to all the pedro doubters, i would like to point out that even if results ain't went our way, at least we ain't being pussy's about it, hell of a lot more phyiscality about the team and i like that, watched killie kick us of the park last season, and contain us due to this aggression, dire to watch, and hee-haw to cheer, but still i follow follow. This season the team are much better to watch mair fight in them, n i credit that to P. C.

11 Oct 2017 15:05:09
True blue take it you did not watch old firm we were kittens

11 Oct 2017 16:27:04
We were bullied off the pitch against thistle and the manks true blue, you must have seen that

11 Oct 2017 16:37:26
Dont know why any rangers fan buys the daily rebel or Sunday liam with all the crap they write about our club

11 Oct 2017 17:54:29
You obviously didn’t watch the Celtic game when they brushed us aside with very little effort

12 Oct 2017 08:19:06
Pedro is on botherd time if he can not start putting a run of winning games together in next month or two
This is our problem to inconsitent.
And seem to me pedro still doesn't no his best team or formation to put out to many underperforming players playing every week.
Maybe a switch of formation to 5 3 2
alves cordoso mccrorie
john and candelias wbs
Rossiter and jack cm
dorrans am
Herrera and morelos

Brushed aside by Celtic what did you expect we have spent about £8 mill to build a team Celtic have players worth far more than that we are miles behind them player ways and financially it's unfair to judge Pedro against Celtic it will take a large investment to even get near them £20 mill or so and right now we don't have that type of money it will take time and patience but our fans want success now or just sack the manager we have a better team now than last year MW left us is a complete mess we have had to pay up contracts to get rid of players we have had to bring in players that a few years ago would never have pulled on a Rangers jersey but we are where we are and all this sack the manager this player is crap that player is hopeless does no one any good I can just see the Pedro haters praying we drop points tomorrow night so the keyboards can start going well I'm not over joyed with the start we have had to the season but I do accept it takes time to turn a team around and even longer on a low budget but I'm willing to give Pedro another transfer window and judge at the end of the season we were never going to challenge Celtic this season we need to look at overhauling Aberdeen and that won't be easy they have had a few seasons of stability the core of their team has been in place for a while we have players who have to adjust to the pace of the game here I have been a season ticket holder for over forty years and seen some great players come and go but some of the best took time to adjust to the pace and the physicality of our game we need to get a settled side where we bring in two to three players in a transfer window not eight or nine we need to get a share issue up and running also the kit deal will start bringing in money now so we need to invest in the team we're not that far off having a decent side but what we need now is two or three quality players who can win games with that bit of magic we lack that when teams sit in against us we find it hard to break them down but we are scoring goals need to tighten up at the back but for the love of god be patient what would sacking our manager do right now only cost us the millions we should be investing in our team get behind them show the team and the manager we are with them see where we are at end of the season three point on Friday come on The Gers

12 Oct 2017 09:00:11
Thinkaboutit

Sorry but the arguement doesn’t hold any water. Why then did Partick Thistle give them a sterner test this season and how did St Johnstone and Hibs both get well deserved points off them at Celtic park? Both these teams didn’t spend £8m in the summer and with St Johnstone they finished below us last season even taking into account the mess Warburton left. At no point have we even competed with them under the current Manager and they have had 3 easy games against us. We haven’t laid a glove on them at all which is totally unacceptable. Even when we were finishing 4th or 5th in the league in the eighties we were more competitive against them and under Wallace performances like that wouldn’t have happened once let alone 3 times

12 Oct 2017 09:25:13
Good post thinkaboutit, I have also been a supporter for over 40 years and seen the best and the worst teams. Patience is not an option for many fans but we are going in the right direction, give Pedro and the team backing and have faith, if not patience.
Yes, we are behind Celtic by a long way and it may well take 2 or 3 seasons to be able to compete but I am sure we will be back where we belong - at the top.

12 Oct 2017 13:12:09
Sparky the changes we have made this season is taking time to settle if you look at our goal difference this season we are well ahead of where we were last season scoring more goals we need to tighten up at the back we need a natural left sided player with pace and I'd like to see another striker on board but we are in a better place now than we were last season you talk about teams like St Johnston and Patrick Thistle with no disrespect to any other team Celtic will fight a lot harder against us than against any other teams that's normal we need to get a run of results together build confidence in the team that is worth its weight in gold but all this negativity against the team and the manager does no good we need to support them through this period let's judge at end of the season not after what seven games

12 Oct 2017 15:35:59
Agree thinkaboutit, too many rushing to judge Pedro and he needs to be given time. Don't agree with all of his signings and some of the things he says but have no doubt he is fully committed and passionate about the club. If we win next 6 games we will be in a cup final and every chance will have narrowed points gap with Celtic and the sheep.

12 Oct 2017 15:37:35
@sparky - both the Saints and the Hivs are below us in the league. It doesn’t matter what happens in 1 off games, final positions are decided over the course of the season.

12 Oct 2017 20:59:32
UnionJack

Yes they are so why is it they can give Celtic a harder game than we do? As for the thirty Celtic try harder because it’s us doesn’t wash they have beat us without having to get out of second gear. It’s a very sad day when so many fans on here just seem to accept poor performances against them. It speaks volumes that Sky released viewing figures for the last old firm game and it was lowest ever audience. We are so poor and can’t give them any sort of game no one outwith the old firm want to watch it. Doesn’t very exactly put the league in a strong position when it comes to renegotiating the sky deal

13 Oct 2017 15:30:57
Didn't get out of second gear Sparky! What utter single fish.

14 Oct 2017 00:33:19
@sparky - English football fans don't watch it because its irrelevant to them as the EPL has been marketed as the ' greatest league on earth '. They even laud the Championship above it.

Viewing figures are also down due to economic factors ( not everyone can afford BT + Sky or either ) , illegal downloads and pubs seeing a rise in customers for the big matches. This is why Sky have restructured their sports packages - its a marketing ploy to see who is buying what. And its not just up too the Old Firm to help sell Scottish football, all clubs have a responsibility to try and put a decent product on the park.

I don't know any fans personally who can accept the poor performances against Celtic but we are where we are currently due to financial mismanagement and player recruitment especially over the last 5 years. Continually changing managers doesn't help, but we as fans have to put our faith in the board that they will get it right. I'm always prepared to give a manager at least a season then his / the teams performances can be properly evaluated.

11 Oct 2017 07:49:28
Don't you just get totally annoyed with the constant let's have a dig at Rangers stories the Daily Record prints, especially during international breaks it's pathetic poor very poor journalism in what used to be a really good news paper. Now it's only fit for wiping your a__e with. I urge all Rangers minded people not to buy this rag ever again, we've all had enough of being mocked and ridiculed time to stand up and fight back. we are Rangers. c'mon us.

11 Oct 2017 08:09:49
Now Robbie that's a wee bit nasty. It doesn't matter how much crap pours out it, there is no need to be so cruel to it.
I am of course talking about my ar*e. Wouldn't let that rag infect it in any way!

11 Oct 2017 08:37:01
Haha yes your right but to anyone who has an ar-e itch after wiping with the DR, put on some sudocrem the miracle cream that cures anything.

11 Oct 2017 10:35:05
The latest is that Pedro is playing mind games with st Johnstone and should keep his mind on who the leak is? Pure and utter single fish! Absolutely sick to the back teeth of this garbage!

11 Oct 2017 10:37:15
If anyone asks who disagreed, it was me because of this statement; "used to be a really good news paper".

11 Oct 2017 10:39:29
I live down south and i rely on the internet for all my news about my beloved team.
I have to agree though that this poor excuse for a newspaper have really let themselves down in recent years. Every story is a negative jibe at Rangers.
My theory is that they have distanced themselves so far away from Rangers by printing blatant dung that they can no longer get anyone from Rangers to open up and give them a good story therefore they make up whatever rubbish they can get a wiff of.

11 Oct 2017 11:06:33
I get where your coming from with the disagree as for years now it is nothing but toilet paper, and there sports reporters are really the worst ever. The really good content came from around the seventies long time ago I know sorry bout that, it's when they talked about Rangers with respect . That's when my 3 all time favourite players played. Henderson, Conn, and Stein. They were brilliant.

11 Oct 2017 17:19:01
Probably mostly due to James Traynor burning his bridges with his fellow journalists when he left, dedicating his final article to slagging them off.

11 Oct 2017 22:48:33
i don't know aboout that as there is a leak and we would all like to know who it is and get him to go.

11 Oct 2017 22:51:16
Not one mention of Brendan Rodgers brother dressed in paramilitary attire while carrying the coffin of dead dissident Dominic Mcglinchey jnr, If it had of been one our staff it would have been front page

11 Oct 2017 22:55:38
Just been speaking to Alfie thirty minutes ago

11 Oct 2017 22:59:02
Wee Henderson was immense. Never forgave Conn for coming back to them. Colin Stein is my all time favourite - brilliant centre forward and brave as a lion. (Or maybe that should be a bear! Lol)

11 Oct 2017 23:00:13
Correct, Naz, while many on that paper are anti-Rangers, Traynor is totally despised in that office and that is also an excuse for them to try to hurt Rangers, his employers. How this man has a position at Ibrox I will never know. He was virulently anti-Rangers himself.

I remember him writing about a match between Linfield and Rangers and describing Windsor Park on that day as a 'cesspit of bigotry'. This man also backed Green and Co and should be shown the door, preferably head first. He is a total creep and no friend of Rangers. In fact our whole media department needs a good clean out as is is riddled with incompetents.

11 Oct 2017 23:01:16
The media have nothing positive to print about Rangers because there has been nothing positive about Rangers worth reporting. Its one drama after another with your club so the media are all over it.

Celtic suffered the same back in the day when rangers were signing £5 million pound players left right and centre. All the reports in the paper were glory this glory that at rangers. Celtic were persecuted everyday in the papers digging up any bad press they could.

11 Oct 2017 23:02:24
Robbie. All papers are great when we're winning. The Record was great during 9IAR. It's less so now because, relatively speaking, we are pants. We don't help ourselves by banning journalists or broadcasters because we don't like what they say. We've got to roll with it and take some punches until things come good again.

Regardless of what they are saying about Rangers, I wouldn't buy it because it's appalling, however.

12 Oct 2017 15:31:49
I don't buy any paper for the simple fact its a waste of money when i can read all the news on my phone but i have to agree with daviebhoy and bruisedbear, it was an exact role reversal in the 90s when the media thot Walter walked on water and invented football the way they do with Rodgers just now. its just the way the goldfish bowl wrks and if it really bothers people then you're the 1s with bigger problems. the media don't make u win or lose football matches.

12 Oct 2017 15:44:40
bruisedbear, I worked at the Record during 9IAR and I can assure you that the sports desk was just as anti-Rangers then as it is now. The changes in management ove the past few years have just meant that mentality is now spread throughout the paper as it is now totally in the hands of the republicans.

12 Oct 2017 21:02:49
Sam, Regardless of their political persuasion, it's not The Record's fault we keep shooting ourselves in the foot. If we had gone 60 odd games undefeated, they'd find it much more difficult to find flaws or justify crass but negative stories. And if it was anti Rangers back in the day - they hid it well in their coverage because the paper loved Rangers then as far as I recall - at least outwardly.

You'll appreciate that I don't have your insight - so that's an external opinion.

12 Oct 2017 21:04:33
My god 🤔.
