Have to say i'm disappointed in the lack of apreciation Fods gets. He's saved our skin time and time again and will only get better. Of course he could do better in big games but he's got bags of potential!

He's young, he's decent, he's a good lad and is only going to improve. I'm delighted to have him at our club.

11 Aug 2017 08:55:24
Agree, apart from Kenny, last season Fod was our player of the season, lost count of the number of times he earned points for us. Coaching staff just need to get him working closely and alligned with our new defensive pairing, particularly for defensive set plays.

10 Aug 2017 21:49:25
Couple things Bears - Did you see Windass last night? Busting a gut in the 85th minute to track his runner, even at 6-0 up. Yes his final product needs to improve but Pedro has already got more improvement out of him than Warbs ever did. He called him out 3 days ago and Windass took it on the chin and made sure he fixed the poor tracking he was called our for. Point being, the players are listening and they WANT to improve and play for Pedro.

Would love to see Walker and McLean but tbh I don't think we need them immediately.

10 Aug 2017 23:39:15
I agree windass this season so far excites me! I include pre season in that btw! System gives him more freedom! He was never a cm

10 Aug 2017 20:35:52
I see forrester has been told he can go for free now! I don't know what it is with him but he's a talented lad when he's in the mood and really showed in flashes the making of a player but obviously has a bad attitude as he seems to get passed from pillar to post!

I do actually hope he settles somewhere and starts to enjoy his football and show the player he can be.

10 Aug 2017 21:03:08
Agree totally, at the start of last season I honestly thought he was one of our better players but like u say Bluebaws his attitude must be terrible, I watch Fleetwood town quite a bit living down here and if they signed him and he did settle down a bit I'm sure he would do a very decent job, especially in league 1

11 Aug 2017 07:05:14
Forrester for me is way out his depth in the Scottish premiership along with the likes of Halliday and waghorn and most of the warburton signings hence the reason why they have all nearly been loaned out or moved on, but what I will say is they done us a great turn in getting us out the championship which was there job and they should all be proud of that achievement but it's now time for us to step up and get a more stronger physical presence about us which by the looks of it Pedro is addressing it nicely as I think this season I know it's just starting but I think we will be making a much better challenge to the eastenders although I don't think we will win the league we should definitely finish a convincing 2nd Place and hopefully get to within 10 points or so to the so called invincibles

10 Aug 2017 20:17:03
I want to apologize to all that have replied to my post regrading Pena, I don't want to waste our energies arguing over what the Pena saga is all about. let's get back just getting behind the club. What I will say a wee bit more info from the club would help to stop us supporters bickering.
Lets talk Hibs. I have a feeling as some have posted already they will do well this season and we mustn't underestimate the game on sat. NL will have them fired up and i think sat will be like an old firm game. I see all involved are playing this down in the media on purpose as they know it might turn ugly on and of the pitch. Stokes was a nightmare against us last time let's home we can nullify him. Top 6 for the season.
Celtic
Rangers
Hibs
Aberdeen
Motherwell
Saints
PS-do we all back Pedro or are some still not convinced, I like him but I liked Warburton so that shows how much I know.

11 Aug 2017 10:39:56
100% behind pedro and the team, but this carry on with pena is getting silly, we payed 2.5mil on a player "who needs time" for whatever reason. I'm sorry lads but if we are paying that kind of money for a player then I think its a disgrace that he hasn't kicked a ball in anger yet.

10 Aug 2017 17:43:45
I like Fod and for all his drama passing from the back he is some shot stopper. I would keep him in a heartbeat.

10 Aug 2017 14:45:35
Regarding big wes to Forrest, tell warburton to f right off. but Harry forrester is for sale, but something tells me he won't want him.

10 Aug 2017 14:43:50
Hope Wes stays . he will win nothing at Forrest . bread man is going to get panned

10 Aug 2017 15:12:08
He's Proven to unreliable in a lot off games iv seen him play don't understand we're people say he was our best player after miller, Fair enough her had a bad defence in front of him but still a lot off goals he let in should have been saved. Again if we get a fair fee off the the 🍞 Man then let him go and look for a better keeper that could link up with Alves and Cardoso.

10 Aug 2017 13:06:29
fods is a great keeper would let him go unless we were paid atleast 3.5million.

10 Aug 2017 13:34:46
3.5m would buy you 3 and a half wes's

10 Aug 2017 13:04:19
If fod goes i would luke if wee would give alnwick a chance with young keeper kelly as back up and keep the money for jan window.

11 Aug 2017 20:58:19
In English football Fod is worth easily £3 million. That doesn't buy the best which he isn't but he ok and worth that. We are appalling sellers and £500,000 for Mckay is evidence as £1 for Garner and Waghorn. We should start playing hardball. If a team wants Fod say £4.5 and maybe end up at £3.

10 Aug 2017 11:31:06
Do you think Halliday has a future with us? I think definitely a good squad player in the current set up.

10 Aug 2017 12:06:33
If our ambition is to start winning titles again (which it obviously is) then I don't believe he is good enough to be playing for Rangers.

10 Aug 2017 20:48:57
Halliday is a rangers fan number 1 and a decent player but he is simply not good enough to play for rangers I wish him all the best in the future

10 Aug 2017 11:20:22
Watched Pena at half time at Sheffield. Looked too heavy, lazy and had an attitude with Wagy and Morales while warming up.

10 Aug 2017 10:19:22
Hearing nottingham forest have put a bid in for foderingham

10 Aug 2017 10:26:19
No probs. 9m and he's yours.

10 Aug 2017 10:42:00
Yes good news get rossbach from odd in norway in

10 Aug 2017 11:06:44
I'm on the fence with fod, great shot stopper but rarely comes for crosses when he should, which puts us under pressure. Really does need to command his area better. If we were to sell, how much could we get/ expect? And who could we get as a replacement? Someone said 9mil above, not sure if that's sarcasm or a serious statement. I would love 9mil but in fairness, not a hope. I think about the 2mil mark and we would sell, as for a replacement, no idea.

10 Aug 2017 11:18:38
Sarcasm coldo. It's really just to highlight the ridiculous fees being commanded down south. At those prices I would be been a 2m centre half and I played all my days as a keeper!
As I keep saying, fantastic shot stopping abilities but his command of his area is very dubious. Work on that and he would be some keeper.
Personally I would like to keep him to see if with a bit of work he can't improve that side of him game. Positioning etc can be taught, shot stopping can't, and has it in spades.

10 Aug 2017 11:22:50
If we want a all round goalkeeper who is proven then we should look no further than magregor with alnwick is backup and fod shoul be camanding a fee of 1 mill and above not let go for penuts like the rest of the players

10 Aug 2017 12:30:13
Zander Clark from St Johnstone.

10 Aug 2017 13:48:50
Who's rossbach? Odd? Are they the national bobsleigh team?

10 Aug 2017 14:09:18
agree coldo - just posted something v similar to what you've said

if forrest want him if they can cough up 2.5 / 3m
and he can go

good shot stopper but consistently suspect at crosses for 2yrs now - not just fir park on sunday which seems to be everyone's focus. he's good but not that good

10 Aug 2017 14:21:36
Alnwick is good enough to be first choice I've seen him play in the championship he was in the team of the week more often then not sell fod bring young giy throo good bit buisness there!

10 Aug 2017 14:33:57
Sondre Løvseth Rossbach is a Norwegian football goalkeeper who playes for odd Before he joined Odd back in 2011, he was offered a 4-year deal with Manchester United, but he had to decline as a result of an operation in his anckle. He is considered one of the most talented goalkeepers in Norway.

10 Aug 2017 09:44:58
My prediction for the top five is
Celtic
Rangers
Hibs
Aberdeen
Saints.

10 Aug 2017 08:16:34
We must have overpaid The Pars back in 2003 as this was clearly a fix too. :-)

Thought we were good last night. Alnwick seemed assured.
Tav is gaining confidence again.
Alves and Cardoso were solid.
Hodson was better than usual.
Rossiter done well and got 90 mins.
Dorrans bossed it.
Windass got a full 90 and seemed to take Pedro criticism on board and burst himself.
Candeias delivered numerous deadly crosses.
Miller was his usual
Morelos was a complete pest in the box but seemed to become clumsy as he tired.

All in all a good outing. We need to be converting more of those crosses. It was good to see some of these guys improve their fitness with a full 90 (Tav, Rossiter, Windass, Morelos)

10 Aug 2017 10:12:11
You must have, because it helped bankrupt your club.

10 Aug 2017 10:43:37
How can you still find this remotely amusing after years of th same, extremely monotonous, rotten patter? Surely you've something better to do than trawl the internet commenting about rangers, no?

10 Aug 2017 11:20:20
Rutherglen, of course they don't, they tell us we are not the same club yet spend every free minute they have trolling on here. We can see the irony but the obsessed for some reason can't. By them coming on here is actually them admitting we are the same club otherwise they would be nowhere near here. They are litterally hanging out themselves every time they come on here.

10 Aug 2017 13:19:12
Bhampot, more to be pitied than scolded

10 Aug 2017 15:45:59
Bhampot. Your reference it having bankrupt my club!
Are you acknowledging the club that went bankrupt is in fact my club and therefore the same club? :-)

10 Aug 2017 08:16:27
Have to hold my hands up and admit I was extremely critical of Pedro last season (I still think that was warranted) and after Progres I was worried for the season ahead. Not once did I say I wanted him out but I was doubtful he would be the man to take us forward. If things keep continuing the way they are then he'll well and truely have made me eat my words. Last night night was another excellent performance to build on what we had before.

10 Aug 2017 08:43:07
Well said RB.

10 Aug 2017 10:08:52
Definitely, I was worried especially after the European game but he has stayed calm and sorted the team out with a few good performances in a row. Also glad to see Tav playing well, he looks as though he has knuckled down and worked on his defending which is the most important part of his game.
Good performance last night, will be a good test on Saturday cause as much as it pains me to say it hibs are playing pretty well

10 Aug 2017 10:14:12
How many games into the season are we? Bit early to judge, good or bad. Seems like a weekly thing with your fans.

10 Aug 2017 10:45:02
Nobody's saying we're world beaters though are they Bhampot? We're saying we're heading in the right direction which is pretty obvious after the few results. We're saying if things continue to improve like they have then it should be a much improved season.

10 Aug 2017 10:50:51
You seem very interested in our club more than your own mate?

10 Aug 2017 11:01:36
I know we talk tongue and cheek about their obsession with us but i honestly don't understand why they'd go out their way to come onto a Rangers forum and shout like little girls about how bad we are and how we should have titles stripped. Maybe from 12 year olds but not grown men, strange!

10 Aug 2017 11:07:03
Bhampot-I know nothing about you except that you support them and have become the most recent smart**** to come on here from the dark side and put us in our place as you, no doubt, see it. I don't know how old you are but if you can, think back to the start of the 1997 season. We like you then were well on top so weren't you clinging on to the hope that"this year it's going to be different" at any positive sign. Now multiply that feeling by the fact that your club has never had to go through what our club has gone t
hrough and probably never will. (Cue the smug comments in reply here, I imagine) So I don't blame my fellow Gers fans for feeling good about a positive performance and result even if it was"only Dunfermline" so why don't you show a little empathy but then again that's not what smug, self satisfied, smartalecs like you do, is it?

10 Aug 2017 07:49:04
I feel that the only difference between us and the unclean is the fear factor when teams play us they think they can take something and will go for it. when they play the unclean they set up with the opinion well if we take anything its a bonus. the teddies need to get that fear factor back which will take time the fans can also help by turning brox into the loudest and most intimidating place that any team will visit. so if you are a season ticket holder or lucky enough to get a ticket let's get right behind don pedro and his blue and white army. every home game is against the unclean the player will respond.

10 Aug 2017 07:43:22
I'm not sure about anyone else's opinion last night but I thought the two Portuguese guys Candeias and Cardoso were excellent last night. Bruno was also commanding. I know it was just dunfermline and not to get carried away but these guys excite me. Candeias especially looks a threat on the right. As for Morellos a good 90 mins under his belt. But I think he still needs to work on his sharpness. He got two but he should have had 4 or 5. It's very pleasing that the only thing I can be critical of was the fact he 'only' got two but for me, the goal opportunities will not be as frequent against tougher opposition including Hibs this weekend and he still looks a bit off the pace for me and lacking in sharpness. A very pleasing night overall and I'm sure said sharpness will come with more games.

10 Aug 2017 07:26:50
Great result/ performace from the boys let's not get carried away and buipd a bit more momentum team looks to be gelling so only posative leta go in to the tic game undefeted will pit us in a realy good postion will be brimming with confidence . In modfeild wee look realy strong . Miller only started i think untill the strikers have settled he's just there because of his experiance.

10 Aug 2017 06:59:20
well well well Teddies

As I said in Pedro we trust.

Too many were quick to jump on the get rid of pedro wagon.

The other side may do laugh, however play 80% as well as that throughout the season and its going for 55,

10 Aug 2017 07:27:39
Was never on any bandwagon myself but let's take one game at a time! Team starting to respond to pedros ways of playing the game! We will need to be right at it against hibs on Saturday as they will be laying it in big time

10 Aug 2017 04:24:00
Was at the game tonight and to be fair it was ONLY Dunfermline but I can't say a bad word about how much every player tried! What I do have to say is watch the Rossiter interview on Rangers TV and see how much this lad is up for it! He admits he's been injured but just look how hyped up he is and explains how good team moral is! Surely this shall put to bed the nae sayers surrounding our dressing room! Every player tonight showed a bit of hunger and I said it was only Dunfermline but we can only play what's in front of us!

10 Aug 2017 08:50:16
Rossiter played well barely misplaced a pass if even one sat in recieved ball spread play. Class only 21 him and jack similar and both can do a great job this season.

09 Aug 2017 23:55:18
Rossiter looked the part tonight. Mature, efficient does what should be asked of a defensive midfielder. If he shows the same level against spl sides then he should definitely be in the starting lineup. Cardoso rock solid at the back and Morelos looks like he is starting to find his feet with the 2 goals. Again if he can reproduce this in the league it would be fantastic. Overall I'm expecting a lot from these 3.

10 Aug 2017 07:44:52
Agree Rossi ter had a decent game last night but reckon Ryan Jack is first choice in that position and unless/ until Jack has a poor game/ gets injured or suspended then Jordan will spend a fair bit of time as a late sub off the bench.
