I think that craig whyte will get us through the tough period coming up for the club, but the concern iv got is the period after this. In every interview of craig whyte he has always referred to the david murray era and has a long term plan to financially stabilise the club, in other words no big signings for a large fee, so weve got to hope the scouting process is improved so we can get very good players for little money, like celtic have done
Believable1
Unbelievable6
His plan is to strip us bare and then disappear with full pockets
Agree5
Disagree4
When his backs to the wall craig whyte mentions the damage that murray done to the club, thats a fair point,on the other hand why did mr whyte buy the club if he knew the full situation?why does he never exactly slate David Murray? After Murray stood down as chairman we then saw the debt dramatically reduced,so why does whyte now badmouth the board(ex board)who managed to bring the debt down....why no attack on murray?
Agree1
Disagree0
Just had an interesting chat with a friend of a friend and he reckons the answer to the money woes are in the contracts between murray and whyte.he thinks that the lloyds money has not been paid and moved to the new RFC holdings comp that whyte set up.this new comp has ,apparently, renewed the original floating bank charge and he thinks that whyte has used this as security for the ticketus advance.this would mean that whyte has not got a say in when an admin event would happen,it would be the person in the floating charge that would decide.the key might be when the next payment to ticketus is due as it will be them that will declare an insolvency. hope i got it right but drink had been taken! by the way the guy is a gers fan and runs the scottish part of a multi national so i think he might know what he's talking about

(If he qualifies in time)
Energy and grit in all positions, if Cousin is shecht then I stand corrected but he can't be worse that whats going on and he's been in a tournament recently and should be sharper than what we have.
I agree that Burrows should get a sniff, the boy is good.

Edu at right back. No chance. If Ally was going to play him there, he'd have done it by now.
McKay in midfield. He can't even make the bench, so no chance of a start tomorrow.
Cousin - has not received International clearance an if he had, he's suspended.
Oh, and by the way, I'm a Celtic supporter. Know more about your team than you do.
Agree1
Disagree2
I never said Ally would do it, just that it seemed solid, and strangely most of us don't go on the Celtic page as we are Rangers supporters, why the hell do you muppets come on here? If the gers do go to the wall the only good to come of it will be watching you trying to get exited about Hearts, St Mirren and going to Dingwall of a wednesday night.
No Gers=No old Firm= No Sky or Espn money.

I'm getting sick of hearing about all these ex-directors/employees and supposedly "Rangers Men" now demanding info on Craig Whyte's takeover! Where were these "Rangers men" when Rangers needed them most? They all disappeared into the background. Alastair Johnstone especially! Happy to give his opinion to the BBC and anyone else who wants to dig up some more scandal but when asked if he was going to buy us when SDM put us up for sale replied with "this is not the right time for me" funny that eh! NONE of us have any control over whats going on behind the scenes but ALL of us can influence the team on the park! get behind them and get behind the LEGENDS that are in the dugout. Look at there faces they are hurting as much as we are! A few choruses of "Super Ally" and "Blue and white dynamite" would do them a world of good! It has been an honor supporting Rangers in the good times and it will be the same through the bad and till the day I die!!
Dmrangers
Believable11
Unbelievable3
It is untrue to say that the ex-directors did not have deep concerns about whyte and they made that perfectly clear. Whilst they have to realise that it was under their stewardship that the problems arose. No wonder the time was not right as they knew the tax case would put us into admin. only an asset stripper would buy the club when admin was a real probability
Agree3
Disagree0
As for Johnston saying ""this is not the right time for me" I think that this is a perfectly valid statememt. If it was the right time to buy, then there would have been several bidders after Rangers, not just Craig Whyte.
And rather sad when you have to refer to Legends in the dugout - doesn't say much for the team on the park.

You've just valadated my point, Whyte was the only one man enough to step up! The rest made excuses then done nothing but b*tch about him! And the legends comment? Surely the support for the team on the park is a givin considering we support Rangers??

i do agree that cousin would be a better option upfront on his own than healy.I just wanto make the point of showing how far out team has fallen since then. When cousin was here the first time he was a fringe player.I know i'll get abuse for saying this but he was only good in europe or against celtic any other game he wasnt interested at all and was worse than a man down at times.thats why he didnt play for months and then played the old firm game just before he left first time round. if he doesnt cut it after 2 or 3 games i would like to see him dropped and give hemmings a shot.he deserves it much much more than a washed up average striker at best
Believable3

Hemmings must be sick at this signing.he no doubt thought that this would be his chance and unless ally pairs him up he could be the next young player to leave.unless this rumour of having to pay a fee to murray when a young player makes his debut is true

STV News 6.00p.m.
Reporting on the Sheriffs findings in the £90k case against Craig Whyte in relation to roofing repairs to his home, the Sheriff found that Craig Whyte was a totally unreliable witness.
This is a case outwith of football and the Sheriff is giving this ruling, so no claim can be made that it is the media or Celtic supporters with an agenda. The Sheriff said his evidence contradicted other evidence.
This man is a total embarrassment. He cannot do anything without it being underhand.

What does this investigation that the old board have asked for into the takeover mean and if there is any wrong doing in the process of the takeover do the old board come bcd into power ?? Also why is johnston asking for this to be done now does anyone else think he has an insight into how the tax case has whent and he's now made his move to get back in control as things have whent well for rangers what's your take on it ed ??

But ed that is good news surely IF Johnstons somehow got hold of info in which way the case goes or has maybe GONE... This could be a move by him to get whyte out an some real money men in ie Ellis an king an I'm sure others... or maybe I'm in a pipe dream.... but where there's hope.... PaulRFC {Ed014's Note - Ellis didn't have enough money to buy the club himself, remember the first failed takeover?I would hate Ellis to get any power at the Gers, look at his record with clubs.I just meant it is always bad or negative news that is coming out.

Fair shout about Ellis but maybe king an I'm sure Johnstons got his own plan an wouldn't of came out like this at this time unless he had the baws to back himself...whatever it is this is gonna be the craziest 6-8 months of our history and I for one after hearing these latest revelations feel we are gonna beat this! With or without whyte we still have more league titles than nearly every other club out there! PaulRFC

Agree5

Why would anybody want to buy rangers now? up for sale for three years anybody with cash could have done what whyte done, but they never did.why? because it's toxic, whyte stepped up and now holds all the aces for re-selling.even without the tax case it would be stupid to try and buy rangers now as whyte would be looking for far more than its actual worth.conservative estimates put the debt at around 25m add the loss in running costs(10m per annum) and admin seems to be certain.

Inside Information, Craig Whyte is putting my beloved club into liquidation within the next 17 days. This man will walk away from this making himself a profit. Ally already knows, this might be why Alistair Johnston made his statement today. Please don't allow this scam merchant to do this. This is also besides the fact that both Craig Whyte and Ally Russell have both stated to certain individuals in private that they think the tax case is won. We need the real Rangers men to join together and pressure the politicians to stop this.
This Wank3r bought my club by borrowing X4 season ticket money as he is skint really and anyone who knows him well is aware of. David Murray needs taken to task also "I'll only sell the club to the right man" my bahookie. He probably gave Whyte the idea to borrow from Ticketus.

Heres an interesting thought on the rangers tax case ...lloyds bank were desperate to offload rangers fc part of the loss making murray group .....bearing in mind that murray group itself used the EBT scheme .why do lloyds still have an 85% stakehold in the murray group and are not activley trying to flog the dead donkey .... the bankers dont seem worried if they were we would have heard about it by now ....maybe not much to worry about after all :)
Believable2

No your interpretation is incorrect. You ask the question why don't Lloyds flog of their share in the dead donkey. Well the answer is simple, it is a dead donkey, so who would buy it? No-one. The best, although not ideal, strategy for Lloyds at present is to continue it's shareholding in the business.

In all the doom and gloom one of the many subjects that is mentioned is the fact that Murray Park does not produce players, which is a load of nonsense, the problem is we just either loan them out or get rid of them the list is endless sine the place opend in July 2001.
The other factor mention with Murray Park that it has not paid for itself again a load of nonsense.
The place cost 14m the club has sold the following players who came through Murray Park
1 Barry Ferguson to Blackburn 7.5 m 03/04 to Blackburn then bought back 04/05 for 4.5 m then sold again for 1.25 m in season 09/10 so all in all club made 4.25m
2 Alan Hutton sold for 9m season 07/08
3 Charlie Adam season 09/10 firstly Blackpool then Liverpool with fee and the follow up 10% clause the total was 1.35m 4 Danny Wilson 2m season 10/11 so in total club has raised 16m against the reported 14m it cost to build the place.
What we have done with the other youths etc that have come through the system and been allowed to move on is another story.

Know SDM would clearly have known about EBT arrangements and you would think that most of the board would also have known, but what exactly did they know? also did the club take advice on the use of EBT or did they use the facillity fully aware that having been given advice it would be wrong to use it the way they were used which is what the tribunal have to determine no doubt. If however the use was based on correct legal advice and use in that manner is the club as guilty? again a question for the tribunal no doubt. Would really like to know exactly what the likes of John Greig knew about this.
Also although Alastair Johnston wants a Goverment Investigation in to the take over of the club by Craig Whyte which might well be a good idea given all the suggested money issues relating to him, just one serious question for Mr Johnston---just why did you state that any pending tax issue was the responsiblility of MIM and not Rangers FC?

celik davis ness wylde
aluko
cousin
plenty of attacking options and in ness possibly one of the best young players in britain

Any player who goes to parkhead and gets stuck in like big Cousin did last time he was here is ok in my book at least the guy has a bit of fight. The only thing concerning me is his age. In no way am I trying to compare the guy to legends such as Larsson, Giggs, Scholes and big Davie Weir etc but he's just turned 35 so it might be a good shout to get him onboard and boost our attacking prowess because right now we look absolutely toothless.

Former Rangers chairman Alastair Johnston has asked the government's insolvency service to clarify "certain financial arrangements" relating to the takeover of the club.
Craig Whyte acquired Rangers from Sir David Murray last year, but the club remains financially troubled.
Whyte has admitted securing funds of about £20m from the company Ticketus in a deal over future season ticket sales.
Johnston said: "Rangers' stakeholders are now demanding full transparency."
"I have had numerous approaches following the recent revelations in the press about the acquisition of Rangers Football Club and the use of future season ticket money.
"I am not in a position to answer all the questions put to me, but I do recognise the issue is causing much concern.
"I believe this is a prevalent view amongst Rangers' stakeholders who are now demanding full transparency about the funding of the acquisition of the club, its current financial status, and most importantly, the way forward.
"In order to allow all of the options potentially available to stabilize the club be explored, there must be total disclosure of all the underlying obstacles that need to be surmounted in order to achieve this.
"Therefore, in my capacity as the chairman of the club during the period when it has been alleged that certain financial arrangements of concern were executed by the buyer, I have formally requested that the Intelligence & Enforcement Directorate investigate and clarify this matter once and for all which is surely in the interests of all concerned."

This is the team I'd like to see against Dunfermline with what we've got at our disposal.
Shagger
Broadfoot Goian Bocanegra Wallace
Davis Edu Mckay Wylde
Healy Aluko
Surely we have to give Mckay a try now? Also I'm not a fan of Broadfoot but Bartleys been pish and Broadfoot at least goes forward. Also think Davis form has been bad since we moved him into the middle. Take the pressure off him and play him on the right and let him create from there.
We say we dont have the resources but either do 10 other teams in the SPL! Let's get a grip and come out fighting against Dunfermline. We need to send a message now and show some togetherness

‘Daniel Cousin deal could turn title race in our favour’ says Ally McCoist
RANGERS manager Ally McCoist believes that the return of Daniel Cousin could switch the momentum of the SPL title race back in the Ibrox club’s favour at a crucial stage of the season.
Now I know a lot of people have been feeling sorry for fat sally but I think it is to late to save him now. A 35 year old who has no club was no good previously and now he is going to win them the league.

If so then why ain't these other clubs been publicly investigated or are they on a smaller scale to us. Hi Ed, no disrespect to you, however as a regular reader and occasional poster on this site, (and I appreciate you listing my posts), I have been irked a little by some of the posts put on this site (a Rangers site) by other fans. I read a reply to a Rangers poster on this site by an ed (not sure which ed?) when they had the same disgruntlement as I'm having to be told if u don't like it don't come on the site. No disrespect Ed but, this is supposed to be a Rangers rumour/chat/discussion site yet it is inundated with comments/posts/rumours etc by Celtic fans. Not that I nor probably any other rangers fan on this site has a problem with that, but in moderation please. I mean, would. And do all the posts from rangers fans make the Celtic site edited by Ed007? I can tell you the answer to that....NO! So, all I'm asking Ed is please make this a majority Rangers page. Is that too unreasonable? {Ed001's Note - the site is not a Rangers only site, it is to talk about Rangers, if most of the posts talking about Rangers don't come from Rangers fans, well tough really. I, and the other editors, do delete a large number of posts, for various reasons, I am not going to start deleting posts because of the allegiance of the person posted it. There are many sites for Rangers fans only, this is not one of them.}
Believable8
Unbelievable6
Have to say Ed I agree that it is a site for everybody, but recently I have found some of the posts to be on the verge of insulting. A certain individual is using names etc and calling people who funny enough are not always on here because they are working, tax dodgers. That's not what the site is for, sure make fun of the team but give some other things a rest. Blue4ever {Ed001's Note - a lot are deleted for those exact reasons you give mate, a few still won't learn and get blocked.}

Why not give the eds a hand, grow a pair and leave a name.If you are gutless enough to post without leaving a name you can't really moan. How are they meant to know if you are a Bear or a septic fan when they have no way of ID you. Some guys on here really need to grow up and realise it is banter,if you can't take it go to FF and read how great everything is.

To the OP, start behaving like an adult. You sound like your throwing your toys out the pram, with your "make this a majority rankers site"! Your embarrasing yourself and your fellow bears.
Have you never sat in a pub with supporters of other teams? We discuss things that are in the paper, on the TV or on the net......whether that is Tax issues, lack of signings or poor attendances! I'm quite sure you sat with your mates laughing at Celtic during the nineties and close to going bust, so don't give it the moral highground now!
The Ed's work hard keeping out the bampots, without getting paid i might add! They screen all the texts and edit them accordingly or just delete them if necessary.
Also in defence of Ed 007 he allows most of the rankers fans posts! If you cast your (tiny) mind back to when rankers were 15 points clear the Celtic page was full of gloating rankers fans yet the Ed allowed them as it is BANTER!
