Does anyone know what it was that Roofe done with his fingers when he scored on Sunday I've watched the replay a few times but can't really make it out at first I thought it might have been?

10 Nov 2020 17:57:50
It’s the letters of his kids A and L.

10 Nov 2020 18:59:59
Cheers mate I knew he done the A sign in the standard liege game but thought he was doing something towards the cameras regarding Rangers?

10 Nov 2020 19:15:38
Naw he was accused of A for anderlecht and that’s what caused the riot after game with players and staff. He’s done it through career A and L for kids. Does it after every goal.

10 Nov 2020 19:16:32
Not against anderlecht sorry about anderlecht.

10 Nov 2020 19:23:16
They thought on the standard liege game that when roofe scored that wonder goal in done the A L sign in his celebration, some of their players assumed that the A was for their rivals anderlecht, who obviously roofe played for, before signing for us.

10 Nov 2020 19:45:21
Yeah Coop, I think Roofe was having a go at the opposition’s fans in Belgium as he was getting a bit of abuse. The Standard players reaction said it all! Although the crowd were giving him peter the children’s names didn’t wash with me🤭😭🤪🇬🇧.

10 Nov 2020 20:22:21
Leeds fan I know sent pics, he was saying MOT apparently.

10 Nov 2020 20:33:42
Always celebrated that way.

10 Nov 2020 21:08:04
What’s MOT mean glasgowrangers92.

10 Nov 2020 21:17:51
Personally I couldn't give a castlemaine xxxx what he was signing, , if I spent my time trying to figure out what players do when they celebrate I would be wasting precious time, , maybe it was the sash in Arabic, for all I care, although I seem to remember seeing an M, maybe he meant " look at Me.

11 Nov 2020 00:17:47
Its definately an A and an L, alarnie and Luna I'm sure his daughters are called.

11 Nov 2020 06:09:24
I'm sure he made an M at one point.

11 Nov 2020 12:21:23
Tbf I thought he did 3 letters at the weekend and it looked a bit awkward the 1st letter so maybe he done something different maybe his wife’s name?

11 Nov 2020 12:58:40
Re roofe the lad says it’s his daughter’s initials, yately and others says he’s havining go at anderlect fans because it’s an A and L.
He says it’s tribute to his daughters, I know who I believe, others r effectively calling roofe a liar.

11 Nov 2020 17:03:42
You can go back and watch goals at Leeds where he does the same celebration its definately his kids initials. Had ti google it but their names are definitely alarnie and Luna.

10 Nov 2020 17:45:23
Danny Drinkwater at Chelsea on £110k a week! Unbelievable ✌️.

10 Nov 2020 21:18:24
two bob, I spend more in the bookies.

10 Nov 2020 17:43:44
With the transfer window not too far away I’m really hoping players don’t get unsettled if there are rumours of interest. Southampton scouts watching the Hamilton game is only one that we know of so far, but with how well we are playing I’m sure there will be a reasonable amount of interest in a number of our top performers. Fingers crossed Gerrard has it will tell players to stay grounded and focus on the task in hand of securing 55 and Champ league football next season and convince everyone to stay put. After all there is a serious chances for everyone to become written into our history books in a league win that’s been well overdue!

10 Nov 2020 18:13:08
Kamara has to be at least 10milliin in today's market. Kent 20.personally I don't think one member of our current squad wants to leave. except. Stewart is just getting a wage, as is Jones. We spent a million on edmunson and he might be one for the future or punted. We don't really need them. katic will be back soon and bassey can fill in as CB. We'll sign up balogun on a deal. With Tav, patterson, gold and borna, we have a decent number of defenders. No matter what, we need to keep focus. One day closer. 55.

10 Nov 2020 18:31:26
Rossco imo kent worth about 12. at the moment he's far to inconsistant for 20mill imo. Had an inreal start to season. Then like an empty shirt for 4 or 5 games.

10 Nov 2020 18:41:20
Correct Paul👍.

10 Nov 2020 18:56:58
Yeah I don’t see how Kent is worth more than kamara or barasic. For me Kent is only worth £20m cause he’s English and helps the homegrown quota they need in Europe and maybe league? We kb’d £14m from Leeds and he’ll get a new improved deal so he’s worth upwards of that. Potentially £20m but not worth more than kamara.

10 Nov 2020 18:57:37
Yep we would easily make our money back on but imo nowhere near a 20m player. 10 to 12 fair atm but the potential is there to kick on n makes us huge money in the 20m bracket if he can level performsnces.

10 Nov 2020 19:00:40
Kent nae chance of 12mil.

10 Nov 2020 19:18:03
What u mean dsgers? As I’m not worth £12m? We just kb’d Leeds for 12?

10 Nov 2020 19:23:45
Kents a 20m pound player easily for me in todays market. We would definitely look to be more than doubling our spend on him.

10 Nov 2020 19:26:47
When we do eventually sell ryan kent, it will be for a helluva lot more than £12million. His age and potential makes kent's transfer value, higher than both barasic and kamara, ingerrardwetrust!

10 Nov 2020 20:01:20
Kent is what 23/ 24? Kamara is 24 also? I don’t think Kent has yet but the height I expected or most fans did and I think he needs to really up his game if he’s to be a £20m player. I think we’ll get it for him but I also don’t think he’s as good as some fans make out. Why is he worth more than kamara coops? Same age so sell on value etc is there kamara wan international and regularly gets money for his nation.

10 Nov 2020 20:02:58
See what I’m seeing here is players being judged on what we spent on them instead of there quality and value to the team. That’s not how players are judged. Kamara tav barasic all are above Kent for me in value to team and valuation.

10 Nov 2020 20:26:10
Kent (and maybe Kamara? ) Would count as home grown players in England due to three years at a team before 21, which is a right baw ache when submitting squads. Means their fee would be a premium and should add a few mill on easy.

10 Nov 2020 20:28:11
Ingerrard there is no way an English club will pay more for tav than kent.
Let’s be happy we have two players producing.

10 Nov 2020 20:32:40
I agree with you IGWT tho kent has the potential to be 20million he ain’t there yet.

Kamara is outstanding.

10 Nov 2020 20:53:51
If biscuit hips tierney is worth 25mil Kent is without a doubt worth 20.

10 Nov 2020 21:11:28
John25 I know they won’t mate but I don’t see it. Tavs a class right back. Kent needs to up his game kamara better than both and barasic aswell. Jack and aribo not far behind. I still say tavs worth £15m and yeah we’d prob get £20m for Kent but is he really worth that yet? It’s weird how transfers are made up. Some players better than others but not worth as much it’s f*** up.

10 Nov 2020 21:13:10
Kent can only dream of tavs numbers at rangers might I add 👍.

10 Nov 2020 22:01:03
Very true ingerr.

11 Nov 2020 04:57:58
Kent involved in a lot of our goals, another assist at the weekend and involvements in other build ups, work rate and movement/ tracking back etc is a nightmare for opposition regardless of him getting the ball and going past players.

11 Nov 2020 09:54:41
Kamara is outstanding however he is a player that at the end of last season most fand would have taken a few million for. Once kamara finishes a full season playing well we will have a player on our hands worth a lot of money.

Kent has been the catalyst for our teams good play for 3 seasons now with his only true blip being the second half of last season when the rest of the team were also poor.

Kent streets ahead of kamara imo. The difference in prices may be that the club will be happy to move kamara on when a large free comes as he's probably replacable. Could we replace ryan kent at the moment? I don't think so.

11 Nov 2020 12:25:59
We prob can’t afford to replace like for like any player in the squad Dunfermline were now going to copy the model of Celtic in a way by bringing in potential train them up sell for a profit and also bring in loan players other clubs don’t want if that do well we buy them sell them on and do it again. Well prob have a long running link up with Liverpool on this as they’re u23 players could come up here do a job play in Europe add value and be moved on for £££ it’s a win win.

10 Nov 2020 17:37:21
I've said from day one that the lack of fans was a serious leveller and that ibrox is a cauldron for some players who simply Cannot cope with the Rangers fans on top of them every game, of thT there's no doubt Rangers have coped best with empty stadia because the players are playing at their normal level, not petrified of Rangers fans screaming abuse, ie Kent, Tav, etc anyone who thinks no fans doesn't make a difference doesn't know what they're talking about, i played with biys who couldn't stand playing at places with large crowds, and others who were Literally buzzing to be playin front of even a few thousand, its normal for some to flourish, and others to fade into obscurity because of fans, its a Natural thing they can't help, i said it weeks ago, no fans is great for us, its that simple.

10 Nov 2020 18:44:01
So going by your theory, we'll win the league because there is no fans and then lose it every other year when fans are allowed back in? 😂
Aye no bother😩.

10 Nov 2020 18:53:03
Jeez Tom, finally we agree on something!

Big question are fans happy to stay positive and encourage the players or are they more concerned with venting their frustrations and unhappiness at a player who has a poor game?

Potentially this is a win or lose the league dilemma if the fans are allowed in.

Win the league with players who find it tough having the crowd on their back or lose it because the fans put pressure on?

10 Nov 2020 18:58:53
I think tha lack of fans has gave them back there confidence and form and belief so that when the fans are back they know what they’re capable of and also so do we know what they can do and so lay off them and support them. It’s been a great learning curve for all and worked in our benefit going forward.

10 Nov 2020 22:11:20
its good you finally agree, because I put this up at start of season, bluebaw above doesn't understand it, bless him, but football people will of course get it, but there's a wee bit more to it than that, i have had more than few conversations with bomber brown over the years, and childhood friends of mine like Robert fleck and indeed mcAvennie, , they agree that Ibrox is a far more intimidating place than celtic Park, or hampden for that matter, and that's not a new thing, its been like that since they built the stands, I remember being in the old derry and the celtic end at Europe or cup ties and you were quite far from the ayers, nowadays you can talk to the wingers and full backs, and that closeness unsettles some players very much indeed for bluebawz benefit il give you 2 very classic examples, Webster and the big Dutch keeper from Aberdeen both utterly outstanding in they're previous places of employment, both couldn't even move when they came out the tunnel others like them have been physically sick in the tunnel and some actually so scared they were removed from the team by walter before they left the dressing room,

11 Nov 2020 00:22:30
Bluebaws, you do understand that you need to have the best team in the first place don't you? So in answer to your silly question, yes, if rangers had the best TEAM, and management in the league and empty stadium every year, then I would back Rangers to win every year, that's the simple answer to your snide remark, you should really know that some players thrive dramatically when circumstances around them change, don't you ?

11 Nov 2020 00:29:13
Theo Snelders, international keeper with Holland, played in many big games and Cup finals in Scotland, simply couldn't cope with Ibrox, Webster international defender, played in Cup finals and many big games, taken off the pitch after spewing all over the 18yrd box, never to be seen again,

11 Nov 2020 04:59:40
I sort of agree and have said the fans issue before is helping us, I do however think once these players get that winners mentality and belief it will stay regardless. First trophy is critical for them, that league cup final hit guys hard. Once we jump that hurdle we will be a lot better off.

11 Nov 2020 13:58:17
I agree with Tom here, there is little doubt that the lack of people in the stands has had a positive effect this season, but I also agree that it's something that will need to be addressed. Fans will return at some point, later rather than sooner I would imagine, and the players will have to cope with it.

I play sport at a much lower level and have seen it for myself. My team qualified for a county final, largely be playing at venues with no support present and the team was amazing. Come the final and hundreds of fans, my own team went to pot and lost in serious style! I understand the effect of people watching and how it can affect some players.

10 Nov 2020 16:19:53
I know a lot of us have different valuations on players and different reasons for those valuations. what I think will be interesting though is come the summer, after the euros, when we (potentially) have won the league and have champions league football to look forward to, will players like - kamara, barasic, Morelos, Kent, tav, Goldson, jack, aribo, Hagi. whoever I've left out. will they want to go down south (Morelos, kamara to Spain or France) to play for mid table clubs like villa palace s'hampton wolves maybe even Everton and those type of clubs. Or will they want to stay and play in the biggest club comp in the world in the champs league. When they might never get another chance. ? Borna, kamara, Alfie may get a top club but they may get a mid range club and if so with champ league on offer could we maybe just hold onto these players with an improved contract? It will be great to see the choice these players make given the chance.

10 Nov 2020 16:34:58
Money Talks Players Walks --no matter the club or size the spl is the drawback as its pure rubbish apart from 2 clubs.

10 Nov 2020 16:43:08
difficult to say really . moneywise better off away from scotland
champions league hmm well we can see what's happened over a porkheid over the last few seasons so would they stay? maybe for one season? its a good question. i think they will stay for the champions league tbh . but if we need to sell then they may not have a choice .

10 Nov 2020 16:43:42
Yeah I believe most will because no doubt doubling there wages will come 1st.

10 Nov 2020 16:49:44
I know mate but that’s my point in a way. for 1st time in a long time we have the champions league as a draw, and with that the ability to pay higher wages. The champions league might not be here in a few year, I think it will, some clubs are trying to make this elite euro league so it could be a draw that at least for 1 more season at least gets these players to stay to experience it? Just a thought mate not a statement of belief.

10 Nov 2020 16:53:48
well if u look at ibrox noise on fb there valuations are quite funny.

10 Nov 2020 16:55:01
in gerrard sure winners of league still have to actually qualify for champs league.

10 Nov 2020 17:03:27
Money is everything for most players, and epl is king, I think after this season there will be an exodus, thus players like Ferguson are being lined up,

10 Nov 2020 18:03:48
Yes Paul86 winner would have 1 final qualifier runners up 2 but I would be confident barring a disaster that we make it through given we manage to win the league. And I’m worried about that myself Tom that’s the origin of my question tbh is that we could lose half a team if the right money is offered. But as much as players decide to leave they can also decide to stay. They have a contract.

10 Nov 2020 20:34:40
Remember it’s the champions league qualifiers if we win league or come 2nd we ain’t straight in there.

10 Nov 2020 21:14:39
Is it not final qualifying game if we win it and 2 qualifiers if we’re 2nd I’m sure KJ.

10 Nov 2020 22:16:35
yes mate, but . only a d episode will win most times, can't complain about that, its how the old firm Ct with other clubs, they come they go simple economics.

10 Nov 2020 22:28:53
Yeah IGWT so it’s not the champs league as the group stages for us is the holy grail money wise.

11 Nov 2020 07:40:44
Is it not 2nd qualifying round for second in the league and 3rd round for the winners?

10 Nov 2020 12:40:53
Great to here from posters that there's no winter break. The last two winters seeing us in sunny Dubai with intense training saw us go belly up. Other teams rested let their players relax with family and resumed beating us. Bad game plan.

10 Nov 2020 12:29:25
hi fellow bears anyone else read what stan wallymore has to say about jermaine defoe? deary me! talk about sour grapes!

10 Nov 2020 13:22:01
Briangersfan, collymore is a total plonker of a guy mate.

10 Nov 2020 13:53:55
He's a total Merchant Banker of a muppet.

10 Nov 2020 14:54:28
What did that trumpet have to say? Why does he hate ranger? Does anyone know his problem? Did we know him a deal or something.

10 Nov 2020 16:03:21
thinking the same ingerrardwetrust what did rangers do to him?

10 Nov 2020 16:11:21
hang on a sec? was wallymore not accused of girlfriend beating and accusations of attacking ulrika jonnson while she was in a bar with ally mccoist? why is this bellend given air or media time?

10 Nov 2020 16:17:33
you don't have to do much to stan the man, just put a woman in front of him and he gives them a slap just ask ulrika, a total and utter waste of a human being.

10 Nov 2020 16:19:17
Coz super ally gave him a slap in France 98 and they pumped his bird.

10 Nov 2020 16:20:35
Are you letting this idiot get to you because he said Defoe isn't on the same level as henry, Shearer and Fowler?

10 Nov 2020 16:35:08
He’s a self confessed “Celtic fan” but I have something in the back of my head saying there was an issue or an outburst against Rangers a few years back. Possibly as I’m trying to think was it to do with the anti-catholic type of thing perhaps. I remember we had played and he came out on talksport slaughtering us and our fans I’m sure it’s to do with bigotry.

10 Nov 2020 16:46:00
not at all bmgh01 i thought it was just sour grapes as jermaine is in my opion tice the player he was but it obviously goes a lot deeper than just jermaine .

10 Nov 2020 16:54:10
Defoe isn’t in the same league as shearer or the same stratosphere as Henry, Fowler for me a better player but f**** it, so if that’s what he said he’s correct. However that’s correct Brian she was in a bar with super ally at France 98 I remember that don’t tell me he’s held that against rangers 😂 what a k***head lol plonker. Anyway did ally banh her? Just asking.

10 Nov 2020 16:57:52
lol although i don't like collymore. he's not exactly wrong. Defoe wasnt in same class as henry or shearer. he said he rates him same as harry kane? not really getting the issue with that?

10 Nov 2020 17:45:20
Believe it or not, he was actually a Rangers supporter at one time and there was a story of him singing Rangers tunes on the team bus for whatever team he playing for at the time. It was when he was a young guy, just starting out.
He's a pure roaster now, better known for hitting Ulrika than his footballing legacy!

10 Nov 2020 17:51:04
Ally never slapped him it was a Scottish barman in a Paris bar who stuck the head into him.
Although, Ally probably pumped Ulrika after the event.

10 Nov 2020 19:05:11
Defoes never in Kane’s class either Kane’s in the top couple strikers in the world.

10 Nov 2020 20:39:05
Collymore played for Walsall as he was in the same team as my cousin.

Under 18s team and the game I saw he sub came on and was brutal just goes to show you what can be done tho.
My cousin was captain of the team and would have made but had to stop playing at 19/ 20 because of arthritis.

Manchester City v Liverpool - A Liverpool Perspective

10 Nov 2020 12:10:11
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Manchester City v Liverpool - A Liverpool Perspective

10 Nov 2020 11:31:37
Ingerrardwetrust, this would be my valuations pal. MCGREGOR-£0 (will retire with rangers, MCLAUGHLIN-£1-£2million, TAV-
£12million (best rb in scotland bar none),
PATTERSON-750K-£1million (lots of potential), GOLDSON-£10million, HELANDER-
£5million, BALOGUN-£3million, EDMUNDSON-
£1million (should be sold! ), KATIC-£3million (
still a lot to learn), BARISIC-£15million (
possibly higher after euros), BASSEY-£2-£3million (much more to come), DAVIS-£0
(will retire with rangers, wee gem and absolute thoroughbred), KAMARA-£10-£12million (best 50k we'll ever spend), JACK-
£8million (superb free transfer signing),
ARFIELD-£2-£3million (still a quality midfielder at the wrong side of 30), ARIBO-
£12million (will only get better and better),
HAGI-£8million (short of pace but fantastic football brain, with killer pass), KENT-£20million (he has everything and will only get better and better, terrific team player),
BARKER-£1-£2million, STEWART-400k,
JONES-500k-750k (should never have been signed, has talent but very poor attitude),
ROOFE-£6-£8million (more once he fully settles in and can remain injury free), ITTEN-
£2-£3million (jury still out but has potential),
DEFOE-£0 (will retire with rangers with a striker's coaching role i hope! what a model professional the wee man is and still for me the best/ most natural finisher/ goalscorer at ibrox), MORELOS-£15-£20million (how do we solve a problem like alfredo 🤔. petulant/ indisciplined at times, but a fantastic talent who has the ability to play for a top club, in any of europe's top leagues)
on his game he's unplayable!
GERRARD AND OUR MANAGEMENT TEAM-
£10-£15million (for any club wanting our management team, with the terrific job they've done, especially to what they inherited. GERRARD'S european record is exceptional and he's building something special at rangers! 👌🇬🇧.

10 Nov 2020 12:53:51
The 1st thing I’m saying coops is why is barker worth 1-2m mate aghhhh c’mon mate? lol a just don’t rate the guy maybe am blind to something lol don’t u agree though that too many rangers fans are happy to sell the most valuable assets for peanuts in comparison to Celtic and also to the true market value. Glen kamara goes down south for £12m he’s instantly worth £25m after 1 game. We are robbing ourselves. Borna barasic is one of the top left backs in Europe and £20m for 27 yo modern day full back is with maybe 6 7 years left to give is being called inflated by our own fans? I think it’s madness. The reason I gave McLaughlin a £4 valuation is during his shut out performances an ex Sunderland board member or dof or something came out and said rangers have just signed a £5m goalkeeper for free. If Celtic pay £5m for bark as why can’t we get £4m for McLaughlin? He’s a better keeper and has 7 years left to give. Definetely some fans and pundits under value the players in this country. It shouldn’t matter kamara cost 50grand. He’s the best midfielder in Scotland and if Celtic will get £20-25m for McGregor why can’t we get same for kamara? Because Balogun a free he’s worth a million? Because jacks Scottish he’s worth £4m people are mad honestly. Sell the family silver then complain when u see what it does elsewhere.

10 Nov 2020 12:55:00
think Helander would fetch more than Goldson with his international play as well. think management team will be worth a lot more if we win the league.

10 Nov 2020 13:11:10
It's because balogun I'd 32 we will struggle to get anything, not because we got him on a free.

10 Nov 2020 13:12:31
Coops values far more realistic. Still say nobody pays money for mclaughlin or balogun.

10 Nov 2020 13:29:00
I agree 55 and to be honest doesn’t what we value the players are as they are only worth what someone is willing to pay.

10 Nov 2020 13:35:29
Agree mostly with coops just think 8 million for hagi is pushing it, or mibee I'm just biased cause I don't really rate him, and think 10 for goldson is a bit much.

10 Nov 2020 14:22:39
Buyers market in these circumstances.

10 Nov 2020 14:53:34
400k for what?

10 Nov 2020 14:58:24
Honestly Me2,if as i expect there might be an english club wanting connor goldson, i honestly don't think that £10million for him atm, is at all unrealistic mate! I've always rated big goldson highly and i personally do rate him the best centre half at rangers. I remember the brighton fans saying when we signed big connor, that we stole him for £3million. I think he's a superb all round centre half.

10 Nov 2020 15:04:32
I didn’t know Balogun was 32 HWG, My bad guys and apologies I thought he was 28 don’t know why. Maybe £2m for him then. I’ll take that one back. Still think McLaughlin is worth a few million he’s a crackin keeper. Kja9 I totally agree players are only worth what someone is willing to pay, just look at continuous and greizman and Dembele and godnoes how many other Barcelona players just to pick 1 club. I just think mate, that we are under valuing our players because we’re used to accepting bottom dollar. Our selling market is epl for top players and championship for squad players. So I use those markets as my base for valuation. I think the prices quoted give or take the odd couple million here n there are realistic compared to what epl pays for players from other countries. I think kamara is out golden nugget and we shouldn’t sell him on the cheap just cause we got him on the cheap. Honestly the guy could play for any team in Europe and hold his own. Barcelona city Real Madrid Liverpool. His ball retention close control and off the ball running and pressing, defensive covering. He’s a class act best player in Scotland.

10 Nov 2020 10:48:21
As much as I want the league its far from over.
We need to just keep on doing what we are doing and continue to be ruthless!

Celtic only need to win their two games in hand and there is 3 points in it!

This will go straight to the wire.

10 Nov 2020 11:39:12
True mate we've won heehaw in years due to bein depleated fur years but we shouldn't gloat too sn or well end up embarressed again heres hoping tho.

10 Nov 2020 11:40:00
I was having a look at the fixtures last night and I think that we will be level on points come the split (that’s if we get that far) . It could come down to the last old firm of the season at ibrox who wins the league.

10 Nov 2020 11:45:04
DSGERSFAN

I completely agree with you bud.

10 Nov 2020 12:40:26
Ok Kaz,

However, should we continue our present form after the break and not collapse like in our past seasons then I can see no reason for us not to win the league this time around .

Should they win their games in hand and we keep up our defensive record, it will be a hard battle right to the bitter end in my humble opinion.

10 Nov 2020 12:57:03
true, don't count our chickens. however they have to play us at ibrox, i believe we will be 6 clear points in front after that. 1 being they won't even have played their games in hand by that time.

the big difference this year, is we can bring 5 off the bench and still have a strong team.

10 Nov 2020 17:30:53
Kaz, I've been saying the same for weeks, some people were celebrating the league and indeed treble and the europa league and declaring celtic dead in the water, they will win they're games and everything depends on winning every game, and that's not easy at all for Rangers mainly due to our apparent dislike places like Easter Rd, etc, they don't struggle at these places when they're back on it, which they will be, anyone who thinks otherwise is not getting the size of the job, for them also, and there seems to be a lot more celtic supporters in the league than Rangers fans, does make a difference in they're level of effort, believe me.

10 Nov 2020 09:03:30
It would be lovely if the Vaccine is introduced and we could have at least a half full Brox for lifting the of 55! Supported the Bears for over 45 years and this would be the best Title ever one! Keep going Steven and the boys and the whole support are behind you🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🥃.

10 Nov 2020 09:36:57
no! no! no! if supporters are allowed back we will start to play badly the other lot will play better? that's what that lot say anyway . work that one out.

10 Nov 2020 09:54:07
I am seriously hoping for the season to be played out with no fans. I think it’s helping us enormously and the mob are total opposite. It’s a killer though. On the other hand I am desperate to be there shouting and bawling like a mad man 🤣😆🤣.

10 Nov 2020 10:37:33
seriously c of ibrox in what way is not having anmy crowd helping us and not them?

10 Nov 2020 10:43:03
Briangers Less pressure on our players from our fans perhaps?

10 Nov 2020 10:46:26
Brian, COI is spot on👍.

10 Nov 2020 11:14:14
but that doesn't apply to that lot then? sorry bears i don't get your logic?

10 Nov 2020 11:15:10
perhaps we are just better this season? just a thought .

10 Nov 2020 11:24:24
Brian I have heard people screaming 2 mins into games. When games aren’t going our way against smaller teams like Livingston our fans intimidate our own players. Having no fans is only a problem for us in big games where our crowd inspire our lads like against the Tims. Braga come back being a good example!

10 Nov 2020 11:30:40
I’ve said this before but I think there’s an argument for “some” of their players to feed off the crowd. Take Brown for example, he totally feeds off the crowd and plays up to that, I can’t think of any of our players that need the crowd like he does. And on the flip side, and it may be coincidence, but Tav’s playing a lot better without the moans and groans from the fans. I’m not for one minute saying that we’re benefiting from no fans and they aren’t, I’m only using a couple of examples. Add to that the fact that like it or not, they are used to winning and we have a team that aren’t used to winning. Maybe it’s the case that players who may normally feel under pressure (even with 50.000 fans behind them) are feeling less pressured and intimidated.

10 Nov 2020 11:33:58
fair enough c of ibrox i see what your saying but i am sure all teams take a ribbing from their own fans at some point so they would be intimidated too. so not having fans should benefit them also? if you get what i'm saying lol .? i think i'm getting confused now lol.

10 Nov 2020 11:47:09
I am with C of ibrox on this one some of our fans start giving players a hard time one failed pass and the head goes down.

10 Nov 2020 12:48:58
Guys you all go on about our fans demanding but the Tims fans are the same or probably worse! That’s how a lot of players fail up here✌️🐶.

10 Nov 2020 12:55:39
I believe empty stands is improving us as there is no negativity spouting from the fans if we aren't a goal up after 25 seconds.

10 Nov 2020 12:56:51
Our lads are playing with virtually zero pressure and it is showing. I think we should see how this season pans out and hopefully have a full Ibrox, first game of next season, to cheer on the Champions 🤞🏻.

10 Nov 2020 12:57:40
Brian they don't put near as much pressure on there players due to strolling the league and cups for last decade almost.

10 Nov 2020 13:01:50
guys its totally right not having fans on your back helps. at the same time it lifts you if the fans are with us. opposing teams use it to their advantage. they shut up shop for first half hoping the fans turn (which they do if things aren't going right) which then puts the fear into players who rather than looking for the ball start to hide.

Ok you can say if they can't take the pressure don't wear the jersey. i am not arguing that point but i am telling you simply what happens to them and would happen to you as well if 50K fans turned on you. simples, you hide, so you can't make a mistake and let someone else take the pressure. happens in every work place.

10 Nov 2020 13:08:06
with you on that c of ibrox just don't want to be listening to the dhims saying we won it because we had no crowds and that's why they lost it! i am already listening to that at work here in ireland! we will win the league this year simply because we are the better team and better managed .

10 Nov 2020 14:02:06
Any professional footballer should be lifted playing to full houses, I know which one I would prefer. Maybe us fans need educating and stop giving the boys a hard time, patience is the answer, we have all the skill in the world this season.

10 Nov 2020 14:04:25
Brian to be honest mate I couldn’t care one bit what they say if we win the league.

I don’t drink much but the wife has been told it be awol for a couple of days when it happens as long as we are allowed out by then 😂.

10 Nov 2020 20:38:04
Same kj think I will definitely be on it for a good couple of days.

Review Of The Day 10th November 2020

10 Nov 2020 07:39:05
{Ed's Note - Ed001 has posted a new article entitled, Review Of The Day 10th November 2020

10 Nov 2020 07:12:06
morning fellow bears
just saw a small snippet on rangers twitter of zungu's passes from sundays game . have a look jeeze if he brings that to the party every week we have some player on our hands.

10 Nov 2020 09:02:34
I agree briangersfan, gerrard has added zungu to an extremely quality squad! Steven Gerrard and his management team have done one helluva job thus far, as our squad is looking immense and fitness wise, in fantastic shape. We've improved tenfold since gerrard, mcallister,
beale, culshaw and milsom have been appointed and we're most definitely going places with these guys at the helm 👍What an improvement from the days before gerrard became rangers manager 👌 He's done a fantastic job especially as he inherited a complete shambles! His european record is out of this world and once he wins his first piece of silverware, i do honestly believe he'll go on to win many! Gerrard as i've always stated, will win the league as glasgow rangers manager! A big thanks to gerrard and his backroom team, for building our club back to where it belongs 👏We will never forget what you've done for this magnificent football club👍.

10 Nov 2020 09:24:37
I agree SGL, it feels like the Souness days again for me.

10 Nov 2020 09:51:45
Good posts guys, definitely feels good even if only early November. Match against the sheep next week is massive.

10 Nov 2020 10:11:52
Steady on it’s very early and as yet we haven’t won anything. Long way to go and let’s leave all this back to where it belongs stuff out until we win something. Yes it’s very encouraging and we are playing some great football however as was shown on Thursday we still have a bit to go.

10 Nov 2020 10:39:03
Every Xmas has a Scrooge eh Biff? 😂 totally get your point Biff and of course we haven’t won anything yet I just meant we’ve come a long way (as our European performances show) and it feels better this year. Wasn’t pre-empting the treble or that.

10 Nov 2020 10:47:51
It's amazing what you can do with performance enhancing drugs and steroids. Rumour has it Rocky 4 is Stevie's favourite movie. If he dies he dies 😂😂😂😂.

10 Nov 2020 11:44:16
F***. It alloager the trebles on mate 😉 haha.

10 Nov 2020 11:49:16
Let’s not get a head of ourselves long way to and if you think they will go down without a fight.
This will go right to the wire if we don’t blow up after Xmas again.

Fingers crossed.

10 Nov 2020 12:57:05
Yes AlloaGer, the only major difference between the souness years and the gerrard years was souness had a helluva lot more money to spend, in what of course was a different era. Both a lot of similarities i agree mate, as both started their managerial careers at rangers, both world class midfield icons and both were legendary captains of liverpool 👍.

10 Nov 2020 14:06:34
As regards the sheep and Celtic, we need to stop making them look good, and batter them at Ibrox, with every game that passes with us winning, the pressure increases on them, not us.

10 Nov 2020 14:26:54
Micheal beale imo is a huge part of our success imo. Think he's the brains of the operation coaching and tactical wise.

10 Nov 2020 00:09:13
Wee post for bit of fun. Value of our squad? Al try be fair and not exaggerate my values. Let's see how we get on with a total value.

McGregor - £0 (too old and will retire here)
McLaughlin - £4m
Tav - (controversial) £15-20m
Patterson -£1m (still to prove self)
Goldson - £10-12m
Helander- £5m
Balogun- £5m (but not under long contract)
Edmundson - £1m
Katic- £5m (when fit)
Barasic - £20m (perhaps £25m after euros)
Bassey - £2m (still to prove self)
Davo - £0 (too old will retire here)
Kamara -£20-25m (best mf in country)
Jack - £15m
Arfield- £2m
Aribo -£10m (1 more season -£15/ 20m)
Hagi- £7m (needs to improve)
Kent- £20m
Barker- £0 (don't rate him at all)
Stewart £200grand?
Jones- £250grand?
Roofe- £5-6m (so far I think is fair)
Itten- £2m (jury's out)
Defoe- £0 (will retire here)
Alfredo- £15-20m (depends on form/ discipline) .

Management team- £5-6m (still to win trophies. Brendan went for £10m)

That's around £165m for playing squad. Add in management that's £170m and that was me taking the cheapest values I've gave. We've come a long way. what do fellow bears think?

10 Nov 2020 07:36:14
quadruple the management team valuation what the have done in the time and money given has been miraculous.

10 Nov 2020 07:50:47
Helander ain’t worth 5 million at his age to be honest bud.
McLaughlin we would be doing well to get 4 but the rest pretty spot on maybe ambitious about kamara.

10 Nov 2020 08:16:22
KJA9 you on wind up? Helander is only 27.worth 5m easy in todays market.

10 Nov 2020 08:17:09
I would actually say Bassey would be worth more has played great even in Europe when called upon plus I think down south they will rate him higher I reckon, he’s a cracking player and for being so young he’s going to be a star in the making I reckon

Not sure about McLaughlin as he age going against him I think
Everyone else pretty spot on in my opinion
Paterson if got a run of games would probably get his price tag up too
Overall the club have to be very happy with what we now have in our ranks?

10 Nov 2020 08:45:07
Did you rate him when he came on and scored a very composed goal? Laughable that you've given the player below him a rating as he is absolutely rotten and cannot even get in the team.

10 Nov 2020 08:55:38
McLaughlin has never went for a transfer fee I believe, so no way anybody is paying 4m for him. Balogun age, injury record 1m prob. Jack 6-8m arfield age would struggle to get much of a fee. think perhaps a bit optimistic with some prob 12-15 barisic simply due to age maybe 8-10 for tav same same reason.

10 Nov 2020 10:16:07
Some of those valuations are ridiculous. Who is going to pay £4m for McLaughlin?, £20m for Tavernier? £12m for Goldson?, £15m for Jack? £5m for Balogun or Helander? Pint of what you are on please.

10 Nov 2020 10:37:49
Defo a fair bit optimistic 🤣🤣.

10 Nov 2020 10:49:12
Have to agree with biff and herewego. 👍.

10 Nov 2020 10:58:47
My take on some of these. Think your over inflating a fair few of the players.

McGregor - £0 (too old and will retire here)
McLaughlin - £2m
Tav - £8-12m
Patterson -£1m (Potential)
Goldson - £8-15m
Helander- £5-10m
Balogun- £2-5 (if he signed a longer deal)
Edmundson - £1m
Katic- £3-5m
Barasic - £12-20m
Bassey - £1-2 (Potential to be worth £10 in a year or so)
Davo - £0 (too old will retire here)
Kamara -£12-18m
Jack - £4m
Arfield- £1m (Unlikely to ever move for a fee)
Aribo -£8-12m
Hagi- £5m (Potential)
Kent- £18-25m
Barker- £500k-1m
Stewart - Move for free
Jones- £500k - £1m
Roofe- £5-6m
Itten- £3m (Potential to be worth £10m in a season or 2)
Defoe- £0 (will retire here)
Alfredo- £18-25m.

10 Nov 2020 11:37:47
I get the prices are on the high side for some players guys but why not. Fair do’s re McLaughlin, I think at 33 he’s worth something you’ll get 5 or 6 years out a goalkeeper at that age. But points taken. Anyway, Example Celtic just paid £7m for Jullien, they rate ajer at £15 or something, so why is Goldson not worth £10m? Tavs goal involvement and performance is ourstanding. £15m isn’t a lot for a full back in today’s market. Both are what 27? Barasic sis probably the best player at ibrox along with kamara should we value our best players at less than £20m? Balogun looks a class centre back and if we had him on a 3-4 year, deal I’d be quoting £5m for him. Is he not also 27? 10 year to go. Ryan jack for £4m? C’mon mate how can u say that he’s a great midfielder. Villa just got chin for £2.75m and rated him at £50m 6 months later. Same when Arsenal got tierney his value went from £25m to £50m after about 3 games. I don’t expect arfield to move for a fee either guys but if he did £2m for a club in championship is a fair price. As for barker, I just don’t rate the bot at all he’s not my cup of tea. I couldn’t put a price on his head I think he’s crap. Nothing against the boy. I said at the start a bit a fun man some a yez are jumpin down my throat 😂 take a chill pill man. If we disagree who cares lol 👍🇬🇧.

10 Nov 2020 11:51:07
Sorry guys I don’t know why but I thought helander was in his 30s must have baby brain in isolation.

10 Nov 2020 11:56:53
Barisic is 28 transfer fees are highest for players up to prob 26 as you still have some sell on value. As good as borna is that's why I think prob 12m or so. balogun is 32 not going to fetch a fee. Same arfield. Same mcglsughlin who's going to pay that for a goalkeeper who's never even cost money in his prime never mind at 33?

10 Nov 2020 15:12:39
I get barasic is 28 mate, I maybe I’ve went high. I take it on board. Still think though £20m on 5year deal isn’t too bad for a Spurs West Ham Southampton etc. He’s a top class international player I stand by my barasic valuation. Although maybe not £25m. I didn’t know Balogun was 32. I’d say £2m maybe fair if under coantract he’s a good player. Same with arfield he could play another 4/ 5 years £2m ain’t much to ask head run amok in championship. But he’ll stay here so irrelevant, McLaughlin . the valuation of him shouldn’t concern his previous valuation or career moves. At 32/ 33 he has 6/ 7 year in him keepers at his prime in his 30s not like An outfield player. If not £4m then £2.5/ 3m he’s got a value guys 👍.

10 Nov 2020 15:13:54
Everton just bid £5m for Romero, he’s 33. Man Utd kb’d it and asked for £10m. Keepers have different values in there 30s than outfield players.
