Could all those who criticised Ryan Jack please step forward and make themselves known 😉.

12 Aug 2019 21:39:22
Don't remember anyone critical of jack? 👍.

12 Aug 2019 22:05:17
I certainly was when he had more red cards that completed passes. He’s certainly improved and fully merits his place in the starting eleven, I think he’s one of the players who really wants to play for and learn from SG, long may he continue playing the way he is. I think he might just have been trying too hard at the start!

12 Aug 2019 22:18:49
yes there was, and you know that. Lot's of short memories.

12 Aug 2019 22:23:13
I've always waxed lyrical about ryan jack on here. Have also stated he's a future captain of our great club.

12 Aug 2019 23:23:24
Is “waxed lyrical” your phrase of the day supercoop?

13 Aug 2019 00:15:21
Blue 89 😂😂😂.

13 Aug 2019 06:54:43
If you name every single player as a future captain there’s a chance you might get 1 right at some point. Pretty sure you chose somebody else yesterday and about 300 last season my good man.

13 Aug 2019 08:59:23
I've also always defended the lad on here and I'm delighted he is playing so well and proving the doubters wrong. I saw a post stating that McGregor was better. I don't think so, I think Ryan Jack has everything in his game. Whether it is due to the manager or a change of role, I don't know but he truly is a class act. I was a big fan of Barry and I see a lot of similarities in their play.

13 Aug 2019 09:18:45
It will never be my phrase at anytime where you're concerned Blue89.😂I take it you were maybe one of the ryan jack bashers, that The Muppet is talking about here mate? You sneaky wee man.

13 Aug 2019 11:55:39
Blue89 it was on his toilet paper 😂.

13 Aug 2019 11:57:50
No Coop, not at all, I’ve always been a fan of Jack. Extremely underrated player in this country.

13 Aug 2019 16:55:17
He's diff class the boy. Gerrard is obviously helping him as he's improved 100% since Gerrard arrived first name on teamsheat for me 👍.

13 Aug 2019 22:05:25
Think I was critical of Ryan but I take it back turned out a cracking player.

12 Aug 2019 19:28:40
Feck!
I think it's already time to conced the title to Celtic fellas.
Just been listening to Sportscene on the obviously unbiased, publicly funded BBC radio give an audio re-run of the weekend goals. All 5 Celtic "stunners" given the full Monty, but apparently we must have scraped a last minute win with a deflection
Nightmare, I had convinced myself we hammered them 6-1.
Never mind, there's always next season.

12 Aug 2019 20:39:48
Bro don't let the bbc annoy you who gives a rubbish what they think watching sportscene is like watching chess.

12 Aug 2019 21:03:47
Big Thompson is afraid to show his true colours, I think. His dad was my teacher and I worked with his brother when he started out at Tannadice. Bluenoses one and all. Not sure why he doesn't stick up for us more, maybe part of the BBC agenda, maybe protecting his hero status at St. Mirren, maybe feart from that wee #&*k Stewart!

12 Aug 2019 21:55:43
Haven't watched Sportscene for years and not going to start now. Medium for the tims I'm afraid. Might change my mind and watch it when we clinch the league title though.

12 Aug 2019 22:28:46
Yes seeker watching sportscene if we win the league will finish that half wit and absolute k**b of a man,
michael 'THE DRONER' stewart off.
That guy is an absolute b**l e*d of a guy. He's got an agenda against the famous because he wasn't good enough to play for us, when he was on trial at the then murray park.

13 Aug 2019 06:57:06
Watching Michael Stewert is like reading 1 of your posts coops. Are you his auld man?

13 Aug 2019 08:41:55
Dont watch any tv. Stopped my licence as I won't give bbc any cash. full stop.

12 Aug 2019 11:37:27
Interesting to hear the gaffers comments today regarding perhaps one more in and coupled with what ed001 said regards Kent last week. What do you reckon fellow Bears, is it Kent or someone else that they have in mind?

I know all the stuff that has been said regarding Kent not returning etc etc so no need to be educated on this. As ed001 said, it's a possibility now as they don't want to leave him languishing in the u23 team and no bids have come in so best bet now would be to let him away again on loan.

I'm also not that bothered now if he didn't return as the rest have hit the ground running and besides which, who's place would he take? JJ has been outstanding and we've yet to see BB so for me I would think it's possibility a striker that we might go for.

In fact in good old coops style, a poll is in order, if you would do the honours ed, as follows
The other last possible signing SG is looking at is it a. Kent or b. A striker.
Cheers muchly, should brighten up a Monday troops lol.

{Ed033's note - SG Next Signing Poll

12 Aug 2019 20:00:10
Kent will be signed on a permanent contract IF we make the group stages, we’re waiting on this as the income from group qualification is not yet guaranteed. Now shoot me done as usual I’m waiting for it 🤨.

12 Aug 2019 20:31:14
Hope to god we get kent👍.

12 Aug 2019 20:45:36
We have Jordan Jones and just signed Brandon Barker on a 3 year deal. I really can't see us going for Kent. I think Barker maybe on a par with Kent. Another striker and i'd be happy.

12 Aug 2019 21:29:28
He’s not coming back, forget him and move on. We’ve got Jones, Barker, Murphy, Arfield, Middleton (going on loan) that all play in that position.

13 Aug 2019 09:22:39
Ok guys i now think myself that we won't be getting kent back, which brings me on to a question i'm throwing out to everyone on here. Who then do we reckon is our best option to play left wing then?

12 Aug 2019 16:43:47
Awrite lads, A wee question to you all. Since that horrible day back in 2012 until the present day. Which players (if any) do you think when we look back on should or could be considered a Rangers Legend?

12 Aug 2019 16:52:05
Waldo and Jig 100%.

12 Aug 2019 16:52:48
L McCulluch. Boyd and K miller.

12 Aug 2019 17:10:20
Emilson Cribari, Sebastien Faure and Anestis Argyriou would be my shouts.

12 Aug 2019 17:44:49
Francisco sandaza lol.

12 Aug 2019 17:57:54
No one will be remembered as a legend, closest Wallace if he had played last two years.
Still carrying same injury at qpr.

12 Aug 2019 18:24:28
Kevin Kyle.

12 Aug 2019 19:01:28
Ian blacks paint brush.

12 Aug 2019 19:58:14
Seeker you took the words out my mouth. You can’t look past nigh kevin Kyle. Absolutely Class!

12 Aug 2019 19:59:16
Coming from a celtic fan, you really can't look past Miller or boyd tbh.

12 Aug 2019 20:03:15
Big jig for me.

12 Aug 2019 20:23:52
No one until we win a major trophy!

12 Aug 2019 22:35:29
Legend is too big a word, I probably only consider a few players during my short 30years as being a fan as Legends and I fortunately none of them during that period. A few good ones for championship level in Wallace, waghorn, fod. None legend though.

13 Aug 2019 06:05:56
Bilel Mohsni.

13 Aug 2019 11:57:30
This season’s entire squad will be legends if we win the league.

12 Aug 2019 16:35:59
Rangers to win the league and Morelos not to receive a straight red ( that's a straight red and not 2 yellows ) paddy power 33/ 1.

12 Aug 2019 17:18:46
Bryan1978, not only would you collect at the odds specified, but Morelos would achieve a £25m transfer to the EPL.

12 Aug 2019 18:06:47
Hahaha no bad Bankie. The bet will do me.

12 Aug 2019 15:58:53
Lyle Taylor would be a interesting one maybe even on pre contract good goal scorer and has experience Scottish football.

12 Aug 2019 17:19:17
Who is he?

12 Aug 2019 17:32:59
played arwen in lord of the rings?

12 Aug 2019 19:19:18
Briangersfan. That's a belter.

12 Aug 2019 11:51:57
Will Clarke ever pick Jack, no matter how well he plays? I doubt it.

12 Aug 2019 12:42:38
I was thinking how he should be one of the names on the Scotland team sheet but really couldn’t care less how Scotland do at this point so if it keeps him fresher for us then I don’t mind. It’s just a shame looking at it from Jacks personal perspective.

12 Aug 2019 13:55:45
The tartan army would only boo him anyway.
If you’re u don’t play for Celtic or have a Celtic connection you don’t play for Scotland.
Take Arfield for example he was playing consistently in one of the top leagues in the world for a good few years but Strachan and Scotland said he wasn’t good enough to play for them so he went and played for Canada.

12 Aug 2019 16:39:23
He got booed at the Scotland game that was played at Pittodrie. It's not Scotland fans that booed him it was petty Aberdeen fans. At hampden the small pocket of Aberdeen idiots wouldn't be heard and would be ripped into by real Scotland fans.

12 Aug 2019 16:50:48
Tartan Army is there even many of that lot left haha

Scotland have been terrible for years and are only going to get better if the improve the team with the best quality players, that being players playing at the top level in England and from Rangers and Celtic with some from other SPL teams

Your talking Steve Clarke wanting the best for Scotland and himself so I don't think he is going to be stupid enough to jeopardise his own reputation and he would be doing that by not giving the best players the games It would be stupid not given Ryan Jack a game if he is doing the Business at club level.

13 Aug 2019 11:59:40
I go to the Scotland games with my brother in law who is a season ticket holder at Parkhead, I’m a season ticket holder at Ibrox, and the last time we went he was raging because idiot teuchters were booing the Celtic players too. The rest of Scotland just hates Glasgow.

12 Aug 2019 11:44:43
Watching the highlights of the match it could have been 10-1 but for their goalkeeping heroics. I recall we beat a team 10-2 many years ago and I think it was against Cowdenbeath. Anyone know if that was our biggest winning margin in a competitive game? Gerrard has put together a great team.

12 Aug 2019 12:06:08
We beat Valetta 10-0 in 83/ 84. I wasn't even born but I noticed it in a tweet yesterday.

12 Aug 2019 12:29:24
I’m sure we beat keith 10-1 mid 90’s in a Scottish cup game.

12 Aug 2019 12:56:16
Biggest winning margin 14-2.
Biggest league win 10-0 via Hibs
Biggest Europe win 10-0.

12 Aug 2019 12:59:58
We beat Raith Rovers 10-2 way back in the 60's.

12 Aug 2019 15:27:41
Remember Keith game was a rubbishtodrie. Goram was raging that they scored! Also remember 10-0 v Valetta, after 8-0 win away. Sure big Slim McPherson scored 4 in Malta.

12 Aug 2019 16:43:57
I was at the rangers keith game and Alex cleland got hatrick. Keith scored the last goal and Andy goram went ballistic final score was 10 -1.

12 Aug 2019 16:52:59
Think Ian Ferguson got a couple too in th Keith game.

13 Aug 2019 11:34:07
Rangers 14 Blairgowrie juniors 2
Scottish Cup 20/ 01/ 1934
My hometown club.

12 Aug 2019 11:22:50
Got a totally out of the park crazy suggestion after watching DC utd vs LA galaxy game.

I've got my suit of armour on for all of the disagrees lol my name is will. So fire at will guys.

The name I'm suggesting is big Zlatan Ibrahimovic. He is 37 and his contract expires in Dec. He is multi multi millionaire so if he came it wouldn't be for cash. so maybe just maybe he would like another crack at winning a league and poss European football if we managed to stay in past xmas.

Offer him a year contract. The big man would score for fun in Scotland even at 37, esp with some of the crosses that Tav can supply. His stats for this season are played 18 scored 16 and provided 6 assists.

12 Aug 2019 12:06:04
We can dream :)

12 Aug 2019 12:31:24
Would love that to happen but bein honest I don’t think we have a chance in hell of getting the big man.

12 Aug 2019 15:24:23
Think I would rather take Martinez from Atlanta.

12 Aug 2019 11:21:54
Watched the game on RFC in Nerja and paid my fee to RFC online.

What a result I honestly had fears about this game. but wow we know how to win these games now. We were so dominant but still early in the season and against a team that was supposed to be a potential threat, well that's that put to bed.

Next game mmm, oh yes, that team from the east of Glasgow.

12 Aug 2019 13:22:49
Next game is st mirren.

12 Aug 2019 11:16:07
I just watched jermaine defoe's post match interview and i couldn't believe the state of his training top. The white chevrons down either shoulder were peeling off and it looks awful. Hummel need sort this out. Its unacceptable for our players to be seen wearing this rubbish. Its completely cringe worthy.
What a game though! Heckingbottom sacked by September. Lol
Maybe Lennon will make the step up to a bigger club again. Lol.

12 Aug 2019 18:11:52
Maybe that's what we get for wearing them around just saying, Jimmy has just washed them too high a temp and then with all the rain used the tumble dryer which always takes the sticky bits off football tops.

12 Aug 2019 10:31:34
I seem to remember Gerrard saying he wanted one more before Candeias left. Assuming Barker is a straight swap for him, just wondering what area of the squad still needs strengthened before the window shuts?

Keeper is sorted, we have 3 decent players who can play at either full back. Central defence also sorted, same as midfield. We have 2 quality forwards and the 3rd choice striker in Sadiq/ lafferty hardly got a sniff last season. Don't see much point in spending money on a 3rd choice when we have half decent youth if needed.

My only concern would be on the wings. Are jones, ojo, Barker and Stewart a step up from last season? With the manager letting Murphy go out on loan, he must think so. To be fair to them, they have been pretty impressive so far.

Assuming Gerrard gets his "one more". Just wondering what position people think still needs strengthened before the window shuts?

12 Aug 2019 10:46:59
Could use Stewart as a striker I suppose as a 3rd option, but i think it is a striker he'll be after. He has said as much recently. In case defoe or morelos are out injured or suspended. Or if he wants to play 2 up top.

12 Aug 2019 11:02:08
another striker i would think. if one gets injured we will be stuck.

12 Aug 2019 12:02:31
I would love to see Mebude, Mcpake or Rudden given a chance as third choice striker. Sadly for these young guys, I have to agree that this isn’t the year that they will be given their chance. Far too much at stake.

What concerns me is what sort of player will we be able to bring in that will be decent quality yet be content to be and aware they are third choice.

12 Aug 2019 09:16:51
Morning Fellow Bears,

I'm identifying a potential work nightmare and need help! Does anyone know for definite, and assuming we go through on Thursday, if we'd play home or away first in the play off? I was planning to travel to the away leg but looks like I could miss the home game and need to plan ahead! I assume Legia are seeded but unsure about the Greeks. Any help will be gratefully received. Thanks and hope you all enjoyed yesterday as much as I did!

12 Aug 2019 10:48:31
First leg is at home mate.

12 Aug 2019 11:27:23
Defo away 1st.

12 Aug 2019 11:23:03
Great thanks! I’ll need to bin travelling away it seems but I’ll make the home leg now. Many thanks mate.

12 Aug 2019 13:30:25
Away first in play off round. 2nd leg at home good news as old firm match 3 days later. Remember we went to Russia then park head in 3 days last year.

12 Aug 2019 09:05:33
I was reading this morning that steven gerrard was waxing lyrical about scott allan's performance against us yesterday.
Don't get me wrong, although i've got absolutely no time for allan now, his reverse pass for their goal was outstanding, to say the least! He has that in his locker though.
Not that i'm advocating for this in the least,
but you do wonder if gerrard who obviously rates scott allan, would try to sign him from hibs, in the future? Stranger things have happened as we all know. Gerrard used to speak highly and praise jordan jones often when he was at kilmarnock and he signed him! A guy sitting in front of me at the game yesterday actually said he would give hibs a transfer fee + greg docherty for scott allan.

12 Aug 2019 09:35:24
Wasn't really waxing lyrical about him. Just said it as it is, that it was an outstanding pass. not a chanceI'd send doc there for him, he didn't kick a ball apart from that. Plastic rangers fan.

12 Aug 2019 09:44:31
Docherty is better than Allan so no chance. Allan has better vision etc but gives you one good game in five .

12 Aug 2019 11:10:24
He has his chance Coops. It's a massive no from me.

12 Aug 2019 11:30:47
Absolutely no way. Get the guy in front of you to a doctor. Docherty for me all day long. And never a chance would we touch Allan.

12 Aug 2019 11:37:23
Scott Allan is a player there is no question. What he done is it forgivable? In most eyes probably not. That pass was sublime tho. Great player!

12 Aug 2019 12:06:13
Listen guys there's no argument from me as i totally agree with you that i wouldn't want scott allan anywhere near scott allan. For the record herewego55, gerrard did say allan was a very good player and did wax lyrical about his vision for that pass for their goal. I must disagree with you when you said allan never kicked a ball yesterday as he was easily their best player who was pulling the strings for them, when they had their good spells either side of half time.

12 Aug 2019 12:43:43
Insert (name) here the improvement SG and his coaching team wring out of players they might even get a decent game out of me nah that's just too silly. Just 2 examples Jack was a decent player at Aberdeen he's real class now, Jones fast that was it now in open games he looks superb hope he can continue in tight park the bus games.

12 Aug 2019 12:50:46
SGL, I know what you’re saying and I actually could see Gerrard maybe going for him in future because he wasn’t here when the whole fiasco with him happened. However, I don’t think Scott Allan would get past our pre season. He’s always been overweight and blows out his arse an hour into games. Very good technical player though.
And he wasn’t their best player, their keeper was 😂.

12 Aug 2019 13:59:19
Blue 89,i was talking about outfield players pal.

12 Aug 2019 08:43:54
Have to say it, based purely on his last 2 performances Jordan Jones is proving a few people on this forum wrong. IF he continues to play like that i don't think Ryan Kent will be the big miss some people think.

12 Aug 2019 10:19:38
I’m sure that they will all be posting soon to admit they were completely wrong!

12 Aug 2019 10:54:06
Gotta be honest, I wasnt sure how he would do, considering most teams sit in against us but I hope his current form. continues and he nabs a few goals into the bargain. Seems to have settled rather quickly.

12 Aug 2019 11:05:13
I thought JJ would be a decent squad player and nothing more. Looking like a key first team player just now though. Happy to be wrong.

12 Aug 2019 12:52:48
I’ll hold my hands up and say I wasn’t impressed with the Jones signing at all. I thought he would be another MOH in the making. He’s been brilliant though. Even against killie when they were parking the bus he was beating men in tight spaces. Hope he keeps getting better.

12 Aug 2019 13:05:07
I mentioned a bit back that the players that sometimes shine the most are the least expected and thought Jones was going to do really well. Honestly tho I am not smug and thinking I told you so. Even tho I did lol.

12 Aug 2019 19:09:45
Ryan kent is still better than jones, but jones has been class. 👍.

12 Aug 2019 08:16:24
Any chance of a poll ed. Just wondering on how Rangers supporters feel about the long term future of Scottish players once they leave our rivals.

1. Do we hope Kieran Tierney is amazing for Arsenal.

2. Do we hope Kieran Tierney comes back with tail between his legs.

I hope he does okay for the sake of Scottish football/ Rangers as a whole.

{Ed033's Note -

Kieran Tierney Poll

12 Aug 2019 09:21:08
Ed033 and TJBB. U are missing a third choice. Who Cares.

12 Aug 2019 11:13:42
have to agree with john on that poll!

12 Aug 2019 11:28:18
Couldnt care less about KT. Good luck to him but this is a Rangers page. sake :)

Review Of The Day 12th August 2019

12 Aug 2019 07:39:01
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 12th August 2019

12 Aug 2019 02:18:05
Really impressed with our squad hopefully no one leaves in next couple of weeks.

Every single player is playing at a level of between 7 and a 9.

I can't say it enough how good a job the board, my and SG and his team at every level from youth to first team have done.

When I look at some of the players that are on the fringes of the first 11, it's scary. If one player gets suspended, tired, needing rested or injured we have a player that is just as good for every position.

55 is coming guys.

12 Aug 2019 06:44:56
Can't add anymore to your post Stewartyyblue. We're all happy bears with the direction our great club is heading! Really hope we can at least keep steven gerrard as our manager for the full duration, of his 4 year contract. He's so professional in his job and being a total perfectionist and winner himself, is certainly rubbing off in our players. Truly think gerrard is building something special at rangers and long may he continue for many years to come.

12 Aug 2019 00:03:11
Tbh. can't we be the bigger man n say to the bbc. Hey. Mon back in we forgive n we will let you talk about somw great days that are comming soon to a telly near you.

12 Aug 2019 07:16:40
Joe53, sorry but no, The BBC and many of there reporting team go out of there way to put a negative spin on all things Rangers.
Even yesterday instead of how well we played, they state Hibs were down to 10 men.
I understand where your coming from but in my opinion it, s the BBC whom need to come to us.

12 Aug 2019 10:56:33
BBC don't come to ibrox by choice jeo53. Rangers banned 1 reporter for his deliberately negative reporting on rangers and the bbc took the huff.

12 Aug 2019 11:28:52
Sorry about the semantics but Rangers did not "ban" Chris Mclaughlin from Ibrox, they withdrew his press pass. If he wants to buy a ticket, he's free to attend a game as I understand it. If he and the BBC Scotland wish to issue a public apology where they admit to years of unfair and biased reporting about Rangers then we can start looking at restoring a positive relationship.

11 Aug 2019 23:29:50
What a great performance today. Looking forward to Thursdays match now and to the next round all being well. Legia 0-0 in their first leg, so could be either team in next round.
