Out of the following who do you think will START against Thistle in the Cup Game?
Wilson. Declan. Rossiter. Nemane. Pena. Herrera. Hardie.
Thistle gave Celtic a decent game at Fir Park but I do think Caxinha will give at least a couple of these Players a start. Also think that Ailnwick will start in Goals.
In my opinion we will see Declan given his chance and depending on how the game is going we will see Nemane put on at half time. Pena will either start or be given the 2nd half too, Caxinha may want to be extra cautious and give our usual starters a place on the bench just to be safe.
With Roberts back at the Piggery the new lad Declan may be a better option as I've heard the Player is fast but its a gamble, the occasion is a lot to take in but he has played in front of big crowds. For me I like the idea of Pena playing between the Midfield and Morelos up front especially against the likes of the Unwashed!
I would usually prefer a 4-1-4-1 system BUT playing a 4-4-1-1 at Ibrox meaning Pena could drop deeper to assist the Midfield which I think will be needed at times! but we would still have an attacking threat and after watching Pena he does make some great runs into the box.

10 Sep 2017 22:02:38
Firhill even Andy😂

11 Sep 2017 00:10:02
Why is the game @ Fir park?

11 Sep 2017 00:12:29
I can't see there being much rotation, with the team similar to the line up against Dunfermline?
I think we need to keep the momentum going to build up the confidence before the Celtic game.

11 Sep 2017 00:14:28
It's the quarter final of the cup we should be going with as strong a starting line up as possible!

11 Sep 2017 03:21:45
There will be very few changes, maybe a maximum of two (Pena and Herrera in? ) as it should be. Pedro has to keep playing his best available eleven at least until after the mhankies game and maybe for a while after it too. Chopping and changing at this vital stage in building momentum is suicide.

11 Sep 2017 06:49:21
Got to agree Bigsam, i could see the point if we had big Euro games during the week that are played with a higher intensity but we've not so the players should b able to handle it.2/ 3 players at best should get a chance (pena/ herrera/ rossiter)

11 Sep 2017 11:28:07
Reckon might change goalkeepers and possibly bring windass back in for niko but keep the same 11.

11 Sep 2017 13:04:05
considering that the cups may be our only hope of silverware i hope he doesn't put out a weak/ weaker team as we do need a good cup win to start things rolling again.
i think the alnwick will get the nod though as he does deserve to be playing.

12 Sep 2017 15:06:05
Why does Alnwick deserve to be playing?

10 Sep 2017 18:46:27
Candeias, best winger in a Rangers shirt since who? Just putting it out there. He's had a great start!

10 Sep 2017 19:04:14
I'm all for being confident pappy but slow down a little there sir.

Early days.

10 Sep 2017 19:57:57
I agree but we've not been blessed with much talent this past wee while. Just curious

10 Sep 2017 20:56:59
The guy had a really good full ninety minutes and didn't shirk out of challenges. So for me he could be an improvement over McKay.

10 Sep 2017 22:39:16
Just a pity Barrie McKay didn't show the same fight and commitment as Candias has shown.

Similar height and build. Just hoes to show what a bit of passion and desire can add to a players game.

11 Sep 2017 00:08:50
Since barrie mckay mate, who imo should never have been sold! Especially not for 500k! Trust me that will prove to be an absolute steal, for notts forest! Barrie mckay has absolutely everything in his locker, to play at a very high level and a much bigger club than forest! Even brendan rodgers said he rated barrie mckay very highly and was stunned when rangers sold him!

11 Sep 2017 03:33:11
Candeias is more direct, more accomplished, more experienced and 100% less feart than McKay, who is a wee sand dancer and will not come back to haunt us. He's already heading for middle-England obscurity. McKay gave us five performances last season, out of about 40. A dud.

11 Sep 2017 06:54:02
Mckay flattered to decieve for me, i agree and disagree with what u both say. he has got a lot in the locker but just keeps the locker locked and i wouldn't say he's a dud but definitely not consistent enuf. P. S, Supercoop don't fall in to the same trap the media have mate ("even Brendan said") crap

11 Sep 2017 09:23:49
There was no doubting his ability however his attitude was all wrong and some of his displays were awful. It was clear he wanted to leave and really left us no choice but to get rid of him. £500k was however far too cheap

11 Sep 2017 11:33:02
Candeias does not have the skill of McKay but makes up for it with some dig and determination. I think he could be a great player. Re Barrie McKay - I think we have missed a trick with him. Would have been a brilliant number 10 with his ability to land the ball on a sixpence. Ah well, too late now. Wish him well though unlike a lot on here.

11 Sep 2017 12:21:08
Makay could maybe have went on to good things at Rangers but not as a winger, maybe a No10. A good winger needs to relish a strong tackle, get up and go again. Committing defenders 100% of the time you have the ball and getting by them as many times as you can. Plus track back. That wasnt his game.

10 Sep 2017 13:27:07
Just bumped into Jordan rossiter in the parkheed forge of all places. Ma boy got a photo wi him. Hopefully back in the team soon.

10 Sep 2017 17:18:58
Excellent use of the disagree button guys 😲

10 Sep 2017 19:50:19
You know what's coming your way now only a game lol

10 Sep 2017 20:57:45
I had a giggle at the non believers to my comment.

Its all good fun 😁

10 Sep 2017 21:09:19
I believe u mate because i seen him aswell in Inshops buying a PSG tracky and a new pair of shinnys

10 Sep 2017 12:53:07
Whatever happened of the good old days of supporting Rangers at all costs.
Fed up hearing about the manager, his signings, how he should play blah blah blah.
Not a word was spoken when Walter, Eck or Le Guen signed PROVEN international players that were rubbish for us! Letizi, Cribari, Webster, Prodan, Ostenstad, Sebo to name a few!
But because we haven't heard of some of the new signings some folk label them!
I would support a 3 legged donkey if he was picked to play for Rangers, ordinary guys like me can only dream of pulling on the jersey!
I feel some folk have forgotten that feeling and only want to moan!

10 Sep 2017 13:10:01
I agree with supporting the team 87henderson but to say we didny moan when Eck, Walter, PLG brought in duds is nonsense as i can remember Rangers players and managers of all calibres/ nationality getting pelters over the urs. God i can remember even fans wanting rid of Walter were i sit during both his stints. absolute bonkers!

10 Sep 2017 13:15:35
It's the nature of a fan to be critical when criticism is due and you want the best for your team. To support a 3 legged donkey in a blue shirt means you support letting the other 10 players down and blindly accepting the manager's decision to play it in the first place. Most posts do give credit where it's due.

10 Sep 2017 14:26:43
Forgetting back in those days sites like this probably didn't exist

10 Sep 2017 14:27:15
87henderson, the vast majority of people I know support the manager, team and board but that doesn't mean they should be above criticism.

Pedro has said some crazy things and I understand why some of the players he has signed being questioned. Fans have a right to voice their opinions. After Europe and first 2 home games fans had some serious concerns. Fair play to Pedro and the team as they look better with every game.

However, everyone was given a great reception yesterday.

10 Sep 2017 17:49:19
Ger88 u make a good point about back then sites like this weren't really on the go so probably wasn't aware of the critics at the time!
I absolutely agree with everyone having the right to an opinion but it jus seems no matter what some folk only want to be negative! Frankly it bores me. I know sometimes we have been well beaten and as tough as it is, the answer isn't to sack the manager like some people shout

11 Sep 2017 13:12:16
i would love all rangers fans to be positive but know that's not going to happen i remember couple of old guys shouting for albertz to be sacked! i don't understand some of my fellow fans i really don't especially when it comes to pedro.
first of all he would cost a lot to get rid of!
secondly we would need money for a new manager!
money for a new team!
then the fans that say the want to get rid of peedro say that they are the ones being realitic!
lmfao are u seriously going to tell me that all those things u want to happen are realistic!
naw guys u are negative nelly's and that's all u are

10 Sep 2017 10:40:56
Watched the game yesterday, great result. Thought it was going to be like Ross County as Dundee had a go second half and almost scored, caught Rangers out a bit till they got the them buy the scruff of the neck shows they learned from last week. Manager took Nico and KM off at the perfect time. Great to see Pena score, hope he just gets better and better. Fredo - what a find, if he scores 25 and makes the Columbia squad for Russia what value would you put on him. Other Results were good also at the weekend. Will watch sportscene today and see if there bitterness has softened, probably not, disappointed in Steven Thompson.

11 Sep 2017 00:03:29
@TJBB - that's another 1 million Dembele Dollars on the Buffalos transfer value!

10 Sep 2017 10:24:19
Anyone know of a good link to see yesterdays highlights seen one on YouTube but very bad quality and only 2 mins long.

10 Sep 2017 18:31:33
What's rong with watching sportscene at 6pm and repeated again at 11ish

11 Sep 2017 08:11:47
deano i live in ireland and can't get sportscene online comes up not avaiable in my area have to rely on youtube or similar i ddid get to see niko's spin that was amazing but would have loved to seen more

10 Sep 2017 09:03:37
I was at the game yesterday. While it was nice to win and score 4 goals It was clear to me that miller and kranjar aren't the answer. A few times the ball was played up to kenny and the defender burnt him for pace and kranjar is a liabilty he's slow at getting back like he's pulling a tractor and dives into challenges. Quite rightly he was subbed 2nd half along with miller its time to let windass and pena have a run in the team. Both scored when they came on and looked lively.

10 Sep 2017 10:05:01
afraid i have to agree chris

miller has been absl fantastic for rangers down the years led the line scored over 100 goals won titles and cups for us but his greatest assets pace and finishing are on the decline

as for nikko his ability is unquestioned and can pick a pass brilliantly but he's just not quick enough about the park and gets caught in possession or gives ball away too often which is a luxury we can't afford come the big games vs them or away at pittodrie

i wld luv us to go get moult i reckon he and morelos wld cause havoc - both young aggressive strikers who shoot on sight - we must try to sign him in Jan

just my opinion but watching dorrans for years i don't think he's best suited or we get most out of him
cntr mid i'd push him further fwd and maybe try rossiter with jack cntr mid wld give us more protection in front of back 4

10 Sep 2017 10:15:11
Agree Trev esp against them i think its got to b a midfield 5 of Windass, Rossiter, Jack, candeias and Dorrans supporting El Buffalo and the defence picks itself

10 Sep 2017 20:47:54
SG34, mostly I agree. That midfield has width, some strength, experience, a wee bit of guile and two or three capable of joining in with El Buffalo. However, I feel that Rossiter will be overlooked for Miller as Pedro will go for Old Firm experience.

10 Sep 2017 21:11:42
You're prob right bigsam nut i think that will b a mistake. that's just the 11 i'd go with but i fear Pedro will go with what u said

10 Sep 2017 08:57:49
A few facts to destroy their myth about Rangers getting preferential treatment. Here it is, prepared to be shocked:

Since 1890 to 2002 in all Scottish tournaments; red cards for Celtic 575, for the Rangers 622.

Yellow cards; Celtic 1522, Rangers 1777.

Penalties for Celtic 1027, for Rangers 895. Penalties against Celtic 328, against Rangers 459.

These are facts from the S.F.A. records. i think it should be the Gers that should be paranoid.

11 Sep 2017 00:09:55
The fact that they are SFA records will probably mean they are discredited by our Celtic supporting chums. An independent Celtic leaning forensic accountant may be hired to verify the numbers.

10 Sep 2017 08:46:42
Just read Sutton's comments. I'll stop short at praising the man but fair play to what he is saying. Pedro is his own man and deserves immense credit for coming to another country; buying into the club's tradition, standing by his own beliefs, dealing with the negativity certain factions of our fans being all the while doing this in a language that isn't his mother tongue. I have the upmost respect for the man.

10 Sep 2017 09:11:47
Good post and well said. I'd like to hit the agree button 10 times for that one.

10 Sep 2017 08:44:03
Every single fan should get 100% behind Rangers, hadn't been sent off against Hibs then I think there would have been a decent chance we would have won that game. On another day, we could easily have beaten Hearts but just couldn't score on the day.

I know its all if's and but's and the margins are fine but we could easily have been sitting with 12 points out of 12 and everyone would be saying we are great. Caixinha has done what Warburton did not, and organised a defence that does not leak goals like last season.

We now have a proper holding midfielder which last season we did not. Morelos looks a superb find up front and last season we did not have a goalscorer like this. Caixinha has only been here since March, inherited lots of underachieving players and in a short space of time has started to put his mark on the team.

I honestly feel we are going forward again as a club but we need a little bit of time to achieve this. So let's all get 100% behind the team and get Rangers back to the top of Scottish football again. It will happen.

10 Sep 2017 09:12:57
Again, see above. Well said.
