I'm a very proud Rangers man tonight having qualified from a Champions League quality group. Very nervy towards the end, but we were the better team, and should have been at least 3 up at half time. I have to say, I was disappointed with Kent tonight, he showed flashes yes, but I want him to be more direct and get more shots a goal away. All in all though, an excellent night for us,

The pitch didn't help him tonight. He was seeming to struggle s bit with his footing on his quick turns. How good was some of big aribos footwork tonight tho man, unbeilavsble.

Fantastic to get out of the group. Though kamara was woeful 2nd half tho. Slightly concerning how much we have controlled last 3 games and not won any if them. But all that matters is were in the hat would like a crack at Arsenal.

As everyone on here knows i'm a massive fan of ryan kent, but i do agree with you irvger on last night's showing. He didn't have a great game at all. Borna Barisic was certainly my motm last night as offensively and defensively he was excellent and very unlucky with his own goal. Thought jack and alfredo were also excellent for us! To be in the round of 32 is a tremendous achievement for stevie G and our club. To see how much we've come since he became our manager is superb. His european record as a rangers manager of just 18 months is incredible! Very proud of everything rangers and the direction we're going! 😂👍.

Tommy .? No One tav was immense. pure captains role . Katic . Goldson pass marks . Arfield pass mark . Aribo . Kamara immense first half . Aribo fell away badly second . jack . Alfie immense. Ryan Kent 50 / 50 ojo very poor . shagger 50/ 50 . we are thru but it’s testimony to the team that most bears thought we should have won that group especially after first half . they were desperate. threw on three extra attackers but we should have picked them off on counter . three / four times ojo just not doing it when chance was on . but we are through . that’s the main thing.

TommyRangers, you've got to be kidding! Tavernier, Barisic, Morelos all outstanding, Aribo and Kamara both had a great first 60 mins, Jack had a fine game apart from his sending off, we are through to the last 32 in Europe at just our second attempt, the whole performance was very good although a bit nervy near the end, we were playing the Swiss champions who this time last season were in the Champions league, I could go on but really you are a waste of time.

Mediocre second half but common TommyRangers no one with pass marks?
I thought barisic was superb at both ends of the park. I also thought morelos and jack were superb! We were good first half I thought but looked tired in the second half and feel gerrard should have used all his subs sooner and waited a bit too long for me! But our results in Europe speak for themselves mate! 😂👍.

Well tommy you have finally lost the plot after the rabble last week of jack not being good enough or rangers quality in amoungst wanting josh windass back your claiming nobody got pass marks last night. Personally the only players for me who never got pass marks last nite was probably kamara and ryan kent. Play out of our skin 1st half. Even aribo had a pretty decent game every attack was down through right hand side.

I'm a very happy Rangers fan tonight with the fact we have went through. Another game we should have buried by half time though. A wee bit concerned that we're not putting teams away when we are so clearly on top.
DSGERSFAN, not sure what game you were watching mate but to call out Aribo is a bit unfair. He ripped their left back to shreds in the first half. Almost every chance we created was from his play down that side. Considering he is a central midfield player and playing wide on the right the boy did more than ok!

Aribo played well tonight. Everyone played nervy near the end, but hd played well so cang agree with you on that one. In terms of ojo though, that's a different kettle of fish. Lazy, passing is all over the shop and he doesn't want the ball, which is a strong contrast from when he first came and didn't want to pass.

Dani Olmo is his name and he is already a very highly rated and valued player, he's meant to be part of the next generation of big spanish players. He's played with the Spanish national team at many levels including the first team already. unfortunately would be way out our price range.

With Helander out, it looks like the Olympic Sprinter / Goalscoring threat that is Katic will get a chance alongside Goldson tonight.
Time for him to Step up and Play and not let us down!
Big task with 2 marauding full backs to cover and a CH partner struggling for form. But his 'speed' should see him cope OK.
He'll also have to contend with no experienced Davis in front of him as well. I personally would prefer young Edmundson.

Probably get scorned for some of this, but as a rangers fan i have my own opinion.
1. Morelos is our main striker but don't think he's a 30 million pound one. my guess is if he goes 20 million will be pushing it. don't get why he wants the premier league in the 1st place. he's no chance of liverpool man city chelsea. so leaving rangers who are always competing for trophys to a team struggling to make top 10 in premier leagues just daft
2. no matter what happens this season. if some of our fans don't stop these stupid sectarian chants in grounds and on tv then we are going to get severely punished.
3. excited for tonight but after Aberdeen game and the fact we destroyed celtic on sunday and couldn't score i'm worried we are going to have all the possession and all the chances . fail to score then they get a freak goal.
4. i honestly do think we will win something this year (hoping if anything its the title) i think stevie g has done a great job at rangers so far. when we are winning his choices of subs/ tactics are second to none. when we are either drawing or getting beat his choices are questionable.
And lastly 5. I know loads of people slate tav. i personally think he is our best RB. but he's not captain material. mcgregor or davis as captain imo with jack a near future captain. i think gerrard knows this aswell and he just doesn't want to make tav feel he's done a bad job as captain. in my eyes a true captain pulls his team together. shows heart and conviction and for every second wearing that famous blue jersey makes them proud. and apologies but tav doesn't show any of this. to me he's a rangers player but not a captain.
even defoe shows more heart for the club than tav. that wee ball boy at livingston game joining in with the rangers songs showed more conviction than tav. yes i would keep him in the 1st team but the captains armband should be given to davis or mcgregor.

Decent comments, but to say Tav doesn't show heart or conviction is ridiculous, any player interview regarding hardest training or player constantly on backs etc in training, Tavs the first name mentioned. Unfortunately he's a had a bad run of form, but we never had the cover to give him the rest to recover. Form definetly questionable but heart and fight he has in abundance. He was genuinely gutted in his interview after cup final defeat the guy is the scape goat most days, would also agree should Tav be replaced as captain at any point Davis or Jack should be next in line.

Anyway you don’t need band to galvanise and push team from the park . Think tav dies a lot for moral off the park and that is where Stevie is coming from . Ps always respect your posts and opinions of which of course you are entitled to . my opinionated response would be
1. Morelos would obviously like a move to treble his wages
Who wouldn’t
2. The morons know they have to stop, and are trying but once they get the Buckie into them rational goes out the window. we just need to keep pulling together and constantly hit them with the message that it’s not on
3. As long as Porto don’t win we are through . Young boys beat us and Porto draw we qualify . Not ideal but just flagging it up
4. Don’t need to be a capt to be a leader ie Souness. Tav I believe is captain fir his off field vibes, and he does drive team on at times . even if not with aggression but to strip him of it would be devastating to overall moral

A win really would be sweet. Topping our group after going through four qualifiers would easily be a better achievement than Celtic winning their group but only entering after being knocked out of the CL.
Tonight actually will be my first ever time supporting Celtic in Europe. Why? They're already through anyway and with Scotland's co-effiecient so near to two CL places, it's probably for the best.

What Gerrard has achieved in Europe these last 2 seasons without any help from the coefficient points has been brilliant, getting us all the way from the first qualifying round to the group stages twice. With a real chance at qualifying for the last 32 is nothing short of remarkable. 👍.

Tomster55 I think Morelos should be taken any penalty that we get, pure power alone would beat any keeper, if they don't move before ball is struck, my favourite part of Alfie's game is the way he can belt the ball from anywhere in the box or surrounding area, and 99 out of 100 times is on target with it, just 1 of his many talents. c'mon the Bears.
