Use our rumours form to send us rangers transfer rumours.

I'd be the first to admit the Rangers statement was, at best clumsy and at worst stupid, but some of the guff being spouted in the papers is wild!
That twit in the s*n is talking about everything from rioting fans, bigoted club to tax evasion. Any reason going, to verbally abuse us it seems
I'm confused though, because as far as I can see, we have not hired a coach that we didn't get to talk to!
The whole thing was only a massive fuss because the very people who made a fuss of it, are now making a bigger fuss.
Couldn't make it up
No one likes us, we don't care!

12 Dec 2017 06:38:17
I'd agree to a certain extent. Rangers have been dragged through the mud because the board have chosen to do thing their way (Rightly or wrongly) . what annoys me is the suggestion that we dragged it out, was unprofessional with Aberdeen and DM and blaming us for the continued 'speculation' (which only the media can create) . Let's get it right. 6 weeks ago when PC was sacked, DM could have came out immediately and said "No, I'm an Aberdeen man. not going anywhere. 100%"

There you go, speculation squished!

Your fault Aberdeen and DM. (but that statement was childish. )

11 Dec 2017 15:24:12
Spoke to a manager yesterday in the championship, said the DM deal was done, Jack Ross was to go to Aberdeen and he was to go to st mirren. Was raging it fell through. He thinks Steve McLaren will be our next manager. Not my choice just passing on what he thinks from a man in the know.

11 Dec 2017 18:09:55
So there's a championship manager who is well enough 'in the know' to have the ear of both boards, the sheep and Rangers? Aye right.

11 Dec 2017 22:37:36
Who was to go to st mirren?

12 Dec 2017 08:07:14
Lol Steve umbrella hahaha.

11 Dec 2017 14:55:29
My worry now is a bid in January for big mcrorrie it sounds as if we are desperate for cash I can see someone testing our resolve for around 1.5 million that would help us from needing loans to keep finances going but what a potential loss that could be, big lad looks like he a potential good mine both as a player and a longer term sell on.

11 Dec 2017 15:06:21
we shouldn't be selling our young talent at all never mind small fees like 1.5 if any club wants any of our young talent we should make them pay just look at the mackay situion

11 Dec 2017 15:22:52
Totally agree 100% but If a bid like that comes in I'd be interested to see what we do

11 Dec 2017 16:42:57
we should be looking to shift high earnears not the younsters so personally i would knock it straight back and keep him along with windass baronjas morelos they have great potenial

11 Dec 2017 17:31:08
In the process of signing a new contract with dof. Good news, boy looks like he has everything.

11 Dec 2017 18:10:52
Agree with Craig that high earners are far more likely to be moved out, but everyone has a price. Looking at other deals, the money available in England and the fact that McCrorie is under contract, I'd assume that any bid for the boy would have to start at £5m minimum. Then again, that could double or even treble within a year or two if he continues to progress, impress and break into the Scotland team - and the board will understand that.

11 Dec 2017 19:59:11
DLC, rangers fc are banging on about youth. this and that then go sell a youngster for 1.5M umm ok? Hypocritical? Try 5M plus or no sell cause if not rangers fc look stupid as well.

11 Dec 2017 23:30:30
I doubt it he's not had a full season and I think he will be judged on his performances against celtic if someone is going to pay big money.

12 Dec 2017 08:08:31
No pressure then. Let the guy progress before you have him sold. Sign a new deal or new Danny Wilson. Guy looks good but let him develop and grow as a player before we and he cashes in. Common sense please.

12 Dec 2017 12:47:46
i’m not saying we should sell any of our young players, but to think we would get 5M for anyone in our squad is ridiculous

11 Dec 2017 13:29:14
Maybe Billy Davies will come back into the reckoning as he would definitely not turn down the offer of being Rangers' manager!

11 Dec 2017 13:36:54
i don't think he is in a position to turn down managing his local newsagent never mind us 😂 personally wouldn't trust him with either

11 Dec 2017 15:01:22
I have just read the Jackson article and I agree with him. No doubt those who think it's the Daily Rebel won't. Remember they think it's the Daily Ranger so they can't win. Our statement was a complete embarrassment and for Derek McInnes to turn us down worries the rubbish out of me.

11 Dec 2017 15:46:37
Jackson just having another dig at rangers along with Leckie in the sun.

Everyone agrees the statement released was terrible and poorly thought out and managed.

His article has Nothing about Mcinnes doing an 11th hour u-turn. Jackson even doubts if Mcinnes would have increased his salary at rangers.

Wee Mcinnes led the board up the garden path and shafted them. Where was that bit in the article?

11 Dec 2017 16:38:09
That’s cause it wasn’t an 11th hour u turn dm asked for a guaranteed transfer budget which the board couldn’t do so dm said thanks but no thanks

11 Dec 2017 16:41:07
Baz the bear. I agree with u. I forgot the bit about salary. . I think that's pish. Derek McInnes led them up the garden path? Aye. he waited 6 weeks to go to his boyhood heroes then said no for no real reason. Aye right. If u don't think that there is more to this then that your choice. me. no chance he would have knocked Rangers back without good cause. no chance! He might not be right in his assumption but he didn't like something.

11 Dec 2017 17:12:55
Believe what you want. Just pointing out it’s NOT a balanced article

11 Dec 2017 17:45:05
how can you get a balanced article with the 2 biggest snakes in the papers like leckie and jackson, pair of worthless middens

11 Dec 2017 17:48:11
Getting the salary bit wrong. possibly. . doesn't mean it's not a balanced article. I love giving ma Celtic pals pelters about their conspiracy theories and how they get cheated never defeated. . we r getting as bad! We now just seem to want to read and hear things that suits our particular argument. . maybe I'm doing just that! . but I doubt it

11 Dec 2017 18:24:03
My point is Mcinnes was offered the rangers job. I think that is a fact.

The terms offered to him will be the same terms offered to anyone else I would imagine. Better terms and bigger budget than any team apart from Celtic.

In today’s herald Mcinnes was discussing the team for Saturday. Everything was agreed. Even the players thought he was coming. On the rumours page other fans are saying the same. I am just not buying DM is as pure as the driven snow and big bad DK and the rest of the board are the big bad wolf. IMO Mcinnes bottled it. No beef with you Dutch. I thought it was a poor article along with Leckie in the sun .

11 Dec 2017 23:21:51
Cheers Baz. I've not read the article in The Sun. Maybe Derek did bottle it. I just can't see it. I don't really like or dislike any reporter but for me it's their job to dig deep so therefore they should know more than you or me. I remember when my Celtic loving pal was going on about administration and I thought he was talking pants. but he was right. What will be will be. I wanted Derek McInnes to get the job as I thought and still think he's the best man for it. I still cannae believe he said no and that's why I strongly believe that there is more to this.

12 Dec 2017 08:21:49
If you read rubbish your fed rubbish. Just like Sutton Close your ears when he talks. Stop letting press and ex players invade your ears with their nonsense. Barry great player but desperate for a job. Enough.

12 Dec 2017 08:22:14
Dutch, I worked in newspapers at a senior level for many years. Journos are usually fishing just as much as the rest of us, make up as many stories as the rest of us and sometimes walk right into a winner, like the rest of us. They are sometimes also as gullible as the rest of us, and good managers and directors use that to their advantage by feeding them bull.

11 Dec 2017 13:01:14
Agree totally with Gary 75 regarding the BBC. If you haven't listened at night try it. You will be astonished how much bile comes from Tom English, a replacement for Mr. Spence
The man's hatred for rangers knows no bounds

11 Dec 2017 13:04:12
I've heard him a few times now. Whenever Rangers are mentioned he always manages to turn the conversation round to criticise us. Mind you, we don't help ourselves in that regard.

11 Dec 2017 17:50:54
the seeker -how come you answer a post and agree with what the guy is saying and halfway through you do exactly what gannon does by saying we don't help ourselves, that's turning an answer round exactly the same the mind boggles

12 Dec 2017 08:31:36
Who is gannon? and what are you talking about? I just said that whenever I hear Tom English on the radio, he tries to say something negative about our club. Then I mention that I think we don't help our case with the way we handle things nowadays. I assume you don't agree with this and think that the board has always acted impeccably? It's about opinions at the end of the day.

11 Dec 2017 10:03:16
I think we now need to go for a foreign manager. I wanted a British manager but the candidates are poor. Scottish club's will no longer sell their assets to Rangers unless big money is involved. We need to wait to get them on frees. Then all it takes is for the West Brom's and Crystal Palace's to wade in last minute and steal them. Much like what will happen with Walker and McLean. We missed the boat big time on these two and Moult. We now need to look at a different market which is capable of producing in our game. The level of player required is not achievable from English League One. I know think Michel Preud'Homme is as sound a bet as any in the summer with 3 Domestic League Titles under his belt as well as 2 Belgian FA Cups and a Dutch FA Cup. He has a knowledge of the Benelux market and has succeeded everywhere he has been. Time to think outside the box.

11 Dec 2017 11:11:31
I don't fink a foreign manager is a bad idea aslong as its someone with abit of clout and not some guy plucked from the 5th best side in the desert 🌵

11 Dec 2017 18:11:00
The unholy trinity getting dredged up again. Moult, Walker, McLean forever and ever amen. Only Moult would get near a Rangers jersey and even then there's better out there.

12 Dec 2017 08:47:52
Duty calls

Can you please name them then?

11 Dec 2017 06:17:06
Why is Stevie Clarke not in the radar?

11 Dec 2017 08:33:59
Because A he has just signed a new contract at Kilmarnock and B he comes from a family of Celtic fans and I also think we will struggle to get any decent manager in the door or even player who the hell would want to join us we are becoming a joke I have been a huge supporter of King and Co stepping in when no other Rangers people wanted to dig deep ridding us of all those charlatans who occupied our boardroom forcing Ashley out I am thankful for that but the last two managers were a disaster money poured down the drain and the search for a third has been nothing short of an embarrassment and as for their last statement to the media they should hang their heads in shame so a guy decides he doesn't want to work at Rangers and they think it's ok to openly attack the guy in a statement that is not the Rangers I have grown up supporting and I've been a season ticket holder and shareholder for over thirty five years it was childish classless I've no idea who we should go for as they will no they weren't first choice Murty? Not for me we need a man of stature doesn't need to come from a Rangers back ground just some one you respect and look to when he walks into a room or onto a training pitch but who that is I've no idea also who the hell would want to be in charge of this team if Celtic are on the verge of ten in a row so they would need a budget and not a pittance we need three or four quality players no more journey men we have a team full of them now we need the ball players the guys who can do something different open up defences for us look at Sat it wasn't pretty so do we have the money? Wed will be a very hard game no Jack no Dorrans the game will be won or lost in midfield but saying all that our board need to put their hands up and admitt they got that embarrassing statement all wrong maybe King needs to look at his position on the board and one other thing please get that Trainer out of there our PR department is a shambles

11 Dec 2017 09:14:21
That is one of the most pessimistic pieces of bs I've ever read there were plenty who have put themselves forward and plenty more will. There were and still are plenty of us that didn't want mcinnes anyway yet one snub and the sky is falling down. Let's look at this celtic have won one more game than us, they have drawn a lot lately, our loses were avoidable but due to the heads of the players being down after all that had happened and all they hear (most of which is nonsense) from the press, the sending off that shouldn't have been in the hibs game, yet still on current form of both us who are by in large winning most of our games at the moment and celtic who are having drawn more than they'd like to we are in spitting distance and going by the fixtures actually be ahead of them come the old firm. So try and stay positive give yourself a wee slap in the face if you start to believe the negativity, look at the table look at the upcoming matches for us and all about us and realise this league is there to be won and if you don't want to believe that then what is the point in even caring enough to come on here and spout nonsense. Let's face it we are above hibs, hearts, Aberdeen and not far off celtic but do you hear the BBC, waddell, parks, Jackson and the likes talking of them being in crisis, an embarrassment, a joke or an absolute disgrace, no they hate us because they fear that when we get back and take our place at the top that they may have to write something good about us or they may even lose their jobs. and never forget it hated for being the best carrys no shame, hating people or teams purely because of their own success speaks more about the hater than the team.

11 Dec 2017 09:31:28
Well said Gary, we have to keep believing, onwards and upwards

11 Dec 2017 10:05:34
thinkaboutit that gave me a sore head reading it mate. Few full stops wouldn't go a miss.

11 Dec 2017 10:35:04
Well said Gary75. I'm sick to death of the BBC's bias against Rangers and blatantly biased edited highlights on Sportscene. As for the Daily Rag, it hardly merits mentioning. You are right. Had we even won one of the games against Hamilton or Dundee recently we'd be a couple of points behind. We MUST beat Hibs on Wednesday, no doubt about that, but celtic have away trips to Hearts and Dundee and have to face Aberdeen at home before the Old Firm match on 30th December. We should have Dorrans and Jack back for the last three or four games of the year and perhaps Morleos has got his scoring boots on again! Keep positive Bears and stop talking our team down!

11 Dec 2017 12:52:34
Have been saying steve clarke for weeks now

11 Dec 2017 13:30:44
Agreed Gary. The rest hate us! Let them. we don't give a rubbish and never have!
We r doing not too badly sitting 2nd without a manager and considering we r fighting, financially, with one hand behind our back is remarkable! We have just beat the supposed 2nd best team in the league home and away! Let us keep the backing of the team up. the board are making a few mistakes (Who is the Barry Scott fella? ) but they have done well in ridding of us Ashley etc! This has taken significant time and money!
Next season new kit and retail deal to look forward too. BUILD IT AND IT WILL COME! PS Mcinnes bottled it. Tommy Wright Stevie Clark or preud homme would be interesting. Keep the Faith. FIRB

12 Dec 2017 08:32:40
Gary75 it's the boards own admission that no suitable candidates applied for the job that is why they had to go for a man who was in employment, I was at the shareholders meeting when Mr King said it . I see Moult is on his way to Preston we could have had him in the summer a player I'd love to have seen up front for us, I don't think the board has handled the manager search very well at all, they were sure they had their man, what happened in final few hours probably we will never know . We now need to button down the hatches we need to get things on and off the park sorted, share issue, Nomad, bank lending, investment, you can say if we had beat Hamilton and Dundee we'd be a point behind yes true but we didn't, my post was not pessimistic it was a touch of realisation we are not in a good place . Wednesday is a huge game for us Hibs are a good side and will be on a high after their come back so let's see what that brings if we can get a result I'll be the first to start believing you but with Jack and Dorrans out and maybe even Mcrorie it won't be easy

11 Dec 2017 01:28:04
Genuinely think some of our fans have problems with long term memory. Halliday, Forrester etc? It wasn't 7 months ago we couldn't wait to get shot of them 😂

11 Dec 2017 02:42:11
I’ll cry if Halliday gets a game again
