Peter bosz Bayer coach Apparently wants the rest of tourney to be cancelled
Because of virus

I'd be happy for the league to be abandoned too - good shout Bosz 🤣🤣

All seriousness though it's getting scary and feel for people having to deal with this right now and could be anyone of us in near future so joking aside
He might have a point

Who I would feel bad for is Liverpool they have played amazing and waited so long to win there league
Surely if it came to it because of the amount of points they had I would hope they would be granted it they deserve it without doubt no matter who you sippers if any down south Liverpool wholeheartedly deserve to be awarded it if anything should happen

Up here however it's not a forgone conclusion so definitely would need to be wiped and start afresh next season 😂😂

And virus aside I think big bosz man is now running scared

Come on the Gers get fecking into them from first whistle.

So I put a post on the other night can't find it now as it's maybe too far back

What's everyone's thoughts on game being played behind close doors

Do you think will work in our favour or not

My earlier post I said I didn't think it would help our cause

But looking at it maybe it will help especially if we get a result tomorrow night
If we don't then I definitely don't think it will help our cause

Reasons
Bayer will be bringing A game and will be up for it as there not playing like us hot and cold or in our situation it's been more cold than hot although we're doing very well in Europe so holding on to some belief we can get result tomorrow night

But my thoughts were without our fans over there to cheer team on then they may not have the urge to turn on there A game and stay in 1st 2 nd gear
That's why I said I thought it might be worse for us having no fans

Bayer may not bed there home support to just come and play the way they can
Unlike our team at present need all the help to keep them going
And even then it's not helped against hearts, St Johnstone etc
You know the rest

Anyway that was my original thoughts on it
But to get a result tomorrow night then it may well be Bayer would need home support to get them back into it and then it' falls into our benefit 😊

Wow even for me that' was long winded haha.

12 Mar 2020 08:26:16
NO game should be played behind closed doors football is part of the entertainment industry, imagine The Phantom of the Opera at the Royal Albert Hall going ahead behind closed doors, absolutely pointless. Did you watch PSG v Dortmund last night? that's not football.

12 Mar 2020 10:34:55
It’s not
So other option is cancel until crisis is over then?

11 Mar 2020 18:41:04
Do we have covers to keep the rain off the pitch, or are they just for frost?

11 Mar 2020 22:28:29
Thought we had undersold heating for frost?
Never seen covers for years.

11 Mar 2020 17:02:12
With Ryan Jack being out of game tomorrow, do you think that Katic or possibly Halliday could be used as a defensive midfielder?

I think that Katic could add a bit of physicality in the midfield.

11 Mar 2020 17:43:10
I don't like the idea of katic as a holding midfielder at all. Be better using Polster.

11 Mar 2020 18:44:45
Katic as a midfielder? Isn’t ball retention a key requirement of midfield play? Katic is worse than awful. Good shout on Halliday though. Should have been given his chance long ago. Davis and kamara have been terrible since New year so I doubt he could be any worse.

12 Mar 2020 08:40:06
Halliday is an awful midfielder and way below the quality required. Polster would be a better bet.

11 Mar 2020 16:38:12
With drinkwater looking at getting sent bk Chelsea would he be welcome at ibrox with cfc picking up 75%his wage a don't know much about SG and FL friendship even if there is one but if they are this could help what's the thoughts cheers.

11 Mar 2020 17:44:30
They're friendship doesn't really mean anything when it comes to money. The Chelsea board won't care how good friends he is with Gerrard, they'll want as much money as possible.

11 Mar 2020 16:15:33
So the round about is coming back round again and we are being told too jump onto the ride. Hong Kong investors and 20 million coming our way. Is this some sort of dream I am having. De ja vu maybe? Its funny this crap always comes round when its time to put our hands in our pockets again. Sorry but I am not buying it again. I will believe it when I see it.

11 Mar 2020 17:04:56
So you won’t be renewing? 😢🇬🇧.

11 Mar 2020 17:38:44
I will always renew mate. By not buying it I meant investor nonsense. I never meant not buying my seat. I didn't see myself having to explain that. Anything else in that 7 lines you didn't manage understand lol.

11 Mar 2020 19:41:28
Your a sharp lad c/ Ibrox and some of us are not🤪🇬🇧.

11 Mar 2020 19:57:37
Well this is true brother lol.

11 Mar 2020 15:34:57
Anyone seen how our pitch is after a this nearly constant downpours.

Last I saw it was a quagmire an god knows what it'll be like after tommorows Europa game and the mhanks game after that.

Mind you great excuse if we don't win those eh.

11 Mar 2020 15:32:35
Terrible year for me and never mind the media, other teams, and the SFA I hate us right now. This is Bluepete then Bluepeter had to re-register AGAIN. Tav, I have been one of his supporters, he. s having a real bad year/ season. I hope we sell him and he does well down south.

11 Mar 2020 10:40:37
Any bars in Southend likely to show the game Thur night?

11 Mar 2020 11:11:18
It's on in the hope hotel mate on the sea front. Possibly the cricket club at chalk well where we watch the old firm.

11 Mar 2020 11:59:09
Just checked. Just the hope.

11 Mar 2020 12:49:39
Nice1 cheers mate.

11 Mar 2020 13:20:03
No problem mate. Maybe see you there.

11 Mar 2020 16:49:27
Oooh a wee date 😉🤣🤣 joking lads, enjoy, hopefully a wee win for us!

11 Mar 2020 18:14:45
😂😂😂😂.

13 Mar 2020 00:21:51
My meeting got cancelled due to Coronavirus. Maybe next time mate.

11 Mar 2020 10:23:16
Good morning guys. Just had the pleasure of bumping into a man called David Smith who you may be familiar with. He is the guy that has just completed a charity run from his home in Kirkintilloch to Dingwall for the Ross County game. He was doing this in the hope of raising £10,000 for the Rangers Charity Foundation. What a challenge and for a great cause. The man is a true inspiration.

Unfortunately the target of reaching £10,000 has fallen well short and as of this morning the funds raised sit at £1900. I thought I would mention this on here to see if any of you kind bears could contribute to the fundraising. He is on twitter as David Smith Runner and a link to his fundraising page is there.

He had great exposure appearing on Rangers TV and on Sky Sports but his efforts in my opinion far outway the level of fundraising he has achieved.

Sorry about posting this guys but if you can please get behind this. Much appreciated.

11 Mar 2020 09:57:49
Out of all the players out on loan who can we genuinely see coming back and challenging for a place in the first team? Murphy scoring for fun for Burton, good playing well for Hibs and young Ross Mccrorie getting a game at RB. These are the three that spring to mind for me.

11 Mar 2020 11:40:49
Gerrard, only McCrorie has any chance of coming back and fighting for a place.

11 Mar 2020 13:52:16
I think u could be right Covenanter.

11 Mar 2020 16:51:15
Young steven kelly may be in snd around the squad next year. I'd have murphy back, outside of kent he's the best winger on our books.

11 Mar 2020 06:17:44
Jamie Murphy scored anther two goals last night v Bolton. He's surely match sharp/ fit now, so if there's an option in the deal, I'd bring him back now, but if not he definitely deserves a chance next season. However, I fear he won't as I get the impression with Gerard, if you're out of sight, you're out of mind as the saying goes. Ah, but he's not Rangers class I hear some say - whatever that means now.

11 Mar 2020 08:45:36
My concern is that is his level simiar to waghorn joe garner etcc.

11 Mar 2020 09:24:35
Waghorn is still scoring goals down south too.

11 Mar 2020 09:34:29
Sir Struth learn the rules, there is no option to bring any player back out with the window.
He’s there to get games and match fitness in the hope he might be good enough too get in squad next year.

11 Mar 2020 09:45:26
I always felt that the problem Jamie Murphy had was one of confidence after his long layoff, he seems to have rectified that, and I'd be very disappointed if he didn't get a shout next season.

11 Mar 2020 10:08:05
Till a die I feel u could be right re Murphy, however I would hope he has more to offer than ojo and Barker.
Key is if our manager decides he is surplus, we should move him on, as save us half a million in wages per year.

11 Mar 2020 05:32:50
Well we got 3 points from Ross County, albeit the signs are still there domestically that more points will be dropped, unconvincing considering we put 3 past them in dingwall at the end of October with relative comparative ease 🤔 on a positive note nobody injured for the Bayern game, although no surprises there Huh 🤔 part of me can’t help feeling that the club and fans are divided in terms of demands, it’s becoming obvious to me that Europe and getting europa money is more important to the club than anything and domestic success is more important to the fans 🤔 it certainly would explain a lot, it would just be nice for them to come out and admit that’s what’s going on and that’s why our shortcomings domestically are somewhat defended, it would also explain why the players seem to think it’s ok to play garbage 🗑 in the league and cup, just seems to me they’ve all been told europa success is the protocol 🤔 well no point doing anything than getting right behind europa success more than ever now, it’s as good as our only competition left, it’s a good chance for more badly needed finances, But all in all it’s the best way to stick it to Celtic with hope of domestic success fading gradually like a mediocre 1-0 victory at dingwall, sorry for not celebrating mediocrity, only thing this rangers team has proven all season is that your budget means nothing unless the players put the work in, let’s hope they take that attitude to the Bayern game 🤔.

11 Mar 2020 09:22:48
Let's not get beyond ourselves. Bayern are in the Champions League last 16. It's Bayer we're playing.

11 Mar 2020 09:49:34
I don't think we have any other option but to prioritise the area we are playing in which will bring in up to 10 times what we would earn domestically. Don't get me wrong, it will be terrific when we lift that trophy again, but, in the meantime let's not put ourselves in a position where the rest of the teams get the opportunity to send us to Elgin and places like that again on league duty.

11 Mar 2020 10:40:07
So you are basically saying the players have been told to go out and play garbage domestically? Absolute nonsense mate.

11 Mar 2020 15:57:06
Every Saturday, that's not what I'm saying at all, would you have preferred us to not be in Europe, and win the league and pocket £3 Million, our Club is only getting better financially because of playing in Europe, and the money we are making from it, this will avoid (hopefully) the need for further soft loans and, borrowing from Close Brother e. g. I want to win the league as much as anyone, but I wouldn't throw stupid money at it, and bankrupt ourselves, we cannot compete with Celtic financially at this time, because of our previous overspending, and our years in the wilderness of the lower leagues. I know a lot of people won't agree with this point, but, if we want our Club to survive we must get our finances stabilised very soon, hopefully this incoming investment, and board reshuffle mentioned today will help us get towards this quickly.

11 Mar 2020 17:18:08
My post was for the main poster, not yourself.

11 Mar 2020 17:22:15
Incidentally, I couldn’t agree with your post anymore. Some folk on here think we should stop 10 at all costs but Europe is where the money is. I’d rather we were on a solid financial footing but I’m not buying for a minute that we have been dreadful domestically under instructions.

11 Mar 2020 22:56:43
Thanks Everysaturday, I just feel there's too much emphasis on this 10, yes, none of us want them to get it, but not at any cost.

11 Mar 2020 00:23:11
another brace from Murphy tonight. Stevie, pay a visit to specsavers then get Murphy recalled from his loan, he should be in OUR squad!

{Ed001's Note - not sure he can be recalled on a cross-border loan, because it is seen as an international one.}

11 Mar 2020 09:35:30
Ritchie you can not recall a player from loan mid season.

11 Mar 2020 15:34:34
ok I understand, maybe we will recall him when the summer window opens? I hope so because I think he is trying hard and deserves another chance with us. Ojo will be gone and hopefully Barker will be sold, so there's definitely a space in the squad that Murphy could fill.

11 Mar 2020 16:02:54
You can insert recall clauses into loan deals.

11 Mar 2020 16:53:37
Only to be called back during the transfer window c of I.

11 Mar 2020 18:20:24
You can on football manager. just saying 🤣.

10 Mar 2020 23:42:45
is it possibly time for a revamp of the leagues here? Still having the Premier league of 12, but changing the other leagues to the championship of 18 and a league 1 of 18? this would entail bringing in 6 teams from the Highland and Lowland leagues and maybe the best in junior football, but the new 18 team leagues would only play each other twice in a season thus reducing the travel costs for clubs and fans.

just thinking out loud?

11 Mar 2020 09:53:22
Common sense ritchie1, but on that basis the SFA and SPFL would never adopt it, 4 times a season is stupid in regards to playing the same teams.

11 Mar 2020 16:54:32
Should be 3 bigger leagues, the spl is too small.
