Yes, recruitment is key but on paper we are boxing well above our weight. This proves that the teams tactics, shape, condition etc is spot on. But. What about the job the doctors, physios fitness guys are doing?

Not only do we play aggressive with high tempo, our guys are smiling during matches ( not looking bright red/ looking ill. 😂)
No cv issues, no major injuries etc. Major hat off from me.

Don't know but you're right, the whole package at the moment is excellent. I've never seen a fitter squad or a squad where every single player knows his job inside out and seems to slot seamlessly into the system. Good times.

Just looking for your thoughts guys for some debate, if we had to lose one player at the end of the season from kent, barasic or kamara, with bids from another club between £15m-£20m for talking sake for each player, who would you let go if the club was to agree to sell one of them come the end of the season? Ideal outcome is we get a run in the europa latter stages and generate more cash so no one is sold as i want to keep our best players to build on the good work produced so far this season but just to get some of your thoughts?

I would say there’s not much in it for me I wouldn’t separate them much. Both are of similar quality both defensively and going forward. Tierney maybe a bit better defensively but not much in it. Borna is great at set pieces though. U would maybe take Tierney because of age but balance that against injury record and would take barasic. I couldn’t separate them so I’ll say borna 😂.

The lad's form did drop last season but then that could be said for almost the whole squad. I've been watching football at Ibrox for close on 60 years now and Glen Kamara is definitely up there with the best of them. That's how high I rate him.

Ingerrard we trust i believe Gerrard has the ability to outdo advocats team. Remember this is early days and from what Gerrard inherited look how far we have come in so little time. If he keeps progressing at the rate he has already improved us then this rangers team can be really special. Uv got to remember the funds advocat had at his disposal compared with Gerrard and also the team he inherited compared to gerrard. In Gerrard We Trust. Onwards n upwards to hopefully champions league automatically season after season. Also advocat wasnt competing against a celtic team aiming for 10 in a row. Keep firth as back up. Definitely Jones, Stewart, barker need to go with one wide player comping in their place. Try get barjonas, Middleton mcpake and the like out on loan with hope of moving on permanently for money. Perhaps Katie or edmundson move out on loan to get game time and fitness. I only see the need for 1 player coming in and it’s a wide player to compete with Kent or play on the right but I’m more than happy with roofes progress.

I would be ver, unless absolute silly money comes in. Those at the end of their current deal in June will hang on, as they can get a better deal as freebies. Loans out however, might be a few. surprised if more than 1 or 2 go. Improving contracts for the best performing players ( and there have been a few! ), might limit our ability to bring anyone in as well.

Is this rangers squad the best squad since the early days of advocaat? They aren't better than that squad, that team were so unlucky in champions league and won treble and double, absolute class act to watch in an old 442 formation and took some big big scalps, but are they the best since then? Advocaat lost it towards end, Mcleish got the best anyone could get from a slightly above average squad. He said himself he was getting 3rd n 4th choice for each position. Le guen was poor, smith got the best out what he had and it just went downhill from there, so we prob have the best rangers squad in 20 years. Thoughts guys?

Yeah this is definitely the best squad since Advocaat. It's also the best football since him.

I was pretty critical of SG at times last year and the turnaround has been incredible. Brilliant recruitment and clearly brilliant work on the training ground. Nothing is beyond us this year. We got to a European final with a team nowhere near as good as this one.

Always liked Itten, Coldo. That's the best I've seen him play as the number one striker and focal point up front last night.
I would like to see him get a run of games but just now Gerrard sees Morelos, Roofe and Kent as our front 3 but what a back up ( along with Defoe ) striker to have.
Zungu brings a superb range of passing and dig with him though I'm not so sure he would oust Jack or Davis yet. Though again brilliant options to have. 👍.

Agree mr potato head, Morelos has served us very well and continues to work for the team.
Itten will become a big player for us going forward, especially when Alf moves on, I feel itten played a lot off games before we signed him and looked tired.
He has settled in and really looks a player, I consider we will see much more off him next season.

Here’s a list of the teams we could draw Young Boys, Molde, Slavia Prague, Granada, Real Sociedad, Braga, Lille, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Antwerp, AC Wolfsberger, Red Star Belgrade, Krasnodar, Red Bull Salzburg, Dynamo Kyiv and Olympiacos. Of all they teams the only one I would be genuinely worried about would be Sociedad who have a hell of a team. Other than that all the other teams are beatable.
