The rangers managerial situation has most definitely picked up pace, following dave king's statement on monday! We've all got our favourites to whom we want, to be the next permanent rangers manager! We've all been on here also talking about rumours we've heard, as to the identity, of our new manager beyond this summer! I many times on here have canvassed for graeme murty, to be given a chance and remain our manager, beyond this season! If it wasn't to be murty, i truly think we should appoint a british manager, with experience in british football! Here's a few that should be well in the frame, if its not going to be murty! See what you think fellow bears! The names of these managers are-stevie clarke,
alex neil, steve McClaren, graham potter with billy reid! If the board were to go foreign then the 2 manager's i would consider the best option would be, slaven bilic and michel preud'homme! let's get the debate started here, what do you think fellow bears, to my own personal suggestions?

11 Apr 2018 22:36:26
It shocks me the amount of support on this site for a work experience manager to take permanent charge of a situation which clearly needs a top manager. Every performance has been frustrating and difficult to watch and there is no reason at all to think murty will be in charge next season

11 Apr 2018 23:13:46
Frank de Boer. get your mortgage on it lads.

12 Apr 2018 06:03:07
Hand on heart here gram, when is anybody for the glasgow rangers manager's job my friend? Sometimes continual chopping and changing managers gets you nowhere and truth be told, in a bigger mess for longterm! IMO, graeme murty has experience and enough support round about him, to do a good job at it! Everyday as ranges manager is a learning day! Stability by giving murty the nod to continue, as manager after this season could be the best thing to do! There's many a young coach who's been thrown in at the deep end, came out the other end, a very good manager! Big appointments either british or foreign guarantees nowt! Every appointment is a gamble so by giving murty the job, at least he knows the workings and the full structure inside out! I truly think stability in keeping murty is the correct thing to do!

12 Apr 2018 08:37:33
Will get shot down for this what about arsen wenger as next rangers manager haven't heard him sayet he will retire!

12 Apr 2018 08:41:24
Always like reading your posts Coop👍 It would be interesting how many people we offer the job to, who then say no thanks to King? After having a think Murty is the only option as most Mangers realise how hard it’s going to be to take the title of the east end mob with the prospect of being sacked after 6 months🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

12 Apr 2018 12:28:00
Been reading all the proposals for manager and who should come and who should go player wise. Here is the question to be answered, do you want to spend a few million on a manager, or do you want to spend the same millions or more on players. To my mind both are not possible without serious investment.

12 Apr 2018 12:40:47
Would love to see Wenger at the club but it just won't happen, will it?

12 Apr 2018 17:01:15
Never thought Brenda would be at the pigery either

12 Apr 2018 19:05:07
Aye very true blueblood. Getting Wenger along with investment would be a real coup for the club

11 Apr 2018 20:56:48
If you can afford a new season ticket, you are part of the bears, if you can't afford it you are not a true teddy bear.

That's the reaction I got to complining about the rise.

Seriously.

Rangers rumours posters are fickle.

11 Apr 2018 21:10:33
A bit of a chip on your shoulder BigChief! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
You can’t always blame the system!

11 Apr 2018 21:28:10
BigChief, you got stick for blaming King because you've not had a pay rise for 3 years.

11 Apr 2018 21:52:48
Jyf still earn six figures, come from a working class shankhill family, not forgot my roots.

11 Apr 2018 22:15:35
So you earn at least £100,000 and you can’t afford a £450 season ticket. hmmm think I smell a 🐀somewhere!

11 Apr 2018 22:30:03
Obviously I can afford it colster, unlike you I actually think about the consequences of raising above inflation.

I refuse to renew on principle.

11 Apr 2018 22:38:20
Colster, I value money, like king. It is a great asset which can be a sanctuary when times are bad. Yes, I can afford a season ticket.
I have a family and no job security, but savings and currently earning six figures.
My family comes before Rangers, and always will.
I am from a hand to mouth family and appreciate how hard it is on people, Rangers are what keeps some people alive believe it or not.
That is why I am angry.

11 Apr 2018 22:42:18
so you earn over £100000 and grunge a 5% rise in season tickets but if you are a Rangers fan which I wonder about I suppose you want success but refuse to pay towards it aye right

11 Apr 2018 22:47:56
Thinkaboutit, I will still go to games and go to the Rangers shop before the games.
I refuse to encourage the board by putting 550 up from for a club deck seat. That is all! Wind your neck in!
You are stuck up!

11 Apr 2018 22:50:22
Well if we were managed correctly we could have won the league this season, it's just us paying for King's bad decisions.
Solid manager who makes the players put their life on the line would have shown Celtic for what they are, lucky!

11 Apr 2018 22:51:41
It’s actually below inflation as RPI last year was 3% with no increase in season tickets. RPI this year is 4% with an increase to season tickets at 5%. That would actually make it still -2% over 2 years. like I said if you don’t want to renew that is your perogative, I unlike you will be renewing as over the last 2/ 3 years the board have been fair with ticket pricing so I see it as a bit of loyalty on my part.

11 Apr 2018 23:03:44
Aye mate fair enough but I heard some people got hit by 10%.
I respect anyone who wants to renew, I will still put in too but no ST for me this season.

11 Apr 2018 23:04:33
Nah. I’m not buying it Big chief! For a start a club deck st isn’t £550.👀👀Think we’ve got a live one here boys!

12 Apr 2018 06:43:07
Agree coister, and bigchief ITS STILL NOT KINGS FAULT YOU'VE NOT HAD A PAY RISE.

12 Apr 2018 06:46:17
bigchief, you won't buy a season ticket because you're looking after your family but you want the players to put their lives on the line for Rangers have I got that right?

12 Apr 2018 08:17:25
The guy is correct and I won’t have one for next season either. I feel many will do likewise

12 Apr 2018 08:18:52
I am surprised BigChief isn’t complaining about the 5.5% rise in gas or even more the Scottish Government putting his tax up on the wages he is earning that I could only dream about? Sit down in a dark room mucker and chill! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

12 Apr 2018 11:42:05
life on the line

calm yersel big chief

12 Apr 2018 14:14:46
big chief, you say you come from a working class SHANKILL family yet you can't even spell it? Fantasist.

12 Apr 2018 15:50:35
🙋‍♂️Do I get a bonus point for spotting he's a bog trotter first😂😂

12 Apr 2018 17:06:51
I twigged when he said he is working.

11 Apr 2018 17:58:11
What is the point of the split? I've never understood. The SPL should be increased to 16 teams playing each other twice. Simple. Promote the top four from the Championship for next season. We play the unwashed in the 2nd game which could still be the game in which they win the league, so doh! However, the unwashed have been given 3 home games but two games in Edinburgh. All is not lost yet however, you never know!

11 Apr 2018 18:18:16
If we play each other only twice there will be no money. The money the spl get is basically for the four old firm games.

11 Apr 2018 18:49:38
Sky would pull plug on only 2 old firm games they want 4 spfl want 4 as it only with to full there pockets full of sky. s money why winning championships you win coppers

11 Apr 2018 19:57:48
I totally get the 4 OF games but surely it can't be fair that Hearts (and I am by no means a fan of theirs) have to play 20 away games and 18 home games because they have no European place to play for. How can everybody not just play each other 4 times (2 home and 2 aeay) and do away with the stupid split? There would still be 4 OF games for tv. It is the only fair system

11 Apr 2018 21:53:18
I've said for a while it should be 16. Play every team twice then have the top 8 play each other. Game should be held at the home of team that won the previous 2 games on aggregate. Same with bottom 8. 37 game league and pretty much guaranteed 3 old firm games . If it's a draw on aggregate after 2nd game then away goals or a penalty shoot out to decide. Adds some interest to first 2 games also

11 Apr 2018 22:42:19
I personally like the split. I think it keeps it interesting with teams playing the team's around them at the end of the season.

However the Sky argument doesn't hold water for me. They walked away from Scottish football a long time ago. The current deal is absolutely shocking and teams would be better off if it was ripped up, they would sell more tickets with people actually going back to games instead of watching them on the telly. Teams obviously like to "listen to the fans", so if the fans want a 16 then fine but you would still have a split because 30 games is too few.

In terms of old firm games, the other thing we could do is seed the cup competitions like tennis, where seed 1 goes on one side and seed 2 goes on the other side of the draw so that the top two seeds are seperated from each other until the final. This doesn't guarantee an old firm cup final but does increase the odds which TV and sponsors would like.

11 Apr 2018 22:57:05
I think they should increase to 14 teams and split after they’ve played each other twice, then a further 2 games home and away for the top and bottom 7, 38 games total and no one misses out or feels aggrieved regarding fixtures. The Other 3 leagues should merge into 2 as well to give 3 leagues of 14 with 2 up, 2 down and playoffs for a potential 3rd promotion.

11 Apr 2018 23:15:06
Like it Wee Bear👏Makes far more sense than the current format.

12 Apr 2018 11:21:01
@CFBear - you would then have to share gate receipts as 1 team could have 22 home games and another only 15!

12 Apr 2018 14:21:18
Wee Bear, yours is a suggestion I had published in a daily newspaper two years ago. It's the way forward.

11 Apr 2018 17:40:54
I'm not usually one for being cynical although I do find it strange we've been given the top 3 clubs away, two of which back to back to finish the season. Anyone know the last time a club had to finish a season with 2 away games in the top flight? 2007/ 08 I believe and guess what, it was Rangers again.

11 Apr 2018 17:50:22
Don't you find it strange then that you were given the top 4 teams at home in first round of fixtures this season? Remember you'll still only visited three of top five twice when league ends.

11 Apr 2018 20:14:11
To be honest I don’t understand the split fixtures like most people? But Lennon was moaning about coming to Ibrox 3 times and now with them in the mix for 2nd place it’s now the Jambos coming 3 times as they have nothing to play for? #PARANOID!

12 Apr 2018 11:22:35
@jim1972 - as part of tube unwashed you need to deal in facts. It was because Tynecastle was being reconstructed. Don't let your paranoia get in the wasy of the truth.
P.S. you do realise that Celtic have had more home to away game ratio than any other team?

12 Apr 2018 15:38:17
@uj it's fair to say most of what you say is garbage and this is no different. Hearts asked for their first few matches to be played away from home due to reconstruction at tynecastle yes. But that doesn't account for the fact you were given the 4 biggest clubs at home in fixture schedule. It's only the newco fans that mentioned paranoia in this thread previously. 🤔 I was only pointing out to rutherglen bear that cynicism can be seen both ways but you probably haven't evolved enough to notice that. 😴

11 Apr 2018 17:10:15
Have you seen the fixture list. the top three clubs away. if that's not a fix I don't no what is.

11 Apr 2018 18:26:08
Our home record is shocking. I’d take those away fixtures over playing them at home.

11 Apr 2018 16:14:50
Hearts and killie at home in split celtic game 29th april

11 Apr 2018 16:39:27
I see they have sheep last game of the season. I hope we do enough to be at least 4 points ahead of them by this point as if we need them to win to secure 2nd I don’t think it will happen.

11 Apr 2018 19:55:55
I did say that this would be the case last night however this was met with quite a few disagrees however no apologies as yet

11 Apr 2018 12:42:12
With Mccoist suggesting we need 4 big signings to challenge celtic it rasies the question; What players would you like to see brought into ibrox next season.

For me i'd like;
McKenna,
McGinn,
Moult

In addition to making Goss and Murphy permanent deals.

11 Apr 2018 13:26:11
So you have very little ambition for our team, dunfermlineloyal?

11 Apr 2018 17:17:20
mcginn REALLY?

11 Apr 2018 18:20:05
Four big signings and you name those four? Ohh my

11 Apr 2018 21:18:37
He's a realistic fan that knows we need to spend within our means. For that reason I'd go Berra Davis or McArthur Moult and Mcburnie

11 Apr 2018 21:52:27
McGinn is a stick on to end up at that look. Worst keep secret amongst Hibees

12 Apr 2018 11:44:32
big signings

omg - hardly

12 Apr 2018 16:59:10
McGinn would likely cost about 3m which i'd pay for him we need a player like him in our midfield. McKenna another who would likely cost a couple of million. Not sure what kind of pull you guys think we have in terms of money but i'd say we'll probs have around 8-9m similarly to last season.

11 Apr 2018 11:25:36
Any thoughts on Martin jol if we are going Dutch for a new manager.

11 Apr 2018 22:15:56
Would love Guus Hiddink if we could afford him. Getting towards the end of his career so maybe money wouldn’t be everything in terms of a salary?

12 Apr 2018 11:49:55
not a hope in hell

stevie Clarke a stick on
