry for an absolutely wonderful football club like newcastle utd and the toon army's fight, in trying to get him to sell up and GTF out their club! I totally wish them all the best, in their ever continual fight against him! He's wasting a fantastically, unique football club, who have by far the 2nd best supporters in the world, behind us of course! The geordies are great loyal fans, just like the glasgow rangers fans! Newcastle utd have a very real chance of getting relegated,
for the 3rd time in his ownership, because of him! He's disinterested in newcastle and is greedy

12 Jan 2019 22:40:27
He's a rat. Holding us back at every turn. can't wait for the day he's not got any claim on us.

12 Jan 2019 23:04:19
Sup, Mike Ashley is a good representation of British Business in the UK at the moment:
1. Set targets,
2. Squeeze work force and remove all benefits,
3. Reduce standards,
4. Go Cheap on all fronts,
5. No or small pay rise.
6 Achieve set targets.
7. Receive bonus of 6 or 7 figures!

that is British business, I have many years experience and its just morally wrong. As soon as I hear the word bonus I think corruption.

12 Jan 2019 23:07:23
I couldn't care less about Newcastle. i'm sure that they care just as little about our club!

13 Jan 2019 19:43:44
Commonsense, first and foremost i only support one football club, the famous glasgow rangers and that will be the case, 'till the day i die mate! I have a soft spot for newcastle utd, as they are my favourite english club that i like to see winning, more than any other down south! Nothing more, nothing less.

I've got a few good pals of mine from newcastle, who are and always will be good friends! They all are season ticket holders with the geordies and the lot of them like rangers up here! I was only stating that ashley is treating their loyalty with total disrespect, the way he's running that terrific football club!

We should know,
because we have that in common with them, regarding mike ashley, although not in the same scale as them and what they've had to endure! So that's why i also feel sorry for newcastle utd!

13 Jan 2019 22:25:16
I don't have another favourite club. Its all about the Rangers 😉.

12 Jan 2019 21:35:06
First time poster, just wondering if anyone knew when team was leaving Tenerife, my 15 year is going over tomorrow he follows all games home and away it would make his holiday to get pics with them.

{Ed0333's Note - I think they left on Monday 7th Jan and we’re going to be there for 6 days. Please forgive me if I’m wrong.

12 Jan 2019 21:43:27
Thanks, if he misses them I’ll just need to go to airport and get my pic with Defoe:) never mind the boy lol.

{Ed0333's Note - that’s what I like to see a bit of selfishness it’s not all about the kids lol

12 Jan 2019 22:00:52
That's no what t said about the kids 😂😂.

12 Jan 2019 23:47:34
Good one going for 55 class! 👏🏻.

12 Jan 2019 21:05:08
Just saw Morelos video in Tenerife claimed by the paper he was being taunted by celtic fans just got to say the woman in the video is an embarrassment haha. Can’t believe they still hate the wee guy all because they lost a game of football for the first time in 13 games grow up!

12 Jan 2019 19:41:03
Quick question should we play a weakened team against Cowdebeith or make sure of the win with a close to full strength one?

12 Jan 2019 20:03:23
Absolutely close if not full strength. It's a potential trophy at the end of the day. I imagine stevie g will maybe have one or two youths on the bench. Put out a full stretch aquad and secure the win by 60 mins then bring on some younger boys.

12 Jan 2019 20:45:46
That’s a hard one probably would start a strong side to try and finish it as quick as we can and get the younger guys to come on for a taste of first team football. Depends on what the park is like to depends who can be risked on it and who can’t but then again we have to difficult away games on terrible parks the next 2 league games.

12 Jan 2019 22:38:40
Think it will be the trialing of a new system maybe. Can see us going 2 through middle up top. Maybe even 343 with morelos defoe through the middle and kent roaming scross the front. Tav right side davis and jack centre. Goldson mcaulay and worral 3 at back.

12 Jan 2019 23:28:23
Personally i'd rest McGregor. i'd play Flanagan, katic, Worrall, halliday
McCrorrie, coulibaly, Middleton, grezda (if fit), lafferty and hardie up top. Have a wee look at hardie for an hour before he goes back out on loan then give defoe and davis last 20/ 30 to give them a wee run out. i'd go with very similar on Sunday and completely change it at half time with a couple more young lads included. Just my opinion though.

13 Jan 2019 00:57:59
What no keeper stuart? Well suppose that will give them a chance.

13 Jan 2019 10:59:30
Cowdenbeath will win that game with ease.

13 Jan 2019 14:50:20
If hardie plays he needs to stay can only play for 2 teams in a season.

13 Jan 2019 19:43:01
Jcarr could still go back to Livi.

13 Jan 2019 20:21:51
Wasnt sure if it worked like tht mate, i just knew the rule about playing for 2 teams.

12 Jan 2019 17:55:46
Let's be honest and totally objective, Celtic remain odds on favourites to win the league (check odds at bookies) . We have a chance but slightly concerned too many on here and players getting carried away after result on 29th.

12 Jan 2019 18:31:11
What a negative post. i'd prefer to be positive and firmly believe we will win the league this season. Celtic are starting to feel the heat and they don't like it. With our new signing we can only get better. So let's start believing. Plus I've got a tenner on us at 9/ 1.

12 Jan 2019 19:05:36
A would agree 100% goalie let's get behind our team. Aye so what we might be getting carried away and so we should that lot are rubbishting themselves so let's go!

12 Jan 2019 18:23:22
With their high wage bill and dominance over the last couple of seasons they should be favourites!
But Broony's legs have gone, the Thumb is MIA and with Tierney now injured the tide has turned. Throw in our January recruitment compared to them and we've strengthened the squad whereas they have only added numbers.

12 Jan 2019 19:19:20
I've also bet rangers at 9/ 1 goalie!
Regarding bankie, its just a typical post from him goalie! I wouldn't pay much attention to the post!

12 Jan 2019 19:20:41
Only stating the obvious. Every time this season when we get into a great position we have let ourselves down. Could be down to combination of complacency and false expectations. 2 weeks after beatings the Tim’s too many continue to be soaking it up including most worryingly some of the players.

12 Jan 2019 19:29:22
I think it’s them that are getting carried away constantly abusing our Alfie on the pitch in the street in the media and now at the training camp in Tenerife they lose one goal and one game and they go full tonto well a hope the wee loan Ranger Defoe comes to his aid and bangs the goals in for 55 they know the wee mans a player and they are trying to drive him out of Scotland absolutely shocking as mertin would say what they are doing to this boy they are trying to bully him but from what i saw its their defence that got bullied big time!

12 Jan 2019 19:39:08
Bankie please explain "your only stating the obvious "? Rangers are building momentum and confidence . We now have a great management team with great players. I really don't understand your negative views. You actually sound like a Celtic fan!

12 Jan 2019 19:59:27
A think you might be right goalie Clydebank is full of them lol.

12 Jan 2019 20:07:45
Goalie. Think we have been top of the league 2 or 3 times this season and have got carried away and suffered as a consequence. For example I now see Halliday commenting about significance of his tackle at start of the Tim’s game and Arfield taking further joy at his celebrations, to name just a few. Over the years I have seen this type of behaviour and attitude many times and it usually does not end well. Let’s be honest, as good as we were on the 29th, The Tim’s were rubbish and not competitive. Only a fool celebrates when nothing has been won.

12 Jan 2019 20:51:45
We are in the best position we have been for years we deserve to be excited who wouldn’t be? In all truth we should be away and gone the amount of daft points we have dropped away from last minute goals Aberdeen and Motherwell Dundee playing against 10men 2 points dropped. Livingston deserved to beat us that 100% and it will be tough again on the 27th at Livingston. Draw at home to killie lose to Aberdeen. Hibs home and away 2 games we should most definitely had won especially at there place.

12 Jan 2019 20:57:22
Bankie a get the point being quiet untill it's over but we've got the momentum now and we've got the so called monkey off the back by beating them the tide is changing and they are rubbishting there pants. Our new signings ie Defoe and Davis have got the experience to stop us losing these games and get us over the line now. We need to stop these tatties wining the title and a think we are going for it!

12 Jan 2019 21:20:18
I'm convinced bankie is a celtic fan. The absolute guff he comes out with, he must be a celtic supporter!
Own up bankie, your cover is blown my friend!

12 Jan 2019 21:26:11
Guys we dropped 12 points in December.

12 Jan 2019 21:59:12
Look at the positive sign we are sitting joint top still albeit they have a game in hand but they still need to try and win that game! We can only try and if we win it we win it as the old saying goes take it a game at a time! Morelos and Defoe partnership sounds one helluva prospect though! Davis is Davis just a top player.

12 Jan 2019 22:01:36
Celtic fan alright coop! remember a few weeks ago he was stating you couldn’t buy any rangers stuff online.

12 Jan 2019 23:33:06
Aye clydebank is full of them lads, mostly all my mates are and I'm loving the panic and fear in them these days😉.

12 Jan 2019 23:54:08
Bankie, you sound like a right good laugh mate! Do you ever say anything positive? Enjoy Rangers, enjoy life, have a beer, pull a girl, get rid of all that frustration!

13 Jan 2019 01:02:29
Win all our games and draw with them at the piggery and take the league on goal differance would do me my friends.

13 Jan 2019 08:48:05
Wake up William, wake up.

13 Jan 2019 14:49:34
Tinman I know what you mean about Clydebank, I live there. We are now very much in the minority. Remember there is a helluva lot of people of Southern Irish descent in clydebank. But like a good Ger I just grin and bear it, and wind them up as much as possible. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS.

13 Jan 2019 14:57:02
Celtic have signed no one that will improve their starting 11 and their starting 11 is there to be had. The 29th proved that they can't cope with pressure. 👍.

13 Jan 2019 16:11:55
Coldo, Celtic are folding, Brendan has took them as far as he could. I think there is a bit of friction between Brenda and the board, i think he will be offski at the end off the season. Rangers are getting their act together which has been a long time coming. We will win the league this year. Good times lie ahead.

12 Jan 2019 16:34:01
Zak rudden scores for falkirk.

12 Jan 2019 18:21:49
hes on a wee run the now that's a good few games in a row he's scored fingers crossed.

12 Jan 2019 18:24:53
Bizarre that some have disagreed with a basic fact.

12 Jan 2019 20:39:50
The obsessed never away from here.

13 Jan 2019 20:43:47
We are definitely in a title race, however we need to hit the ground running from Friday onwards.
Difficult games away to killie, Livingston and sheep. We must win these matches now.

12 Jan 2019 14:47:21
A would like to think that Greg Stewart would be a great signing for us more the merrier a say to push for the title. Jones and kamara time will tell if they can do the business for us but if they are doing good against the so called lesser teams the now they will have a better chance way us am sure. Would love if we could get Kent but surely have strengh and depth in these positions now.

12 Jan 2019 15:09:43
Agree with you goingfor55 100%.

12 Jan 2019 17:28:10
Totally disagree with this. We need a much higher quality of player than Stewart if we want to dominate. Would do as a squad player but will replace some current first team players with better quality making them squad players. We need to be looking at good quality youngsters who have played 100plus games. Would take ryan gauld before looking at stewart. No better than what we have.

12 Jan 2019 17:55:50
Don’t want break your heart mate but Ryan Gauld? The next best thing who went to Lisbon and done eh what was . nothing! And why he has ended up at hibs under Lennon. couldn't even hack it at a lower Portuguese team either. He’s no better than Kent, Murphy, candeias. Maybe could be ok if we played in the 3rd division again. You said aim for good quality Ryan Gauld isn't that.

12 Jan 2019 17:59:59
Yeah a would agree to a certain extent bellshilllad83 would definitely be good as a squad player and maybe send young middleton out on loan to get more experience and maybe come back a better player. As for young players that have played 100 games who would u say? Players in Scotland?

13 Jan 2019 18:28:18
Greg Stewart recalled by Birmingham.

12 Jan 2019 13:40:20
grambo overtime jones has played us he has took the pish out tav and same as that muppet lustig, jones will be a great addition.

12 Jan 2019 14:21:52
Wouldn't take a great winger to take the pish out tav, saying that Jones was really quiet the last time we played Killie and if I remember correct tav had Jones in his back pocket.

12 Jan 2019 15:12:04
How many wingers do we have. why sign more. the guy we should be bending over backwards to get is ryan kent. There needs to be a clearout still of players. How many midfielders do we have its getting silly.

12 Jan 2019 15:16:13
Lets be perfectly honest here guys regarding jordan jones. If we can hopefully keep ryan kent, then there's absolutely no way, that jones will play on our left wing, in front of kenty! I posted on here in december, that the best piece of transfer business we can do this transfer window, is to get ryan kent signed on a permanent deal, or worst case scenario, on at least an extended loan deal, beyond this season! Make no bones about it, ryan kent is way ahead of jordan jones, in ability! Kent is our no.1 left winger with jones and middleton as back up. I would honestly state a case for kent to play as our no.10,thats how good this kid is IMO!

12 Jan 2019 16:01:07
Gerrard must see something in jones. He’s certainly better than Grezda that’s for sure.

12 Jan 2019 17:04:33
Coop, Kent would be a great permanent signing for us and i believe he's enjoying his time here at Rangers. My question is, how much would it to sign him from Liverpool?

12 Jan 2019 17:32:36
In my opinion SG is building a squad to challege for 4 trophies next year. He is looking to have competition for the starting 11 but also able replacements that will seamlessly slot into first team when needed. Jones for me will be used as a game changer. Brought on when if kent stays and gets tired to run at tired defenders.

12 Jan 2019 17:59:07
Goalie, I reckon around £3-£4million would probably secure ryan kent permanently mate!

12 Jan 2019 18:32:41
Coop, snap him up!

12 Jan 2019 19:02:20
Kent should be our number 1 signing target boy has real ability able to use both feet, pace and great work ethic. get him signed.

12 Jan 2019 13:37:48
So the defeatist McInnes says there's not going to be a title race! What a pathetic wee cretin he is! I'm so glad this Muppet was a bottle merchant and couldn't take the reigns at Ibrox. hard to imagin we actually offered him the gig. certainty he's no winner mentality whatsoever, stick to the sheep Derek.

12 Jan 2019 14:40:31
Yip, bgate w, we dodged a big bullet when delboy mcinnes turned down the rangers manager's job! You're correct, the guy hasn't the mentality, to be the glasgow rangers manager, which i got pelters on here,
When i said that at the time! If he had the bottle to take the rangers job back then, we would have never beaten celtic or had any hope of winning the league, under his tenure!
He also bottled the sunderland job.
All this tells me the sheep are his limitations and he knows his limitations! He's at the correct club, with their expectations and his, a total bottler and defeatest! Not in the same planet as steven gerrard!

12 Jan 2019 15:47:06
Supercoop, way back were you not on here telling us how good a manager McInnes would be for us, being a supporter, understands the club tradition and values etc.

12 Jan 2019 15:58:30
A back Coop on this one as McInnes was never my choice. No ambition and he can rot up there and probably league 2 down in England will be his next step🇬🇧.

12 Jan 2019 15:59:41
Believe McInnes didn’t want job as his number 2 and massive Tim was not required at Ibrox 🇬🇧.

12 Jan 2019 16:26:29
I can assure you bankie and i'm positive both the ED and yately1 will back me up here, i never wanted derek mcinnes as rangers manager, so as usual you're talking absolute s***e!
I'm sure the ED can check back my posts regarding what i posted regarding delboy mcinnes, to yet again prove you wrong! Do you come from Mars, bankie?

12 Jan 2019 16:27:52
Most of us didn’t want mcinnes it was just we we’re under increadable pressure and he was the the obvious choice . personally back then I would have even took billy Davis before him. but Stevie has been sent from the gods. so the rest is history. Mcinnes could never handle the bears on his back after a couple of defeats. At pitodrie he could end up 4 th and survive . and be happy. Stevie never happy with second never mind 4 th.

12 Jan 2019 17:06:11
Supercoop, it may have been before you changed your name on here.

12 Jan 2019 17:14:23
Its worked out great for Rangers. Who would of thought that Stevie Gerrard would be our manager. He has attracted top players to our club that McInnis would not. His name alone sells merchandise. And in top of that he has turned out to be a top manager. I dread to think where we would be under McInnis. So i thankyou Derek McInnis for refusing to be Rangers manager!

12 Jan 2019 18:03:58
As i said bankie the Ed can check back to prove you wrong. Maybe it was you who waxed lyrical about delboy mcinnes, wouldn't be in the least surprised, with the drivel you spout!

12 Jan 2019 18:56:48
In fairness to bankie coop you've come up with some OTT stuff in the past and it's hard to keep up with it all. In the last month how many players have you named as possible number 10's! For what its worth though I agree completely about McInnes. His arse went big time when he was offered the managers job.

12 Jan 2019 19:05:12
Check back yerselfs boys on the archives . but hey why argue we’ve got Stevie g.

12 Jan 2019 19:28:00
You know me better than me blueberry! You're like the obsessive mob from the eastend! Maybe you can tell me how many no.10's i mentioned! You know everything else about me pal! By mentioning possible no.10"s on here, its called football talk and glasgow rangers talk, with possibilities about who we could get to play in our no.10 role! Nothing more nothing less blueberry, so what's your agenda pal?

12 Jan 2019 20:13:13
Who said I knew anything about you coop? I simply pointed out you've mentioned various players for the role of a number 10. Each one brilliant (according to you) . And when anyone disagrees or pulls you up for havering sh*te. You then either call folk names, accuse them of being a c*ltic fan or accuse them of having an agenda.

12 Jan 2019 21:26:07
You should know about havering absolute s***e, because bankie and you between you spout nothing BUT absolute s***e!

12 Jan 2019 22:01:05
Brilliant bgate . contradict yourself about tav in the same post ha st least use different posts.

12 Jan 2019 22:22:08
Classy response coop. Brilliant banter.

13 Jan 2019 11:09:30
Supercooper, the guy who wouldn't touch mcin ness with a bargepole but championed BILLY DAVIES long on hard on here 😂😂😂 your forever name calling supercooper, but to be honest you have probably posted more nonsense on here than anybody else on this site.

12 Jan 2019
New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, Found this clearing out my late brother's house, classic

13 Jan 2019 14:52:21
Sorry for your loss canada bear👍. Great picture tho👍.

12 Jan 2019 10:15:52
RE: Poll on Ranger singing footballers on abilities only. I wholeheartedly agree with this versus the Catholic or Protestant argument. However signing for Rangers is not just about footballing ability and never will be. To be a Ranger is something very special and I believe all players have to sign u to a list of very strict rules and deal with a lot of stuff we never see or hear about. If it was ability only, Windass and Pena would still be playing. If you could name one player as the Ranger role model flawless ON and OFF the pitch from past and present, who would it be. Bomber Brown, John Greig, Souness Albertz, Laudrup?

12 Jan 2019 14:26:07
Football ability is a must but not all. players need the right mentality and attitude to play for rangers. players with good ability have failed to make the grade at rangers before regardless of religion or Creed.

12 Jan 2019 14:42:56
Richard gough would also have to be on that list! He was an absolute superb rangers captain and IMO, the best centre half to have played for rangers, bar none!

12 Jan 2019 15:21:32
Sup, great shout don't know how on Earth I forgot Gough. In recent years has to be the benchmark.

12 Jan 2019 15:38:58
TJBB
What do you think the strict rules are that we never hear about?

Can’t be that strict when Michael O hallaron
is in the Celtic end at Hamden. I hope you are correct as we need to set the benchmark for standards. Playing for Rangers should be an honour.

12 Jan 2019 17:30:21
Hi William, I say they have to follow strict rules, I think there is a big folder of dos and donts, eg. you will be sent home if you're not wearing a suit to Ibrox. I then go on to say they have to deal with off the field stuff most of which we never find out about, the extensive charity work for example. Perhaps under Warburton and Pedro our traditions/ standards fell short and the players they signed didn't achieve the Rangers standard. Gerrard will bring us back in line with a fist of Iron and will not sign a player not willing to run through a wall, get up and do it again and again, then go to a hospital full of children and brighten their day up.

12 Jan 2019 14:27:00
Wrong TJBB, windass and pena lacked ability, that's why they don't play for us anymore. I do agree though that it takes more than ability to play for us 👍.

12 Jan 2019 06:22:52
Looking at the fixtures list post split we are going to have to be taking near max points to stay in title race and away record needs to improve a lot. I think we can do it but max points against Kilmarnock and Livingston away in Jan is a MUST.

Celtic have 8 home games from 13 and only really tricky away games are Kilmarnock, Hearts and St Johnstone

We have 5 homes games from 12 and tricky away games against Kili, Livingston, Aberdeen, Hibs, Celtic and Motherwell. We dropped points in 5 of the 6 reverse fixtures however on the positive we should have won against Aberdeen, Hibs and Motherwell I can't see us playing that badly against Livingston again and we have the believe that we can go up against Celtic and win.

It's going to take a very special effort from our team but if we are within 3 points come the split GAME ON!

12 Jan 2019 19:16:41
Well said BRW11. Davis and Defoe will make a difference and Dorrans will hopefully be back soon. I agree that maximum points against Killie and Livingston is essential then kick off from there. I hope SG plays a steady back four now. With no European games to worry about this is important.

(4-4-2) McGregor; Tavernier, Goldson, Worrall, Barisic (if fit) ; Jack, McCrorie, Arfield, Davis; Morelos, Defoe

Halliday and Candeias will be useful on the bench.

12 Jan 2019 21:10:36
If Gerrard changes to 4-4-2, I think it would that team doiger. Except I think he'd drop mccrorie, put Davis in his place and play Kent or candieas. He might keep to the side that beat c*ltic and gradually introduce Davis and Defoe?

11 Jan 2019 23:59:56
Assuming Rossitor is fit then why is he not getting any game time, after all he was an under 20s England Captain, thought he looked really useful any time he’s not played.
Your thoughts Bears?

12 Jan 2019 06:30:52
Simple, he’s not up to the job unfortunately 🇬🇧.

12 Jan 2019 08:06:46
It’s like the gaffer has said, he needs eased back to fitness after such a terrible time with injuries. Also has to win a jersey in the midfield which will be even harder now as Davis will be in there too. Good problems to have though!

12 Jan 2019 14:27:10
Yately, unlike some, not that simple. Rossiter is an amazing talent. After the hibs 5.5 game people on here were demanding he were made captain . Stevie as wee bear says is nursing him along. The minutes he has played I thot he was really good . we just need to be patient. I really really hope he comes into it. People on here were giving it to Alfredo and time and time again me and a few others stuck our necks out for him. I think Jordon is the same with regards To us being a little patient. On the plus side. Stevie seems to still want him around.

12 Jan 2019 14:30:39
Its going to be very hard to get in the team ahead of jack arfield mccrorie and davis. 👍.
