I feel very heartened watching Ibrox bounce on a cold Wednesday evening and again on Saturday. A great support for a great team. Unfortunately I've been abroad for the last while, so its been a few years since I've had the pleasure of watching the famous Rangers and munching a blue nose burger. All this boardroom mince will end some time

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well said Nippo. This boardroom mince will end soon. in Administration. You can then buy your own bouncy castle-greyskull from the Argus Superstore, a new one is opening in Edminston Drive very soon! You even get free hot air to blow it up with, all is good!

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 the only hot air around is what your spouting in your obsessive world. Nipponbear, welcome back

Agree0 Disagree0

Awww.No sense of humour? Banter site you know. Charlie had a great sense of humour. Always laughing. I heard he has a bouncy castle shaped like Ibrox in his garden in Fance, and when his family want a laugh they all go and have a bounce around while listening to the champions league tune.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 is Argus a new shop that's opened?

Agree0 Disagree0

Pb1, just look at his previous post, roar67 is dumber than our board. Sticking money on airdrie. Numbnuts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Eh, Grayskull is the home of the good guys. That'll be snake mountain your thinking of but never mind, your roaring fails are always welcome.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 gaz you seem never to be happy, I imagine your the type never to smile, too serious, sitting on your chair with your cardigan on and your wee 90s (early) nickname. You do make me laff though. Thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

I concur wholeheartedly with nipponbear

Agree0 Disagree0

Got me all wrong biguy, I always smile when I watch rangers win. Unlike the celtic fans who come on and vent their fury about everything rangers.

And with regards to the bet, even ian black wouldn't be dumb enough to bet on airdrie to beat rangers

Agree0 Disagree0

Roar its just unfunny, you may enjoy chuckling at your own er 'jokes' but they are not very good I am afraid. Like the Argus too, do you know something we dont? Any idea what price the shares will start at on floatation?

Agree0 Disagree0

@9 but you still got a 90s nickname and I bet, a middle shed?

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 stewie what a bait-bitting childish little reply, tell me that's not all you got

Agree0 Disagree0

@12 oops must have touched a nerve with my reply. What was that you said about taking the bait?

Agree0 Disagree0

N3 I wonder if he got his bouncy castle in the same shop as wee fergus eh

First Billy Davies, Then Derek McIness and now Terry Butcher, and we are left with this parasite McCoist and his jokeroom staff, gogogogogogogogogo ffs please, its unbearable.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

For god sake what true Rangers fan would refer to our manager as a parasite he is a club legend you may not want him as a manager that's ok me I think he is doing just fine unbeaten well clear at the top of the league what else do you want from a manager for god sake let him take it back to the top league then judge him in that league if he fails there we can look at it but he is never a parasite he brought many a joyfull day to me

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Nov 2013 13:30:42
@1 I'm guessing the OP is referring to mccoists disgustingly fat and completely unjustifiable salary, which he has been happy to take whilst backroom staff (whose annual salaries mccoist earns every few days) are being made redundant. That qualifies him as a parasite in my book. Legend blah de blah, that was then, this is now.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have stated prior to this that Ally is not the man fo the job imo we have missed a bid oppertunity in not getting big Tel at the start.
He has proven at Caley how to build a time on limited funds.
Re the parasite jibe again sorry Ally unless you show that the 1P you paid for your shares were another big cash payoff our club could do without your days are truley numbered come the AGM.
I am sorry in stating this op but you certainly have made plenty out our club.
No wonder you don't do walking away!!
DouneBear

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree, Ally is a best. a mediocre manager who will struggle when back in big league as he did last time.
Our big problem here is that to pay him off and get another manager in will cost money that Rangers can not afford. Unfortunatly.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Nov 2013 15:21:25
A team Ally has put together is doing the job, unbeaten in league in 1 cup final (b4 u all start) it might be the ramsdens cup bit still further than we went last season, next round in another cup hope we get a good run, Ally reducing his wages yes ok still a lot more than other managers in the top league never mind this one but again he took a pay cut. Ally should be given until we are back in top league then we will see how he does, for all you Sly haters out there did none of ever think that maybe by that tome his contract will be up and we most likely will have another manager in place with money to spend on players. Also I feel the team we have would hold their own in top league full of former spl players all we need when we get back should be 2-3 players at most, we don't need anymore for this season maybe 1-2 for next season and we should still wall the championship. We are all Rangers fans we should support all the team and club!
RTID, WATP

Agree0 Disagree0

@1 although parasite is maybe a bit harsh it's probably not too far off the mark. The ridiculous salary, the 1p shares and the personic comment about signing a contract and not knowing the amount he was on are an insult to all the Rangers fans. As for your comment about him just doing fine just now. It's only because he has far more resources than the rest of the league. your view is very short term the club isn't building for the future, virtually all the young players who played last season have been tossed to the side to make way for players like Foster, Smith and Black all of whom will be finished by the time we get back to the top flight. All Ally has done is spend money on a team that will win a part time league. £7.8m a year to win div 1 ludicrous

Agree0 Disagree0

Ludicrous maybe but the money being spent is not to win div 1, it is to get a strong squad in place for return to the so called big league. Would it be better to spend nothing and probably struggle to get promotions? Then spend it all in a oner on return to top div.

Agree0 Disagree0

@7 to get a strong squad in place for return to the big league? Do you really think in 2 years time Foster, McCulloch, Black, Smith, Daly will be of the standard of the big league? Do you believe that Faure, Little, Crawford and Hutton are players required to challenge in the big league? Are you not a bit alarmed that players like Gasperatto, McKay and McAusland have made way for older players? A team is not being built but rather to get back to the top league and then what? The way it's being run just now a lot of bears fans are going to get a rude awaking in the top league never mind top 2 we might make top 6

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 That rude awakening will happen if we meet Dundee United in the Cup with their 17 year old two goal hero yesterday Ryan Gauld. If your good enough your old enough. Oh yeah and there is nothing like Murray Park near Tannadice.
But let's hopefully get the good guys in at the AGM and with "proper" money men in charge the importance of your own youth will be recognised.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't remember when they won the league at tannadice it says everything doesn't it

Agree0 Disagree0

What true Rangers fan registers as "McCoist must do walking away"? The man's on a 16 in a row winning streak and I don't know what better you want. There are other teams out there to support.

Agree0 Disagree0

@11 would be nice if he could have achieved all that at a fraction of the cost or if the team had been full of good young players from Murray Park. McCoist appears unable to do either

Agree0 Disagree0

Op I don't know about first two but terry b has said he would not take the rangers job and n6 that's what nl does at parkhead he buys more expensive player than the others in top league its a known fact if a team has a bigger turn over then they can afford better players that's a fact

Agree0 Disagree0

Id keep ally he's proving himself now against some of the bigger clubs in the division. His tactics have been spot on and he took that big massive wage cut remember, he's a true club legend and I believe there should be a statue of him standing next to john greig

Agree0 Disagree0

I concur unreservedly with biarya

just a point to No, 2
Does that make Larsson a parasite? he also took a fortune out of his club for scoring goals in Scotland,
In your words Legend Blah de blah, or is he different in your tiny little mind,
Tommyblue

Agree0 Disagree0

@5. What was Allys pay cut?. don't remember it ever been made public or signed for that matter. CEO walked away just as it was in media Ally would take pay cut, didn't look at contract he was signing. Blah blah blah. Paracite, liar. & hey ho after a 2 minute conversation with "stand in" chairman. Super sally is backing him. CMON!! what's that all about?

Agree0 Disagree0

@16 tommyblue Henrik larsson earned his wages scoring in the top flight and europe

Agree0 Disagree0

@ 18 Agreed Larsson was a playing legend as McCoist was for us. For some bears McCoist is definitely not a managerial legend and according to A Rangers blogger on Ibrox Noise has not in fact started his reduced salary of £412, 500. 00 and is in fact still on £825,000. 00.

Just saying- I don't know but the blogger seemed to be sure of his facts- now that would be bad- wouldn't it?

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Nov 2013 08:09:46
@18, so did Ally McCoist,?and actually a lot more than Henrik, now he, s the manager, doesn't matter what you think of him, he, s still working for rangers isn't he? The point was the guy said "legend blah de blah, that was then, " did he not? I simply asked if the same criteria applied to Others?

mccoist says he is "very encouraged" after meeting Rangers' new acting chairman David Somers before the 2-0 win over Airdrieonians mccoist should run the football side and stay out of the papers news unless it for football reasons this is just another pay off for us to fork out once the agm is held we the fans want transparenty and actions at get none so no matter what mccoist says I will not be falling for the storys anymore we want change and we demand change

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yet again Ally out endorsing another unproven individual in the hope of keeping his wee cushy number of a job safe. When will the majority of fans realise that this man has nothing but his own self interest at heart. It actually offends my intelligence reading this dross over and over again in the press. Can't he just shut his mouth?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mccoist was greeting in the papers on saturday about not having a relationship like previous managers with their chairman. my memory must be faulty, because I seem to remember hm backing whyte, green, mather, and now this guy. I know we are all entitled to our own opinions, but surely to goodness the head in the sand brigade must be getting a wee bit suspicious of mccoist backing everyone who will keep him in the style to which he is accustomed. he must be included in the cleansing.

Agree0 Disagree0

What an absolute joke of an OP and replies. Do you not understand how companies are run? A senior manager has to answer to a Chairman whether they like it or not and McCoist, as an employee of the company, has to.

Let's cut Ally some slack here. 12 out of 12 in the league. It would be great to hear from more of the pro McCoist brigade on this page as the anti Ally lot seem to get plenty space.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kfraser I am with you the team is going well unbeaten in the league I have no idea what else this lot want let's get back to the top league if he fails there we can look at it but let's get behind the team all the way back up stop this petty sniping

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Nov 2013 13:36:47
@3 Clearly you're not so up on plc company structures despite your patronising comment. Senior managers don't answer to the chairman, they answer to the chief exec. The chairman has responsibility for keeping the executive directors in check. Mccoist isn't one of those and god forbid he ever becomes one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same old crap then Ally. trust him think he got best intrests of club at heart. OMG. ie
Rangers manager Ally McCoist claims he has been "100%'' happy with the backing he has received from new owner Craig Whyte as he builds his squad for his first season at the helmJuly 22, 2011

ALLY McCOIST believes Rangers finally have a figurehead willing to stand up for the club in the shape of outspoken Charles Green. 20 Aug 2012
Groundhog day I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

@4 it would be nice to see McCoist building a team. That isn't happening and as for 12/12 look at what it's costing wage wise! You surely can't be happy that the club feels the need to spend amounts we can't afford to win div 1

Agree0 Disagree0

@5. Nothing patronising about my comment at all. Your comment lays claim to know about PLC structures and yet you fail to recognise that we don't have a CEO. Believe me, when in the real corporate environment, when the Chairman wants to talk to you, you do.

Irrespective, McCoist is doing a fantastic job.

Agree0 Disagree0

@8 do you honestly believe a manager who has the luxury of a wage bill of £7.8m and was able to sign proven SPL players is doing a fantastic job when he is up against part time teams? IF we were doing all this with youth team players I would agree but there is nothing fantastic about beating teams when the gulf is so big.

Agree0 Disagree0

Every football minded person realises when a team has SPFL level players and wage bill to match they will easily win all their games when playing teams 2 divisions lower.

McCoist has backed every crook and conman director to date without exception, which at the very least shows uncanny lack of judgement but more realistically a chameleon like ability to attach himself to any person he thinks will keep him in the style he is accustomed to.

He is embarrassing every time he opens his mouth.

After the board McCoist must be next to go with his hommies.

George, by your reckoning then there should never be any upsets in scottish cups etc,? why shouls there never be any upsets?
Tommyblue

Agree0 Disagree0

N7 would you rather rangers signed part time or lesser players then maybe took 10 or 20 years to get back to top league

Agree0 Disagree0

Tommyblue

Ha correct you are of course right upsets do happen and we possibly will in fact likely we will come the freezing winter games away on dodgy pitches when half the players hungover, but what I was meaning was over a season an SPFL standard team training full-time and on huge wages/bonuses compared to other Div 1 teams, will mostly win all their games and by a lot of goals.
Thankfully we will be 25 points ahead soon as second admin might require us to be that far ahead, for that I am thankfully our team is overqualified for this Division. who knows maybe this was the plan all along, nothing would surprise me now.

listened to the Tam Cowan show on radio today, forgetting the fact that no show could be be more ante RFC than this, heard the biggest load of BS ever saying scottish football is looking good right now, all the usual cra. about being competitive in all leagues. Is it not possible there should be a system where you need to pass an intelligence test before you are allowed to broadcast.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You do know Tams programme is a light entertainment programme that pokes fun at everyone you need to lighten up a bit OP

Agree0 Disagree0

Oops Tam obviously does not read his employers reports.
"The Scottish Premier League's average attendance fell by 28%, from 13, 855 to 10, 020, although that figure was skewed by the liquidation of Rangers, who are now in the Scottish Third Division".
The great unwashed are down from 50, 904 to 46, 917. And Even we are down to 45, 750 from 46, 324. So eh Tam I would get new researches in sir.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Nov 2013 13:45:35
@2 As your own quote says, the figures you refer to are a total average which is skewed by absence of rangers. If you look at individual clubs then most of their attendances have actually slightly increased since we've been out spl. that's why people saying relatively healthy looking. All my non-gers mates are really enjoying the spl without us there, we're not missed financially or otherwise. that's not hate driven bile, just simple reality.

Agree0 Disagree0

@1, don't completely disagree but even you will surely agree that by far the majority of the ''poking fun'' most certainly leans towards one club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Teams like DUFC appear to be managing to get rid of part their debt at moment? how can they be doing that when in your words Scottish Football is on the way down?
Remember we appear to be the biggest money losing team in Scotland at the moment so what's it going to be like when we need to compete with the bigger teams? and need to pay even more bloody wages? big attendances won't help. so?will we just keep losing milllions or "cut our cloth" and as for Cowan he pokes fun at everything and everyone its call fun. jokes. laughs. remember we used to be able to do that? without caring about others. Take it the way its meant fun fun fun not anti Rangers for F. S.

Agree0 Disagree0

N3 it was reported in the papers that all crowds are down in scotish football
