Watched Bryson tonight, wasn't impressed, we can do better than him.

11 Jan 2019 23:44:52
Can’t judge a player on 1 game.

12 Jan 2019 01:27:36
We have not been, are not, and never will be interested in this guy. Give your nappers a rest please.

12 Jan 2019 11:21:38
Certainly not rangers class.

12 Jan 2019 11:44:05
I can't see why we would need him so I hope it's not true.

11 Jan 2019 17:21:40
Hi fellow bears, I am perplexed by the announcement by broadcasters premier sports on their coverage of the Scottish cup, all the same people as who work for bt sport who are also working for bbc, is this the way they will weasel into ibrox to cover a match, I won't give thenm a brass cent ( I will continue paying my monthly subs. to RTV and watch via my vpn, but if any fellow bear wants to watch it you can buy for £5 on RTV to see the game and not listen too that knob prattle on, wee Tom can be a pain sometimes but at least he is our pain.

11 Jan 2019 18:14:08
Got to disagree on wee Tom, guys a superstar, RTV wouldn't be the same without him. Love to see him commentate on Sky or BT on a Rangers game with full Blue bias, LOL, would make a change from Andy "ive got a pic of Tierney in my toilet" Walker.

11 Jan 2019 20:29:00
tom miller is terrible.

11 Jan 2019 21:48:38
Tom miller is horrific to listen too, no harm to him but he makes my ears bleed👍.

11 Jan 2019 22:55:42
Tom Miller is unique and brings a very informed perspective to his commentary.

12 Jan 2019 09:49:03
informed on what? pointless facts from years gone. He can't even get the players names right.

his phrases are pathetic - turned a nelson, taking home the size 5 spherical etc.

awful, spoils the games for me.

11 Jan 2019 15:40:36
Was reading, some, of our fans didn't want Bryson cause he's a Celtic fan now forget Bryson.
As a kid. 25-30 years ago I'd sit on the bus singing sectarian songs now as a man I think they have no place at our club. My only religion is my wife and 3 kids. I love our club and the history and traditions are very important.

Ed, could you put up a poll please?
Do you think we should sign players purely on football abilities, yes or no.
thanks in advance.

{Ed033's Note -

Rangers Signing Poll

11 Jan 2019 17:34:46
Bluepete i'm exact same my dad and uncles used to sing the sectarian songs and i was brought up in that culture i now font care about that stuff but i still love glasgow rangers me and my son love days out at ibrox.

11 Jan 2019 20:20:14
Ok then, so at the end of the tims game and the whole stadium is singing the billy's, you lads are not singing it?

11 Jan 2019 21:47:56
Blue Pete, I grew up in sectarian era in 80s when we couldn't beat carpets. New Rangers is wonderful to watch and a truly protestant institution. TBH don't care if we play 11 Eskimos. 1-0 win against timmies wonderful standard to Base rest of season on. but no posts on protestant advantage / Catholic implosion. And that's way it should be. It is obvious there are Catholic players at club but again that's way it should be. I don't hide from fact I'm big SG fan and as regards playing side will back him 100%.

11 Jan 2019 22:25:38
I thought every club would sign players based on ability and affordability. If they happen to support that team then it's a bonus.

11 Jan 2019 22:29:41
Yip paul your right i wasnt singing the billy boys at the end of the game and ill tell u why i was brought up in a properly staunch area in lanarkshire and all my family are rangers fans but my mum married again to a catholic and a big celtic fan they had a son my half brother who is a celtic fan also. now if i was to be seen singing the billy boys in front of him what kind of disrespect is that to show your brother and i also don't want my young children hearing any of that.

12 Jan 2019 00:02:12
For me, purely football ability is not enough. Mentality, character etc are just as important. Celtic fans should never shame our shirt. Rangers for Rangers men!

We are the people!

12 Jan 2019 01:23:14
God's not real. Anyway don't care what bullsh! t religion any player follows. As long as he's not a celtic fan he can sign for us. Ps glad to see that wee snake ohallaron failed in kangaroo footballw too.

12 Jan 2019 06:45:26
There have been plenty of Celtic fans play for Rangers and the same goes the other way. Players should be picked purely on ability. I don't care what team they support or what religion they are as long as they give 100% for us.

12 Jan 2019 11:53:18
There's more to playing for Rangers than ability, are people saying that no matter what, if you're a good player then you can wear the famous colours? I for one would NEVER accept that hingoot griffiths in a Rangers shirt no matter how many goals he scored for us but look at the tims they hold him up as some kind of hero. Well, my standards are a lot higher.

12 Jan 2019 14:36:29
Well said sharpy_85, as long as the
Player has the correct attributes and gives 100% then that's all that matters. 👏👍.

11 Jan 2019 14:20:19
One week to go lads and we’ll have a game to look forward to! For Cowdenbeath I’d go 4-4-2 and strong.

McGregor
Tavernier
McAuley
Katic
Wallace

Candeias
McCrorie
Davis
Middleton

Defoe
Morelos

Great to have so many options and formation possibilities let’s Go!

11 Jan 2019 15:46:01
I'd definitely rest Jack and Goldson, both have player a lot of football. Maybe give Hardie a start to allow Morelos to rest and have the likes of Kelly and Dallas in the squad to hopefully get a run out.

Defoe and David needs the game time so it's a no brainer to have them both start.

11 Jan 2019 15:54:49
Agree mate, Andy Dallas and Defoe could be a shout for starting! Also Defoe may not be risked on the plastic pitches at Kilmarnock and Livingston so might be a good plan to rest Morelos, looking forward to it!

11 Jan 2019 17:48:50
Here we go,

11 Jan 2019 18:56:33
Not a game to be introducing boys as they would be in danger of harm from the caber tossers. Start those who need more game time like Flanagan, Lafferty etc. And we won't go 4-4-2, 5-3-2, 4-3-2-1, or anything other than 4-3-3, the manager's chosen system which fits his playing philosophy. And which doesn't require a 'No,10' by the way.

11 Jan 2019 19:23:47
So with the 433 where does Moreloes and Defoe fit into that team mate? Defoe hasn't came here to play second fiddle and both would be wasted wide with our current system. I'd be very surprised to see us play the same formation in the second half of the season given the signings of Defoe and Davis.

11 Jan 2019 21:49:43
Funny that asa, gerrard said he was open to the idea of 442👍.

12 Jan 2019 07:57:43
Don’t know what the pitch will be like but is it worth risking Defoe on it if it’s terrible? The guys quality and we need to get him game time along with Davis I get that but we should be able to beat Cowdenbeath without him. In saying that there Park is probably better than the next 2 we play on. Kilmarnock and Livingston parks are terrible.

12 Jan 2019 10:40:20
A rest? The boys will have been away for three weeks . I would imagine they would be chewin their grannies heed aff fur a game . especially after the 29 th. Our only rest will be after the Scottish cup and championship is back in our locker.

11 Jan 2019 12:46:33
Well if ever there was a reason for not getting premier sports, Sutton is unveiled as the voice of premier sports at least he can annoy two men and a dog on that channel that's about all that watch it.

11 Jan 2019 17:37:34
I disagree, i actually like listening to Sutton, he speaks his mind and yes he's biased. Whether he speaks the truth is irrelevant to me. Its the entertainment value i enjoy. He obviously winds people up and gets people talking.

11 Jan 2019 17:43:21
Anyone else notice that they ALL work for bt sport and bbc radio and tv! Mutton I accept is a wine grape but to hear McCoist and Craigan badmouth everything RFC related the only one who tries to defend us is Kevin Thomson, I won’t give a bent penny from my pension ( subscribe to RTV and using a good vpn watch on our channel) at least on sky we know that scrote Walker is biased he doesn’t hide it, infact you might find McCann and miller missing for a while after using the royal WE a few times in rangers discussions .

11 Jan 2019 18:13:13
So bigoted you will only listen to someone that says nice things about Rangers? I despair! 😞.

11 Jan 2019 18:59:18
Edg, not bigoted to expect impartiality of comment and parity of esteem, is it?

11 Jan 2019 19:43:54
Edg, get a grip. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. doesn't matter colour or religion, we are all equal. My best mate is catholic and a die hard Celtic fan. He enjoys his football team like we all do. i'm sick of this bigotry nonsense. Everyone has differences but we should learn to accept that and live in peace.

11 Jan 2019 21:50:04
A bit of impartiality would be a welcome change👍.

11 Jan 2019 12:44:32
Shinnie for barasic? Who told you that? Jim Morrison and the weird naked Indian? Lay off the peyote lad 👍🏻👍🏻.

11 Jan 2019 17:24:15
Superb pal, still Pmsl typing this.

11 Jan 2019 10:22:11
So I was at the Burton Albion vs Man City game on Wednesday night.

My partner (who dragged me down south away from Ibrox : (! ) is from Burton so since I never had an English team, they've sort of become my surrogate. even though I live in London lol.

It's a real shame for that team, have been to the Pirelli about 7 times now to watch them play, even in League One they are strapped for cash. Usually get about 3-4,000 fans per game which is the low end of the clubs in even League Two.

Raj Athwal former Rangers Commercial Director works for them now, obviously Templeton is there too (he's been a revelation for them) .

I'd personally love to see Rangers loan them a few boys as it would seriously help them.

Liam Boyce is 100% there best player on the park, I'd expect him to leave in the summer for the Championship.

If ever any bluenoses want a game down south, let me know as some good wee brewery pubs in Burton!

11 Jan 2019 11:00:53
Having watched Liam Boyce in the Irish league and for Northern Ireland I can assure you he isn’t good enough for the championship.

11 Jan 2019 00:07:20
Greg Stewart away back to Birmingham, but in last 6 months of his contract. Worth a punt? He's been pretty decent for Kilmarnock tbf.

12 Jan 2019 10:52:24
Hopefully that weakens them then.

10 Jan 2019 23:04:30
Any one no what’s happening with the invisible man (Penna)

11 Jan 2019 00:31:36
pena the mystery man, herrera scored on his debut for necaxa last night i feel as tho he never really got a chance with us hopefully gets a few goals while on loan and puts himself in the shop window, maybe we could get some money for him.

11 Jan 2019 12:50:35
Herrera out of contract in summer.

11 Jan 2019 13:39:18
Dunfermline no he is not, contracted to rangers till 2020 june.

11 Jan 2019 15:25:26
He never got a chance? 2 goals in 24 games I think was his record for us. He got more than a fair crack at the whip.

11 Jan 2019 15:56:13
Herrera didn't start 24 games. What I saw of him, he at least looked like he tried. Just don't think he was good enough. Those Mexicans have / are costing us a fortune, in transfer fees and wages.

11 Jan 2019 21:46:28
Whether or not he started is irrelevant. He had more than enough game time to prove himself and he proved that he was worse than useless👍.
