As we are led to believe Craig mather is allowing ally mccoist to sign 1 centre half so mccoist has a very difficult choice to make between either boris pandza or marius zaliukas, my own personal choice would be zaliukas, what do all other gers fans think? let's get every rangers supporter involved here and give us their take on the debate, pandza v zaliukas, who would be your choice & why?BIG RAM!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would rather we sign pandza as he would have a better sell on value but the question has to be if either of these players are that good then why have they not signed for another club?

Agree0 Disagree0

Definately pandza for me m8. could be a gem and will have a sell on value. we're going to be a selling club from now on

Agree0 Disagree0

I would hope if it was a choice Mcoist would opt for pandza although I confess in not knowing much about him as a player he has been getting some good comments and he is up and coming prospect, obviously watching Zaliukas over the years I am aware that he is a good player and if he was preferred by Ally then my only concern would be injury. I'm not sure if we will get any of them though and it still may be someone completely different that is signed. Oh, it's all too much.

Big Ram, I am beginning to think you are at the wind up me old son, " let's get every rangers fan involved"? every post ends the same way m8,
tommyblue

Agree0 Disagree0

Zaliukas has played over 200 games in the former SPL and has been a reliable and consistent performer. Currently he is training with Rangers and apparently doing well.
Pandza is a Bosnian Internationalist but nobody knows a great deal about the player but was he not recommend by Sasa Papac.
Is not an easy one to call Zaliukas or Pandza?

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont think any of us punters can make this judgement simply because we do not know enough about Pandaza, but got to be said it is doubtful if Zalukas would have any sell on value. However as far as I am concerned I do not think we should sign either in current circumstances.

Agree0 Disagree0

When will you all realise you don't need anyone just now. Concentrate on getting the boardroom problems sorted. Keep whatever money that you have for the future.

Ally is like my daughter when I take her to the shops I want that, can I have that. He won't be happy until the money is all gone.

Just because you are given a budget it doesn't mean that you have to spend it all.

Ian

Agree0 Disagree0

Currently we have Moshni and McCulloch to fill the centre back. positions.
If we were to sign Zaliukas, or Pandza would Ally play McCulloch in midfield.
Do we not have enough cover at the moment?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pandza, Bosnian international, 14 caps, NO CLUB? Has played 149 club matches in a 9 season career? Q2 answers Q1 I think. no sell on value from last club was there? What connection does papac have to the players agent?
I was also first on here to say don't sign Fauré.

Speaking to woman I work beside she says lafferty's wife has just bought a house in paisley 3 doors up from her - must not be working well in italy - never be back in blue!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jelavic made him look a player.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is his wife not from Johnstone?

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Sep 2013 03:32:54
@2 what exactly does that mean?

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnstone i. e. next to Paisley - think the point is that he may have bought this for him and the missus to stay in. he'll have other pads given the amount of money the donkey has made. She's from Kilbarchan or Houston but same thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Post 1?? jelivic made him look good are u on the Bucky m8

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 are you trying to tell me jelavic wasnt on fire when he played alongside lafferty at rangers? Jelavic carried rangers to a title for 3 in a row.

With all the Boardroom upheaval and the current Jim Spence/BBC row, it seems some have taken their eye off what is important, "The Team". So I think it now falls to me to rectify this, "My team, Rangers are the best team in the world", "we have the best support in the world", "we have the biggest and better history than anyone else in the world", "we are now playing better football than anyone else in the world", "we have better strips than anyone else in the world", "we have better grass than anyone else in the world", "we use better chalk than anyone else in the world", "we eat more pie's than anyone else in the world", "we tell better jokes than anyone else in the world", "we have bigger smiles than anyone else in the world", "we have better Banter than anyone else in the world".
Anyone who disagrees " COME AHEAD " " The banter is waiting.

DON'T KNOW WHAT ALL THE FUSS IS ABOUT?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

@ op words of a true knuckle dragger who's also a keyboard gangster so you bring on the banter

Agree0 Disagree0

Might be an idea to lay off that "better grass" for a while.

Paddy Malarkey

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddy I travelled to Amsterdam and couldn't find Grass like that lol it must be glue.

Larky Bear

Agree0 Disagree0

Op keep it up media matt (crozier) is lying in wait for you LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

Paddy and Co (sounds like a company Celtic would use to hoover the trophy room). SORRY, couldn't resist that.
I'm a "knuckle dragger", "I'm a "gangster", I'm on the "better grass".
But I think I must also be correct as there is nothing in these posts to say or prove otherwise (although to be fair it would be hard to disprove an opinion). You see to ME those statements are true, when you support a team (any team) they become just that "THE BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD" and why shouldn't they, My childhood was wrapped in my team, my memories are consumed with them, the great wins, the great players, the excitement of Ibrox. History is what you remember, what you see and what you read, If I believe Rangers are still "MY TEAM" and will continue to ad to my memories then what harm is there in that (why try and destroy someone's memories for nothing more than spite), Rangers, "MY RANGERS" are doing me proud and I hope that one day you will have this feeling about your club's, then, and only then will you truly understand,
"IT'S ALIVE" "IT'S ALIVE I TELL YOU" "IT'S COMING TO GET YOU" "YOU CAN RUN, BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE" "NO-ONE CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM IN SPACE" "SHAKEN, NOT STIRRED" "ET PHONE HOME" "OUCH".!!?

Agree0 Disagree0

Larky Bear, the only glue I require is the "bond" with my team (it's the strongest glue in the world).
"NO, NOT AGAIN" "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE" "SHUT UP, I'M STILL TALKING" "THE VOICES, THOSE GODDAM VOICES" "MAKE THEM GO AWAY MUMMY" "CONSIDERING THIS IS A 45 MAGNUM ICE CREAM, YOU'VE GOT TO ASK YOURSELF, DO YOU FEEL LUCKY" "WELL DO YOU PUNK" "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO".

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Chaps, got a bit carried away on the "banter", you know how it is, never even introduced myself properly first, how rude.
It's all mind over matter, if you don't mind, then it doesn't matter. got to make the honest folk smile, bring on Arbroath on Saturday "I FEEL LUCKY".

Agree0 Disagree0

Holy macaroni - wtf - Is this George's wee brother - chat and CAPITALS. Love the passion though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Chillax Daddy'O, Passion is my middle name (well actually it's not but it would be great if it was, I'm now thinking of the times I introduced myself to the lady's as I was growing up). Just trying to have some light hearted banter, sometimes it works, sometimes it don't, but it's never meant to offend, upset or/and be annoying (probably failed on that one), so to clarify please read the exclaimer below.

Would just like to say on the zaliukas
thing. john hartson. remember we
had him at Ibrox/murray park and
didn't sign him because of a "knee
injury" and the rest is history as they
say. zaliukas get him signed

10 Sep 2013 11:31:35
Sorry billy, are you saying because we didn't sign hartson we should sign zaliukas,? That m8 is nonsense, unlike you to post something as wrong as that, should we then sign anyone else who turns up with a serious longstanding injury? because that is what hartson had m8 do u think for a minute he would have came to scotland if anyone in the english prem wanted to take that chance?, sorry billy ure so wrong here, particularly as you don't know the extent of his injury
Tommyblue

Get your point tommyblue but just
saying if its not that bad take a chance
mate as they did with hartson and it
came back to haunt us

10 Sep 2013 13:27:48
@2 Not a comparable situation. didn't sign hartson, he went to celtic and that worked against us. We don't sign zaliukas, then what, how will that come back to haunt us? You think he might sign for another league one team? Sorry but you're living in the past and talking like Ally.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hartson was different tommyglue, and when he left the spl were did he go yeah the EPL,. ,. kbarry

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 so in your opinion as long
as he doesn't sign for celtic it
won't come back to haunt us.
Besides that wasn't my point
all I was saying is if the injury
isn't to bad maybe we should
take a chance and as other
poster pointed out we took
a chance with danial proden
and that didn't work

10 Sep 2013 17:55:09
@6 how will it come back to haunt us? Just asking for a description of any scenario you have in mind that could ever cause any haunting in relation to not signing zaliukas. Mind boggling here.

Agree0 Disagree0

I said could come back to haunt
us I. E we don't sign him he signs
for another team say falkirk for
example we draw them in a cup
q/f or semi-final and he scores
winning goal. you can hear it
now ' how did we not sign him"
billy h

Agree0 Disagree0

Im surprised kbarry managed to clear the foam from his mouth to write a post on here. Twice has he admitted that he HATES us on their page today. Pathetic for a man in his 30s

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Sep 2013 22:40:32
@8 that's just life isn't it? Problem as I said before is you're living in the past when we could afford to buy good players that emerged at other clubs just to stop them having them. We can't have a signing policy like that now, so we now get to experience what fans of other clubs experience - the "one that got away" lining up against us in another team. Wow wee get used to it. I think we can recover from any such minor emarassment quite easily - there's not really the same stakes with falkirk etc as there was with celtic & hartson is there?

Agree0 Disagree0

11 Sep 2013 03:48:01
@5, try and understand, he went to the EPL after he had been in scotland about 5 yrs, they didn't want to know him at the time, now get someone to enliven you,

What is Banter?

It would seem that whenever I post a comment on this site there are certain types condemning them.

I for one would never condescend to take the horse to the water, however, have a look at the Urban Dictionary definition of the word banter >

Supple term used to describe activities or chat that is playful, intelligent and original. Banter is something you either posses or lack, there is no middle ground. It is also something inherently English, stemming as it does from traditional hi-jinks and tomfoolery of British yesteryear.

Think it was LarkyBear who posted recently that he would never take as a given whatever is posted on here - anyone got a sledgehammer!

It is apparent that whenever I call the troops to rally and get behind Ally, his team, and The Famous Glasgow Rangers all the dissenters and darksiders come on - I really cannot help but think of them sitting at their PC, unshaven, lighting matches with their hoodies on hating those who have a successful career and a wife to match with all the trappings that come with it.

On a particular cogent theme, it would appear that the 'Extraordinary' EGM looks as if it is going ahead. This is very good news as it would seem that Mr McColl and his group have enough share power to force this through.

I commend them for not accepting the carrot and the addendum that came with it. It is most important that Mr McColl stands by his agenda and does not give sway to any watered down commitments by the current board.

I AM RANGERS!

Matt Crozier

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Matt. Your trying too hard, maybe you should read tour own definition

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you got me wrong MC Hammer what a wonderful way with words you have. I believe I was trying to say if everyone believed everything that was wrote on here they need there heads checked likes many do.
I have an open mind and make decisions for myself. I do not however come on here constantly trying a show of superiority be it with a Gers Fan or Tim. Your "Banter" is certainly original & intelligent maybe too intelligent for the average reader but it is also bloody boring.

I AM LARKY BEAR, I HAIL FROM LARKHALL,
I SUPPORT GLASGOW RANGERS, I AM ONE VERY SMALL PEICE OF THE PUZZLE, I AM NOT THE DEFINITION OF RANGERS NOR DO I SPEAK FOR RANGERS. I AM ONLY HERE FOR THE BANTER stuff these capitals I'm sounding like George but Matt you need to take it easy man your "banter" is like trying to sit through an episode of Frasier or worse yet Downton Abbey.

I AM SH*TEY TELEVISION.

Matt you have avery high opinion of yourself, it sits well with your 5th year school magazine writing style. It's easy to think you're so clever when you're too young to know better so we can forgive you whilst we yawn. Suppose you must be at least 16 if your inference that you have a wife is to be believed. What's she called, Sally by any chance?

Agree0 Disagree0

Matt urban dictionary? I think you are reading too many comic books and watching far too much cartoon network.
Don't worry you might get that part in the school play that your after

Always get the impression Matt isn't actually a Rangers fan. Maybe employed by a PR department to distract from what is really important for Rangers at this vital time in our history.

How ironic, trying to slag off others for being so serious when you are so riled by other posts that you actually scurry off to check some dictionary definition of "banter" to try to "prove" some inane point. "Methinks" (as you are won't to say) you are the one taking yourself too seriously. How many dictionaries did you have to consult before you found a definition that suited you anyway? For your next little project try looking up "irony". And "tw#t" while you're at it.

@5 are you for real, employed by pr department listen m8 I love coming on here to indulge in banter you get a laugh from some crazy mothers, some think I am crazy they tell me often enough, but come on it is the same people who are on here all the time, do you think the pr mob are trying 2 get 2 the masses through matt because if you do you are the craziest mother of all, now matt may be articulate with his posts & think he knows more than most with his views but he seems 2 me that he wants what's best for RANGERS & that is not a crime in my book last week he asked anybody if they knew of any kids that wanted 2 play for RANGERS boys club & told them where they played trained & times now that sounds like a genuine fan 2 me, so keep on annoying every1 with your posts matt you crazy mother

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely banter is simply a wee bit good natured flexing of wit between folk? Just a bit of cheeky one-upmanship for a laugh?
I've never read anything good natured in your posts Master Crozier and I've yet to see any of your posts evoking anything other than irritation from others. Maybe it is your age and you're getting banter and trolling confused?
There is nothing in your posts that constitutes wit other than constant fu*kwitery on your behalf.
Please don't feel you need to respond, I've had a long day working with challenging kids and cannae be ar53d dealing with another one.

Do you have a son Fernando?lol
I bet you supported Green last year with his Christmas message and pointing at "them" while crowds gathered to buy tickets. Did you que and accept his cups of tea that day? Did you Matt support and cheer his every word as he played honest decent fans for fools as they craved a saviour who stood up against the so called haters?
You have tried playing the no one likes us card (as did Charles green)

Sorry Mat, only having some banter, at least I think I am, you couldn't check for me could you?.

Larky bear wrote "I AM ONE VERY SMALL PEICE OF THE PUZZLE".

Yes definitely a sudoko, Thanks Lanky bear, what puzzle are you?.

Congratulations to the Celtic family for the wonderful day they gave to Stan Petrov and his family! We would have done the same for one of our own! I remember when Alan Stubbs was diagnosed with testicular cancer - a banner was unfurled at Ibrox, when Celtic came calling, wishing him all the best! We are after all human so, all the best to Stan and his family and indeed anyone else who is affected by this! EG.

I have got to say, having heard Stan Petrov on radio a couple of times, he comes across like a really decent fella. A family man who hasn't let things go to his head and who helps others without fuss. And a fine player, Blast! Humility, a rare thing in today's footballers. A real credit to his wee Maw.
