Just want to extend the olive branch to supercooper. I know we've had our moments on here and it's easy to get frustrated on here, but at end of day it's all about opinions. No denying tho that the guys is 110 % true blue welcome back coops.

11 Apr 2019 21:28:59
No problem frustrated blue and all forgotten about mate. We all have our opinions and of course all want what's best for our wonderful football club, the famous glasgow rangers! We all have that in common.

11 Apr 2019 17:53:14
Ed just for the fun can we have a poll on coop being back. 55 happy
Two cups but no league happy
Or oh pish the quadruple quadruple is on.
😉👍🏻
Think it will be appreciated.

Supercoop Poll

11 Apr 2019 16:24:37
I have said before and I will say again, I think we should go for shankland. He is young, a natural predator and goalscorer, and a fan. All this guff about him not being good enough because he plays for a smaller club. All players started at smaller clubs. I remember watching DAVIE COOPER when he played for Clydebank, and obviously whilst I am not remotely comparing him Cooper he should be given a chance. His wage demands would not be high and we could sign him for free. ONWARDS AND UPWARDS THE FAMOUS.

11 Apr 2019 16:39:50
Def worth a punt - wot's to lose.

11 Apr 2019 17:17:19
Zack Rudden is on our books and he scores for fun in the same league for Falkirk, why buy someone else who is not better? If Shankland is a better all round player then your right, so in your opinion is he?

11 Apr 2019 17:28:03
Why not have both?

11 Apr 2019 17:39:45
Cato, why waste 5k a week.

11 Apr 2019 18:22:58
Why would it be a waste? Do you know something us mere mortals do not?

11 Apr 2019 18:28:10
Don't think Shankland and Rudden are same type of player and could play together.

We only have two MAIN regularly chosen first team strikers and both will be off in the near future.

11 Apr 2019 18:44:27
If Defoe was here for another season (he won't get in the Cherries team) and we have Morelos or a new quality striker instead then one or 2 of these lads would bolster the forwards in the first team and gain experience from the 2 first choicers.

11 Apr 2019 20:07:05
Shankland is no where near good enough for spl.

11 Apr 2019 20:35:07
I don't often disagree with you jboy but I have to this time. Being from ayr I've took in some ayr games this season when we've had no game. Think your being a bit harsh, the boys a good finisher and has good movement, there's definitely worse strikers in spl. With the chances we mske he'd score for us 100%.

11 Apr 2019 20:55:17
Fb respect your view, time will tell.

12 Apr 2019 00:04:04
Shankland is prob risk free but is he a 20 goal per season spl striker, I'm not sure. But for let's say 500k he could be worth the gamble👍.

12 Apr 2019 07:49:04
Of course you keep forgetting my mate Hardie who has been scoring in the Premiership for Livingston! Hardie and Rudden maybe?

12 Apr 2019 07:53:35
defoe was an 18 month loan so will be here next season.

12 Apr 2019 11:11:54
Can’t see anything to be gained from signing Shankland, he would add nothing and would prevent one of own youngsters from a place in the first team squad (Hastie, Rudden or Dallas) .

14 Apr 2019 03:28:33
watched shankland the guy has good control and movement and would benefit from playing with better players.

11 Apr 2019 15:18:45
This season is almost done, and as good as the team performed in Europe I think we can all agree the league has been a major disappointment, they were their for the taking this year, we need 15 points for the remaining 5 games, no excuses, we all know that team is good enough just lacking consistency, we are rangers, wearethef***ingpeople🔴⚪️🔵.

11 Apr 2019 23:06:31
Was listening to a radio interview with an English league 1 manager, can't remember exactly who it was but they played at the highest level (might have been scholars when he was at Oldham) . They asked him what it was like working with players of lesser ability. His reply was that there wasn't any difference in ability to players at that level and EPL, he said the difference was in consistency. His players have him one cracking game in every 3 or 4 and at EPL level they are doing it most weeks.

That's where I think we are with a lot of our players. Yes they clearly have ability but fail to turn up a lot of the time. And that goes for most of them.

The only ones I can exclude from that would be Jack and Arfield. I think all the other players are too inconsistent or make too many unforced errors or their discipline let's them down.

Hopefully SG sees this as well and addresses it in the summer.

12 Apr 2019 01:13:47
Got to disagree with you, our most consistent player by a country mile this year is shagger, aye he’s done some stupid stuff but he's 10x better than any other keeper in the league, don’t disagree with the rest though but think we’ll make quite a few signing in summer, 2 or 3 quality players, and a few younger ones that’ll be squad players.

12 Apr 2019 08:49:46
Agreed, shagger is definitely in the same bracket. That's it for me.

Tavernier is close but too many positional errors/ lapses.

Borna is always injured, Halliday is decent, Goldson not physical enough, Worral too many unforced errors, Katic not played enough, Kamara will come good next year, Coulibaly disinterested, Kent no end product, Candeias no end product, Morelos just a fud that needs to realise he is single handedly ruining his career and wisen up!

11 Apr 2019 12:21:45
Welcome back SuperCoop, no harm in sticking up for yourself, banter should be fun, it would be sad if we all thought the same. I reckon Coulibaly, Dorrans, Foddy, and Wallace will all definitely go in the Summer, Docherty coming back to replace Coulibaly, much better in my opinion. Katic surely has to start with Goldstone in every game until the season ends, and I agree Defoe should start ahead of Alfie, his goals ratio to chances and games played is good, e. g. Alfie wouldn't have passed the ball to Arfield last weekend.

11 Apr 2019 20:38:25
Yep it dhould. I actually said on here after he was banned that coops made a lot of good posts on here. However the last couple of weeks before he was banned a lot of his posts were downright abusive to anyone who disagreed, don't know if he was just going through a rough patch it's easy done. Don't want to see anybody banned tho.

11 Apr 2019 10:23:38
What players do you think that SG will release this season end?

1. McAuley
2. Holt
3. Dorrans

and who will he promote from the youth?

1. Atatkayi
2. Middleton
3. Barlonas?

If any?

11 Apr 2019 10:51:34
Would like to see Hardie come in, looks good. Middleton aswell. Barjonas for me doesn't look ready yet. Zak rudden also smashing it at falkirk looks a decent striker, but again maybe loan him to a prem club and see how he gets on.

11 Apr 2019 14:42:20
middleton is already a member of the first team squad.

11 Apr 2019 15:06:56
Don’t think Barjonas will make the first team panel, not next season anyway, I believe the young black guy Mehude not sure of his name spelling, but Stevie G was impressed with his all around play, scores goals and must be given a chance if good enough?

11 Apr 2019 15:27:24
Ivlark? Middleton has played a few times for the first team squad but I would hardly call him a first team member. But that's your opinion.

11 Apr 2019 15:58:58
I’ve watched Hardie a few times of late as I’m from Livingston. He’s not been fit and you can see that however, he’s been miles of the pace, I believe we need a lot better. I’ve not seen much of the younger players but I hope we’ll see a few come through next season.

casimiro and besquets should not be on that list. Agree with Seri though, I thought he would be much better. i doubt he will stay for the championship next year.

See Morelos spouting to the media how good he is and the great goals he has scored.
He also wants to play in the last few games especially against celts so that he can get revenge.

That revenge attitude can only mean one thing to me, he is guaranteed to get sent of again so stevie should bench him for at least the celts game and our last results without him have proven he is not the match winner.

It is now clear he really does not want to be here (in his opinion) at our pokey little club believing he is a world class player.

Yes he has scored lots for us but the sitters he missed and his constant sending off does not convince me he is as good as he thinks he is.

11 Apr 2019 10:08:36
Bb - never known a striker who does not have self-belief. We all know that he wants to move to the premiership (big bucks) and ply his trade - do not see anything wrong with that. And we all know that he is not the finished article, but being South American he is passionate and speaks from the heart and revenge is a dish best served cold.

11 Apr 2019 10:32:32
I wouldn't bother playing him again this season. I'd give Defoe a run for the last five games.

11 Apr 2019 13:11:36
Doiger? - really? and them have him going into a strop and it all goes pear shaped and he goes into a huff. And we all know how that ends!

11 Apr 2019 17:13:31
He does that anyway!

11 Apr 2019 19:55:40
Revenue never works out they’ve been playing ok without him.

11 Apr 2019 23:15:30
Wouldn't let Morelos play another game for us, he's had chance after chance, stick with present formation with Kent in instead of candias.
