Any news on the new puma strip yet? personally I would rather nike or adidas as puma kits are usually pretty dire but most teams have released their new strips by now!

TV news online reporting Ogilvie and Regan attended FIFA conference, both looking at scrapping SFA Associate memberships. This is for new/ restart clubs for five years. So Rangers might become full members with vote in under five years. Currently rangers the only associate member.

Arrest warrant raised for Craig whyte for failing to appear as a witness at a prosecution HE demanded.
The court heard at the case of his two accused housekeepers ( who he prob didn't pay!) his estranged wife phone him (he, s in France) he said he, d been counter-manded? ( no longer reqd) judge said rubbish and he, d personally been served papers to attend.
Looks like Craig whyte has some time in the big noose waiting on him when he comes back to Scotland.
Come home Craig, I'm sure the rangers fans inside would love a chat with you

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I wouldn't be in the least surprised if the court known this was the easiest way to get craig shyte and serve him with an indightment for the trouble he caused at rangers and believe me this is a tactic used in lots of countries including scotland

Agree0 Disagree0

This is rather ironic.
I'm sure that Whyte expected the case to be dismissed, but what has happened is that a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Oh well. I'm sure there won't be many who will protest.

Agree0 Disagree0

After what he done to Rangers he gets away scot free, so he decides not to turn up to court as a witness and he gets an instant arrest warrant. when does the arrest warrant get served for what he done too Rangers.

We shouldn't forget the man kept our club going by using due tax to fund the running costs. Try and imagine the scenario if we had simply gone bust mid season! The guy is a rogue, but we owe him big time. Had enough of the simplistic spin that he is to blame for our woes.

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you serious this guy done nothing for our club apart form almost kill it. Before he came to the club Rangers where steadily bringing the debt down while successfully competing on the park. He came in and decided not ta pay anything including tax so how on God's earth can you say he was good for our club

Agree0 Disagree0

We were only "slowly bringing down" the bank debt. Not the squillions we owed to every tom dick & harry up and down the land. We were doomed well before whyte even heard of rangers. Blaming him is just the pro-David Murray spin and i'm sick of hearing it. Its so naive I can't believe it still gets an airing. Not that I like whyte, but David Murray is to blame, plain and simple.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually no Craig Whyte at Ibrox and who knows if there would even be a Rangers today. I don't want to praise the guy and he was out of order with PAYE & NI but to be fair to him he didn't steal that money, that money went into Rangers when the club was on its knees after 2 quick exits in Europe.

Lot of hypocrisy surrounds the guy usually from the punters who were his biggest supporters & I for one lay the blame for administration & liquidation on the man who was DUPED by Whyte, lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

@5. dream on.

"Before he came to the club Rangers where steadily bringing the debt down while successfully competing on the park. "

We were making losses and shipping £6-£8 million out each year in EBTS. if we had paid down debt insead of EBT we would still be in CL!

We used to get £18m for next 3 years shirt sales. £18 million upfront. now we can't get a penny - cash on sale only.

SDM wanted RFC loosing money to avoid tax. EBTS to pay and avoid tax. no wonder no one would buy us. we corrupt to the core.

Agree0 Disagree0

Whyte clear says to Green on tape that HE DOES NOT TRUST D&P - he was right.

D&P and Green screwed RFC for £5m in d&p fees and illegal sale of assets under value to Green not whyte.

Agree0 Disagree0

N6 the debt was being paid off fairly quickly in 3yrs ws reduced debt from 37mill to 18 mill the reason nobody was to interested in buying was because of hmrc thinking we owed them zillion witch we didn't if people had known outcome of tax case many people would have tried to buy rangers hinesight would be a wonderful thing

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Jun 2013 20:00:18
@10 No, what everyone seems to conveniently forget is the "£140m" list of debt published by D&P when they analysed the books. That included around £75m worst case scenario potential debt to HMRC. It didn't include the £18m that had recently been paid to Lloyds. That means we owed about £65m to tom dick & harry. that's right, £65m in debt and no credit line from a bank because that had been withdrawn during SDMs tenure. So liquidation was inevitable, whyte or no whyte. And SDM was to blame. Plain and simple. And let's be honest, we all knew it was coming, probably for 2 or 3 years. We were just hoping it was somehow not true. That's not hindsight, that's a true and accurate memory from a bear who is prepared to call it as it is instead of going along with the "blame everyone else" bs.

Agree0 Disagree0

N11 if hmrc hadnt started shouting for money we never owed rangers would have found a reasonable buyer I don't blame everbody else but hmrc did not help our cause

Ed let's clarify a couple of points regarding playing in europe again for those that are slow on the uptake
1, no European deadline was missed this season, we never qualified so no need to apply for a licence, that's like saying dundee missed the deadline, clear?
2, When we qualify for Europe again we will apply for a licence, clear?
3, article 47 states that ONE year accounts must be submitted and comparative figures for the previous year must be included, clear?
4 we must have Been a member of the sfa for three consecutive seasons, therefore 12/13, 13/14, 14/15, clear?
5, as per 4 we can play in Europe in august of 2015 (if we qualify), clear?
6, uefa can grant an exception to all of the above at their discretion, clear?

If anybody has another take on it please quote the article concerned from the uefa guidelines, not just what some guy down the pub says,
Can we put this to bed now?

JG

Believable0 Unbelievable0

You can't play in TOP division in any european league without account history.

So need that first before you enter top league not after.

Agree0 Disagree0

Associate Member does this count?

Agree0 Disagree0

Derry just won 2nd place. and no route into UEFA competition as UEFA would not waive regulations.

Why will UEFA wave regulations for Rangers after Rangers CEO (Green) on tape saying UEFA corrupt?

Wake up - the wilderness years await. 10 years penitance for all the wrong doing of our CEO's

Murray (UTT)
Whyte (Admin/Liquidation)
Green (IPO and its collapse, UEFA tapes)
Smith (Ebts?)

need clean slate - start afresh and work way up - always have 50,000 fans each week - so will take time but will happen, no favours needed - just hard work, team of babes and in 5 years win everything on merit.

Agree0 Disagree0

@OP: does as year as associate members of the SFA count?

Agree0 Disagree0

The SFA deadline for accounts to be submitted was missed, rendering the rest of your points invalid, clear?

G93

Agree0 Disagree0

@2&4 yes associate member counts

Go to uefa.com the licence regulation document is there @1 you don't need to play in top division to qualify for Europe if you go in through the cup route
@ 3 no favours required if they get the accounts in order this year and next
JG

Agree0 Disagree0

N5 the rangers account are not due until the 30th of june

Agree0 Disagree0

@5 keep up we are talking about the required criteria to play in Europe

Like I said please quote the article of uefa, s document that you are referring to G93

JG

Agree0 Disagree0

Ebts nothing to do with smith

Agree0 Disagree0

If you do not submit your accounts to your national body before the cut off date they cannot put you forward to represent them in Europe the following season under UEFA guidelines, keep up mate.

G93

Agree0 Disagree0

@10 lucky we're not looking to be put forward next season eh

Do some of the muppets on here actually read what they've written before posting or do the slevers get in the way

christ almighty

Agree0 Disagree0

JG - have you hear the long tape of Green and Whyte discussing how to get back into europe quickly, it scuppers all your regulation pish!

Green CEO of Glasgow Rangers on tape saying Platini useless and UEFA corrupt and regulations can be avoided with nice "bottle" bribe. won't that scupper you stpe by step approach?

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga got caught out JG - how come you don't include that in step 1. 5

Any unpaid bills lead to punishment in UEFA - simples.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rule 7. Any unpaid bills lead to severe punishment of club and association (Swiss).

Agree0 Disagree0

N2 we were never an ass member that only applies to brand new clubs if youve been following the story we are not a new club

Agree0 Disagree0

@15: why no voting power then? Associate members have none - that's what your club is, an associate member.

Rangers are after 3 players 2 defenders and a right back I believe berra hately and bikey are the players we are after

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Rangers are definitely signing marius zaliukas and it's a straight fight between Craig Cathcart & Christophe berra to see who'll partner zally which one would u prefer to be zaliukas's defence partner at rangers next season bears fans?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Luca Gasparrotto & Lee McCulloch keep Berra no thank you save ourselves some money plus we could be stuck with Goian & Boca, Cribari & Perry so I really don't see Zaliukas coming in before someone's sold!

Agree0 Disagree0

Play mcculloch at cente-back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't really mind, both similar quality, though Berra is prob stronger in the air which is something we have to b better at next season. Also would depend who costs less in terms of wages and to be honest I can't see cathcart joining us were as Berra seems more feasible, he is scottish after all ( though its possible that he's from Scotland but hates rangers too!)

Agree0 Disagree0

"a straight fight between Craig Cathcart & Christophe berra to see who'll partner zally". Is it the winner or the loser that signs for Rangers?

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Jun 2013 14:17:29
i would prefer cathcart as he is only 24 I think and a good player, maybe less wages aswell.

All the serious rumours flying around seem to be for midfield and forward players, are we getting bocca and goian back is that's the reason! Personally I'd sell them any thoughts

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Will anyone buy them?

Agree0 Disagree0

Quality centre backs better than anything in spl

Agree0 Disagree0

Goian has stated he is retiring once his loan spell is done he won't be back
