I see the Marble Staircase has been adorned with new canvasses of various Ibrox legends. There are plenty of portraits of these men already around The Blue Room etc. I'm just wondering where the money came from for these paintings when the stadium is in dire need of a lick of paint, among many other things.

Gkk)spot on mate,I love Ibrox with a passion and still think there's not many better when packed and bouncing, however no denying the disrepair it's fallen into, the toilets are embarrassing, and the paintwork has seen better days, pretty much like the playing and coaching staff (SM excluded)over the last four years,we can only hope DK & T3Bs àre true to their word and will invest, and do have investors lined up to sort on and off field issues.

They don't belong to the new board they where commissioned in 2013, I have no problems with pictures of smith, Wallace are Jardine but I find the other one of mcculloch, mccoist Wallace and Alexander as the new pioneers as completely out of touch with what most fans would want on the marble staircase, especially Alexander he is no pioneer are club legend!

Yes hooly, totally correct. Pictures by Helen Runciman were commissioned by previous directors.
There is no way that McCoist, Alexander or McCulloch should hold such a privileged position, as it detracts from other more deserving subjects.

alexander was never a ledgend

Wull, Alexander stayed with youz when first relegated to the 3rd Division and then stayed with you for a further 2 seasons and took a pay cut in those 2 seasons and I don't think he would have been on that much. Then youz just punted him without warning. sally and Big JUG have no right to be there but at least Alexander showede his true colours by taking the pay cut and staying. Shame on you all. Hail Hail

{Ed039's Note - Where did you get your information? Alexander stayed one season in 3rd division (probably because nobody would match his wage) and then left under freedom of contract because he wanted more money when he was offered less, he did not take a paycut at all, he left because he was offered a contract on less than his previous deal. The reason he got money in courts is he had a clause in his contract which said if McGregor left and he became first choice keeper he would get a pay rise. So your argument is gash and not accurate at all, so shame on you pal)

Fair enough ED and apologies, I always thought he was a good guy too. Why would anyone ever think he should have a painting as a new legend? Hail Hail

Just a thought guys!!
I liked the shape of the team on Saturday, 3.5.2 but why not switch Smith and Wallace throughout the game and give the opposition something tae think aboot, do the same on the other side with Foster and McGregor. We should be making our opponents think!!!

if our we do get promoted to the prem
then I seriously doubt free agents and loan players will cut it for club there needs to be serious investment or we could see our selves come straight back down if hearts are able to bid 400k for nito datkovic when big clubs like juventus German and English teams are after him just shows how far rangers are behind in transfer market looking at freebies and loans

McCall whilst manager at Motherwell formed a team that finished 2nd in the SPL on a limited budget so if and it's a big if we go up to the Premiership hopefully so then I am sure we would manage to finish in the top six but we do need players to leave Ibrox and bring others in on lesser wages.

Morning Bears. Good result on Saturday at Palmerston Park. I think we have one foot in the semi-final play-off tie. Having beaten Hibs relatively recently I feel confident we can beat them over two legs. It seems that young Murdoch is a new star. On the subject of the SFA and Dave King, I think it is a disgrace that they are dragging this out. What on earth is stopping them making a ruling one way or another. Do they want Rangers to fail? I've not much faith in that shambles of an organisation anyway. I had £50 to win on Rangers on Saturday at even money so that paid for my weekend's beer!

According to a newspaper it's Dave King who is dragging things out, not that I believe everything I read in that paper.

Well done on the win btw.
