Well John MacKay completely bottled it when interviewing Chuckie.

He had the chance to ask Green some really searching questions for the Rangers fans but gave him a free ride.

Who owns Ibox?
Is all the season ticket money still in the bank?
etc. etc etc

Disappointed.

Believable25 Unbelievable8

He's useless, did the same thing when spiers was on.

Agree13 Disagree3

He could have asked old charlie boy about his quote regarding rangers losing their history if a cva was not agreed.

Agree15 Disagree4

Oldco is 140 years old but is being liquidated. You were celebrating the dying oldco.

ok - you have considered the share prospectus, listen to Green & co, maybe read some research or not.

Now will you invest (INVESTING), and if so what are your main reasons ?

If you wont (NOPE), what are your main reasons ?

Believable1 Unbelievable2

NOPE -

too much get-rich-quick, sadly like leeds and pompey, two admins most likely and this bunch of asset strippers, boiler-plate investment agents and hangers on, looks bad news all round, hope fans keep their spare cash from cheaper season tickets for the next stage of the revival process...

Agree16 Disagree3

9 aggrees , 3 disagree. yer meant to answer invest/nope/undecided.....

Agree1 Disagree3

INVESTING - WHY?
Is it because i am a business man and want to make money NO,

its because;

I have followed the gers since before i can remember, my father follows the gers, his father also followed on, my sisters, son, daughter, nephews, in laws follow the gers.
Over many years Rangers have given me fantastic highs and dismal lows, special memories and bad memories.
Feelings are still very raw from events of this year when my team, my club, were almost driven to extinction by others.
I had to stand by helplessly and hope that come August there would be a Rangers team running on to the ibrox pitch again, surrounded by a sea of blue
Charles Green and his consortium made that possible, (for whatever reason they had)
Now they need the fans to buy in to ensure the club goes from here back to our rightful position
i have the chance to do something for my team, fortunately i am in a position where i can take up more than the minimum amount of shares
So, for all my family, especially my son, for myself and for all fellow bears i will be buying shares to help ensure our future
In May/June/July we all shouted that the club should be owned by the fans, now is the chance to own your share of the club and i dont mean a few token shares when there is a major shareowner owning 90% of the club

I have recently retired after many years as an Investment Manager and having read the Prospectus have already invested in my club. This is not about the east end accountants. This about the Rangers. Believe Charles Green or not, believe in the Rangers. If you have the money and you are a true fan then invest. If you don't have the money then just be a true fan.

And don't give that Stephen Thompson any cash from the Rangers loyal and true fans.

Bigbaloobear

Agree5 Disagree13

@4 investment manager? Load of mince. Why say that when you are investing through loyalty rather than financial gain? Investment managers invest for a return on their investment do they not? So why make out it was the prospectus that swayed you?

Agree13 Disagree0

Green clearly stated last night he doesn't need fans to buy shares!!!!!
He says the corporates will buy them up. So don't come in here saying he needs us to buy. He even said he'd buy them if fans don't.

Agree4 Disagree2

@4; Well thank god you never looked after my investments mate! the prospectus is padded to say the least. If a fan wants to invest with his heart thats fine, but green and co are the only people who will profit from this.If you do have a financial background i would welcome your thoughts on the figures quoted.

Agree6 Disagree0

No football club is a viable investment, fans do it for their love of the club

hi ed, if the players union is taking action against rangers fc on behalf of past and present rangers players , who are claiming they dont want to sue there old or present club, can they in turn now sue the union for slander and wrongly bringing their names into the public doman ?? {Ed001's Note - no, the SPFA are not the ones who brought their name into the public domain.}

Believable2 Unbelievable8

The Scottish PFA have stated they are taking a single complaint on behalf of themselves to tribunal.
Charles Green released the number 67 in his prospectus.

Agree11 Disagree1

Ed you must get really tired every day of being a sounding board of the poorly educated for their daft ideas? How do you manage to get through it all? Never mind trolls and nutters! {Ed001's Note - lots of breaks to scream loudly helps I find!}

To all rangers fans - last night Charles green on Scotland tonight.

Thought I'd let the dust settle before I put a post up.i see a few trust him and others still don't.heres my thoughts on it: if that was Celtic in that situation then I would be expecting a better response from CG.the first 5 min of the interview I thought he was a Dutch or German (ie) ehhh bla bla bla ehhh bla bla ehh. Properly his biggest interview from taking over at rangers and he failed to deliver. I've spoke to my mates both Celtic and rangers some believe him some don't however if he was at my club I wouldn't be convinced by him yet again.last night was a stage to really sell the share issue and expect to go into the office today with his phone off the hook with folk wanting in on the shares.

Also only watched it once but if I remember his wording its : if the spl strip us of titles then we will not play in that league.so the back hand to that must he if they don't then they will play in the spl ?

Football love aside if your a die hard fan wanting to pump money into this mans pocket then please wear a pillow on your head for the crash back to earth.i could be so wrong on him but if he pulls this off and rangers are better off then I be the first one on here to eat my words and personally send CG a letter of well done

Lenny

Believable30 Unbelievable13

I love the smell of nepalm in the morning.........les

Agree4 Disagree7

Think you have to take into account it was only a 10min interview with him, how many topics do you expect him to cover, and to what depth, silly obssesed !!

Agree10 Disagree21

@ 2) very easy ask the real hard hitting questions/answers job done. In dragons den you sell your business idea in under 5 min Charles green couldn't give you a straight answer in 10 min.all I'm saying is if he was at Celtic doing what he's doing I would be doing a Peter jones ... SORRY CHICO IM OUT.

It's make or break for div 3 blue team (don't know what name you are now it's only changed your name 4 times in less than a year)

If its a min £500 buy in then just think for green to clear his 325k salary it will take 650 people to just pay that

Lenny

Agree9 Disagree3

Lenny - 325k isn't much for a CEO - your guy is on 1.6m and you have been operating at a loss for years

Agree0 Disagree1

Lenny - I know you don't believe him but did you actually listen to what he said - he said he has no need to do the hard sell as he has been knocking back institutional investors to leave room for fans take up - what fans don't take up these guys will - many of the big investors are already committed and are actually named in the prospectus showing the %share held by all major investors after the flotation - like many things blue this year, the flotation is sold out - there is no need for him to go on TV and try to sell shares that in essence are already sold

Rangers most watched side on tv in scotland so far, SPL viewing figures way down on last year, seems we are still the biggest attraction in scotland.

Believable28 Unbelievable19

Yes you are, just as the freak show was always the biggest draw at the circus a 100 years ago . shammy

Agree29 Disagree23

SKY showed 7 million people watched Celtic vs Barca

Agree13 Disagree13

Ok, here it goes again. The biggest blah, blah, blah. I watch the Rangers games online, not because of Rangers but hoping that a 'wee' team beats you, like what happened at the start of the season. If that's all you have to shout about then keep dreaming. .

Agree12 Disagree4

@2 off course they did 6m 940thousand Barca supporters and you point is???.

Agree6 Disagree9

@2 barca have a big following.

Agree5 Disagree1

@2 ha - please provide the link to that corker

JG

Agree2 Disagree4

/2 do you think they were tuning in to see celtic

Agree4 Disagree5

Biggest attraction? Definitely the biggest comedy show, keep it coming please:-) B

Agree12 Disagree3

Best comedy moment of the year (footballing that is) ... when ball comes of field into technical area and alley boots it back, but mis-queues and it chunders of down the running track on side of pitch for 80 yrds.....

priceless, and that was on afree internet feed.

ed maybe you can shed some light on this

the SPL plans for reconstruction requires teams from the SFL to jump ship and join them in a SPL 2

what if the SFL clubs refuse this as a lot of SFL chairman are still furious about the SPL trying to blackmail them into taking Rangers into the first division and now trying to bribe them to voting with them.

that would put it all in stalemate you could end up with a SPL with no promotion and no relegation.

this would mean you would have two complete separate entity's in scotish football

could the SFL then challenge the SPL for the rights to the European places as when it comes down to scottish football the SFL would have the greater amount of members

Lochaber Bear {Ed001's Note - it is unlikely that the SFL could get the European place, it would need them to show that the SFL is the top league in Scotland. Short term anyway there will be a contract with UEFA and the SPL. After that, in the long term, a well run SFL would need to attract more of the top teams, to overtake the SPL. If they could get say Heart and Hibs to agree to membership of the SFL, instead of the SPL, then that would put them in a strong position. So it is possible that they could stake a claim for Scotland's European places, but it is unlikely to happen as things stand.}

Believable1 Unbelievable8

Take your point ed but do the SFA not have an obligation to the footballing public ie supporters and now Rangers are in the SFL according to figures just released the SFL have a larger proportion of the viewing tand paying customers than the SPL you would think that would give them a strong argument about who should be taking scottish football forward

Lochaber Bear {Ed001's Note - not at all, UEFA want the strongest teams, not the team from the league with the biggest support, so that is not relevant. I do think the league is in need of restructuring, the SPL does not work (incidentally the English version was almost directly copied off the Scottish model and also is not a sustainable model long term), all these separate bodies are not needed either. But it needs to be an agreed change, to spread the power and money more equitably, so all can benefit, not just the Old Firm. In doing so, I think the SPL and SFL have to find some common ground or preferably become one organisation run for the benefit of the member clubs as a whole. I can't see a full split between the two organisations benefiting anyone, it certainly is not going to be looked on favourably by UEFA and FIFA.}

Agree0 Disagree3

Of all the quandaries gone and still to come that Rangers have faced and are yet to face, this is easily the most entertaining one.

The desire to be in the top division is palpable, you are desperate to be there. The frothing bile for the clubs who put you there is evidence enough of that. But, and this is where it truly does get funny, some of you would rather never darken an SPL clubs door again, plus going back there shows up another of Charles Green's claims to be a tad suspect.

Oh the dilemma. And it is due to this dilemma that you can almost feel some of you wasting endless brain cells on this double edged sword. How do we get back to earning good cash, qualifying for the Champions League and yet not show Charles up to being less than commited to his stance and also keep our hard earned away from the naughty SPL? It's a brain hurter alright, that's for sure.

And so to the OP. It actually reminded me of the Blackadder II episode with the drinking party. "Great booze up Edmund." And we see Rowan Atkinson tortuously concocting this tale to justify the statement. I can almost see you doing it Lochaber. "And so if that bits in place then...ah, I know..."

But fair play to you Lochaber Bear to concoct a tale that actually leapfrogs the SPL clubs and makes the SFL 1 the highest division in the land is fantasy writing of the highest order. I take my hat off to you mate, in a million gazillion years I honestly could never, ever have made that up.

67 players sueing rangers, thats strange, when cg says we only had 51 on our books, some named players saying not in my name, more lies by the obssesed media !!

Believable4 Unbelievable9

So where did the 67 figure come from...... source RIFC prospectus...

ooh bad media repeating statements from a joke floatation.

Agree13 Disagree3

Players can leave union if they wish.....

Agree4 Disagree1

Charles Green is the source of the 67 figure nobody else. The PFA is defending their automatic right and status to be included in discussions. They can never give up that right as a union. Also protecting the interests of future players in similar situations. Not allowing a precedent. What's the problem rangers fans becoming Tories and siding with employer over unions and workers?

Agree10 Disagree3

Charles Green DIDN'T come up with the 67 number - it was declared in the prospectus as it has to be legally - however this just reports the facts - the 67 player case was lodged by the PFA - this is a matter of fact

the poor obssesed, must have been gutted watching the interview with cg, blew a few myths and lies out of the water, and set the record straight on a few issues !!

Believable7 Unbelievable22

Which myths, which lies... name even a few.

Agree20 Disagree2

This interview was a complete farce.Did we learn anything new here? No. Myths and lies? Please explain.

Agree19 Disagree5

CG. He came across as a con man. end of. A big man selling a wee piece of glass at the Barras. "Its my wee girls ring, she died last week". Are we back to Florence Street in 1935? A con man. A wee fly one, ahh, but not so wee Watch.

Agree13 Disagree6

My guess ticketus own ibrox, and wont hand it over till they paid in full.

Why else not say..... or show the deeds and be done.

Agree12 Disagree7

I'm sure Craig Whyte owns the assets.
He has stated he has a charge over them and secured them through his Miami holding company from the creditors. BDO to sort out.
The £26.5m Ticketus is owed is backed up by the assets. I wouldn't be surprised if £3m of ST money went to Ticketus and £9m of share money goes to Ticketus.
£9m for repairing Ibrox isn't true. The commonwealth games money will do up the stadium for 2014.
Green said its £150m to replace Ibrox. That's just a huge lie.

Agree9 Disagree4

@5 so how much would a new ibrox cost then. Look the bottom line is only time will tell what CGs long term goal is but you don't have to worry about that we do. We know he could be a con but what's the other options not get behind him and the club that's what the lot from the darkside want because then there would be no rangers

Agree5 Disagree6

@6) green says we don't need to get behind him financially. Said it last night. Corporations over subscribed, if fans dun want shares he'll sell to them.
Says doesn't need share money to run club. Says has plenty for that.

The Mayan Calander ends and another begins just like ours at the end of the year Bad News Celtic Fans Rangers will get back to the Top use will stand at Parkhead crying at the end of a season yet again as the Helicopter heads for Mccoists Men carrying the top prize in Scottish Football within 5 years id say!

Larky Bear (oh aye & regards to my last post on here iv not started on the drink i just post absolute pi$h talk like all of yous Dhims as all i hear is its a BANTER SITE)

Agree3 Disagree4

@6 - buy here some shares for your anniversary

JG

Agree2 Disagree0

I think you'll find that the OP was correct -afterall it was written in the share prospectus, and everything CG is absolutely true. And since the world didn't end it's now CG's fault, it can only be down to a big Timmy conspiracy, involving Peter Lawell, the mass media, the UN, Barack Obama, and the new XFactor winner.

The BTC was a cause celebre for many but the Craig Whyte episode of deducting paye and not passing it to HMRC doesn't seem to have the same moral outrage attached to it,possibly due to the fact that it was the reason that it put RFC into admin, ergo not a bad thing in the eyes of the guardians of outrage?

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Both are equally reprehensible and executed by Rangers owners. No one else to blame.
