Connor Goldson had a great game today. The big fella has even brushed up in his passing. Watching him today if you didn’t know who captain was you would think Goldson was ours. he's really stepped up his game recently.

It was great to keep a clear sheet today, Livi have been prolific at home scoring a whole 4 goals which is one better than St Mirren who are bottom of the goals scored at home league with 3.

The back 4 in line with the rest of our team were excellent today, we completely dominated them from start to finish but let’s not lie, we were never going to be tested against Livi.

SRK they tested us plenty last time. They also own a victory over the (self proclaimed) superstars from the smelly end of Glasgow. I thought we looked great, Borna is class and Goldson after a wobble has been outstanding last few games.

Really do like big katic but the back 4 are playing well, and have the jerseys on merit, big goldson after a shaky few weeks has been top class recently.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear with my point, they’ve scored 4 goals at home this season which is the second lowest in the league. They are set up to be aggressive and hard to beat, not to score loads of goals or create loads of chances.

Let’s see how our back 4 fair against better teams before coming on the forum and challenging people’s opinions about our best 4 defenders.

The back four currently have been playing outstanding although I’m still concerned that in harder games Tav will be found wondering.

SRK Tav has kept it simple the last couple of games and done really well. I know your name has Katic in it, but it's hard to see past the back 4 just now. Keeping Porto out at home and they needed a wonder goal at the Dragao as well.

I agree SRK, livingston are very poor and we should not be put under any sort of pressure by a team with their limited resources. They are the run of the mill games we should be winning particularly when as you say they have only scored 4 goals at home so far this season. We have been exposed defensively against the better sides but we look more settled now that we don't have excessive changes in personnel every game. It was a comfortable and professional performance against a side that we should never have any problems beating. The big names are still waiting and I hope they don't force another name change as a fourth name would be embarrassing even more so than the 2nd or 3rd. 👍.

My point is SRK you can't vilify the back 4 when they make errors but not praise the same players when they rack up clean sheets no matter who they are playing. 👍
And FYI, the dodgy Tav has been involved in clean sheets in harder games against Porto, Feyenoord, Aberdeen and Legia ( twice ) already this season.

We held up well against a good porto side, I did fear the worst particularly in the first half as the were bombarding us and it did look as if it was just a matter of time before they scored, the whole team has to take responsibility for that not just the defence👍.

Anyone who ever knew anything about football knows that plastic pitches are generally a quality leveller . Not all the time, but certainly some of the poor ones in Scotland . They have always been a thorn in our side.

As much as I hate us playing on plastic I feel we are starting to master it. Used to feel players struggled to move and turn and hardly put in tackles.
This season I have seen a marked improvement.

It can be when we don't press or play as a team but mostly this season goals conceded have been down to individual mistakes. The porto game for example we lost our shape, we weren't winning second balls, we weren't playing. The game at tynecastle, tav's fault. Its quite easy to differentiate between both (depending on who you are of course) . The big names lye in wait👍.

Katic never won his first aerial dual at Hearts. So he wasn't helping out his teammates.
Katic never picked up Edouard after Goldson gave the ball away against Celtic.
You say individual errors, I can point to other players having a part to play. 👍
You like to vilify only certain players, I prefer to see Rangers win and lose as a team. 👍.

The naive and inexperienced but 'best' (🤣😂) CH we have Katic gets dropped for the big games and we destroy Hearts in the semi final, turn over Porto with a CH pairing that are going from strength to strength.

While it's good for the atmosphere and I am all for as many bears getting to see the team as possible, does anyone else find it a bit embarrassing that a top flight club gives up 3/ 4 of their ground to us? Mind you when you see the crappy, aggressive football they play don't think I would fancy paying to see it either 🤣.

Seeker, your post reminds me of Andy Walker - can't say something positive about a highly professional performance without qualifying it with a negative. Teams miss chances EVERY game, so why the need to highlight those two in a week where we've played in three competitions, won all three games with an aggregate score of 7-0, put us in with a great chance of furthering our European campaign, joint top of the league and into a cup final? We should be rejoicing, man!

Edd. Over time on this site I've noticed a few posters being offensive to the people who live up north. Just the other day it was, didn't know they had telly up there, now its cheuchter. i'm no snow flake far from it i'm X armed forces from Paisley. However, I've lived up North for decades and take offence to the perceived impression some have in the Glasgow bubble have of anybody up here. There is a large loyal following in this area with thousands of x forces and home grown support. Just because you live a mile from Ibrox does not give you ownership. My son and I live and breath Rangers like any other so let's burst the bubble Bears and move away from this small mindedness.

I'm Glasgow bubble gender and my wife is Attack helicopter gender. Have i just offended someone somewhere in the world who thinks there are genders other than male and female?

I've lived in England for 35 years and have had good-natured banter, being called a Jock or a sweaty and have never taken offence. It is a crazy world we live in now.
